I just got back to the Hojos (ironically I am staying in the room right next door to my friends Ryan and Mary from Las Vegas) as PWG finished tonight after 1:00 AM.
quick results from tonight's show:
Tommaso Ciampa defeated Rocky Romero
ACH defeated Cedric Alexander
Best Friends defeated Michael Elgin and Johnny Gargano
Trevor Lee defeated Kevin Steen in Steen's final PWG match
Frankie Kazarian defeated Brian Kendrick
Roderick Strong defeated Adam Cole in a #1 contender's match
PWG World Champion Kyle O'Reilly defeated Chris Hero.
Strong afterward attacked O'Reilly after pretending to help him up.
World's Cutest Tag Team defeated PWG World Tag Team Champions Young Bucks in a guerrilla warfare match.
The match ended when a very heavily bleeding Candace LeRae shoved thumbtacks down the tights of Matt Jackson and then gave him her BALLPLEX finisher that she uses against male opponents. Afterward, Cole and Steen checked on their fellow Mount Rushmore teammates the Young Bucks and it led to the show closing with Cole and the Bucks all simultaneously superkicking the departing Steen.
While walking over to the show tonight, I walked with another friend who is also staying tonight in another room down the hall at the Hojos. We talked about who might replace Steen in Mount Rushmore since you have to have a 4th member in a faction called The Mount Rushmore of Wrestling. After he turned on O'Reilly tonight, I think Roderick Strong might become the new 4th member of Mount Rushmore. Looking forward both to BOLA next month and the upcoming O'Reilly-Strong match for the PWG World Championship!
