I was waiting for your next CZW show and just realized that ROH was back. I enjoyed both of the recent shows and like Pariah noted the Stokely Hathaway angle is very interesting. Looking forward to finding out more. Also Jay Lethal aligning with Adam Cole and Matt Taven is a surprise but is Lethal truly aligned with them in Affluence. I think Jay is playing mind games with Cole, Bay-Bay!

Pariah - Ha ha! Yes, I thought that Bobby Fish bit came out pretty good myself. He can be quite the cheeky muse. As far as Stokely Hathaway's situation, I don't intend to make any kind of social commentary but the relevance is there. Did he have it coming? You bet. Was it justified? That depends on motivation, doesn't it? More to come as the story unfolds. cruefan68 - Yup, I had too many ROH ideas waiting to get out so, CZW returns to the back burner for now. Ha ha. As for Jay Lethal remaining in Affluence, it may come across as a swerve but it was not for the sake of doing it. Are Affluence finally on the same page? They, and the ROH faithful, may not have time to find out. How's that for ominous?
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 3 Adam Cole & Matt Taven def. ACH & Lio Rush by pin Cole and Taven now have their sights set on the ROH World Tag Team Championship, determined to claim the gold for Affluence and succeed where their former teammates, The Addiction, failed. Their first step down that path was against the energetic duo of Rush and ACH. Cole had his hands full with Rush at first but got his team on track. Lio survived a Hail Mary by the Affluence duo but Cole wrapped him up with a Florida Key and put his shoulders to the mat for the three count. ACH never saw action. Veda Scott came to the ring and asked for some TV time to talk about her recent ordeal involving Stokely Hathaway. She wanted it known that Hathaway’s actions were unwarranted and a personal violation. Most of the crowd supported her brave stance but some were dubious. “While Ring of Honor punitively terminated Stokely Hathaway’s employment, that wasn’t enough. You see, while Stokely was the one who assaulted me, he’s not the one to blame. Ring of Honor is to blame. Ring of Honor fostered the situation, enabling his ill intentions toward me to escalate. The final straw was Ring of Honor, and in particular matchmaker Nigel McGuinness, allowing Stokely Hathaway at ringside during a match I was managing at Final Battle. He was not an employee of ROH or Sinclair Broadcasting. He did not have a valid manager’s license. He had no business being there. Instead, he should have been treated as a security risk and an endangerment to the well being of one of their employees, namely myself. It is a clear case of negligence. And it is for that reason that I am bringing civil suit against Ring of Honor and Sinclair Broadcasting.”With that, Veda set the microphone down in the center of the ring and curtly departed. There was an awkward silence in the building and the commentary team were at a loss for words. Kevin Kelly uncomfortably threw to commercial. Returning from the impromptu break, Kevin Kelly apologized to the viewers and explained that they would not be able to discuss the situation further for legal reasons. Steve Corino started to speak: “What is Veda Scott thinking…?” Kevin cut him off. “King, I’m sorry. But we can’t say anything further about it. Not even the slightest comment.”Steve put his hand up, pursed his lips, and nodded apologetically. With that they returned to the action in the ring. Jay Briscoe def. Dalton Castle and Matt SydalThis triple threat match was between three fan favorites and the crowd was divided in their support. It was a frantic melee with Briscoe as the standout. He pinned Castle after a Military Press DVD. ROH Update“Hello, fans. Ian Riccaboni here with your ROH Update. We are just one week away from Honor Reigns Supreme in Dallas, Texas. We have all of the talent lined up for our big return to Texas. As previously announced, Roppongi Vice make their ROH debut against the Young Bucks. ROH World Television Champion Adam Page takes on ACH. The Affluence team of Adam Cole and Matt Taven face The All Night Express. And just added, Donovan Dijak squares off against newcomer Lio Rush. Also signed to appear: Christopher Daniels and Kazarian -The Addiction, Jay and Mark Briscoe, Dalton Castle, Chris Sabin, and more. Join us in Dallas or catch the VOD at rohwrestling.com!”Kenny Omega def. Jay Lethal by pin The television main event was a big one. Members of the Ring of Honor roster have gotten the best of Omega in recent outings. Lethal wanted to continue that trend and “The Cleaner” sought to reclaim some of his pride. The two shook hands but Lethal’s opening shot was an eye rake. Jay slapped a figure four leg lock on the temporarily blinded Omega. Reaching for the ropes, Kenny got the break. Angrily, Lethal grabbed his opponent’s leg and smashed it into the ring post. Jay did not relent. After some more offense, he went back to Omega’s leg, cracking it twice more against the post and applying a figure four again. Kenny wouldn’t give and tried reversing his fortune by blocking a dragon suplex and giving Lethal one of his own. However, hobbled by his damaged limb, Omega was on the receiving end again. His opening came when he rolled out of the way of Hail to the King. Looking to capitalize, Kenny went for the V-Trigger. The knee strike hit home but it hurt Omegajust as much, having used his damaged leg to land the blow. Fighting through the pain, Omega got to his feet at about the same time Lethal did. Fighting spirit took over as "The Cleaner" dug deep and got Jay up for Croyt’s Wrath. His bridge for the German suplex was weak but it was enough to get the pinfall. The two followed the Code of Honor and Kevin Kelly mentioned that they already had a rematch scheduled in Japan next month. " Could we see a rubber match at the 15th Anniversary show?"

