Hi everyone,

Thought I'd post an introduction here after signing up to the FG boards a couple of weeks ago.

I'm Horrorshow and I'm from the UK; England to be a little more precise. I've been playing and loving the LoW and CHIKARA cards games now since Christmas 2010. I've remember seeing ads for CotG in pro wrestling magazines twenty odd years ago but the Sci-Fi angle never floated my boat.

I work in education and I've been with the long suffering Mrs. Horrorshow for 11 years. Fortunately she's a huge pro wrestling fan as well so she indulges my interest in FG card games!

I love International Cricket and most American sports, especially the NFL which I've followed very closely since 1985. I've been a pro wrestling fan ever since watching Johnny Saint, Rollerball Rocco, Steve Grey, Fit Finlay and the Dynamite Kid etc on "World of Sport" in the early eighties. CHIKARA is my favourite promotion but I love most independent wrestling. I watch a fair amount of WWE and keep tabs on TNA. I attend as many independent shows (and the occasional WWE event) as I can. Nothing beats being in the front row of a hot pro wrestling card!

Inspired by some of the fantastic feds I've been reading here I thought I'd start to chronicle my own CHIKARA promotion (see signature). I'm currently half way through my second season so I've got plenty of shows still to write up!

Anyhow, thanks for reading and I look forward to hopefully making a lot of new friends here on the FG boards!

Welcome Horrorshow! We have a bunch of game players in the UK and glad to have you on here. I know Chikara has a bunch of fans in the UK as well, glad to see its reach is so wide. If you ever decide to come to the States for a Chikara show let me know!

Thanks for the warm welcome, Tournament Master! I'd noticed through navigating the boards that there were a few posters from the United Kingdom floating around. I'll certainly take you up on that kind invitation if I ever make it over to the US for a CHIKARA show!

I first stumbled across CHIKARA when I saw Hallowicked appear in the PWI 500 back in 2003, although through my interest in independent wrestling I'd known about Mike Quackenbush since the late 90's. I was intrigued by how outlandish and unusual Hallowicked was and then discovered that CHIKARA was populated by several other wacky and unlikely characters. One order later to SMV and I was hooked!

I'd been very casually playing LoW before being stunned to discover FG's CHIKARA card game which then took my interest in FG to a whole new level! I'm absolutely delighted to see so many indie promotions being represented here now and I for one will certainly be buying them all up.

Welcome aboard Horrorshow.
I don't post my results as I don't play as much as I can with my work schedule.
I am a fan of Chikara as well and have been to a couple shows. They are great. The wrestlers are nice to chat with.
I have some of my Chikara cards signed and in top loaders card holders. The Barati ( spelled it wrong probably ) were great. I had my hand in a cast and they asked me what I did. Said I hurt it at work. Said yea right at work ( while doing a stroking motion). I laughed and became a fan of them. Hope you can make to a show.

I can't imagine what it must be like to chat to guys on the CHIKARA roster; must be a slightly surreal experience!

I remember meeting Samoa Joe at a 1PW show here in England a few years ago. He was such a nice guy that I find it extremely difficult to buy in to him being a bad a$$ anymore! The demise of kayfabe, eh?
