Definitely a big win for Page... Beating someone of Jay Briscoe's caliber has to raise his stock exponentially... Looking forward to what he's able to accomplish as an encore...
Speaking of big wins, reDRagon made quite a statement against War Machine... No matter who wins the upcoming top contenders match, they could be in for an uphill fight... Taking the belts away from Fish and O'Reilly will not be easy...
Lethal challenging Adam Cole (BAY BAY!) for the top prize at Final Battle... Love it!

I hate to see Michael Elgin go but there is nothing wrong with wanting to make roster changes. It will be interesting to see what happens when Elgin takes on Kenny Omega at Final Battle. Great to se reDRagon pick up the big win over War Machine cementing their reign as champions. Adam Page over Jay Briscoe is a big upset in my book. Good on Page for pulling that off.

Pariah , TTX , cruefan68 - The big win by Adam Page seems to be what everyone is talking about. He will be rewarded for his recent success with a shot at the TV title at Final Battle. Should Donovan Dijak retain during this episode, it will mean former House of Truth members will collide for the belt! Thanks for following along!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2016 Season Episode 36 ACH def. Silas Young by pin There probably aren’t two more contrasting stars on the ROH roster than Young and ACH. Silas’ grouchy demeanor being the polar opposite of ACH’s over-exuberance. ACH controlled the pace early on with his video game-like style. Young bashed his way back into the match, really battering his opponent around. Down the stretch, ACH wore Silas out with a prolonged Superhero Grip and multiple leaps from the top rope. ACH’s Big Bang Attack brought it home. ROH World Champion Adam Cole came to the ring with his Affluence teammate Matt Taven. Before Adam even had a chance to get two words out, the crowd erupted in chants of “LETHAL! LETHAL!” Cole sported a sour look as Taven held his hands over Adam’s ears to block out the fans. After a short display of disgust, the pair were alerted to the presence of Jay Lethal as he sauntered up the aisle with a wide grin on his face. He climbed into the ring, causing Taven to take up an aggressive stance. Adam put up a hand to keep Taven back as he made a pointed inquiry of Lethal. “Is this what you wanted, Jay? To have all these morons cheering your name. Is that what this has all been about?”Jay, still smiling, requested the mic and proclaimed: “Make no mistake, Adam. There’s only one thing I want, the only thing that this has been about - the ROH World Championship and proving that I am the best in the world. Not you!”Before things could escalate, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, the veteran members of Affluence, appeared, making their return after a short absence from ROH. A wild-eyed Daniels pacified the three as he looked each one in the face. He took the mic from Lethal and laid into them. “We go to Japan for a month and come back to this?! What is wrong with you two?!”“Who does he think he is?” Taven pointed at Lethal. “Acting like he’s the best. Cole’s the World Champion.”Daniels scrutinized Taven. “This didn't get blown out of proportion until you joined the group. Which I was against. I don’t trust you. As a matter of fact, if you’re listened back there Truth Martini, I’m on to you.” Taven showed an expression of disbelief. “Adam and Jay have butted heads in the past but you show up and and they are back at each other’s throats worse than ever. Your buddy Truth saw a weakness and now he thinks he can exploit it. Well, the Ring General will not be outmaneuvered.”“What are you talking about?” Cole blurted with exasperation. Lethal took the mic back. “Enough of this nonsense. There’s only one thing anyone wants to know right now. You want to be the best in Affluence? You want to be known as best in ROH? Hell, the world? You’re going to have to prove it, Adam. Not just to me. Not just to the fans. You need to prove it to yourself. And until you beat me, you haven’t proven a damn thing!”