Another sweet victory for Affluence to close out the show... And now ANX knows - their title reign is just a fluke and it's only a matter of time before the former tag champs reclaim the gold... Matt Taven and Adam Cole BAY-BAY!
Really looking forward to the next installment of Punishment - Dark Retribution... You might think an interview with Sullivan would lead to a few answers... But, his enigmatic personality could wind up raising more questions...
Awesome stuff!

The backstory involving Punishment is really intriguing. I like the possibility that they could be connected to Affluence. In the ring, however, they are stinking it up the last two episodes. BJ Whitmer, on the verge of a big match with Bobby Fish, taps out to Dalton Castle. Not a good look for Whitmer going into a huge match at DBD XV. Will Ferrara also being a thorn in their sides is crazy. It looks like Punishment will have to regroup quickly. I don't imagine Kevin Sullivan is too happy with the recent losses. Aside from that another top notch edition of ROH TV!

TTX , Pariah , cruefan68 - Thanks for the comments, guys! The Dalton Castle win definitely put a kink in my build to BJ Whitmer's showdown with Bobby Fish. But I am enjoying the development of Will Ferrara being the scrappy pest. But that will only fly for so long. Those damn dice will undermine your best laid plans every time. That's why going into this Punishment storyline, I've made sure that they can get most of their heat in an 'extracurricular' manner. This next episode is packed, with the centerpiece being the Kevin Sullivan interview. Things are starting to come together. Read on!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2017 Season Episode 24 Bobby Fish def. QT Marshall by submission Fish didn’t seem to have his head in the game and he had some trouble with Marshall. QT used God’s Gift twice but Bobby kicked out at one both times. Fish got fired up and beat the stuffing out of Marshall at ringside before finishing him with the Fish Hook Deluxe Edition. Fish removed his mouthpiece, leaned through the ropes and spoke into the camera. “BJ Whitmer, I took it easy on this guy but come Death Before Dishonor, I’m gonna tear you apart!” Bobby gave his signature throat slash gesture to emphasize his point. Pre-taped Promo: The Young BucksMatt Jackson - “Hey, All Night Express, this is your official invitation to the Superkick Party we’re holding in Las Vegas at Death Before Dishonor.”Nick Jackson - “That’s right, ANX. Familiarize yourselves with the term ’transitional champions’.”Matt - “Ha, ha! ‘Too Sweet’ me!”Nick - “Don’t forget to RSVP, boys.”Jay & Mark Briscoe def. Pretty Boy Killers by DQ For the third straight time, PBK lost without Keith Lee seeing action. The Briscoes worked over Shane Taylor who, seeing his partners disappointment, was disqualified for angrily pulling apart the barricade and tossing it at the boys from Sandy Fork. ROH UpdateSpecial Report: PUNISHMENT - Dark Retribution"Hello, everyone. Ian Riccaboni here. This week we bring you the first part of my interview with the leader of Punishment, The Taskmaster, Kevin Sullivan. Frankly, I was surprised when Mr. Sullivan not only responded to my request for an interview but he granted it to me as well. I was not sure what to expect when I sat down with him. Sullivan was amiable and easy going. But there were moments during the interview, as you will see, where a sinister tone crept in. I asked questions and, though he was cryptic at times, we did get some answers. And as things came more into focus, the picture was perhaps more frightening than we suspected.”
“Welcome, Mr. Sullivan. Thank you for joining me today.” “It’a a pleasure, Ian. I’ve enjoyed your work.”
“I have to get right to it - Punishment. Your name implies that you are punishing Ring of Honor…”
“We’re not punishing Ring of Honor, Ian. People have asked me what I have against Ring of Honor. The answer is simple: nothing. I praise Ring of Honor and everything they are trying to accomplish. From the office to the boys in the back, you have my utmost respect.”
“Mr. Sullivan, I can’t help but wonder, as many of our viewers probably have as well, why Ring of Honor hasn’t stepped in to deal with the destruction you are causing.”
“Well, I can’t really comment on that but a smart person might speculate that someone powerful high up in Ring of Honor agrees with what we are doing. Someone who shares my vision perhaps. So, Ian, you have to ask yourself: Is this a line of questioning you should continue?”
“If, for some reason, Ring of Honor officials are doing nothing to halt your attacks, someone in the locker room will stop the three of you.”
