Captured(?)
Matt Taven sits slumped in a chair, semi-coherent. As he starts to come to, a figure jumps in from off camera. He is wearing a gruesome mask and yells “Raahhh!!” Startled, Taven teeters back in the chair and crashes to the floor. “Vinny!” shouts a voice from off screen. A tall, bearded man steps into the shot. “What did you do that for?” The other man pulled off his mask. He was manically wide-eyed, tattooed and dread-locked. “I dunno. Thought it would be fun.” Groggily, Taven got up off the floor. “Vinny? TK? What are you guys doing here? What’s going on?” The tall man looked at Taven with a hard expression. “We were going to ask you the same thing.”

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 17 Mark Briscoe def. Shane Taylor by pin Despite being greatly outweighed, Briscoe put on an exhibition of suplexes and throws, easily winning with a killer uranage. Chris Sabin def. Travis Gordon by pin This was a contest of the up and comer taking on the crafty veteran. Flip came out hot but Sabin made a critical reversal. Gordon withstood a full on assault, kicking out of multiple pin attempts. Ultimately, Sabin took it home with a sit-out powerbomb for the win. Field of Honor standings GROUP AJay Lethal (2-0) Jay White (2-1) Dalton Castle (1-2) Adam Page (0-2) GROUP BChristopher Daniels (3-0) Kenny King (2-1) Joey Daddiego (0-2) Silas Young (0-2) Best In The World comes to you live in two weeks on Pay Per View! Austin Aries vs.Kazarian Come back next week for more announcements! ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPField of Honor Group A matchJay Lethal(c) def. Adam Page by DQ It was a foregone conclusion that Lethal had a lock on Group A and would be going to Best In The World to compete for the ROH World Championship. However, ROH officials sought to add stakes to this match and determined that it would be for the television championship. Page, a former TV champion, took advantage of this opportunity, knocking Lethal head over heels with a running lariat as soon as the bell rang. Unfortunately for Adam, he went to the top turnbuckle too soon and was caught with cutter from Lethal as he came off the top. Jay then went to work on Page’s knee, smashing it into the ring post and hitting it with a steel chair. Jay brutalized Page in and out of the ring, to the point that the fans were actually getting behind the established heel known as "The Hangman". Jay even pulled Adam up off the mat after a Lethal Injection. Page found an opening to retaliate and struck Lethal with the TV title belt. Page was disqualified and he along with the crowd protested the iniquity of the call in light of the tactics Lethal had used during the match. ROH officials kept Lethal from going after his opponent post match. As the dust settled, Jay found a camera and sent a message to his opponent at Best In The World: “Christopher Daniels, I’ll be seeing you in Baltimore.”

Kingdom Come
Matt Taven is seated in a dark backroom, flanked by TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia. TK gets pointed with Taven. “When you called us a couple of months ago and said you could get us in the door at Ring of Honor, we were psyched. But then we don’t hear from you after that. We had to track you down and find you looking like...this.”
Taven looked down at himself, wearing dirty clothes and overall unkempt.
“What’s going on with you, man?”
“The Devil… he… he...” Taven stares blankly.
“The Devil? He's talking about Martinez isn't he?” Vinny asks. He then directs the question at Taven. “Is that who's got you freaked out?”
Taven just stares. Vinny gets wide-eyed.
“He’s not scary. I’m scary.”
“Alright. Take it easy,” TK interjects. “If Matt’s got a problem, then it’s our problem, too. Don’t worry. We got your back.”
Taven does not respond. Rather, his haunted gaze continues to look off into space.

