Big fan of both, but I always loved how much natural swagger Scott possessed. Johnson did an awesome job of assuming a mantle that so few could have done justice.

Both had a style that really fit the band not to mention a great voice to go with it. It's really hard to say who's my favorite because it's a deadlock. Both singers had some really great hits.

I have to go with Bon Scott as well. As far as I'm concerned, the only album you need is Let There Be Rock. They got a lot of mileage out of those riffs in the last 40 years. Scott gave the songs personality whereas its painful to listen to Johnson's trashed voice anymore.

The best album that Bon Scott did in my opinion was "Highway To Hell". True that "Let There Be Rock" got a lot of mileage, but "Highway To Hell" made the biggest impact of his career. I still like Brian Johnson even though he's slowing down. "Back In Black" was his crowning achievement. Still lots of fond memories of the two.

Bon Scott (although I do like Brian Johnson too.)
One of my personal favorite ACDC songs is Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.
Sometimes one of my other favorite bands Dropkick Murphys (who I saw earlier this month at the new Brooklyn Bowl here on the Strip in Las Vegas) plays a cover version of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap:
A good thread with a good question for a great band!

Both are awesome in their own right, but I gotta go with Brian Johnson, as that's the stuff I grew up on. I've seen AC/DC three times live and Johnson is one hell of a showman, and all he does is sing and say about 5 words between each song (if he talks at all; sometimes they just go from one song to the next), but he's got that crowd in the palm of his hand from start to finish.

A lot of great opinions here. I am a huge fan of the band and love both guys so it is very difficult to decide. I give a slight edge to Bon Scott but Brian Johnson helped get the band over a huge loss and continue on to another great era. You really can't go wrong with either guy in my book. Scott definitely had that swagger, though, and 70's era AC/DC is some awesome stuff.
