New PWI just came out (at least to subscribers). It is the Top 50 Women in Wrestling (as a follow up to the PWI 500):

I remember when I first broke into wrestling around 1998 and I started wroking for the RWA and the EWF both promoters were sent letters form PWI telling them to send in their nomonations for the PWI top 500. So they sent in a few of their more experienced guys. I told a friend of mine this Gaza Kalman Jr. and he laughed and told me in 1 phone call he would make the top 500. He called Dan Severn who was the NWA champ then and Dan told him no problem. Gaza haden't worked in 8 months due to a back injury and guess what he made it. After that I never asked and promoter I worked for to send in my promo shots and I never did it myself. To me it was all a sham. And I will have finished of my career with over 500+ wins and 8 loses and I can name every loss.
So Savage T don't get to upset if you don't make the big list as it is all politics.

The PWI 500 is always handy to keep if you are interested in the bios of the wrestlers. The bite sized descriptions are done well. Yeah I usually keep the 500 in the bathroom where the bios can be read several times. I'm sure the PWI staff would be happy to hear that. |

To me it was all a sham. And I will have finished of my career with over 500+ wins and 8 loses and I can name every loss. Yep, and it was only a work when you lost, right?  But no, the 500 is a joke. The national and international guys are listed, then it's all a game from there. I've seen guys I know listed who didn't wrestle at all that year and, in some cases, guys who were no longer alive! |