“You know what,” Cole responded. “I’ve had enough of your crap. I’m the leader of Affluence. I’m the ROH World Champion. And if it takes beating your ass to make that clear to you, you’ve got it. Final Battle. Cole versus Lethal for the ROH title!”Daniels leaned back with his hands on his head then tried to talk sense to his teammates. Neither paid him any mind as they engaged in a staredown until Taven coaxed Cole into leaving. Daniels and Kaz tried to discuss things with Jay but the new challenger just basked in the crowd chanting his name. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Donovan Dijak w/Truth Martini def. Dalton Castle by pin Kevin Kelly flagged down Dijak’s manager Truth Martini, as he made his way past the announce position. “Truth! Truth Martini! Speak with us a moment. Do you have any comment about the allegations made by Christopher Daniels? Are you instigating things in Affluence through Matt Taven?”“No comment Kevin Kelly. Hahahah! All you need to worry about right now is watching the big man show you why he is the most dominant Television champion in ROH history.”Castle impressed early, physically controlling the much larger and imposing Dijak. Truth got more concerned by the minute. So much so, that he felt compelled to interject himself on his wrestler’s behalf after Dalton attempted to get the pin with a Deadlift German Suplex. Donovan turned things around after that and pounded the stuffing out of Castle. Dalton withstood two consecutive Feast Your Eyes by Dijak. The Television champion went to his finisher a third time, putting away his persistent foe. Going into the break, Matt Taven was seen coming down the aisle as the House of Truth headed to the back. Taven and Truth did not acknowledge each other in passing. ROH Update“Ian Riccaboni here with the last ROH Update before Final Battle. Pending the result of tonight’s main event, the lineup for our biggest card of the year is complete: Adam Cole vs. Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship reDRagon to defend the ROH WOrld Tag Team Championship against either ANX or The Addiction Kenny Omega returns to do battle with Michael Elgin The Young Bucks in a final showdown against the unlikely duo of Cheeseburger & Joey Daddiego with Veda Scott in their corner Donovan Dijak defends the ROH World Television Championship against his former ally in the House of Truth, the resurgent Adam Page Four Corner Survival featuring Matt Taven, Chris Sabin, Dalton Castle, & ACH Silas Young welcomes the debuting Lio Rush A four-way tag team contest between War Machine, The Briscoes, Matt Sydal & Caprice Coleman, and either The Addiction or The All Night Express Tune in live on PPV for what is sure to be the most talked-about show of the year!”
Back from the break, Matt Taven joined Kevin and Steve at the commentary table. Kevin asked Matt what he was doing out here again during an Addiction match. “Hey,” Matt replied. “I’m supporting my Affluence buddies for this big number one contender-ship match. It’s like cheering on your favorite grandpa playing horseshoes. Except there’s two of them. This should be exciting!”#1 Contender MatchThe Addiction def. The All Night Express by pin Christopher Daniels cast a suspicious eye on Taven. With Daniels’ attention divided, Kenny King took the advantage in the opening moments. Kenny rocked Chris with some big slams and running attacks but was stopped cold with a Last Rites from Daniels. Kazarian tagged in and went for the Flux Capacitor and King was in trouble. Kenny got a boot up as Kaz charged him in the corner and tagged out to Rhett Titus. The Addiction maintained their advantage and Rhett had to tag back out, suffering at the hands of “The Fallen Angel”. Taven commented that “The old guy is looking good.” Daniels put a beating on King as well, dropping him with Angel’s Wings for the win. Taven stood up clapping and pointed at Kaz and Daniels shouting “You guys are gonna be the champs!” Daniels just glared at him in return. Kevin Kelly signed off with some last minute hype for Final Battle.

Totally stoked to see that line get clearly drawn in the sand... The big question for Affluence - Where will The Addiction stand when it comes time to choose one side or the other? Daniels seems to think that the House of Truth is behind the friction within his camp... But, the Almighty is a clever man and I'm not sure he's letting everyone see the real picture as he sees it...
Looks like all the soldiers are in place for Final Battle... Can't wait!