Omega and Lethal gave an exceptional performance to close out a high energy (and thanks to Veda, somewhat dramatic) show... Totally stoked that Cole and Taven were able to put a strong win on the board... Perhaps they will climb the rankings and earn a shot at reDRagon for the tag belts - Truly a match I'd love to see...
Looks like you've got a few irons in the fire and I'm really excited to see what's next to burn... Awesome work, as always!

That Kenny Omega vs. Jay Lethal match was outstanding and it was good to see "The Cleaner" pick up a big win. I also enjoyed the other matches with Jay Briscoe winning the Triple Threat and Adam Cole & Matt Taven picking up a strong win while also setting their sights on tag team gold. Veda Scott filing a civil suit against ROH? Business is about to pick up...

Pariah , cruefan68 - The Omega/Lethal match was pretty good and I am glad The Cleaner got a win. I want him to be a PPV attraction but I can't do that if he's always losing. As hinted, expect a rematch between those two in the future. Cole & Taven will make a run of it as long as it doesn't interfere with Adam's world title defenses. The last few TV shows have been thick so here is a no-frills house show before I start gearing up for the 15th Anniversary Show, which should be eventful. Thanks for commenting guys! HONOR REIGNS SUPREME January 28, 2017 Dallas, TX Dalton Castle def. Christopher Daniels by pin The opening contest looked like it was going to be a squash match as Daniels subjected Castle to his full repertoire of signature moves. It was in the final minutes that Dalton made his comeback and pinned “The Fallen Angel” with a Deadlift German Suplex. Jay Briscoe def. Kazarian by pin Kazarian got off to a strong start but Briscoe was quick to turn it around and finish him with a Jay Driller. Chris Sabin def. Cheeseburger by pin Sabin easily beat Cheeseburger in a couple of minutes. Burger showed enough heart to kick out of Hail Sabin only to have Chris go right back to the move again, ending it. Lio Rush def. Donovan Dijak by pin A true David vs. Goliath matchup. Rush used his speed to confound Dijak. The big man put together some serious offense of his own. This competitive contest ended as Lio connected with Dragon’s Call for the pin, getting him his first win in ROH. Mark Briscoe def. Joey Daddiego by pin Mark tried starting the match with some of his humorous antics but Daddiego was having none of it. Briscoe tried a crane kick but Joey caught it and tore into him. Mark took a pummelling and Daddiego worked a Texas Cloverleaf to weaken his opponent. Joey continued to rough up Mark, throwing him into the guardrails at ringside. Briscoe fought back while they were on the floor and took control. Joey withstood some of Mark’s strongest moves and came back to pound on Briscoe some more. Mark was in danger for a while but made a last minute surge, hitting Froggy Bow for the win. Daddiego refused the Code of Honor