RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 22 Kenny King, recovering from an injury, joined Ian Riccaboni on commentary. Will Ferrara def. Beer City Bruiser by pin The hapless Bruiser couldn’t get his hands on the elusive Ferrara. It took a while to wear the big man down, but Will earned the victory with a sunset flip powerbomb. Following the break, the camera focused on the center of the ring where a simple wooden pulpit had been placed. Moments later, Caprice Coleman, dressed sharply in black, came down to the ring accompanied by Damien Martinez. The crowd didn’t know what to make of it but Kenny King had something to say. “I don’t know what game these two are playing, but they’re the reason I’m sitting doing commentary instead of being in ring. I’m of a mind to get a little payback.”“Hold on now, Kenny,” Ian cautioned. “You’re not at a hundred percent. Besides, Ring of Honor officials frown on the commentary team getting into physical altercations.”“Alright, Ian. But I ain’t forgetting that they have a receipt coming.”Coleman stood at the podium waiting for the crowd to quiet down. As the buzz of the fans faded, Coleman looked down for a moment, gathering himself, then spoke with fire in his voice. “The Devil done rose up in Ring of Honor! And he laid me low. But Providence saw fit for me to return to Ring of Honor. But it wasn’t for no reason. No! You see, my brothers and sisters, the Devil took root because there is a sickness here. A weakness of spirit. And while the Devil may have been cast out, this is still his domain. That is why my mission, Coleman’s Mission, is to save the lost souls of professional wrestling. And if they can't be saved, then they will suffer damnation.”Having worked himself up, Coleman became still and eerily looked over his shoulder at Damien Martinez. “This man here was a pawn of the Devil. But it wasn’t his fault. He was an innocent man who…”Coleman looked to Damien again with fearful reverence. “Aw, who am I kidding?” he blurted, with a big, phony smile. “He’s a bad man. A really bad man. And those souls that can’t be saved… he is their Punishment.”Adam Page def. Kazarian by pin In a great back and forth match, Kazarian and Page went full bore. Late in the match, it looked like “Hangman” was running out of gas but he pulled out the win with a Rite of Passage. Ring of Honor presents Excellence live from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA! The Briscoes take on The Kingdom with major implications for the tag team title picture! Kenny King returns to action to face Chris Sabin. Also scheduled to appear: Adam Page, The Young Bucks, Will Ferrara and more! ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Young Bucks(c) def. The Kingdom by pin At Best In The World, The Kingdom won a disqualification victory over the champions, Matt and Nick Jackson. Since then, The Kingdom suffered a three-on-two loss to the Bucks and Chris Sabin but did defeat The Addiction with TK O’Ryan pinning ROH World Champion, Christopher Daniels in a shocker. “Horror King” Vinny Marseglia started out against Nick and ate a devastating spiral kick right off the bat. The Bucks hurried into an Indy Taker but Vinny kicked out. The Bucks then went for a Meltzer Driver and O’Ryan had to make the save. Marseglia was able to reverse and tag out. Matt got worked over and survived The Melvin Maker twice. The Kingdom continued to double team and O’Ryan worked a leg, looking for a submission with his Glue Factory leg hold. The Bucks bounced back, hitting TK with the Meltzer Driver then the Indytaker for the pin. With one win apiece, these teams are bound to face one another again.

Caprice Coleman and Damien Martinez could be a great team, though if T.K. O’Ryan and Vinny slay him first for Taven, then we may never know. Great job!

