Big win by Page. Shame Kaz lost to King.

So happy that Taven continues to be a regular at the ringside commentary table... A spectacular asset for any broadcast... 'Old Man' Kaz is gonna be in for a rude awakening at the anniversary show... Good times!

Just catching up on the action. As always the action is dramatic and unpredictable. Lethal is on a roll and may be hard to stop heading into the tournament. I am not sold that switchblade will be able hang with Omega and company.
QT Marshall has been getting some luck. Upsets like that are always a fun way of shaking things up

Justin Case , TTX , Pariah , bookerbill - Thanks for the comments, guys! Only one more episode before the big 16th Anniversary show and the start of the Field of Honor tournament. But first, let's check in on the tag team picture... Posted on Ring of Honor Wrestling's Facebook page: (Ian Riccaboni catches up with Kelly Klein after the last episode of ROH Television) Ian - “Kelly. Kelly Klein. Can I ask you about the condition of Rhett Titus? And what does it mean for your tag team title defense at 16th Anniversary?”Kelly - “I don’t know. They took him to the hospital. He better suck it up. I didn’t just get this tag team belt just to lose it on our first defense. I’ve done all the work and he goes and gets hurt. I think…”(Chris Sabin comes in from off camera and interrupts) Chris - “Excuse me. Kelly? Can I have a word with you?”Kelly - “What do you want, you little creep?”Chris - “Look. I want to apologize to you. And to Rhett when I see him. I didn’t know the Bucks were going to go that far. I didn’t want to see anyone get hurt. And if you need someone to stand in for Rhett at 16th Anniversary, I’ll do it.”
Kelly - “Right. Like that’s going to happen.”Chris - “Look, I know you have no reason to trust me but just think about it.”(Sabin walks away with Kelly shaking her head)

Some mighty fine moves being used by Sabin in an attempt to weasel his way into one of those tag title belts... Wondering if Kelly Klein will take him up on his offer... And more importantly, how will Titus react when he returns?

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 9 Chris Sabin def. Shane Taylor by pin Ian Riccaboni pointed out that Matt Taven was not on commentary tonight but would be in the main event later in this episode. Sabin uncharacteristically played for crowd support during this match and managed to get some. Taylor had no answer for Sabin. Any attempt at offense by Shane was easily evaded by his opponent. Chris, in an impressive show of strength, got Taylor up for Hail Sabin and finished with the pin. After the match, Taylor could not hide his dejection, having lost to another much smaller man. Field of Honor QualifierChristopher Daniels def. Beer City Bruiser by pin As one of the consistently highest ranked competitors in ROH, Daniels was already qualified for the Field of Honor tournament but if Bruiser could beat one of the top guys, he would prove himself worthy of a spot as well. At the Code of Honor, Bruiser spit a mouthful of beer in Daniels face hoping to seize the advantage. However, “The Fallen Angel” dodged a crossbody by the big man, leaving his effort for naught. Daniels gave Bruiser Last Rites and shortly after caught him with a surprise cradle off the ropes for the easy win. Field of Honor standings Qualifying is done and the groups are as follows: GROUP AJay Lethal Jay White Adam Page Dalton Castle GROUP BChristopher Daniels Joey Daddiego Kenny King Silas Young In one week Ring of Honor's 16th Anniversary show from Las Vegas premieres live on pay-per-view! Kenny Omega and Roppongi Vice vs Chris Sabin & The Young Bucks for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Christopher Daniels vs Kenny King in a Field of Honor Group A contest Jay Lethal vs Silas Young for the ROH World Television Championship Rhett Titus(?) & Kelly Klein vs The Briscoe Brothers for the the ROH World Tag Team Championship Matt Taven vs Kazarian Jay White vs Will Ferrara Joey Daddiego vs Dalton Castle Adam Page vs Cheeseburger vs Shane Taylor vs Beer City Bruiser in Four Corner Survival Jay & Mark Briscoe def. Matt Taven & Beretta by pin Matt Taven teamed with Beretta of Roppongi Vice and Infernal Affairs notoriety. Both were members of successful tag teams and were expected to give the Briscoes some competition. The duo had a good pre-match vibe going but it did not carry over during the action in the ring. Taven started out well against Mark but it was the Briscoes dominating Beretta, destroying him with the Doomsday Device. Taven was unimpressed with his impromptu partner and left him laying, waving him off as he exited the ring area.

Well, what can I say? Disappointed that Taven didn't appear on commentary AND wound up on the losing end of a rather one-sided main event... At least he wasn't too blame for taking the fall, leaving me to wonder if anyone on the roster deserves to share the same ring as this dynamic performer...
The Field of Honor is looking stacked and some might say the smart money is on either Lethal or Daniels to become the next champion... But, something tells me there's a certain Switchblade ready to cut through the competition and surprise everyone by claiming the gold...
Very exciting!

Briscoes pick up a nice win. Also good to see Daniels grab a victory.