after what was a really good showing. Adam Cole & Matt Taven def. The All Night Express by pin There was no lack of bravado with these two teams in the ring. Cole and Taven were looking to get one step closer to a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship and no one could dispute that that road would have to go through former champions, Kenny King and Rhett Titus. Rhett opened with a big right hand and a Thrust Buster on Cole to get the crowd into it. King tagged in and ANX hit a legdrop & splash combo with Cole rolling out to the floor for a powder. Back in the ring, Adam took a Coronation from King for a one count. It got scrappy and dirty tactics put Cole in the driver’s seat. He worked on Kenny a bit, then tagged in Taven. Kenny was ready for him and got the momentum back, tagging in Rhett. Taven and Titus had history and Matt looked to tag out but Rhett cut him off from his corner. Taven took some shots but made the blind tag and Rhett ate a double team superkick from Affluence. Cole hit Titus with some big shots and went for the Florida Key. Rhett kicked out but the ROH World Champion went right to a Panama Sunrise. Taven knocked King from the apron and Cole got the three count. ACH def. Adam Page by pin Most of this match was back and forth counters with both men struggling for the advantage. ACH started building momentum and got on a strong roll. Page was overwhelmed by the high flying offense of his opponent and ACH was victorious with a Dragon Fly. “Hangman” Page, the ROH World Television Champion, has now lost his last two non-title matches. The Young Bucks def. Roppongi Vice by pin RPG Vice were making their ROH debut. The Dallas crowd gave them a nice reception. The pace of this match was off the charts. The teams worked back and forth but the Bucks soon isolated Rocky Romero from his partner Baretta. Matt and Nick Jackson made rapid tags and executed with fluid teamwork. The Bucks gave Romero an Indytaker but Rocky kicked out at the last moment. More Bang For Your Buck followed and this time Barreta made the save. Indytaker for a second time and Rocky kicked out again! The crowd was on their feet. As Nick hit Romero with a series of strikes, Rocky made the blind tag. RPG caught Nick with double jumping knees to turn the tide. Trent? took it to Matt in and out of the ring but got caught going to the top rope. The Bucks gave him a Meltzer Driver but only got a two count. More Bang For Your Buck on Baretta and the match was over. The Bucks left the ring still on a winning streak and the Dallas crowd started a “Please come back!” chant for RPG Vice. Current Rankings:
ROH World Champion - Adam Cole
- Mark Briscoe
- Kenny Omega
- Jay Lethal
- Adam Page
- ACH
- Caprice Coleman
- Jay Briscoe
- Chris Sabin
- Kazarian
- Lio Rush

Enjoyed all the action Dallas... Especially that big tag team victory for Cole & Taven... Proving the members of Affluence are just as hungry as ever... Too sweet!