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 18 Damien Martinez def. Will Ferrara by pin Ferrara came at Martinez like a whirlwind. His hit and run strategy worked for a bit but ran into a wall once Damien caught him and put him to the mat with South of Heaven. Field of Honor Group B matchJoey Daddiego def. Silas Young by count out While the Field of Honor tournament final was a foregone conclusion, this match did have the added element of having two teammates pitted against each other. Daddiego and Young, of Two Fisted, also were not the type to go down without a fight. Silas took the early advantage and it looked like it might be a short night for Daddiego. However, Joey got on track soon after smashing Young into the steel post. From there it was all Joey. Silas lived up to his moniker of “The Last Real Man In Professional Wrestling”, kicking out of four straight Death Valley Drivers from Daddiego. But after taking such a beating, Silas had little left and ended up getting counted out of the ring after Joey threw him into the guardrails at ringside. After the bell, the fired up Daddiego still wanted to fight and loomed over Young as he tried to pick himself up off the floor. Fellow Two Fisted partner Adam Page came out to get Joey to back off. Daddiego grudgingly relented and stomped off. Field of Honor final standings GROUP AJay Lethal (3-0) Jay White (2-1) Dalton Castle (1-2) Adam Page (0-3) GROUP BChristopher Daniels (3-0) Kenny King (2-1) Joey Daddiego (1-2) Silas Young (0-3) Best In The World is live next week from Baltimore and available on pay-per-view! Jay Lethal faces Christopher Daniels to crown the new ROH World Champion! The Young Bucks defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship Kenny Omega vs Jay White Austin Aries vs Kazarian Roppongi Vice vs "Flip" Gordon & Will Ferrara Dalton Castle vs Damien Martinez The Briscoes & Kenny King vs Adam Page, Silas Young, and Beer City Bruiser The Young Bucks def. The Addiction by pin This non-title match was populated with some wrestlers on strong winning streaks - the ROH World Tag Team Champions, the Young Bucks, and Christopher Daniels, who would be going to Best In The World next week competing to become the next ROH World Champion. Kazarian was even scheduled for a high profile match at the pay-per-view against ROH legend Austin Aries. Daniels opened the match by going after Nick Jackson like a predator. Kaz tagged in and the pair nearly put away Nick with a Sit-Down Powerbomb/Neck Breaker combo. Nick continued to sell like crazy for the Addiction until he was finally able to tag in his brother Matt. The elder Jackson fared about as well, being on the receiving end of a lot of offense. The Bucks’ fortunes took a sudden turn as they caught Kaz with More Bang For Your Buck for a flash pin. After the Addiction departed, the Bucks continued to pose in the ring. This was interrupted as TK O’Ryan slowly strolled down the ramp, stopping halfway and pointing a baseball bat in the Jackson’s direction. Matt and Nick turned their attention to him. Ian Riccaboni identified O’Ryan to the television audience as this was his first appearance in ROH. He also wondered what O’Ryan’s business was with the tag team champions. The situation came into focus as Vinny Marseglia emerged from under the far side of the ring, creeped between the ropes and attacked the unsuspecting brothers from behind. O’Ryan joined in and the pair dished out a serious beating on the Bucks. TK then picked up one of the title belts and hefted it overhead, making their intentions clear.

A new Ring of Honor World Champion will be crowned at Best In The World
Jay Lethal - “Christopher Daniels, it looks like we’re going to do this one more time. But the result is going to be the same - my hand raised at the end of the match. This time as the new Ring of Honor World Champion.”
Christopher Daniels - “Jay Lethal, earlier this year we did battle for the ROH World Television Championship. We traded that belt back and forth and it just so happens that, when it was all said and done, the title was around your waist. But this is a new day and I am more motivated than ever. You see, I’ve got one more thing I need to do before I can call my career complete. I will hold the ROH World Championship. There is no other alternative.”

