The 15th Anniversary show delivered some seriously breathtaking action from start to finish... Especially enjoyed Taven making a statement against Daniels and reDRagon continuing to prove they are the measuring stick in the tag team division... Rush looked great in his match against Hangman and will make an exciting TV champ... And the rubber match between Lethal and Omega was everything a fan could want... However, the big news is Adam Cole BAY-BAY! Still your ROH World champion! And oh yeah, that closing segment was something else too... Looks like the Truth might be out of commission for a bit... Look out Dijak... Or you might get PUNISHED like his manager... But, here's the question - Who brought this monstrosity to Ring of Honor? Perhaps there's a hint in another question... Who has been PUNISHED already? This is brilliant storytelling, my friend... In case it isn't obvious, I think Martini is definitely the second domino to fall... Very nice work! Once again this man says it all. Pariah always has a great view of things and I agree with all of his points here. 15th Anniversary was stellar and although I wanted Kenny Omega to win you have to hand it to Jay Lethal for coming up big. Also, Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!), enough said. You continue to outdo yourself with your presentation of ROH and I'm happy to be along for the ride.

Pariah , cruefan68 - I'm glad you guys enjoyed 15th Anniversary. Affluence may have shown that they are the top dogs in ROH but there is a new force bringing the winds of change. Not all will survive. No more clues for you at this time, Detective Pariah! Let your current speculations simmer for a bit.
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 7 Adam Page def. Kyle O'Reilly and Hanson Hanson was a beast in this match, involved in most of the action. From the start, it was he and O’Reilly battling it out as they repeatedly tossed Page to the side each time he tried to get involved. This was actually to the Hangman’s advantage as they did quite a bit of damage to each other. Kyle put Hanson in a triangle choke, working for a submission. Hanson tried powering out and O’Reilly transitioned into Armageddon. As Hanson looked close to tapping, Page interjected himself and blasted O’Reilly with a short-arm clothesline and then dropped him on his head with Rite of Passage for the win. Silas Young def. Jay Briscoe by pin The growing rivalry between Briscoe and Young could be summed up as two tough guys who don’t like each other and just wanting to fight. The first few minutes were a lot of give and take with counters. Silas jumped ahead with a stun gun on the top rope that really did a number on Jay, who never got back into the match after that. Silas used the Last Real Man Lariat effectively and worked the Stock Lock to weaken Briscoe for the Pee Gee Waja Plunge and the win. Heading to the back, Young commented to the camera that he thought Briscoe was a real man “...but I guess I was wrong.” ROH Update“Hello, fans! Ian Riccaboni here with your ROH Update. Ring of Honor returns to the Big Apple in three weeks for Manhattan Mayhem VI. The main event for the evening will be the long-awaited showdown between Adam Cole and Matt Taven of Affluence against The Addiction of Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. ANX and War Machine have met in a three way match and a four way match but in New York they will come together in their first head to head contest. More announcements next week for Manhattan Mayhem. So stay tuned to the best wrestling on the planet!”TAG WARS MATCHTruthless (Chris Sabin & The Young Bucks) def. Infernal Affairs (Kenny Omega & Roppongi Vice) by pin This opening round Tag Wars match would be the first step towards crowning the inaugural ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions. Kevin Kelly explained the Truthless name to new viewers, informing them that Matt and Nick Jackson were once managed by Truth Martini and that Chris Sabin had been managed by Truth until this point. He speculated that this may be a foreboding indication of Truth’s fate after the attack on him at 15th Anniversary. Steve Corino then pointed out that Kenny Omega’s leg was heavily wrapped and that it may have been injured in his match against Jay Lethal at the 15th Anniversary show. Sabin started out against Omega and got the advantage right away against his hobbled opponent. After suffering a Yakuza kick in the corner and a superkick, Kenny left the ring to recoup. Sabin followed but got his head slammed into the announcers table, after which, Omega put on a spare headset and let Kevin and Steve know that Infernal Affairs would win Tag Wars. Beretta tagged in and he and Rocky Romero double teamed Sabin with a codebreaker/double stomp combo. Rocky put a Diablo Armbar on Chris who managed to reach the ropes. Sabin was finally able to tag out and the Bucks hit Romero with an Indytaker with Beretta coming in for the save. The Bucks worked over Rocky for a bit before he was able to tag out to his partner. RPG turned the tables and double teamed Matt. Omega came back in but had trouble. He got some offense in against Sabin but ended up taking more of a beating, having to kick out of Cradle Shock. The Bucks hit an Indytaker on Omega with Beretta making the save again. “The Cleaner” then withstood More Bang For Your Buck. The Bucks were relentless and went for a Meltzer Driver. That was all Omega could take and the team of Truthless moved on in the tournament, eliminating Infernal Affairs.

