Oh, snap... Omega challenging Adam Cole to a face off in the Cleaner's home and native land... Off the chain! I couldn't have said it better myself. Omega vs. Cole in Toronto would be incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed that last show.

Swarm - Thanks for the comment about the clean layout. I, for one, find too much 'flash' in fed presentation distracting, so I personally like to keep it tight for the most part. Pariah , cruefan68 - I wasn't planning on Cole and Omega meeting quite yet but I needed a challenger for Border Wars and it's in Canada, so... Thanks for reading and commenting guys. And now it's about to get crazy...
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 14 The opening of this week’s show had everyone’s attention as BJ Whitmer came out to the ring. There were a lot of unanswered questions about Whitmer’s role in helping Damien Martinez injure Donovan Dijak at Supercard of Honor. BJ explained the motivation behind the attack. “Donovan Dijak and Truth Martini tried ending my career last year. Not only did they take the ROH World Television title from me but they put me on the shelf for months. I had no way to pay my medical bills. My family went hungry as I recovered. Well, House of Truth, you should have finished the job because now you’ve been burned to the ground.”The crowd were mixed in their response but went silent as eerie music heralded the arrival of Damien Martinez. The big man stepped through the curtain and stood there meeting Whitmer’s gaze. After a moment, he stepped aside and another man came through the curtain. On commentary, Steve Corino was excited, naming the man, Kevin Sullivan, going on to reverently state that he was one of the most evil men in the history of professional wrestling. Sullivan stood there a moment as the crowd took it in. Whitmer looked anxious in the ring. Sullivan and Martinez climbed between the ropes. “BJ Whitmer,” Sullivan began. “We gave you that which you wished for - the Punishment of your enemies. I’m here to remind you of the deal we made. Now, it’s time for you give us what we want.”Whitmer licked his lips. Was there panic in his eyes? He paced back and forth until Martinez stepped closer. BJ stopped and nodded to himself then took a knee at Sullivan’s feet. Kevin pulled a small container from his robe and opened it, dipping two fingers in. He took those fingers and smeared a black X on Whitmer’s forehead. Sullivan then gripped BJ’s head between his hands and looked up, eyes rolling back in his head. Whitmer shook in his grasp and the intense moment ended with BJ collapsing to the mat. The crowd was silent. BJ soon began to rise and once again take a knee before Sullivan with a blank look on his face. Kevin reached into his robes again and produced, as Steve Corino explained, the infamous Golden Spike. Sullivan held it out and BJ accepted it with palms held out. The trio then stood together in the ring, Sullivan silently laughing to himself, accentuating the already ominous atmosphere. After the break, Damien Martinez remained in the ring for the first match of the night. Sullivan and Whitmer were in his corner. Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino discussed the events of the the first segment. “Can you believe it, Kevin? The Taskmaster! The Prince of Darkness! Kevin Sullivan is actually here in Ring of Honor!”“I don’t know that that’s a good thing, Steve.”