Best In The World 2018 June 30, 2018 Baltimore, MD Chris Sabin def. Cheeseburger by pin Sabin made short work of Cheeseburger in the opener, finishing him with Cradle Shock. Jay & Mark Briscoe and Kenny King def. Adam Page, Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser by pin This match took an bizarre turn that started with Kenny King quickly pinning Bruiser with a Coronation. The Briscoes congratulated Kenny, happy to not have to put their bodies on the line tonight. Page and Young were less thrilled. They confronted the groggy Bruiser and shoved him down into the corner, irate that he cost them the match. Bruiser was apologetic but Silas slapped him hard upside the head and told him to be a man. Page looked like he wanted to dish out more than a slap but Silas held him back. Young grabbed the 6-pack that Bruiser had brought to the ring, popped one and handed it to Page. He opened one for himself and then began to pour it on Bruiser. Page joined in and threw the empty can in Bruiser’s face. Before the humiliating display could go any further, the ominous tones of Damien Martinez’s intro began to play. As the big man approached, Page and Young used the better part of discretion and vacated the ring. Martinez climbed between the ropes and Page and Young scampered up the ramp. Bruiser was frozen in the corner as Damien loomed over him. Perhaps looking for mercy, Bruiser offered Martinez one of the half spilled beer cans that was left on the mat. Damien slapped it away and put both hands around the back of Bruiser’s neck and pulled him to his feet. Bruiser cringed, waiting for the end he thought was coming. Instead, Martinez disengaged and walked across the ring and stood in the opposite corner. Then Dalton Castle’s music began to play. As the flamboyant competitor made his entrance, Bruiser apprehensively moved to take his leave, glancing in Martinez’s direct. Damien appeared oblivious to Bruiser’s presence, so the man from Milwaukee, WI got while the gettin’ was good. Ian Riccaboni was flummoxed: “What in the world just happened?! I was certain the Beer City Bruiser had seen his last night in a Ring of Honor ring.” Damien Martinez def. Dalton Castle by pin In a very competitive match, Castle avoided Damien’s clutches and impressively muscled the big man for a big part of the contest. However, the giant Martinez was more than Dalton could handle on this night, as he fell to South of Heaven. Texas Tornado MatchTravis Gordon & Will Ferrara def. Roppongi Vice by pin Gordon and Ferrara had been recruited by Jay White in his fight against Kenny Omega and his Infernal Affairs partners Rocky Romero and Beretta of Roppongi Vice. Before the match, “Flip” Gordon said that this match was going to be too wild to be contained by the usual rules and proposed that it become a Texas Tornado Match. Beretta shrugged and deferred to his partner. Romero eagerly nodded, enticed by the opportunity for increased mayhem. At the bell, Ferrara clotheslined Beretta over the top rope and Gordon went out after. Rocky attacked Will and Beretta returned to the ring for some double teaming. Romero and Ferrara ended up on the floor and Flip put on a springboard display against Beretta, culminating in a 4-Nifty for the pin. Austin Aries def. Kazarian by pin The recent altercation between Austin Aries and The Addiction set the stage for this confrontation. With Daniels in the main event competing for the ROH championship, it fell to Kazarian to settle business. Aries handily won this bout with a Brainbuster. Not satisfied with the win, Aries gave Kazarian another Brainbuster, appearing to injure him like he had on the previous occasion. Kenny Omega def. Jay White by pin After seemingly dodging Jay White in both Ring of Honor and Japan, ROH officials managed to lock down Kenny Omega for this long awaited clash. White came at Omega fast and strong, nearly pinning him in the opening minutes with a Kiwi Krusher. Kenny bounced back, taking Jay’s legs out from under him as he climbed to the top turnbuckle. With White crotched on the turnbuckle, he was positioned for Omega to pick him up for One Winged Angel. White kicked out! Omega went to his finisher again. Kick out! Kenny dragged his hands down his face in frustration. White reversed a whip into the turnbuckle and hit Kenny with three arm-trap spike DDTs in a row. The arena was rocking, cheering on Jay’s comeback. Omega escaped to the floor after taking some suplexes. The overeager White reached through the ropes to grab Kenny but Omega instead caught Jay and powerbombed him through the timekeeper’s table. The ref let it go and the match continued. Shoving White's dead weight back into the ring, Omega hoisted his opponent onto his shoulders and fell back into the mat with Croyt’s Wrath for the solid three count. The crowd cheered both men’s efforts and chants of “That was awesome!” echoed through the building. ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TK O'Ryan & Vinny Marseglia def. The Young Bucks(c) by DQ This match was precipitated by The Kingdom’s attack on the tag team champions on the most recent episode of Ring of Honor Television. The Bucks demanded a chance at retribution but were scheduled to defend the tag team titles and the ROH office would only grant them the match if the titles were on the line. The Bucks acquiesced but Ian Riccaboni questioned the wisdom of rewarding such behavior. Nick Jackson started the action off against “Horror King” Vinny Marseglia. Nick indicated that Vinny should 'Suck it!' with a crotch chop. Vinny made it clear he wasn’t playing games as he responded with a European uppercut. Marseglia dragged Nick to his corner and tagged in TK O’Ryan. The pair combined for a spinebuster & headbutt that left Nick squirming and reaching for the tag to his brother Matt. O’Ryan worked over Nick who turned the tide when he rebounded off the turnbuckles with a lariat. Soon it was Marseglia and Matt having a match within a match until Nick joined his brother for More Bang For Your Buck. Fortunately for Marseglia, his tag team partner grabbed the ref, preventing a timely count. The Bucks went to their combo again, this time with O’Ryan reversing the pin situation. TK then made the tag and pulled Nick out to the floor where he gave Jackson a shot to the ribs with his baseball bat. Matt tagged in relief of his brother but ended up taking The Melvin Maker at the hands of O'Ryan & Marseglia. The Bucks eventually got back on track, building momentum against O’Ryan. The match came to a close as Matt and TK did battle on the floor. O’Ryan went for his bat again but Matt intercepted and used the weapon himself. The ref saw to disqualify the Bucks and everyone in the building were left unsatisfied with the result and it felt like this was just the beginning between these two teams. ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Christopher Daniels def. Jay Lethal by pin This match was the final of the Field of Honor Tournament to crown a new Ring of Honor World Champion. ROH senior referee Todd Sinclair assumed the officiating duties for possibly the biggest match of the year so far. Both men followed the Code of Honor and the bell rang. Daniels, continuing to follow his recent win-by-any-means philosophy, opened his offense with an eye rake. Lethal was temporarily blinded and Daniels took advantage with a running neckbreaker and followed with Last Rites. Daniels climbed to the top turnbuckle as Lethal recovered. Once Jay was back to his feet, Chris launched himself with a flying cross body, driving Lethal back into the mat. Daniels cradled a leg along with a handful of tights. Sinclair made the count, ending this match in shocking fashion. “The Fallen Angel” was victorious and fell to his knees in tears as the belt was handed to him. There were some jeers critical of the manner in which he won but they were drowned out by the overwhelmingly positive response to Daniels fulfilling his dream and finally winning the championship of the company he helped get off the ground over fifteen years ago. Daniels best friend Kazarian led a procession of fellow wrestlers down to the ring to hoist Chris overhead in his moment of triumph. Surprisingly, Lethal waited for the celebration to die down and confronted Daniels before offering his hand, respecting the Code of Honor. Current Rankings:
ROH World Champion - Christopher Daniels
- Jay Lethal
- Kenny Omega
- Jay White
- Damien Martinez
- Dalton Castle
- Kenny King
- Adam Page
- Silas Young
- Chris Sabin
- Jay Briscoe

On the Hunt - with The Briscoes
GoPro footage of Jay and Mark walking down a lonely back road. They approach what looks to be an abandoned chapel.
Jay - “BJ Whitmer got away from us last time but his trail led us here.”
Mark - “I gotta say - this is a little creepy.”
Inside, the boys stride up the aisle, dusty pews on each side of them. At the base of the pulpit, they find a tattered white shirt, stained with blood. As Jay inspects the garment, turning it around in his hands, Mark investigates the pulpit closer.
Mark - “Hey! Look at this! Someone left a note.”