TTX - Unfortunately, until Dalton Castle is updated, his wins will be sporadic. Pariah , cruefan68 - Final Battle is here and Affluence is at ground zero. The results may not be what you expect.... FINAL BATTLE 2016 December 24, 2016 New York, NY The All Night Express def. War Machine, Jay & Mark Briscoe, and Matt Sydal & Caprice Coleman by pin ANX were the workhorses of this match as they spent most of the match in the ring. Raymond Rowe was at the receiving end of most of the offense and took a lot of damage throughout the contest. Kenny King pinned Rowe after he and his partner, Rhett Titus, combined on a string of moves. War Machine got some boos as Rowe refused to follow the Code of Honor. Silas Young def. Lio Rush by pin A gruff Silas greeted the ROH newcomer as expected, referring to Lio as just a boy and no competition for “The Last Real Man In Professional Wrestling”. Rush dazzled Silas at first with his speed but it didn’t take long for Young to start putting a beating on his opponent. Silas cut off every attempt at a comeback by Lio and continued raining boots and fists down on him. Weakening his opponent with the Stock Lock set Silas up for a Pee Gee Waja Plunge for the three count. Four Corner SurvivalMatt Taven def. ACH, Dalton Castle, and Chris Sabin by pin Four potential title contenders met with the winner guaranteed to move up the rankings. Sabin and ACH started out with a lightning-paced display. Castle was in next and rag-dolled Sabin for a bit until Taven tagged himself in against the Party Peacock. Matt regretted it, as Dalton manhandled him as well. ACH tagged back in and went to the top rope but Taven caught him with a superkick as he jumped. Taven then went on a tear against ACH, racking up pin attempts and getting the win with a swanton from the top rope. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPAdam Page def. Donovan Dijak(c) w/Truth Martini by pin Dijak has been on a roll as Television Champion and Page has looked good since his return. The story here was that prior member Page has not associated with The House of Truth since he has been back and Martini seemed to try and reach an agreement with him before the start of this match. Adam just pushed him away and Dijak flared up at someone putting hands on his manager. At the bell, Page rushed Dijak and unleashed some knife-edge chops. Dijak just grinned and brushed his chest with his hand before blasting Adam with a running lariat. Donovan pounded on Page who withstood the assault and made a fiery comeback, impressively getting Dijak up for the Rite of Passage and a near fall. Page kept the pressure on but seemed to be losing momentum until he executed a fireman’s carry backbreaker which was effective enough to set up another Rite of Passage. Martini grabbed Donovan’s boot and pulled him out of the pinning predicament. Page continued to press the advantage but was halted by The Dijection. Donovan missed a moonsault from the top rope and a third Rite of Passage by Page had him in trouble. Martini slid the Book of Truth into the ring to assist Dijak but Page intercepted it and bashed Donovan over the head with it. Page made the cover for the pin and became the new Television Champion. The Young Bucks w/Stokely Hathaway def. Cheeseburger & Joey Daddiego w/Veda Scott by pin After Matt and Nick Jackson joined Veda and her men in the ring, they said they had a little surprise for her. They called Stokely Hathaway down to the ring and said he would be their manager for tonight. Veda looked to be on the verge of a temper tantrum but composed herself. Nick started out with a “Suck It!” for Joey, who responded by dropping Jackson with some Golden Gloves boxing jabs. Nick fought back in his usual reckless manner and combined with Matt for More Bang For Your Buck. Cheeseburger broke up the pin attempt. The Bucks followed up with a Meltzer Driver. Veda tried to interfere but Stokely grabbed her as Matt scored the pin on Daddiego. Post match, the Bucks gave Cheeseburger a Superkick Party. Veda struggled against Hathaway’s grasp. The Bucks joined them on the floor and held her, coaxing Stokely to join the party. Stokely let fly with an embarrassingly sloppy superkick to his restrained target and was overcome with joy afterward, savoring his revenge against the woman who ruined his reputation and caused him to lose his job as ROH host. Michael Elgin def. Kenny Omega by submission The much anticipated confrontation between these two stars left the fans in attendance disappointed as Elgin decimated Omega in mere minutes. Kenny was bludgeoned by strikes and rattled by Buckle Bombs. A crossface submission by Big Mike got an immediate tap out. ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPreDRagon(c) def. The Addiction by pin As has become customary of late, Matt Taven joined Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino on commentary for a match involving his Affluence teammates, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, The Addiction. Bobby Fish started out against Daniels. The two traded offense but Fish tagged in Kyle O’Reilly as Chris started to get the better of him. A brainbuster by Kyle got a two count on Daniels. As Chris kicked out, O’Reilly transitioned into Armageddon. Daniels looked close to tapping out but made a last ditch lunge for the rope break. Fish tagged back in and knocked Kazarian off the apron with a Flying Fish Hook. Bobby and Kyle then set Daniels up for Chasing the Dragon. Taven jumped up from the announcers table and tried coming to Daniels aid but was pelted with kicks from reDRagon. Having disposed of the interloper, Fish and O’Reilly went back to Chasing the Dragon for the finish, retaining their titles. Once the champions made their exit, there was a confrontation between Daniels and Taven with Kaz trying to keep the peace. Daniels was yelling at Taven, wanting to know what he was doing getting involved in their match. Taven fired back that they were getting their butts kicked and needed his help. The tensions remained high as they all departed. Kevin Kelly pondered what effect this would have on the main event, if any. Steve Corino suggested that maybe they would be too preoccupied yelling at each other to get involved in the title match which was next. ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPAdam Cole(c) def. Jay Lethal by pin The long-running rivalry between Cole and Lethal culminated in this match for the richest prize in Ring of Honor. Not only was pride and bragging rights also on the line, but perhaps the future of Affluence as well. Could ROH’s premiere faction survive the bad blood and fractioned leadership that has lead to this point? The competitors grudgingly followed the Code of Honor. Lethal threw the opening blow, a European uppercut that Cole evaded, catching Jay’s arm and turning him into a reverse DDT. Lethal hit the mat hard. As Jay shook out the cobwebs and tried getting to his feet, Cole mounted the top turnbuckle and executed a Panama Sunrise. The crowd was on it’s feet as the ref went in to make the count. 1, 2… kickout. The main event of Final Battle would not end in a flash victory for the ROH Champion. Adam pulled Jay up and hit him with a brainbuster onto his knee. Cole hit a superkick and went for the Last Shot again. Jay was reeling and Cole stayed on him, eventually working him into position for a figure four leglock. Lethal escaped only to be on the receiving end of another Panama Sunrise. Thinking it was surely over, both Cole and the crowd were dumbstruck when Jay kicked out of the pin attempt. Cole wrapped the staggering Lethal up in the Florida Key and slammed his shoulders to the mat and bridged. There was no escape for the challenger this time as the three count was made. Cole had won in dominant fashion, cementing the fact that he was not only the ROH World Champion but the unquestioned top dog in Affluence. A broken spirit-ed Lethal kneeled in the center of the ring wondering how things could have gone so bad. After reclaiming his belt, Cole approached his vanquished foe and regarded him expressionlessly. Slowly he extended his hand to Jay. Lethal stared up into his eyes and, to the surprise of many, gave it a quick shake before rolling out of the ring and making a hasty departure. Cole climbed the turnbuckle, holding the belt high in celebration as the broadcast concluded. Current Rankings:
ROH World Champion - Adam Cole
- Jay Lethal
- Mark Briscoe
- Michael Elgin
- Adam Page
- Donovan Dijak
- Matt Taven
- Chris Sabin
- ACH
- Silas Young
- Dalton Castle

Even though the finish to the main event was a little anticlimactic, it certainly has me hungry for what's to come... By all appearances, Affluence will remain intact... Who will be the next to rise up and challenge Cole for the World title? Maybe even more importantly... Where does Jay Lethal go from here?
Tension also seems to be mounting between Daniels and Taven... For the timebeing, Kazarian has succeeded in the role of peacekeeper... But, he has to be getting tired of all the nonsense... Kaz is really the one that I can picture striking out on his own in the near future... Either that or he's going to start handing out some ultimatums to his stablemates...
Omega's appearance was an utter disappointment... Wonder if there was a cause for his lackluster performance... Take nothing away from Elgin however... Big win for Big Mike...
Congrats to Adam Page on claiming the TV title... And ANX looked quite impressive in the opening bout on the card...
Gotta say that I was not real impressed by the actions of Stokeley or the Bucks... Despite what the audience might think of Ms Scott, that little post-match display was pretty cowardly... Superkicking a woman while she's being held by two other men... Even if Stokeley wasn't guilty of the previous allegations made by Ms Scott, he now has a real reason top be ashamed of himself...
Awesome show!