“Well, I think it’s great.”Damien Martinez w/Kevin Sullivan & BJ Whitmer def. Hanson by pin Hanson tried opening with a big boot but Martinez side-stepped him and hit a leaping turnbuckle splash. Curb stomp and Leap of Darkness led to Hanson getting pummeled around ringside. Back in the ring, Damien doled out more punishment before going back to the outside. South of Heaven on the floor had everyone in the arena on their feet, drawing in breath. Martinez got Hanson back into the ring for another South of Heaven. Damien looked in the direction of Sullivan, who shook his head. Martinez went for a third South of Heaven, this time getting the nod from Sullivan to go for the pin. The ref counted three, ending Martinez’ dominant performance. Jay Lethal def. Kyle O'Reilly by pin O’Reilly got the jump on Lethal with a spike DDT and went right into Armageddon. Jay scrambled to the ropes for a break. Lethal mirrored Kyle by reversing a whip into the ropes with a DDT of his own and slapping on the Koji Clutch. It was O’Reilly’s turn to reach for the rope break. The two stood up after the stalemate and the crowd gave them an applause. Kyle went on a tear and Lethal responded in kind, each with pin attempts, making this a very competitive outing. Jay went to his standby, bashing O’Reilly’s leg against the ringpost. Lethal went to the Koji Clutch a couple of more times before taking it home with the Lethal Injection. ROH Update“Ian Riccaboni here with your Ring of Honor Update. ROH heads north of the border for Border Wars, coming to you live from Toronto! The speculation on social media that has had the wrestling world on fire can no be confirmed. The main event for Border Wars has been signed: Adam Cole faces Kenny Omega for the ROH World Championship! Also signed is the Two Fisted team of Silas Young, Adam Page, and Joey Daddiego making their first defense of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship against Briscoe Burgers in a Tag Wars rematch! Tune in next week for more announcements and more of the best wrestling on the planet!” The Young Bucks def. ACH & Lio Rush by pin The main event promised to be high-octane as Matt and Nick Jackson faced off against ROH World Television Champion Lio Rush and the high flying ACH. The Bucks used flawless teamwork to wear down ACH, setting up for the Indytaker. It was too soon to get the three count and the Bucks continued to work on ACH. More Bang For Your Buck also failed to end it. The fans got behind ACH and he tried pumping up. More Bang For Your Buck again and Rush had to break up the pin. More Bang For Your Buck number three and a kick out by ACH. The Bucks looked like they were starting to get frustrated. The Jacksons worked over ACH some more and went for the combo for a fourth time, getting the pin. The Bucks pranced around, throwing out some ‘Suck Its!’, celebrating their victory but the crowd grew quiet and they turned to see something they did not want to see. Kevin Sullivan and crew had returned and were approaching the ring. The Bucks bailed as the trio took the ring. There was a pregnant pause as they surveyed the situation, then BJ Whitmer started stomping ACH. Lio tried coming to the aid of his partner but Damien Martinez leveled him with a clothesline. Whitmer pulled out the Golden Spike and brought it done on ACH’s head, rendering him senseless. Sullivan chased off the personnel at the timekeeper’s table and re-positioned it. Everyone knew what was coming next. Whitmer held Rush in the corner as Martinez slammed ACH through the table with South of Heaven. The three gathered as the dust settled and Rush checked on ACH. Sullivan paused over Lio, who sought to protect his broken friend, gave him a wicked smile, then the three departed. Medical crew came out to attend to ACH as Kevin Kelly was beside himself. “What is going on here?! Why are they doing this?! ”

Looks like the mastermind behind Punishment has been revealed... And this unholy trio is already causing mass mayhem... House of Truth has been demolished and ACH received a serious beating... What's next on Sullivan's agenda? It looks like he has very specific targets in mind because the Bucks and Lio Rush were permitted to escape relatively unscathed...
This is a captivating angle and I'm eager to watch this darkness spread... Awesome work!

Pariah - Kevin Sullivan does appear to be targeting specific individuals. Who and why? We will have to see as we move forward. Thanks, as always, for your avid speculation.
