RING OF HONOR TELEVISION 2013 Season Episode 38 The show opens with Homicide coming to the ring (wearing an Adam Cole t-shirt). He takes the mic from Bobby Cruise. "Mike Bennett! In case you couldn't tell: that was me calling you out at Defy or Deny! Come and take your medicine! And bring your puta with you if it makes you feel better!" The crowd is riled up, hoping to see Homicide take down Bennett. After a long pause it is obvious Bennett wants nothing to do with this challenge. "Okay, Holmes, I'll track you down later. So is there anyone else here who has the cajones to fight me?" Mike Mondo's music plays and he makes his entrance, living up to the name 'No Fear'. Mike Mondo def. Homicide by DQ Homicide had no problems with Mondo. Despite this he is once again disqualified for attacking his opponent with a fork. Smiling like a lunatic, Homicide got right into the camera with his ghetto fork: "Mike Bennett, I can't wait for you to say hello to my little friend!" Steve Corino def. Michael Elgin by pin The crafty veteran got the better of his powerful foe. Corino used flying clotheslines to set up Old School Suplexes. The fourth one finally pinned Elgin. INSIDE ROH: Highlights from Defy Or Deny 2 are shown revealing that each participant, Jay Lethal, Michael Elgin, and Mike Bennett, was eliminated by ROH World Champion, Roderick Strong. This means that three of Strong's top contenders are now out of the title picture. Who will step up to challenge Strong at Final Battle? ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPRoderick Strong def. Caprice Coleman by submission Coleman put up a good fight and kept Roddy on his heels for a good portion of the match. But the ROH Champion out-maneuvered and out-lasted his opponent, getting a submission with the Strong Hold. Martini and the Hotties interfered on multiple occassions. Taven finally maneuvered Thomas into the Arm Trap Headlock Driver. TD kicked out at two but Taven hit him with it a second time for the win. FOUR CORNER SURVIVALQT Marshall def. Kyle O'Reilly, BJ Whitmer, & ACH by pin O'Reilly started out against Marshall and right away had him caught in a Guillotine Choke. ACH came in to break the hold. O'Reilly missed a jump from the top rope and Marshall took over on offense. QT roughed up O'Reilly with help from R.D. Evans and Whitmer had to break up the pin after God's Gift. Marshall continued his assault on O'Reilly and pinned him after an Alabama Slam. The American Wolves def. The Young Bucks w/Truth Martini by DQ Davey Richards started the match out against Nick Jackson and destroyed the Buck with kicks. Eddie Edwards tagged in and went for a pin after Die Hard. Matt Jackson saved his brother with a superkick to Eddie's face and reversed the pinning situation. Edwards kicked out but Nick managed to tag in a fresh Matt and they gave 'Die Hard' Early Onset Alzheimer's. When Richards tagged back in, he gave Matt a multiple suplex assault that ended with a bridging German suplex. Nick came into the ring and clobbered Davey with the Book of Truth. The Bucks were disqualified. Steve Corino def. Mike Mondo by pin Corino and Mondo threw down in a violent, hard hitting brawl. Corino had the early advantage and busted Mondo open with what looked to be a foreign object. The sight of his own blood flipped a switch in 'No Fear' and he pummeled Corino for the remainder of the match. Despite this, Corino pulled out the win when he dodged a Mondo charge in the corner and rolled him up with a hand full of tights. After intermission, Homicide came to the ring, once again wearing an Adam Cole t-shirt. He called out Mike Bennett saying that he was a b***h and he couldn't run anymore. Brutal Bob came through the curtain waving his arms and shaking his head to call off the match. Homicide said if Bennett was too much of a p***y to fight then he would take it out on Bob. Behind Homicide's back, Bennett came through the crowd and attacked him. The ref called for the bell for the match to start. Mike Bennett def. Homicide by DQ Bennett's ambush did not get him far as Homicide turned the tide and started beating him down. After a piledriver on the ring apron, Bennett is almost counted out of the ring. As we have become used to seeing, Homicide produced a fork and began to jab it into Bennett's head. The referee disqualified 'The Notorious 187' but that didn't stop him from continuing his attack on Bennett. Brutal Bob drew Homicide's attention from his man and while Homicide throttled him, Bennett escaped to the back. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPShelton Benjamin def. ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPThe Briscoe Brothers def. C&C Wrestle Factory by pin Caprice Coleman started out good against Jay Briscoe and brought Cedric Alexander in for some double team combos. After a botched C&C Connection Combo, the Briscoes trounced Cedric and leveled him with a Double Football Tackle with Mark Briscoe getting the pin. After the match, Jay got on the mic and said their was no disrespect to C&C but there was no competition for them in ROH. The crowd backed them up but they were interrupted by a familiar theme song. At that point, The Kings of Wrestling came through the curtain and the crowd exploded. Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli got in the ring and Hero snatched the mic away from Jay. He said the Briscoes now knew what it was like for the Kings when they held the belts. He then said that he remembered the Briscoes weren't competition either. Both sides started getting worked up as ROH officials struggled to keep them apart. The crowd loved it as chants for both teams could be heard. ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Roderick Strong def. El Generico by submissionThe internet hype for this match was lackluster, drawing comments that it was not worthy of main eventing Final Battle. Strong and Generico silenced the critics by putting on the best match of the night. Generico had the champ reeling from the opening bell. Strong was near defeat on more than one occasion , barely kicking out of Generico's pin attempts and avoiding being counted out of the ring. Once Strong started his comeback, Generico began favor his back as Roddy used backbreakers and the Gibson Driver to do damage. After the break, The House of Truth gathered backstage. The Young Bucks stood behind Truth Martini as he again welcomed their newest member, Matt Taven, who was being caressed by the Hoopla Hotties. Kyle O'Reilly showed up and the mood changed with Truth becoming uncharacteristically serious. "Kyle, we need to talk." "About what, Truth?" "Well... you see, Kyle, one of us here doesn't really fit in." "Dork," Matt Jackson said under his breath. "What did you say?" Kyle responded sharply. Taven put his hand up to calm Kyle. "Kyle, it's just... you're missing something." "A tan," Matt Jackson interjected. "What?" replied Kyle. "I don't have long hair and wear silly bandannas? I'm a wrestler. I'm not trying to be in a hair band." "That's not it Kyle," said Truth. "The Bucks: they know about Hoopla. Matt Taven: he's all about the Hoopla. Kyle, do you know about Hoopla?" "Actually, Truth, I don't know what you're talking about. And you know what? I don't care!" O'Reilly walked away as Nick Jackson called after him, "See ya later, Opie!" Bobby Fish def. RING OF HONOR TELEVISION 2014 Season Episode 2 BJ Whitmer def. Matt Taven w/Truth Martini by pin Whitmer manhandled Taven with his stiff style. BJ covered Taven for the pin after an Adrenaline Spike. Taven adhered to the Code of Honor but the House of Truth proved they were anything but honorable. At the top of the ramp BJ turned to acknowledge the crowd one more time when, from behind, the Young Bucks came through the curtain and gave Whitmer a double superkick sending him down the ramp and sprawled on the floor. The Bucks started playing air guitar while Taven, Truth, and the Hoopla Hotties laughed it up in the ring. The Bucks soon found out what it's like to be attacked from behind when Kyle O'Reilly blasted each of them with a clubbing forearm across the back. A few martial arts kicks of his own sent the Bucks scurrying to the ring to take refuge with the rest of the HoT. BJ regained his bearings and realized that O'Reilly came to his aid. He offered the young star his hand and after a moments hesitation, Kyle shook it. Truth had a conniption in the ring while the crowd ate it up. Mike Mondo def. Cedric Alexander by pin Mondo out-muscled Alexander while Cedric could do little to put 'No Fear' in trouble. A pair of jumping big boots knocked Cedric silly and Mondo scored the pinfall. INSIDE ROH: The Kings of Wrestling have been signed to face C & C Wrestle Factory at the next live event from Pittsburgh. Also signed for that card is a Proving Ground match with ROH World Tag Team Champions, the Briscoes, to take on Jay Lethal and ACH. The Kings cut a promo saying that the Briscoes are ducking them and that the Kings have beat JCH. The Briscoes respond saying that matchmaker Nigel McGuinness is the one who made the decision and that the Briscoes run from no one. El Generico def. Steve Corino by DQ 'The King of old School' mauled Generico for most of the match. Corino repeatedly struck Generico with a foreign object hidden in his tights. Generico would not go down though and mounted a momentary comeback. He crashed and burned on a moonsault attempt and Corino went back to work. Steve used his foreign object for a final time and it was once too many. When he hit Generico with it, it exploded sending quarters all of the ring. Referee Paul Turner disqualified him. Corino stood seething for a moment then unleashed an Old School Kick on Turner. He was soon joined in the ring by his partner Bobby Fish. The two continued to assault Generico and used Chasing the Dragon a number of times to injure the Generic Luchador. ROH officials and ring attendants flooded the ring and the Gaijin Express laid them all out. Corino used Old School Lariats while Bobby cranked on ankles with the Fish Hook. The show ended with the scene of Corino and Fish standing in the ring, surrounded by prone bodies a their feet. Next week: ROH World Television Championship match - Shelton Benjamin vs. QT Marshall

It was cool seeing Whitmer win, but the HoT are dirty and they paid back Whitmer with an attack. I also liked the victory by Mike Mondo...