“Three? Three, Ian? What makes you think there are only three of us? Ha, ha, ha, ha. There are more of us, Ian Riccaboni. Waiting out there on the edge of the night, just out of reach of the light. Or maybe… just maybe… they’re right under your nose. And have been this entire time. Ha, ha, ha, ha, hah.”
"Well, fans, that’s the end of the first part of the interview. As you can see, Kevin Sullivan had some chilling revelations. And there are more to come. Be sure to tune in again next week.”
Ring of Honor presents Death Before Dishonor XV live on pay-per-view from Las Vegas ROH World Championship - Adam Cole vs. Christopher Daniels ROH World Tag Team Championship - ANX vs. The Young Bucks ROH World Television Championship - Jay Lethal vs. Dalton Castle Fight Without Honor - Bobby Fish vs. BJ Whitmer Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Adam Page & Joey Daddiego Silas Young vs. Kazarian War Machine vs. Pretty Boy Killers Four Corner Survival - Matt Taven vs. Chris Sabin vs. Will Ferrara vs. Cheeseburger Lio Rush def. Chris Sabin by pin The number one contender to the ROH World Championship, Christopher Daniels, joined Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino for commentary to discuss his title match with Adam Cole next week at Death Before Dishonor. “Daniels,” queried Corino. “You don’t really think you can defeat Adam Cole for the world title do you?”“Steve, how long have you known me?” Daniels replied. “Has there ever been a time that I was not ultimately confident in my abilities? Adam Cole took Affluence from me, so now I’m going to take the ROH Championship from him.”The contest between Chris Sabin and Lio Rush was fought at a frenetic pace and Rush was really able to shine. After scoring a few near falls, Lio pulled off his biggest win in ROH thus far, pinning Sabin after a Dragon’s Call. Christopher Daniels commented that Rush was the future of ROH. As Daniels was speaking, Steve Corino noticed the crowd reacting and turned with a start, seeing Punishment coming down the aisle. Steve nudged Daniels “Chris, Chris…” Daniels saw the approach of Kevin Sullivan’s crew and reacted, getting into the ring where he had more options to defend himself. Sullivan, with Damien Martinez and BJ Whitmer, stopped and looked at the men in the ring, a wicked smile on his face. He motioned for his men to climb between the ropes. Daniels raised his fists, looking to make a stand. Rush looked uncertain but willing to back Daniels up. Sabin, on the other hand, bailed out on the other side of the ring and hopped the barricade to stand in the front row to see what was going to happen. Martinez stared down Daniels as Whitmer clutched the Golden Spike in his fist. “I think Adam Cole’s Fallen Angel problem is about to go away!” exclaimed Corino. Martinez made his move, dropping Daniels with a kick to the face. Meanwhile, BJ pounced on Rush, delivering shots with the Golden Spike and stomping him senseless. With both men down, Damien and BJ looked to The Taskmaster who was setting up a table at ringside; the precursor to the doom to come at the hands of Martinez. With a nod, Sullivan indicated that it was time. Martinez, with a single hand, pulled Daniels up by the throat. Then, unexpectedly, he tossed Daniels over the top rope and to the floor. Whitmer pulled Rush to his feet and fed him to Martinez, who grasped him by the throat. Moving out to the apron, Martinez slammed Rush through the table with South of Heaven. Sullivan laughed in the wake of the devastation, as Lio’s pulverized form lay in the ruins of the splintered table. Punishment headed back up the aisle as Daniels recovered with a look of bewilderment, unsure of how he had avoided what he thought was to be his fate. He then noticed ROH officials attending to Rush and moved to help but realized he was too late.

Not gonna say too much here because I don't want to spoil anything with my personal thoughts... But, Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!) better be careful heading into his big title match against the Fallen Angel at Death Before Dishonor... Because sometimes things are a bit sketchier than they seem...
Awesome show!

First off Death Before Dishonor XV looks incredible. A certain "angel' may just prove to be truly "fallen" when he faces Adam Cole for the ROH World championship in Las Vegas. I'm getting real bad vibes from that one like our good friend Pariah. That Kevin Sullivan interview was truly chilling on the show and I can't wait to see what is coming next. I loved the main event with Lio Rush getting the big win over Chris Sabin and that post-match action was truly incredible.

