That may have been the hottest hour on television in some time. Crazy action topped off with a big title change. Looking forward to ROH heading north with good brother Micheal Elgin featured high on the card.

New ROH TV Champion... Just like that! The world was so busy watching the faction wars that nobody saw it coming... Something tells me that Jay Briscoe's next step is going to squash someone... Yikes!

ROH television never fails to disappoint and what a shocker in the main event with Christopher Daniels winning the ROH Television title from Jay Briscoe. Daniels following the Code of Honor was less of a surprise than Briscoe following it! Then Daniels blitzing Briscoe and winning the title in quick fashion was the icing on the cake. I did not see that coming. It was really a show full of surprises with Silas Young winning the Four Corner Survival match and Bennett getting a submission win over O'Reilly.

bookerbill - Michael Elgin intends to destroy Affluence in front of his hometown crowd. Does he have the team to do it? We'll have to wait and see. Pariah - Daniels winning was somewhat unexpected but Jay losing actually plays well into my future plans for him. We'll see what those are very soon. cruefan68 - It was definitely one of the cards where the results were well outside of expectations but that isn't always a bad thing. It would have been nice for Elgin to win going into his big PPV showdown with Affluence. Bennett winning actually fuels the Kingdom/reDRagon match, making the challengers look like the underdogs. And as I mentioned to Pariah above, Briscoe losing the TV title was not how I would have booked it but it does serve my future plans for him. Thanks reading and commenting fellas!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2016 Season Episode 15 Kazarian w/Christopher Daniels def. Adam Page w/Truth Martini by pin The Affluence/House of Truth conflict played out here in the ring but also at ringside with Truth Martini and Christopher Daniels trying to out-strategize one another. Page bludgeoned Kazarian who took a breather to get instruction from Daniels. Kaz got the upperhand brawling on the floor. He tried for a pin with a German suplex but Martini diverted the ref’s attention. A Shining Wizard by Kaz had Page in a pinning predicament but, once again, Truth distracted the ref. Daniels threatened Martini with his newly won ROH World Television Championship belt. It was Page taking a powder this time after a Flux Capacitor. During more fighting on the floor, Kaz ate the ring post and Page was back in the drivers seat. Kaz withstood Page’s Right of Passage and rebounded with his own version of the move, Fade To Black, for the pin. Daniels taunted Truth after the Affluence win. Mark Briscoe def. Matt Taven by pin Mark took on one half of the ROH World Tag Team champions in a scrappy slugfest. As Taven tried to stretch the advantage with a leap from the top rope, Briscoe reversed with a superplex. Froggy Bow followed soon after but Taven got his foot on the bottom rope. Mark dragged him to the center of the ring and hit Froggy Bow again for the three count. INSIDE ROH: Borders Wars comes to you on iPPV in one week! Affluence battles Elgin, Castle, Alexander & ACH! The Kingdom and reDRagon - no disqualification for the ROH World Tag Team Championship! Proving Grounds match - ROH World Champion Chris Sabin vs. Matt Sydal! The Young Bucks take on War Machine! Moose vs Donovan Dijak and these three just added : Jay Briscoe vs Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe vs. Adam Page, and Silas Young vs. BJ Whitmer! Ring of Honor from Toronto, Canada! The best wrestling on the planet! Jay Lethal & Moose def. Chris Sabin & Donovan Dijak w/Truth Martini by submission The top guns for Affluence and the House of Truth, Jay Lethal and ROH World Champion Chris Sabin led their faction’s big men to battle in this tag team grudge match. Lethal started out against Dijak. The 6’8” Dijak rag-dolled Jay but Lethal rolled out of the ring and grabbed Donovan’s leg, twice smashing it against the ring post, then applying a figure four leg lock around the post. Dijak fired back going for a pin after a big boot to the face then tagged in Sabin. A superkick, then Chris used the move he beat Jay for the title with, Hail Sabin. Moose came in to break up the pin. Dijak came in too and while the ref dealt with him, Moose thumped Sabin and put Lethal on top for the pin. Sabin kicked out but Jay was now in position to take his frustrations out on the man who defeated him for the ROH title. Moose tagged in once Lethal got his fill. Moose pounded the snot out of Chris, even taking up a chair against him at Lethal's insistence. Lethal tagged back in and worked over Sabin on the floor. Jay applied the Koji Clutch and Sabin was in trouble. Moose cut off Dijak and the two brawled up the ramp and through the curtain. Martini was helpless to assist his man and Sabin tapped out. Lethal tried taking the ROH title belt but the ref wrested it out of his grasp. Lethal made a big statement, ensuring he remained in the title picture. Next: Border Wars!