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION 2014 Season Episode 3 Eddie Edwards def. TaDarius Thomas by pin TD used the Code of Honor to get a hold on Edwards and take him down. This only served to tick Eddie off and he proceeded to beat the snot out of Thomas. A chin checker rattled TD enough for Eddie to get the pin. Mike Bennett def. Adam Cole by pin Cole came out firing on all cylinders. He put together a seamless string of offense and Bennett twice had to kick out of the Florida Key. Interference by Brutal Bob set Cole up for the Photo Finish but Homicide stormed the ring and went after Bennett. 'The Prodigy' evaded his attacker and Bob sucker punched Homicide. While it didn't hurt Homicide, it did draw his attention and he chased Bob to the back. Bennett went back to work on Cole and defeated him with the Box Office Smash. INSIDE ROH: Kevin Kelly announced that Steve Corino and Bobby Fish have been suspended by Nigel McGuinness for their attack last week on El Generico. A video clip from Nigel reminds Corino that he ran him out of ROH once when he was part of S.C.U.M. If he has to do it again he will. Corino and Fish also supplied a clip explaining that the attack was in protest of McGuinness always giving title shots to the same people. Generico will be on the shelf indefinitely and Kevin wished him a speedy return to the ring. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPShelton Benjamin def. QT Marshall by DQ Marshall was completely ineffective against the TV champion. Seeking refuge outside of the ring, Marshall is pursued by Shelton. When R.D. Evans got in Benjamin's way, Marshall used the opportunity to give Shelton God's Gift through the timekeeper's table. Marshall knew right away that he was in trouble and the referee confirmed it with a strict disqualification. Next week: Live event from Pittsburgh!

After a brief hiatus, my Ring of Honor fed is back! I'll be picking up where I left off. EXPLOSIVE CONFLICT January 25 2014 Pittsburgh PA The Kings of Wrestling came to the ring at the start of the show. Chris Hero said the Kings should be in the main event but they won’t be buried in the middle of the card. He called out there opponents for tonight insisting that they go on first. Nigel McGuinness okay-ed it and the show got under way. Kings of Wrestling def. C&C Wrestle Factory by pin C&C started hot against Hero but botched their finisher. Claudio dominated Caprice Coleman but when Cedric Alexander came back in he turned things around for his team. C&C botched their finisher a second time and Cedric paid for it. Despite the terrible pounding he took, Ced would not be pinned. Hero resorted to using his Loaded Rolling Elbow to KO Alexander for the win. After the match, Hero once again called out the Briscoes saying the Kings wanted their belts back. Matt Taven w/Truth Martini def. Rhett Titus by pin These two put on a very athletic match. Taven pulled ahead in the closing minutes and pinned Titus after an Arm Trap Headlock Driver. Davey Richards def. Rhino by pin There was an intense head-to-head stare down between the two. A very hard-hitting match which saw each man going through a table. Richards looked a lot better than Rhino this night and got the pin after an Alarm Clock. Young Bucks w/Truth Martini def. BJ Whitmer & Kyle O'Reilly by pin Whitmer and O’Reilly have come together because of their mutual dislike for the House of Truth. The Bucks used outstanding teamwork, isolating BJ. O’Reilly never saw action as the Bucks win in dominant fashion with More Bang For Your Buck. Truth Martini runs around the ring holding the Book of Truth in the air as the Bucks play air guitar on the ring apron. Homicide came out during introductions for the next match. Both Mike Bennett and Adam Cole were on guard considering their recent history with The Notorious 187. Homicide gave Bennett a choice: either this match is made a Fight Without Honor or he would have to wrestle Homicide instead. Bennett said he would fight Cole but Adam wasn’t very receptive to throwing the rules out. Homicide told Cole that it was time for him to be a man. Cole accepted. Homicide then chased off Maria and Brutal Bob. FIGHT WITHOUT HONORMike Bennett def. Adam Cole by pin It didn’t take long for Bennett to put away Cole. Adam was hurt by a Russioan leg sweep against the barricade and The Prodigy hit the Box Office Smash. Cole kicked out after Bennett’s finisher but a tombstone piledriver was all he could take. Bennett did not waste time leaving and he exited through the crowd hoping to avoid Homicide. Michael Elgin def. Shelton Benjamin by DQ What promised to be a good match ended quickly in controversy. First thing the ROH World Television Champion tried was to suplex Elgin. Elgin just shook his head and shoved Shelton into the corner. When Elgin charged in, the TV champ played matador and Elgin went crashing to the floor. Shelton grabbed the title belt and slammed Elgin in the face with it. Elgin won by disqualification but the fans were not happy about it and neither was Elgin who fumed as the smiling Benjamin retreated to the back. PROVING GROUND MATCHJay Lethal & ACH def. Jay & Mark Briscoe by DQ JCH were looking to earn a future title match against the ROH Tag Team Champions. The Briscoes obviously had the Kings of Wrestling on their minds when they came out and destroyed ACH. It seemed that they did not care about winning this match because Mark blatantly blasted ACH with a chair ending the match prematurely on a disqualification. The crowd went ape as the Briscoes trashed ring side. Lethal checked on his partner but they were mostly forgotten in the chaos. ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Roderick Strong def. Mike Mondo by pinThe main event was a clumsy, awkward display that left the crowd disappointed. The competitors were out of sync and Strong took it home early with a Gibson Driver. Current Rankings: Singles: - Roderick Strong
- Shelton Benjamin
- Mike Bennett
- Michael Elgin
- El Generico
- Steve Corino
- Mike Mondo
- Bobby Fish