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 15 Dalton Castle def. Adam Page by pin The opening match of the night was a scrappy encounter with some frenzied give and take. Castle came on strong late in the contest and pinned Page with a Deadlift German Suplex. A pre-taped segment was aired featuring Veda Scott intending to hype Border Wars. Before she could get too far into the piece, she was interrupted by the ROH World Champion. “Adam Cole, what are you doing?” Veda spouted. “We’re taping here. Get out of the shot”Veda looked off camera to the production crew. “Okay, let’s take it again from the top.”As she adjusted her clothes and prepared for another take, she noticed Cole still standing there, smiling. “What? What is it you want, Adam?”“Don’t think I didn’t notice what you did out there a couple of weeks ago, Veda Scott.”“What are you talking about?” “I had to defend my title and you gave me one of my biggest challenges to date. But that’s okay. That’s just how I like it.”“Again. What are you talking about?”“Come on. I mean, Ray Rowe? They don’t come any tougher,” Cole said with underlying sarcasm. “So, I see what you’re doing. And I think we both know where this is going.”Veda held her hands out, wanting Adam to get to the point. Cole nodded. “You take care of me and… well…” He looked her up and down. “I take care of you.”Veda impatiently glared at him for a moment longer. Then her head twitched with recognition. “Uh,” she stammered, clearly flustered and maybe blushing a little. “Um, excuse me,” she said to the crew and walked off camera. Cole watched her leave, wearing a sly grin. Chris Sabin vs. Bobby Fish draw Sabin got the quick advantage and tried for a pin attempt with the Cradle Shock. Fish rebounded, giving Sabin a series of suplexes and repeated leg strikes. Chris, in turn, flipped the momentum with a German Suplex. The rapid fire exchange continued in this fashion with Fish getting a solid stretch of offense, using the Fish Hook Deluxe Edition, looking for the submission. Sabin had a streak that Bobby halted on the floor with a whip into the post. The match ended up going to a rare television time limit draw. Both men have a rocky relationship with the fans but got a big ovation for the effort put into this match. ROH Update“Welcome to your Ring of Honor update for this week. I’m your host, Ian Riccaboni. Border Wars is seven days away and in addition to the huge main event between ROH World Champion Adam Cole and “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega, we have more announcements for the big event in Toronto. Lio Rush defends the ROH World Television Championship against Jay Lethal. Damien Martinez faces Dalton Castle. Chris Sabin squares off against Matt Taven. And a tag team gauntlet match with the winners getting a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship on an upcoming episode of Ring of Honor Television. I tell you fans, you’re not going to want to miss this one. So join us on rohwrestling.com for the internet pay-per-view of Border Wars!”The Addiction def. Roppongi Vice by pin The crowd expected a good natured contest between these two entertaining teams. Christopher Daniels looked sharp against Beretta in the opening minutes, getting a two count with the Best Moonsault Ever. Kazarian spelled his partner and lit up Beretta with Kazarian Kicks for a near fall. Beretta continued on the defensive until he got a surprise rollup after a corner charge and went for the pin with his feet on the ropes. Kaz escaped and pointed an accusatory finger at his opponent. Beretta feigned innocence and Rocky Romero tagged himself in. Kaz slowed the pace by taking Rocky to the mat. Daniels tagged back in and gave Romero Last Rites then a reverse STO for a near fall. Kaz rotated in and worked on Rocky some more. Later on, Daniels hit Romero with Angels Wings, bringing Beretta in for the save. RPG tried a short-lived comeback but it was The Addiction with a Slingshot Elbow combo that saw Kazarian pin Beretta. The Addiction looked very impressive against an RPG Vice team that came into the night with some championship momentum. With the win, Kaz and Daniels would enter last during the tag team gauntlet at Border Wars.

Big win for the Addiction... Putting themselves in a nice spot for the upcoming tag team gauntlet at Border Wars... And I throughly enjoyed the exciting encounter between Fish and Sabin... Great to see the fans appreciating their effort...
Not sure what kind of games are being played between Veda Scott and Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!), but Cole better be careful... Perhaps he should have a little conversation with Stokely Hathaway before he takes this any further...
Fun stuff, as always!