Cool to see a six-man tag team title tournament underway and it was interesting to not only see the Bucks and Omega on opposite sides but Omega looking up at the lights to boot. Truthless is a great name for the Bucks & Sabin trio. I have to say the idea of a Silas Young vs. Jay Briscoe feud is great. Nice win for Young on this night. The winds of change? I'm no detective like Pariah so my guess is no guess at this time

Pretty much gonna echo the sentiments of our friend, cruefan68... Really like the original teams you put together... Much cooler than just combining Omega and the Bucks by default... And the brewing feud between Young and Jay Briscoe had the potential to be one of the most brutal ever... Awesome work!

cruefan68 , Pariah - For Tag Wars, I wanted to come up with some unique teams. And I made it a point not to have Omega and the Bucks together. There will be NO Bullet Club here! For a no nonsense, slobber knocker of a feud, who better than Jay Briscoe and Silas Young? Thanks for reading, guys! (You too walkswithwolf !)
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 8 Mark Briscoe def. Bobby Fish by pin Fish had a strong showing against Briscoe, who was just coming off of a failed attempt at winning the ROH World title, and came close to beating him on a couple of occasions. However, Mark made a huge comeback, hitting two Cut-Throat Drivers and Froggy Bow to put away one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions. NO DISQUALIFICATIONJoey Daddiego def. Cheeseburger by pin Cheeseburger almost pulled off the flash win, going for an Alligator Clutch submission with his opening move. Burger confounded Daddiego, evading his attempts at offense. Joey pulled the carpet out from under him though, lighting him up with Golden Gloves boxing jabs before finishing him with a Death Valley Driver. ROH Update“Greetings, ROH fans! Ian Riccaboni here with your Ring of Honor update for this week. Manhattan Mayhem is coming up fast and all the biggest names in ROH will be there. New ROH World Television Champion Lio Rush will be in non-title action against Dalton Castle. And a lot will be riding on ACH’s match against Jay Lethal. These two have faced each other twice before, splitting victories. But more importantly, should ACH win, he will be that much closer to a shot at the ROH World Championship held by Adam Cole. All the more reason for Lethal to block his way to the gold that Affluence has controlled with an iron grip. We’ll have more announcements for you next week. See you then!”Caprice Coleman came to the ring with the new ROH World Television Champion, Lio Rush. Coleman explained that he and his regular tag team partner, Matt Sydal, were scheduled to participate in Tag Wars with Rush as Air Show, but Matt wasn’t going to be able to make it. On commentary, Kevin Kelly clarified that Sydal had travel difficulties getting here from Japan. Caprice then introduced Sydal’s replacement, ACH. The boisterous ACH made his appearance and made a round of greeting fans at ringside. Kenny King and Rhett Titus, The All Night Express, came out. They were miffed and asked ACH what was up, wasn’t he supposed to be teaming with them for Tag Wars? ACH shrugged with a big grin and didn’t really explain himself. ANX were not happy and said they would do this by themselves if they had to and promised ACH that he would be the on the losing side. Dalton Castle’s music started playing and he made his usual flamboyant entrance with The Boys. Castle offered to team with ANX: “ You guys like to go all night. I like to go all night. Let’s make it a threesome.”“Dalton,” King responded. “I think we might be talking about different things.”“I’m talking about wrestling!!” Castle exclaimed. “Are we going to do this or what?!”Kenny and Rhett conferred. They nodded and accepted Castle’s offer. TAG WARS MATCHAll Night Express & Dalton Castle def. Air Show (Caprice Coleman, ACH, & Lio Rush) by pin Titus and the Rush started off and the TV Champion found himself in trouble right away as ANX hit him with the One Night Stand. King made the cover and it was over just like that. ANX talked smack at ACH as Castle seemed confounded by his lack of participation and had to scold The Boys for fanning Rhett instead of himself.

Oh, snap... Quite a statement by ANX in that main event... Could we be looking at the inevitable winners of Tag Wars?
And even though Castle didn't play much of a role, any appearance by the Peacock is purely entertaining...
Wild show!

I actually like that you don't use the Bullet Club, it gives your ROH a different feel. Man I really wanted Air Show to win that main event but what a shocking way to lose to ANX and Dalton Castle. I did like the antics of Castle and the Boys afterward. Nice wins for Joey Daddiego and Mark Briscoe underneath. Manhattan Mayhem is looking good and I like the ACH vs. Jay Lethal with the potential ROH title shot for ACH hinging on a win.

