The story as I recall it was that Cabana was supposed to be in LOTF and then that didn't happen. That lead to the later deal where Colt got to sell the cards on his site as well as FG....well then they released the Colt Cabana NWA champ without contacting him apparently and he was not very happy about it as you might imagine.

Seems really odd. I don't understand why anyone would be mad about that. He signed on to the game and cards were released. He presumably made some money selling the cards on his site. That's still the only way to get a color Colt Cabana card.

That's still the only way to get a color Colt Cabana card. He probably wanted to sell the NWA version on his sight as well. He's a self-professed stingy person so that makes sense. And he seems to have a low tolerance for people he feels take advantage of him. I don't know what FG's deal was with him but either: a) They didn't honor their end of it or b) He didn't fully grasp what the deal was Speaking from personal experience, I think it can be hard to get things across to Colt and that he gets defensive a little too quickly.

He has a regular "Legends" card as well, doesn't he? Very hard to keep track of those multi-card guys! If I'm correct, he has the color Chikara card, which if I remember, I had to pay HIM for. Then there's the Legends card & then the NWA World champion card as well, right?
Seems a bit nit-picky for a guy who was allowed to sell his card on his own website to be annoyed about anything, actually.
Don't recall Danielson or Castagnoli ever making a fuss about such things & they're "slightly" bigger stars than Cabana.
Wow, I think I really just lost some respect for the guy. I hate when the "real world" creeps into into "professional wrestling!"

After my brief but disappointing interaction with him, I have a hard time watching his matches without thinking about the unpleasantness. As they say, best to not meet your heroes sometimes. That being said, my point isn't to bury him over his FG deal. I don't know the details. Just wanted to provide some tiny insight into why he may not be pleased with how things went.

The LOW card and the NWA champ Cabana card are the same. Just that one and the color Chikara card for him.

I know exactly what you mean. A few years ago, my younger son & I attended a local indy show starring Homicide, Jake Roberts & Balls Mahoney (last minute sub for Sabu, who pulled out-go figure). Anyway, both Jake & Balls were as nice as could be, posed for numerous photos with us, free of charge. Also on the card was a local wrestler who I will not name. We had seen him wrestle almost monthly for another indy promotion that held shows around the corner of our house & he became a favorite of my son. So as fate would have it, following his match, he's just kinda hanging out in the crowd, so I bring my son up to him, tell him my son is a big fan & that it's the kid's birthday. He says hold on, let me get you a picture. Goes into his bag, pulls out the photo, signs it, hands it to my kid & says to me, "that's 3 bucks, man."

OK, really didn't remember there being two b&w cards. Guess I haven't used them very much.