TTX - The Chris Sabin/Bobby Fish match was really good. It just wouldn't end, so I had to call it. Pariah - As Adam Cole will tell you, he's no Stokely Hathaway. He has all of the confidence in the world (*ahem* hubris) in however he chooses to go about his dealings with Veda Scott. bookerbill - The only thing worse than too much flash is center-justified text. To be honest, I won't read a fed presented that way. I enjoy watching and presenting the annual ROH shows north of the border as the crowd in the Ted Reeve Arena is always hot. This show is no different. Thanks for reading and commenting, gentlemen. Now for the action! BORDER WARS 2017 May 27, 2017 Tornoto, ON Will Ferrara def. BJ Whitmer w/Kevin Sullivan by DQ Newcomer Will Ferrara, out of the Ring of Honor Dojo, had the unenviable task of being BJ Whitmer’s first opponent as BJ made his return to in-ring action, now guided by Kevin Sullivan. Whitmer mauled Ferrara, refusing to pin him on multiple occasions. Sullivan interfered more than once and, in a shocking display, blatantly threw a Fireball in Ferrara’s face, drawing a disqualification for his man. However, shocking the crowd seemed to be the priority rather than putting one in the win column. The fireball spot had Steve Corino excited on commentary. “Did you see that?! A fireball!! We’re talking The Sheik, Eddie Gilbert, Jerry Lawler. You know how much I love old school, Kevin Kelly.”“I can’t believe you would condone this, Steve,” Kelly replied. “Then again, maybe I could…” Matt Taven def. Chris Sabin by pin Taven was dominant in this surprisingly one-sided contest. Sabin did get some offense in and did not go down easy. Taven finally put him away with a Climax. Dalton Castle def. Damien Martinez w/Kevin Sullivan by DQ The crowd was anxious as one of their favorites, Castle, was stepping into the ring with Martinez, a man who has been leaving broken bodies in his wake. No one was sure who may be a target of Kevin Sullivan and his Punishment faction, so there was worry for Dalton’s well being. The Boys were fearful of Sullivan’s evil presence at ringside. As Sullivan walked by the announce position, Steve Corino tried getting his attention. Kevin Kelly discouraged it but Sullivan took a moment to sit with them on commentary. “Great fireball earlier, Mr. Sullivan,” Corino gushed. No reply. “So, Kevin, tell me,” Corino inquired with a hint of glee. “Are we going to see Dalton Castle get slammed through a table tonight?”Sullivan ignored the question as he followed the action in the ring. “The Taskmaster, ladies and gentlemen,” Steve continued. “Hey, I just realized, I’m sitting here with two Kevins.”Sullivan turned and gazed intensely at Corino after his attempt at levity. “I know what’s in your soul, Steve Corino,” Sullivan stated. “When I look into your eyes, I see green.”Sullivan got up, leaving Corino a little tongue tied. “Well, okay, then…”“Now you went and did it, Steve,” Kevin Kelly interjected. “You just had bring yourself to his attention. And I have to sit next to you!” “I’m sorry! Should I be worried…?”Castle kept Martinez at bay with his deceptive strength and amatuer wrestling skills, including a near fall with a Deadlift German Suplex. Whenever he was in trouble, Martinez would leave the ring to confer with Sullivan. Foolheartedly, Dalton took the bait and engaged with the demonic Martinez in fisticuffs outside of the ring. Damien brutally pummelled Castle while Sullivan went after The Boys, jabbing his taped thumb into one of their throats. Things were out of control and the ref disqualified Martinez but, once again, winning may not have been Punishment’s objective. “This feels like Championship Wrestling from Florida circa 1985,” Corino enthusiastically expounded. “We have ‘The Prince of Darkness’ Kevin Sullivan, BJ Whitmer as the veteran Bob Roop aka Maha Singh, and Damien Martinez as the monster Purple Haze. This is great!”“This is not what Ring of Honor is about,” Kevin Kelly chided. #1 Contender Tag Team GauntletAll Night Express def. War Machine by pin This was a rough and tumble contest that saw Rhett Titus pin Raymond Rowe after ANX hit the One Night Stand. All Night Express def. The Young Bucks by pin ANX kept their momentum going as they isolated Nick Jackson and Titus pinned him after a One Night Stand. Roppongi Vice def. All Night Express by pin Beretta and Rocky Romero were up next and this round was far more competitive. RPG cut the ring in half against Titus. ANX turned the tables and double-teamed Romero for a stretch. Beretta got back into the action and cleaned house pinning Titus after RPG connected with Strong Zero. Roppongi Vice def. The Addiction by pin RPG wanted to make up for their poor performance against The Addiction on last week’s episode of Ring of Honor Television and attacked Christopher Daniels and Kazarian as they tried to enter the ring. Beretta took it to Kazarian as Rocky dealt with Daniels at ringside. Romero tagged in and RPG finished Kaz with Strong Zero. Daniels petitioned the referee for allowing his team to be blitzed like they were but it would be Roppongi Vice getting a title shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship on an upcoming television episode. Veda Scott joined the commentary team for the remainder of the show. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPJay Lethal def. Lio Rush(c) by pin Lethal came out aggressively, manhandling the smaller champion and going for the early submission with a Koji Clutch. Lethal was vicious and must have gone for a Lethal Combination seven or eight times. Rush looked completely outclassed and was put away with a Lethal Injection. “Hmm,” Veda pondered. “Ring of Honor had big plans for Lio Rush. I guess things have changed.”“Now every member of Affluence has gold around their waist,” added Kevin Kelly. “And could the six-man titles be next?” asked Steve Corino. “Speaking of which, those titles are on the line next,” concluded Kelly. ROH WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPTwo Fisted (Adam Page, Silas Young & Joey Daddiego) def. Briscoe Burgers (Jay & Mark Briscoe and Cheeseburger) by pin Jay Briscoe and Silas Young were in each other’s faces before the bell but it was Page and Cheeseburger that started this one out. The “Hangman” almost pinned Burger early with a cross body from the top rope. Young tagged in and jawed in the direction of Jay before going for the Pee Gee Waja Plunge, pinning Cheeseburger. Once again, Two Fisted exploited the weak link of Briscoe Burgers and walked away with the easy win. Young made sure to let Jay know how ‘pathetic’ he and his team were. The main event entrances took place next. The Canadian crowd loudly welcomed their native favorite, “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega. ROH World Champion Adam Cole came out, showing contempt for the Omega supporters. Before introductions could be made, Veda Scott stood up and got into the ring. She said there has been a change to this match and that it would no longer be for the ROH World Championship. The crowd went crazy and Cole leaned back against the turnbuckles with a smirk on his face. Veda explained that since Omega was not an ROH contracted performer, the contract he signed was not valid, as it was worded in language intended for wrestlers signed with ROH. Omega tilted his head, eyeing Veda. The crowd was getting increasingly restless. Veda continued, letting the crowd know, in a very patronizing manner, that the advertised main event would still go on, so at least they had that. Water bottles and debris started flying into the ring and Veda hopped around to evade the barrage. Cole, clearly amused, just ducked down to avoid being pelted. Omega stepped forward, seemingly to shield Veda. The hurled objects ceased and Kenny asked Veda for the mic. In his calm, aloof manner he pacified the crowd by saying, after he beats Cole tonight, there will be no mistakes when the contract for the rematch is signed. Cole sneered and the ring was cleared for the match. Kenny Omega def. Adam Cole by pin As they went to lock up, Cole sidestepped and faced the camera, throwing his hands up for an ‘Adam Cole Bay Bay’ but Omega gave him a back rake before he could get it out. Cole cringed and Omega made a wild-eyed pose of his own, bringing a cheer from the crowd. Kenny connected with some strikes before going crazy with a Tokyo Chainsaw Massacre. The crowd was hyped. Cole made a momentary comeback but Omega was on fire. Kenny drove Cole into the mat with an Oklahoma Stampede and the ref counted three. The crowd was on its feet as Omega’s hand was raised with a decisive win over the ROH World Champion. Current Rankings:
ROH World Champion - Adam Cole
- Kenny Omega
- Matt Taven
- Jay Lethal
- Chris Sabin
- Lio Rush
- Raymond Rowe
- Christopher Daniels
- Damien Martinez
- Dalton Castle
- Hanson

Oh, snap... Mixed emotions for the members of Affluence, I'm sure... Lethal looked seriously impressive, taking the fight right to Rush and capturing the ROH TV title... But, the main event did not go quite so well for the group... Even though he's still the ROH World champion, Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) must have a sour taste in his mouth after that loss to the Cleaner... Lucky for him, Veda Scott was vigilant and prevented Omega from getting an undeserved title shot...
RPG Vice fought hard in the gauntlet and their efforts will be rewarded... And it looks like Kevin Sullivan is really stirring things up... How does Steve Corino figure into his master plan? Looking forward to watching this story develop further...
Excellent show from the Great White North!