reviler13 - Thanks! While Coleman and co. may have to contend with The Kingdom, Martinez is only just the beginning. Read on: Posted on Ring of Honor Wrestling's Facebook page: The Mission Grainy, stock footage rolls of a dingy, downtrodden inner city street. The street-view camera pans down the sidewalk and rests on a nondescript building front with the word Mission above the doorway. The video cuts to a shabby, barren room only populated by a few battered folding chairs. Caprice Coleman walks in from off camera, pulls up a chair and has a seat. “Welcome to Coleman’s Mission. Where we are saving the lost souls of professional wrestling. I have one of those lost souls with us here today. Punishment? See the man in.”
The camera moves across the room to where Damien Martinez is standing by the door. He opens it and motions for someone on the other side to enter. Shane Taylor steps into the room, warily looking up at the menacing Martinez as he passes by him. “ ‘Notorious’ Shane Taylor. Welcome. Have a seat, have a seat.”
Taylor sits down across from Coleman who leans forward, elbow on his knee, hand under his chin, earnestly scrutinizing his guest. “ ‘Notorious’. What are you notorious for…? Losing?”
Coleman starts laughing hysterically as Taylor looks on, appalled by the mockery. Coleman composes himself and gets focused again. “No, but seriously, you’ve been losing a lot lately. And I’m gonna tell you why.” “Oh, yeah? Why?”
“You don’t want to win. You don’t think you deserve to. You are full of self hatred for letting what happened to your partner happen.”
Taylor looks to where Martinez is standing, obviously recalling what Damien did to his partner Keith Lee so many months ago. “I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that man over there is responsible for your problems. Uh-uh. He’s not. He was simply a pawn doing the bidding of a higher power. Besides, there was nothing you could have done about it. And striking this man down, if that were possible, would not solve what is troubling you.”
“Then what would?”
“Allow me to save your soul. Join my Mission and be saved! Or consider the alternative…”
Coleman’s expression turns sinister as he looks over at the sneering Martinez. Taylor follows Coleman’s gaze and nervously licks his lips before slowly nodding.

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 23 Travis Gordon def. Silas Young by pin During the introductions, Silas Young proceeded to run down “Flip” Gordon about not being a real man and Ian Riccaboni took exception to it. “That man is an armed forces veteran, Silas Young! What have you done in your life that is as manly as that?!”“Whoa. Relax, Riccaboni, relax,” toned Kenny King doing guest commentary. “You’re going to get that ugly tie of yours in a twist.”Young gave his less experienced opponent a lesson at first. Flip rebounded with a superkick and wowed the crowd with a Star Spangled Stunner then went in for the pin which Silas easily kicked out of. Gordon went for a spring board again, hitting a Sling Blade and a hooked a leg for the three count, getting his first Ring of Honor victory. The Mission (Damien Martinez & Shane Taylor w/Caprice Coleman) def. Jay & Mark Briscoe by pin Caprice Coleman’s newly formed team of Martinez and Taylor debuted against ROH’s most decorated tag team, the Briscoes. The bell rang and Martinez charged Jay. Briscoe surprised the big man, catching him with a release spinebuster. Jay’s next attempt at offense was blocked by Damien. A one-armed side slam set up a curb stomp, then a big clothesline for a near fall. Jay was in trouble and Taylor tagged in. Shane dropped Jay with 2-1, a big knockout punch, for another near fall. Mark urged his brother to make the tag but Jay was driven into the mat with a double chokeslam for another two count. Jay caught a break as he rebounded out of the corner with a lariat on Martinez and hit a DDT, allowing him to make the hot tag to his brother. Mark attacked Martinez with Red Neck Kung Fu inside and out of the ring. Mark got a one count with a Cut-Throat Driver. Mark and Damien battled back and forth with Martinez nearly getting the win with South of Heaven. Coleman guided The Mission in the final moments as they double-teamed Mark. Martinez snapped the younger Briscoe with an Alabama Slam backbreaker. Taylor blocked the save by Jay and the pin was counted. Coleman joined his men in the ring, knowingly smiling and nodding as he basked in the silence of the stunned crowd. Ring of Honor's Excellence comes Philadelphia in two weeks! Double tag team co-main event - The Briscoes vs The Kingdom and ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks against The Mission of Damien Martinez and Shane Taylor with Caprice Coleman! Kenny King vs Chris Sabin Silas Young vs Jay White Also scheduled to appear: Adam Page, Travis Gordon, Will Ferrara and more! ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Jay Lethal(c) def. Rhett Titus by pin Titus tried getting a hot start but Lethal quickly shut him down and went to work. Rhett caught the champion with a Thrust Buster from out of nowhere and the TV title nearly changed hands. Titus got on a bit of a roll but the veteran Lethal rode the storm out, picked his moment, and ended it with a Lethal Injection.

