Justin Case , TTX , Pariah , cruefan68 - As you all have noted, Jay Lethal keeps his momentum going which I am happy about. But with Austin Aries unexpectedly stepping into his path, could this be a bump in the road or a momentum killer? Lethal has something to say about it here and then a new television episode is soon to follow. Thanks for tuning in guys! Posted on Ring of Honor Wrestling's Facebook page: Jay Lethal: “Austin Aries, who in the hell do you think you are? First you show up at the 16th Anniversary show and try to take my spotlight, then last week you stick your nose in during my Field of Honor match. I’m telling you right now, Aries, every time you decide you’re going to ride my coattails trying to revive your career, is one more year of it I’m going to beat out of you. Keep it up and I’ll be retiring you at Supercard of Honor!”

Still hoping to see Daniels claim the vacant title, but a program between Aries and Lethal would be great too! Truth!

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 11 Ian Riccaboi opened with a preview of Field of Honor and the show’s main event. He then turned to co host Matt Taven. “How are you doing this week, Mr. Taven?”“I’m fine. Everything’s fine,” Matt replied gruffly. “Let’s just get this thing started, ok?"“Very well. Let’s go to the ring.”Chris Sabin def. Will Ferrara by pin This one sided contest was easily won by Sabin with a sit-out powerbomb. When Damien Martinez’s intro began for the next match, Matt Taven spun in his chair and jumped up when Martinez came out. With some commotion, Matt tore off his headset and made a panicked exit as he clambered over the guardrail behind him and disappeared into the crowd. Ian Riccaboni was dumbfounded by Taven’s actions: “What in the world...?”Damien Martinez def. Beer City Bruiser by DQ Martinez was returning from a suspension for his actions involving the departed Punishment faction. Bruiser must have been familiar with Damien’s reputation and attacked with haymakers, Tap the Keg, then Roll Out the Barrel when Martinez looked for a breather on the floor. Despite the impressive start, Bruiser spent the rest of the match getting tossed all around the ring by Martinez. Bruiser took quite a beating which culminated with Damien wowing the crowd with a Leap of Darkness. With no other resort, Bruiser grabbed a chair and smacked Martinez with it. Bruiser was disqualified but kept hold of the chair to defend himself as he retreated. Martinez just grinned, giving the indication that he enjoyed the pain, be it his or his opponent’s. Field of Honor standings GROUP AJay Lethal (1-0) Jay White (0-0) Adam Page (0-0) Dalton Castle (0-1) GROUP BChristopher Daniels (1-0) Kenny King (0-1) Joey Daddiego (0-0) Silas Young (0-0) Ring of Honor is in New Orleans for Supercard of Honor in two weeks! Field of Honor Group A matchJay White def. Adam Page by pin Two top prospects that many consider the future of wrestling did battle in this Field of Honor tournament match. These young, hungry competitors put on an excellent, aggressive match. White nearly tapped Page with a crossface but was successful with a Kiwi Krusher for the three count. After Page had left the ring, while White was thanking the crowd, Roppongi Vice jumped him. After putting the boots to their target, Rocky Romero and Beretta held him on his knees as “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega came out. After a goofy display on the stage, Kenny swept his way down the ramp with a broom. As Jay struggled in RPG’s grip, Omega swept around them and stopped with mock disgust when he saw White ‘dirtying’ his ring. He wound up a couple of times with the broom but came short of striking Jay each time. White defiantly goaded Kenny to do it. As it looked like Omega was about to oblige, Flip Gordon raced down to the ring and grabbed the broom handle from behind and took it from Omega. “The Cleaner” was appalled by the affront but Flip didn’t care and started swinging with it, clearing the ring. With Infernal Affairs retreating, Flip helped up Jay, who thanked him for the save.

A timely save by Flip Gordon to close out the show... And even though Jay White is currently competing in the Field of Honor to decide a new ROH champion, I'm wondering if he and Gordon might find themselves a third to chase after those six-man belts currently held by the Infernal Affairs trio... Supercard of Honor is shaping up nicely... Really looking forward to Aries vs. Lethal - Should be an exciting encounter... Poor Matt Taven. Punishment Martinez is a menace and management really needs to get involved in order to stop the torment of their most talented performer... Fun times, as always!

Unlike our friend Pariah, I enjoyed "The Punishment" chasing Matt Taven off just by his mere presence. That "melvin" Taven will get his one day Great main event with Jay White beating Hangman Page and it was cool to see Flip Gordon save White from Kenny Omega and company post-match. A White-Gordon alliance could be a strong one.

Unlike our friend Pariah, I enjoyed "The Punishment" chasing Matt Taven off just by his mere presence. That "melvin" Taven will get his one day Your lack of empathy is appalling... Matt Taven is fine, upstanding gentleman that only wants to be left in peace while doing his part to ensure that ROH enjoys a prosperous future... Shame on you and the malignant blemish on the face of wrestling, Punishment Martinez!

Justin Case , Pariah , TTX , cruefan68 - It seems there are some differing opinions around Matt Taven and Damien Martinez. Let's keep it civil people! This journey is only beginning!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 12 Joey Daddiego def. Cheeseburger by pin At the show open, Ian Riccaboni mentioned that Matt Taven was supposed to be joining him tonight but he had yet to show up. Daddiego put away Cheeseburger with one move: a vicious sidewalk slam that drove him hard into the canvas. As Daddiego’s hand was being raised, a somewhat dishevelled and unkempt Matt Taven anxiously made his way to the announce position. “Taven, you’re late,” Ian stated, good-naturedly. Matt disregarded Ian’s words and breathlessly made a plea to no one in particular. “Where’s Joe Koff? I need to talk to Joe Koff…”“I imagine he’s backstage somewhere but…” However, Ian was cut off as Taven hurried away. Field of Honor Group B MatchKenny King def. Silas Young by pin Having already lost his first Field of Honor match, King was in a must-win situation. Kenny was on fire early, getting a near fall with a Coronation on two occasions. A third Coronation finished this one-sided contest with King remaining alive in the title tournament. Field of Honor standings GROUP AJay Lethal (1-0) Jay White (1-0) Adam Page (0-1) Dalton Castle (0-1) GROUP BChristopher Daniels (1-0) Kenny King (1-1) Joey Daddiego (0-0) Silas Young (0-1) Ring of Honor is in New Orleans for Supercard of Honor in just one week! Kenny King teams with Dalton Castle to take on Silas Young and Adam Page Damien Martinez vs Shane Taylor Christopher Daniels vs Joey Daddiego in a Field of Honor match Chris Sabin vs Kelly Klein Jay Lethal vs Austin Aries Matt Taven vs Beer City Bruiser More announcements next week! Triple Threat Non-TitleJay & Mark Briscoe def. Roppongi Vice and The Young BucksOriginally, it was to be the ROH World Tag Team Champion Briscoes vs. the Bucks in this non-title match but the ring announcer informed everyone that RPG were a last minute addition to this match. Matt and Nick Jackson were not happy about this. The Bucks started out putting Rocky Romero through the wringer until Jay Briscoe tagged himself in off of Matt Jackson. Beretta had Jay in trouble for a bit before Mark tagged in. In the end it was the Briscoes going over with Mark pinning Rocky after a slingshot double foot stomp. As the Briscoes had their hands raised, the Bucks came up and pulled their arms down, claiming that the Briscoes didn’t beat them. There was a face off between the two teams as the show closed.