That was a helluva main event... Not only was it a big feather in Lethal's cap... It might mean that Sabin will not be fully focused going into Border Wars... Could Sydal capitalize on the situation and pull off an upset over the World champ in his Proving Grounds match? That would be something...
With Kazarian's victory to open the show, Affluence had a banner night... Despite their recent setback, they could still be the most prestigious stable in the company...
Great stuff!

That main event of Jay Lethal & Moose over Chris Sabin & Donovan Dijak was really intense and what a great finish. Lethal made sure that Affluence is still a threat by tapping out Sabin, the ROH World Heavyweight champion, in dramatic fashion. Border Wars is looking great and I agree with Pariah that Matt Sydal has a chance to capitalize on some lost momentum for Sabin in that Proving Grounds match. I also can't wait to see the Kingdom vs. reDRagon in the No DQ match for the ROH World tag team titles.

Pariah , cruefan68 - Lethal and Affluence are still the top dogs as a whole but will Elgin & Co. be able to bring them down a notch? And the time is indeed right for Matt Sydal to strike as Chris Sabin's confidence has taken a hit. The answers are around the corner in Toronto at Border Wars. But first, a detour to Sandy Fork. Uploaded to the Ring of Honor YouTube Channel: Who's the better Briscoe?Mark Briscoe - “Jay! From how everyone was talkin' I thought you was out here droppin’ people on their heads. Jay Drillers left and right!”Jay Briscoe - “That’s what I been doin’.”Mark - “But you got your ass whupped by Chris Daniels. He just took the TV title from you!”Jay - “Oh, you think you coulda done better?”Mark - “I do believe I coulda.”Jay - “Oh, here we go again! You thinkin’ you’re the better Briscoe. How many times we gotta go through this? I’m the big brother. I’m a triple crown winner in ROH. Only three men have done that. And you ain’t one’a them.”Mark - “Is that right? Is that right? Well, I know how we can settle this. Brother vs brother! Briscoe vs Briscoe! Civil war in Sandy Fork!”Jay - “Nah, man. We’ve done that already. What we’re talkin’ about here is - what I’ve done compared to what you haven’t done.”Mark - “I can beat anyone you can. Line ‘em up!”Jay - “A’ight, a’ight. Here’s what we do. We’ll do a little ‘pick yer poison’. I pick your opponent for a match then you pick mine. We do that, say, five times. Whoever wins the most is the better Briscoe.”Mark - “Okay. I’m on board. Border Wars. Who’s my opponent?”Jay - “Hmm. Let me see. Mark Briscoe. One-on-one. Against… Adam Page.”Mark - “Wha..? I’m supposed to be takin’ you seriously right now?”Jay - “Hey. Don’t doubt the young man. He can scrap. Who you got for me?”Mark - “And in this corner. From Tampa, Florida. Mr. ROH. Roddy Strong!”Jay - “Huhn. Good pick. Then we're set. May the best Briscoe win.”
Mark - "Time to man up!"

Briscoes best of five challenge series - can't wait! I love the twist with each picking the opponent for the other. I must say you are on point with your Briscoe promo writing as I could hear that going on in my head. Excellent.