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 24 Caprice Coleman (w/Damien Martinez & Shane Taylor) def. Cheeseburger by pin Cheeseburger got no offense in as Coleman made a display, goading the crowd as he drew out the beating longer than was necessary. Mercifully, Caprice ended it with Coleman’s Cutter. Caprice smiled as he mockingly shook Cheeseburger's limp hand after the bout. From the commentary position, Kenny King prodded the ref to clear The Mission out of the ring. Coleman looked in King's direction with an eyebrow raised. Jay White def. Chris Sabin by pin White was gunning for the #1 contender spot, looking to regain momentum after his recent loss to Kenny Omega. This was a well contested match with a ton of big spots. The fall came after White went to the Kiwi Krusher with Sabin kicking out, then going to the Kiwi Krusher again to finish it. Ring of Honor presents Excellence next week from Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena! Christopher Daniels vs Adam Page in a Proving Ground match. Kenny King vs Chris Sabin Silas Young vs Jay White Jay Lethal vs. "Flip" Gordon Also scheduled to appear: Dalton Castle, Rhett Titus and more! ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Christopher Daniels(c) def. Dalton Castle by pin This was Daniels’ first defense of the ROH World Championship since winning it two months ago at Best In The World. The match started with The Code of Honor but things quickly got serious as Daniels hit Last Rites and took it out of the ring for a brawl on the floor. The champion held sway early but Castle bounced back. Daniels worked a Koji Clutch to regain the advantage. Castle tried to capitalize on a miscue by Daniels and climbed to the top rope. The champion recovered, knocking the challenger from his perch and followed up with Angel’s Wings for the victory.

Always great action in your ROH, aceldamas. The lineup for Excellence looks great. Jay White looks to be gaining his momentum back so that match with Silas Young is an important one for him.

cruefan68 - Thanks for stopping in Crue! Excellence turned out to be an eventful show. Can Jay White keep his momentum going? You're about to find out. Excellence August 25, 2018 Philadelphia, PA Four Corner SurvivalKazarian def. Will Ferrara, Dalton Castle, and Cheeseburger Despite it being a short match, each man saw action. Kazarian took the fall with a German suplex on Ferrara. Travis Gordon def. Jay Lethal by count out Lethal, the ROH World Television Champion, entered this non-title bout with a lot of confidence. He may have underestimated Gordon as Flip traded counters with him. Slowing it down with a figure four leg lock, Lethal thought he had gained control but Flip caught him with a Star Spangled Stunner for a two count. Jay couldn’t contain Gordon and bailed out of the ring. Flip gave no quarter as he connected with a triangle moonsault to the floor. Lethal was wiped out. Jay half stumbled, half crawled away as the referee counted him out. Silas Young def. Jay White by count out Young, as surly as ever, tried running down White, criticizing his haircut and ring gear. Jay was having none of it and insisted Silas follow the Code of Honor. Young complied and the fight was on. White tried a knife-edge chop but Silas evaded and connected with a bypass clothesline for a two count. Pee Gee Waja Plunge by Silas but Jay got his foot on the rope. Young then tossed White to the floor and body slammed him against the guard rail. Jay was hurt and the result was a second straight count out finish for the night. Silas got on the mic with some words for ROH officials - “Everyone back there in the office, listen up. How about getting some real men for competition in this company.”Travis Gordon came out to help White and Young made sure to insult him as well. Proving Ground MatchChristopher Daniels def. Adam Page by pin A win by Page tonight would earn him a future title match against ROH World Champion, Daniels. Page petitioned that it be a title shot now and Daniels seemed willing but the referee shut that idea now. The match got off to a wild start with Daniels continuing his aggressive championship form. This played into Page’s style though and “Hangman” stood in there toe-to-toe with the champ. Daniels began to build steam but Page stole the advantage during a brawl at ringside. There were a couple of near falls each way but it was “The Fallen Angel” bringing it home with the Best Moonsault Ever. Rhett Titus def. Beer City Bruiser by DQ The normally hapless Bruiser made a good showing for himself. He weathered Titus’ high energy offense but lost his patience and smashed Rhett with his keg and was disqualified. Chris Sabin def. Kenny King by pin King may have come back from his recent injury too soon as Sabin completely rolled over him, getting the pin with Cradle Shock. Discouraged and hurting, King was slow making his way to the back and crossed paths with Caprice Coleman and The Mission as they made their entrance. Coleman paused to sneer at King. When Kenny straightened up to say something, Damien Martinez, the man who injured him, stepped in front of Coleman. Kenny warily backed off and continued to the back. “That’s right, Kenny King,” Coleman chirped. “Take your sorry behind back to the locker room and rethink your career choice.”The Mission (Damien Martinez & Shane Taylor w/Caprice Coleman) def. The Young Bucks by pin With their recent defeat of the Briscoes, Martinez and Taylor tested themselves against the ROH World Tag Team Champions in a non-title situation. At the bell, Nick Jackson rushed Martinez and struck with a spiral kick. Superkick, cover, kick out. Superkick, cover, kick out again. Nick climbed to the top rope but Damien blasted him with a Fist of Anarchy as he came down. Taylor tagged in and The Mission doubled teamed Nick. Shane connected twice with his 2-1 knockout punch and pinned Nick in a shocker. As The Mission’s hands were being raised The Kingdom, TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia, ran down to the ring and attacked. Coleman joined his men to stave off the attack but Matt Jackson backed up The Kingdom. The Mission were routed. Matt Jackson extended his hand to O’Ryan and Marseglia but TK slapped it away. “We’re not done with you two either,” O’Ryan stated, pointing at Nick still out cold on the canvas. “You better get him healthy because we’re coming for those belts!”Jay & Mark Briscoe def. The Kingdom by pin The main event kept the ball rolling as Mark Briscoe took it to TK O’Ryan and the Kingdom’s upstart soon found himself on the receiving end of the Briscoes devastating Doomsday Device. Vinny Marseglia was in for the save however, blasting Mark with Bad Moon Rising and reversed the pinning situation. From that point, The Kingdom effectively isolated and double teamed Jay. The elder Briscoe took a beating and barely avoided defeat in a few instances. The match got more wild as the Briscoes began to dominate in their brawling fashion. O’Ryan took another Doomsday Device which ended the match. Current Rankings:
ROH World Champion - Christopher Daniels
- Jay Lethal
- Silas Young
- Travis Gordon
- Jay White
- Chris Sabin
- Kenny King
- Damien Martinez
- Jay Briscoe
- Dalton Castle
- Mark Briscoe

RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2018 Season Episode 25 Mark Briscoe def. Dalton Castle by pin Castle held sway for almost the entirety of the match but Briscoe made a quick turnaround and won it with a Cut-Throat Driver. After the break, “The Last Real Man In Professional Wrestling” Silas Young came to the ring. “I have something to say to the big shots in the Ring of Honor office. Just a week ago, I beat your golden boy, Jay White. I bet that wrecked your plans for Death Before Dishonor later this month, didn’t it? You had that kid all lined up to challenge for the Ring of Honor title. Then here comes The Last Real Man and shows him for the fraud he is. Well, I have news for you - it’s time to open your eyes and see that there is only one man who deserves that number one contender spot and you’re looking at him.”Before Silas could continue, ROH World Champion, Christopher Daniels made his entrance. Dressed in a sports coat, wearing sunglasses, with the championship belt over his shoulder, “The Fallen Angel” made a lap around the ring, greeting the fans. Getting into the ring, Daniels asked Young for the mic and it was grudgingly turned over. “Silas Young, you may have indeed climbed to the top of the ladder but as far as this world champion is concerned, Jay White is still the number one contender.”Silas balked at this comment but Daniels continued. “While you did defeat Jay last week, it was a cheap victory. Until you can get a clean win against him in the middle of the ring, it won’t be you facing me at Death Before Dishonor if I have anything to say about it.”The crowd approved and Silas was not happy. “But I'm a fair guy, Silas. I do think you should get another chance. So I propose you and Jay White have a rematch right here tonight!”Jay White made his way down to the ring and indicated he was game if Silas was. Young didn’t like it but he agreed to the match. Daniels nodded approvingly. “Good luck, gentleman. May the best man win. And I’ll see whoever that is in Las Vegas.”Chris Sabin def. Rhett Titus by pin A solid back and forth match that saw Sabin get the pin after a superkick. Death Before Dishonor comes to you live on pay-per-view from Las Vegas! Jay Lethal defends the Ring of Honor World Television Championship against Travis "Flip" Gordon Kenny Omega and Roppongi Vice return to defend the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Also scheduled to appear: Jay & Mark Briscoe, Chris Sabin, Dalton Castle, and more! Tune in next week for further announcements. #1 Contender MatchSilas Young def. Jay White by pin Even though White made a good showing for himself, Young was on his game and punished his less experienced opponent. Jay overcame multiple pinning situations but Silas got the clean win with a cross body from the top rope, becoming the new number one contender. Christopher Daniels came back down to the ring. He patted White on the back then turned his attention to Young. Daniels said congratulations and extended his hand to his upcoming challenger. Silas looked down at the proffered hand with disgust before turning away disrespectfully and made his exit.
