Portia Perez is going to have neck surgery and is retiring after this weekend. Well, damn. And here, I thought I was finally getting a decent tag team scene with Made in Sin coming. Ty, I really appreciate the updates on Shimmer (and women's wrestling in general). It's the one fed I'm so far behind on, I feel like I'll never get caught up.

She doesn't have to retire in your fed. There will be an 8-man tag the last show tomorrow for Portia's retirement.

In regards to Portia, she came out and cut the promo. Said that she has an issue with her neck. Needs surgery and "Will probably never wrestle again" She then said that her doctor said that she could probably work one more match and not mess things up further. "So she can come and say goodbye to all you guys, but why would she want to do that"
At the Q&A I had a brief talk with her and in my opinion she seemed pretty legit. We talked Smash Wrestling and how she was disappointed about being able to work there anymore. She was chatting with a lot of Fans and other Wrestlers, so who knows.
I do know that she and Nicole are really hard to find at the Shimmer shows for the most part, and were nowhere to be seen during the after parties in April, so take that for what it's worth.
She did once again address her injury during the Ninja's/Bomb's panel, and she seemed pretty legit.
Now mind you Portia is one the last few people to truly try and keep Kayfabe alive. In her two appearances of the day she didn't take any bumps, and didn't interfere in the NO DQ match between Eagles and Matthews for the belt

Prazak said on facebook the Shimmer tapings in 2016 won't be the usual dates. He's thinking possibly June and November.

SHIMMER Volume 80 on April 2nd in Dallas will be a tournament to crown the first ever Heart of SHIMMER Champion. I don't know if Shimmer needs a secondary title. I still don't think they need tag titles.