Pariah , cruefan68 , TTX - Aaand we're back. Hmm... So, there seems to be an interesting vibe around Adam Cole's title defense against Christopher Daniels. I think I smell what you're cooking and I like it. But is that what's going to be served at Death Before Dishonor? You're about to find out. Thanks for reading and commenting! Death Before Dishonor XV August 26, 2017 Las Vegas, NV FOUR CORNER SURVIVALMatt Taven def. Chris Sabin, Will Ferrara, and CheesburgerFour way action started off the night. Taven and Sabin both refused to start the match in the ring, leaving ROH Dojo students Ferrara and Cheeseburger to get the ball rolling. Ferrara almost stole this one out from under their noses too, as he hit Burger with the Headshot for a long two count. Sabin tagged himself in off of Ferrara and gave Cheeseburger Hail Sabin for a near fall. Taven tagged himself in for a turn at Cheeseburger and got the job done, finishing him with a Climax. War Machine def. Pretty Boy Killers by pin It looked like it was going to be another underwhelming performance by PBK as Shane Taylor was tossed around the ring by Raymond Rowe and Hanson. Breaking the trend of not seeing action, Keith Lee was tagged in and was able to show what he is capable of. However, War Machine eventually started to wear Lee down and Rowe pinned him with a big man cross body from the top rope. Taylor was too slow to make the save and heard about it after the match when Keith threw his arms up, exclaiming “Come on, man!” Silas Young def. Kazarian by pin Veda Scott joined Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino on commentary and asked what Keith Lee was so upset about. “He should be happy just to be in Ring of Honor.”Young rolled over Kazarian in this one sided match, pinning him after a Pee Gee Waja Plunge. Two Fisted (Adam Page & Joey Daddiego) def. Jay & Mark Briscoe by DQ Dem Boys lit into Joey Daddiego early in the match and it didn’t look like this one would go long. To his credit, Daddiego weathered the onslaught and was able to tag in Adam Page. The Hangman made a showing but he too got a beating Sandy Fork style. Page shocked everyone by kicking out after the Doomsday Device. Daddiego came back in and used Jay as a punching bag. The two ended up on the floor where Jay was disqualified for pushing the bounds of the rules. It was an unpopular decision with the crowd and the Briscoes but Two Fisted took what they could get. FIGHT WITHOUT HONORBJ Whitmer def. Bobby Fish by pin The animosity Fish has for Whitmer and Punishment led to this non-sanctioned match where the rules are thrown out the window. Bobby, likely remembering being left in a pool of his own blood at the hands of Whitmer and his Golden Spike, attacked BJ as soon as he hit the ring. Whitmer was not caught off guard and quickly turned the tables on Fish, leveling him with a lariat. BJ took the fight to the floor. Will Ferrara, the thorn in Punishment’s side, came down to the ring and taunted Whitmer, hoping to distract him from his assault on Fish. Whitmer’s teammate, Damien Martinez, came out and dragged Ferrara to the back. Whitmer bashed Bobby into the post and the ringside barricades more than once before launching a chair into his face. BJ rolls Fish back into the ring for an unsuccessful pin attempt. With the kickout, Fish started his comeback. Bobby searched under the ring for a weapon but Whitmer recovered and beat him to the punch, smashing a chair over his head. Crimson began to stream down Fish’s face. Whitmer continued to give Fish a merciless beating inside the ring and out. Bobby dug deep for another comeback, using devastating kicks. Bobby tried the Fish Hook Deluxe Edition looking for the submission but Whitmer broke free after struggling long minutes in the hold. BJ suddenly seized the advantage back and put Fish away with a couple of Wrist Clutch Exploders. Damien Martinez returned to the ring and he and Whitmer stomped Fish until they grew tired of it. As the Punishment duo walked back up the aisle, a bloody Fish was given a mic and made the proclamation as he lay on the mat, that this wasn’t over yet. The sinister pair turned around and Whitmer just laughed, while Martinez stared, rolling his eyes back in his head. ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPJay Lethal(c) vs. Dalton Castle double disqualification An early misstep saw Castle almost finished with a Lethal Injection in the opening minutes. Dalton kicked out with authority and soon was going for a pin of his own with a Deadlift German Suplex on Lethal. Castle wore down Jay with a bearhug and a body scissors. During a lull in the action, Kevin Kelly asked Veda Scott about her remaining mostly silent during the last match involving Punishment. Veda said she didn’t know what he was talking about. “Veda, our friend Ian Riccaboni brought up a very good point and I have to ask,” pressed Kelly. “Do you know anything about what happened to Stokely Hathaway?”Veda, not missing a beat, replied “Kevin Kelly, you and Ian Riccaboni should both reconsider making allegations about a fellow Ring of Honor employee. And any comments about Mr. Hathaway and our… dispute… will have to be referred to my lawyer.”Steve Corino broke the tension slightly. “Well… Wouldn’t that be you? I mean, since you're a lawyer?”“That’s not how it works, Steve,” Veda chided jokingly, taking the opportunity to evade Kevin's question. Lethal bounced back and controlled the match down the stretch. The combatants wound up on the floor slugging it out. Having lost control of the match, the ref disqualified both of them. It was clear that the fans wanted more but that would have to wait for what is sure to be the inevitable rematch. ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP All Night Express(c) def. The Young Bucks by pin Despite a great deal of success in Japan, the Young Bucks’ prosperity overseas has not carried over to ROH in recent years. The vibe was that this could be the Bucks night and they brought their A-game. Matt and Nick Jackson isolated Rhett Titus for a long stretch. The Bucks cockiness may have been their undoing as they started playing to the crowd too much, allowing Titus being to get to his corner to tag in Kenny King. From that point it was all ANX as they first worked on Matt, then Nick, who came in for an unsuccessful comeback. It was Nick who eventually fell to the One Night Stand with King making the pin. The teams shook hands afterward as the fans struck up a loud "That was awesome!” chant. ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPChristopher Daniels def. Adam Cole(c) by DQ Ring announcer Bobby Cruise was instructed by Veda Scott to inform everyone that this would be the last match Christopher Daniels or Kazarian would have with any member of Affluence. “The Fallen Angel” did a slight double take but kept his focus. Cole smirked as he leaned in the corner and gave Veda a little wink. “What are you up to now, Veda Scott?” Kevin Kelly queried. Cole tried seizing the advantage with an arm drag but was blocked by Daniels who responded with an enzuigiri that saw the ROH Champion bail out to the floor to regroup. When Cole re-entered the ring, Daniels struck with Angel’s Wings. The crowd was shocked at the impending three count but Cole got his shoulder up at the very last moment. Cole was out of it and Daniels deliberately put him in position for Angel’s Wings once again. Cole’s Affluence ally Matt Taven rushed the ring and attacked Daniels, driving him face first into the mat with a Climax. The ref called for the bell, disqualifying Cole. Taven helped Cole back up the aisle. As Daniels recovered and realized what had transpired, he was in utter disbelief that it went down like this. “This was an screwjob!” Kevin Kelly protested. “And because of Veda Scott, Christopher Daniels now has no recourse! A complete miscarriage of justice!”When they reached the curtain, Affluence turned around to take a last glimpse of their outmaneuvered foe. Cole clutched the ROH World Championship and laughed as the broadcast came to a close. Current Rankings:
ROH World Champion - Adam Cole
- Christopher Daniels
- Jay Lethal
- Dalton Castle
- Matt Taven
- Mark Briscoe
- Lio Rush
- Chris Sabin
- Jay Briscoe
- Will Ferrara
- Damien Martinez

Talk about a smokescreen! While everyone is busy trying to figure out the Punishment mystery, Veda Scott sneaks a 'no rematch' clause into the Cole vs Daniels encounter... AFFLUENCE BAY-BAY! Love it!

That was a slick move by Veda Scott to benefit Adam Cole (Bay-Bay!). The "Fallen Angel" may have to seek other influences to help him get back into the ROH World Heavyweight title picture. Affluence continues to be one step ahead of the opposition. Bobby Fish vs. BJ Whitmer in the Fight Without Honor was killer and a big win for Whitmer. The Punishment really made his presence known there. I was surprised that the Young Bucks came up short but you have to hand it to the All Night Express for coming through and retaining the tag titles. Overall I felt that DBD XV was a great show.