Pariah - The team of ANX & Castle could do well in Tag Wars but I'm afraid Dalton may be the weak link (ie. card) in that equation. I would put my money on Truthless. Most of the teams have a weak link (not intentionally) but Sabin and the Bucks are SOLID. cruefan68 - I didn't exactly expect Air Show to win but I was hoping for more of match after the set up I did prior to it. I am halfway considering a house rule that tag matches can't end unless all members of each team have been involved. This has been happening to me too much lately.
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 9 Raymond Rowe def. Donovan Dijak by pin Both Dijak and Rowe came to fight and they slugged it out with the fans 50/50 in their support. Rowe assaulted Dijak with an array of suplexes, wearing the big man down. At one point, Dijak used the ropes to pull himself up and froze, staring out into the crowd. Standing in the front row was the tall, goth-looking man who attacked his manager, Truth Martini. With Dijak distracted, Ray struck with Death Rowe. Dijak kicked out of the pin attempt but suffered the move a second time and was pinned. The loss seemed to be the farthest thing from Dijak’s mind when he recovered. He scanned the crowd but the dark figure who had been stalking him was gone. WOMEN OF HONOR MATCHKelly Klein def. Taeler Hendrix by submission On commentary, Kevin Kelly stated that ROH was proud to present this first Women of Honor match. Taeler started it off with a bang, head butting Klein. Shaking it off, an intense Klein methodically took Hendrix apart, forcing her to tap with the End of the Match. ROH Update“Welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor Update, I’m your host, Ian Riccaboni! We’re one week away from ROH’s return to New York City. We’ve already announced some of the big matches you’ll see, including the main event with Affluence taking on the Addiction. There will also be another Tag Wars first round match as Briscoe Burgers - the team of Jay and Mark Briscoe with Cheeseburger, face off against Two Fisted - the double tough team of Adam Page, Silas Young, and Joey Daddiego. Also on the card that night you will see Donovan Dijak, reDRagon, Chris Sabin, The Young Bucks and more! If you’re in the New York area, tickets are still available. The rest of you can join us on iPPV to enjoy the best wrestling on the planet!”The Tag Wars main event was next. Affluence came out and Adam Cole, Matt Taven, and Jay Lethal had to be considered among the favorites to win the tournament. They probably felt this too as they confidently waited for their opponents. The Addiction’s music played and Cole and Taven laughed. “Is this a joke?” Cole blurted as Christopher Daniels and Kazarian came out. Adam asked for the mic. “Uh, you guys know that this a six-man match, right? I don’t know who in there right might would want to team with the two of you, let alone against Affluence bay-bay!”Christopher Daniels nodded, waiting for Cole to have his moment. He then explained that he and Kazarian had no trouble finding a partner. One who would love to show punks like Affluence the meaning of respect. With that, former Ring of Honor Champion Jerry Lynn came out. The crowd popped big time. Cole and Taven continued to joke. “Hey, Adam,” Taven joked. “I didn’t know we had three grandpas.” The two laughed but Jay Lethal shoved them, letting them know that they needed to take this seriously. This seemed to sober up his two brash partners as The Addiction came to the ring with a wrestling legend. TAG WARS MATCHAffluence def. The Addiction & Jerry Lynn by pin It was Lethal and Daniels starting out as “The Fallen Angel” took Jay to the mat and applied a painful crossface. Jay pulled himself to the ropes to get the break and Daniels booted him out of the ring. Lethal grabbed Chris by the ankle and pulled him toward the ring post and cracked his leg against it. Lethal then went for a Koji Clutch but Daniels wouldn’t tap. Taven tagged in and worked on Daniels’ neck as he had done in their recent encounters. Cole tagged in and Daniels ate a double team superkick. Kazarian was able to tag in but ended up with his shoulders to the mat for a two count from a Florida Key by Cole. Lethal was back in against Kaz who turned things around with some mat wrestling. Jay was not stifled for long as he turned things back in his favor and landed Diving Dynamite for the pin. Jerry Lynn ended up not getting any ring time except post match when Cole and Taven started to mock him being a non-factor, at which he took up a chair and chased them from ringside. The Addiction were disappointed with their showing but Kevin Kelly said that they would have a chance at redemption next week at Manhattan Mayhem.

Calling it right now... The team to beat... Lethal, Taven and ADAM COLE BAY-BAY! Even with Jerry Lynn at their side, the Addiction were no match for the Affluence trio... Excellent show!
* On a side note, I dig that house rule of not allowing a tag match to end until all participants have been involved... Might give it a test run in my GWF.

Nice to see the Women of Honor debut and that was a strong win for Kelly Klein. The Affluence trio of Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!), Jay Lethal and Matt Taven could go all the way as that was a solid win over The Addiction & Jerry Lynn. I think I have a new favorite team in Tag Wars - Briscoe Burgers! Looking forward to their showdown with Two Fisted.