Mark’s camera focuses on the note long enough for it to be read: I tried to Save him but the Devil’s grip on his soul was too strong. And so, as the Lord proclaims, “...all the wicked he shall destroy”. I have failed but my Mission must go on.
Jay and Mark look at each other apprehensively.
Mark - “We knew the Yellow-Bellied Whitmer was an endangered species but now it might be extinct.”
Jay - “Looks like this hunt is over.”

Pariah , walkswithwolf , reviler13 , TTX - Thanks for following along, guys. The first half of the season is in the books with a new world champion crowned at Best In The World. I think things played out fairly well. Now, moving forward, we will start to see some new programs get underway. On to the second half...
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 19 Kazarian joined Ian Riccaboni on commentary. “I’m glad you’re joining me once again, Frankie,” Ian said. “Too bad it’s because you aren’t cleared to be in the ring.”“Injuries are a part of the business, Ian. But being hurt intentionally by Austin Aries wasn’t something I planned for.”Dalton Castle def. Beer City Bruiser by pin Castle showed impressive strength, muscling around his much bigger opponent. He wore Bruiser down by working on his back and got the pin with a Deadlift German Suplex. After the break, ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels came out. “This is what I’ve been waiting for, Ian!” Kaz enthusiastically expressed. “Say hello to your new world champion!”Daniels went into his long road to the Ring of Honor title and thanked the fans for their support. He was about to go into further depth thanking others who helped him along the way but was interrupted by the arrival of Austin Aries. “What does this jerk think he’s doing?” Kaz exclaimed. “This is Chris’ moment.”“Alright, Frankie. Remember, let’s stay professional.” Aries facetiously congratulated Daniels, then began digging at him about “...finally winning the ROH title after how many years?” and that the competition these days can’t compare to when he held the belt on any of his three occasions. Austin also added that he probably softened Jay Lethal up for him, breaking Lethal’s confidence when he beat him at Supercard of Honor. And as was to be expected, Aries then challenged Daniels to a match. Chris appeared to be considering Austin’s statements and the challenge. Not showing much patience, Aries poked Daniels in the chest. Kaz reflexively stood up at the announce position, seeing a potential threat to his friend. Aries noticed Kaz’s reaction. “You better sit down, buddy. That neck keeps getting hurt, you might end up in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.”Daniels held a hand up, letting Kaz know that he had things under control. “Austin Aries, rather than wasting time countering you point by point, I’ll just say ‘yes’, I accept your challenge. Tonight.”Aries smugly nodded and left the ring, making sure to sneer at Kaz on his way out. Mark Briscoe def. Adam Page by pin Mark ran roughshod on the “Hangman” until Page smashed him into the ring post. Adam held the advantage for a bit but it was Briscoe scoring the pin after Froggy Bow. Ring of Honor comes to Nashville, TN with Honor For All! We will see Ring of Honor World Champion Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, The Addiction, face ROH's two newest arrivals - TK O'Rayn & Vinny Marseglia! Also scheduled to appear: Ring of Honor World Television Champion Jay Lethal, Adam Page, Will Ferrara and many more! Tune in next week for more announcements! Christopher Daniels def. Austin Aries by pin Before the match started, the ring announcer declared that this would be a non-title match. Aries nearly had a fit. Daniels even protested and spoke to the referee. After some discussion with the ref, the ring announcer clarified that Ring of Honor officials had not granted Aries a title match at this time. Austin pointed an accusatory finger at the champion, putting the blame on Daniels. Daniels decided to forego the Code of Honor and attacked Aries. Sending Austin into the ropes, Chris planted him with an STO then hit the Best Moonsault Ever. “The Fallen Angel” tossed Aries to the floor and landed on him with a BME again. With his opponent rattled, Daniels rolled him back into the ring and tried ending it with Angel’s Wings but Aries got a shoulder up. After a few more shots to his foe, Daniels executed Last Rites and got the pinfall on Aries. Ian Riccaboni was a little surprised by the new world champion’s aggressiveness and how decisively he put an end to Aries attempt to enter the title picture.