Pariah - Cole & Taven are riding high but they are about to hit a roadblock this episode. TTX - Castle winning is always good by me for sure. The Young Bucks are on a roll for once so maybe we'll see them in the title picture soon. Thanks for reading and commenting, guys!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 4 The show began with The Addiction, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian coming to the ring. “The Fallen Angel” had something to say: “Adam Cole. Matt Taven. Affluence… You seem to think that you can kick us out of the group, forget about it, and move on to the next thing. Like going after the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Well, that’s not the way this is going to work. We’re not going away. As a matter of fact, if my calculations are correct, we’re higher up in the tag team ranks than you are. You want a shot at the world titles, you have to go through us! Now Adam, I know you have a ROH World Championship defense at 15th Anniversary but we’ll be here waiting once you’re done.” Affluence’s music began to play and Cole and Taven emerged with cocky smiles. Adam had a mic: “Chris, face it. You guys are old news.”“Emphasis on the 'old',” Taven interjected. “As in - ‘Out with the old’.”Cole laughed and continued. “The two of you are in our rear view mirror. We don’t have time for you to have ‘one last ride’.”Cole and Taven laughed. Daniels, nodded, letting them have their fun for a moment. “I have some news for you boys. This ride is far from over and you’re still on it. I had a little talk with Nigel McGuinness this afternoon. I said ‘Nigel, I know you don’t owe us anything but I’m asking you… No, I’m begging you. Give us those two punks on TV so Frankie and I can show the world who the real talent in Affluence was.’ And guess what? Nigel liked that idea. So, Adam? Tonight, Frankie Kazarian gives you the beating of your life. And next week, I finally get my hands on you, Taven.”Cole and Taven were incredulous and left as the crowd cheered on Daniels and Kazarian. Silas Young def. Jay Briscoe by DQ As could be expected, this match was a slobber knocker. Silas was in charge for the duration, with Briscoe being disqualified in the end for using a chair. The fight didn’t stop with the bell as the two continued to brawl until they were separated. Adam Cole def. Kazarian by pin Matt Taven accompanied Cole to the ring, both displeased with the situation. Kazarian had Christopher Daniels by his side when he came out. The referee’s first order of business was to toss Taven and Daniels. Matt protested but Daniels happily complied. Cole tried getting the jump on Kazarian but Kaz reversed and scared Adam with Back to the Future for a two count. They traded offense, Cole relying on cheap shots while Kaz executed with flawless precision. Kaz got another near fall and later kicked out of Cole’s Florida Key. Cole pulled ahead as Kaz started wearing down. Adam snuck in a shot to the head with his championship belt and applied a figure four leglock around the ring post before finishing Kaz with a Panama Sunrise. Cole mockingly shook his prone opponent’s hand after the bout. ROH Update“This is Ian Riccaboni with your Ring of Honor Update. Coming up is Ring of Honor’s 15th Anniversary Show live from Las Vegas on Pay Per View. All of the ROH greats will be there and we can confirm the main event for that night. Adam Cole will defend the ROH World Championship against Mark Briscoe! As the rest of the card gets lined up, we can announce one more title match for the show: Lio Rush will face either Adam Page or Caprice Coleman for the ROH World Television Championship! Stay tuned to Ring of Honor Television in the weeks to come to see just who the Television Champion will be going into 15th Anniversary.”Roppongi Vice def. The All Night Express by pin Beretta got the early advantage on Rhett Titus. As Rhett began to get the upper hand, Beretta tagged in Rocky Romero. Neither man could establish an edge and Rocky made the quick tag. RPG hit double jumping knees and Beretta made the cover for a two count. RPG used their teamwork to stay on top of Titus and went for Strong Zero. Titus kicked out and the fans started a “This is awesome!” chant. Rhett tried getting pumped, struggling to get to his feet. Trent? hit him with a Gobstopper but Titus kicked out strong at one. Beretta was getting frustrated and ran his hands through his hair. Isolated throughout the match, and with his partner Kenny King unable to get into the action, Titus was finally put away with Strong Zero. After losing their debut to The Young Bucks, RPG Vice showed how good they were by dominating the former ROH tag team champions.

Very cool main event victory for RPG Vice... But, they should make other plans if they're thinking of trying to derail the the dynamically righteous duo of Matt Taven and Adam Cole BAY-BAY! Cuz just like Kaz learned the hard way (and Daniels is going to learn very soon)... It ain't gonna happen... #onesweet

I enjoyed seeing the house show slipped in between the television broadcasts, good stuff. Cole & Taven vs. All Night Express and the Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice were awesome. I also loved seeing Dalton Castle pull off a huge win over Christopher Daniels. Good to see Roppongi Vice bounce back beating ANX on episode four. I am really looking forward to that fifteenth anniversary show in Las Vegas.
