Suddenly, living an hour and a half from Houston does not seem like such a good idea. Just to let my friends know that I am alright so far, as I expect the winds and rain any hour now. Not to worry, I will ride out the storm. I hope and pray for the safety of cotg and low players in this area and hope some can make it to galacticon next year with war stories from here. See ya in the morining I hope.

I know that Adam (Vidtek) is riding it out just north of Houston, so hopefully he'll be all right, too. Hang in there, Texaskid.

No offense but why would anyone stay in the direct path of a hurricane ?. If I were in that situation l'd get as far away as fast as possible

Not everybody has the means to. I don't know that that's the case here, but those are the sad facts.

Having experience with what you just went through, i hope all of the Texas promoters are doing good with no damage.
Let's hope that Ike is the last one this year...

I am back on line. Had to stay an extra day in Trinity to take care of school duties. I then hitailed it to grapeland where I have been staying with mom and dad. My house rode outthe storm nicely but no electricity and even worse, no net. So I am crashing at mom and dad's place and got an unexpected vacation till monday. As they say no good deed goes unpunished, I am sure I will have to log in overtime later on. I did manage to bring my cotg/low games with me so in case I did lose everything I would have those. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers.

Great to hear texaskid. Have some family friends south of Houston and they are expecting 3 weeks with no power. Hopefully everything gets going soon.
