Shattered Realities

[Powermonger]

Tom has released a super hero version of COTG that has inspired me to write this special story

using the characters from the many sets of the GWF, GWFZ, and many others that Filsinger

Games released over the years. That also include all the Promoter Madness sets. My thanks

goes to the many people that has ever submitted a character for an official GWFZ set that

Swarm has worked on and to Tom himself for creating the super hero version of COTG. If I

missed anybody else, my apology for not including you in the credits.

Disclaimer – I don't have the intention of making any profit off of this. I do claim that this is my

own work that is used for the sheer purpose of gaming and to show my ability in a very special 

story driven way. There are times that I may even use my own created bootlegs and

those from the PDF download library of this board. The PDF download library that may be

used in this story are used for the purpose of gaming fun with the submitted character's owner

credit for making said character. The only bootlegs that I will use are in the PDF library and my own 

so that no problems will suddenly pop up. Thanks for all your time and understanding.

And now I present to you....

SHATTERED REALITIES

The Plan....

It was at the stronghold of Powermonger where he is planning to do something quite cruel to

the Planet Earth. A planet that he hates with a passion. The ultimate plan is to compress all

known realities of time into one existing singularity. A reality known as TIME COMPRESSION.

Can it be possible? How can it happen? And what if Powermonger can achieve his purpose?

Setting: Powermonger's Stronghold        Location: Unknown

Powermonger: “Is the device ready?”

Servant: “No most high one. There's still some parts and mineral ore that is needed to complate the device.”

Powermonger: “WHAT?!, It's not finished?! Then how can I compress the entire fabric of time

into one existing sinularity of past, present, and future? I intend to recreate reality as I know it

into my image. And you can't even do what you are paid to do? Leave my presence you gnat!

Leave my chamber at once while I think of a way to complete my mission!”

The right hand person and main enforcer of Powermonger, Amanda the Relentless has stayed 

quiet during the ordeal. Powermonger then glances at her.

Powermonger (With anger in his eyes): “Do you have a suggestion my loyal partner?”

Amanda: “Yes. The problem in getting the parts and mineral ore you require has been

pervented by your worst enemy. They call him THE SAINT.”

Powermonger: “Yes! It was he who stopped my smuggling operation. But I will not let that

flea stop me in my ultimate plan of becoming a god.”

Amanda: “Then you will have me carry out the extermination plans to rid The Saint and his

military allies?”

Powermonger: “I Shall. Now go any carry out my orders.”

Amanda: “At once.”

Amanda the Relentless leaves the inner chamber and Powermonger laughs with evil delight.

Powermonger: “I will win! So swear it! It will happen! Gatekeeper, send in some fodder for me

to take out my displeasure on.”

The Gatekeeper did as he was commanded. Pollux was sent in to fight Powermonger in his

personal sports ring.

Powermonger vs. Pollux

Notes: The sheer fury of Powermonger has overcome the weak talented Pollux with the 

DIVINE FORCE. Powermonger ordered his imperial guards to remove Pollux from the ring 

where the victor continued to speak.

Powermonger: “That will be the beginning of the end for Earth. The Saint and his allies WILL

LOSE!”

With the plan now set, Powermonger will begin his quest for domination. Can he achieve his

mission?

The Assault....

                    

Setting: Jack's Bar                       Location: Earth

It was on a cloudy afternoon that an exhausted Saint was taking a small vacation away from

his last mission. The Saint was successful in stopping Powermonger's smuggling operation.

As The Saint was thinking about his next mission, an old friend dropped by for a visit.

Aegis: “Long time no see.”

Saint: “What do you want?”

Aegis: “You're help and assistance.”

Saint: And why should I do that?”

Aegis: “Powermonger was almost stopped cold. We almost had him Saint. Powermonger was

almost brought to justice and that sneaky snake got away. MAN! We were so close!

Saint: “I lost my power Aegis! I lost it because of that power hungry creep. He takes great

pleasure in doing just that. Right now, he's probably in his little castle having his little laughs

and also having his little fun. I tell you Aegis, Powermonger was stopped! His smuggling

operation on Earth was destroyed. He's finished!

Aegis: “Not quite.”

Saint: “What do you mean?”

Aegis: “It means that Powermonger is up for a MUCH bigger plan. That little smuggling

operation was used as a front to misguide us. He used the law to his advantage against you

Saint. That's why you were forced to give up your power. Powermonger won the battle, but

not yet the war.”

Saint: “You mean to tell me that Powermonger is still out there?”

Aegis: “That's what I been trying to tell you. I understand that you're angry over the events of

what happened to you, but that's in the past. Don't let it get to you.”

Saint: “And what is Powermonger's little plan?”

Aegis: “Not completely sure. But according to a source, it goes something like this.....

Just before Aegis could complete what he wanted to say, the front window of the bar has

shattered. Three people have just arrived. They are; Skulk, Hijack, and their boss Sly Drury.

Aegis: “State your business and leave Drury! You and your kind are not welcome here.”

Sly Drury (Mocking): “Oh please excuse me. We walked into the wrong place. Doesn't matter.

We found what we were looking for. Prepare to fall Aegis.”

The Saint who was sitting at his table suddenly leaped up out of his chair and rushed to the

side of Aegis.

Saint: “If it's a fight you want Sly. Then it's a fight you'll get!”

Sly Drury: “Now now little boys. It's not me personally that's going to take you out, it's them

(Sly pointing at Skulk and Hijack). Boys, TAKE 'EM!”

A wild brawl has taken place where Skulk and Hijack has jumped on our two heros. Sly Drury

just watched the action and quietly slipped into the back room of the bar.

Skulk & Hijack vs. Aegis & The Saint

Notes: The brawl was tough and violent and the outcome was gruesome. With Aegis having

Saint's back, the brawl was finally over when Aegis hit Skulk with the RAMPART'S REVENGE. 

Aegis then grabbed Skulk by the collar of his gear and questioned him.

Aegis: “Who sent you? I SAID WHO SENT YOU!?”

With a weakened voice, Skulk could only utter one word before passing out.

Skulk: “POWERMONGER!”

Saint: “So that jerk Sly is on the payroll now? Where is he Aegis?”

Aegis: “I think he slipped in the back room of this place.”

But before Aegis and The Saint could do anything, Sly Drury rushed out of the back room

carrying a small package under his arm. Sly was now at the bar's entrance.

Sly Drury: “Nice try boys. The Shadowclan did their little job in distracting you long enough for

me to get what I was looking for. So see ya, wouldn't want to be ya.”

Sly Drury pressed a button on a hand held device and dissapeared along with Skulk and Hijack 

leaving Aegis and The Saint alone in the bar.

Aegis: “That creep was sent in to take us out and somehow Powermonger is behind all of this.

I'm telling you Saint, something big is going down. And you're the prime target. Are you with

me now?”

Saint: “I'm in. But we're not safe here. Let's go to base and find get more information on what

Powermonger is up to and why that I'M a prime target.”

Aegis: “Agreed. I'll pay for the damages done here and then we'll both get to the bottom of

what's going on with Powermonger.”

With the assault plan stopped, Sly Drury has gotten away with a package of some kind. But

what is it? And what does Sly intend to do with it? Stay tuned.

The Brutality of Thor Massive....

                                          

 Setting: Alcatraz Island      Location: Earth

It was on a nice day that Aegis and The Saint went to Alcatraz Island in an attempt to recruit

Thor Massive to their ranks.

Aegis: “Okay Saint. Wait right here and keep hidden until I return. I'm going to try and get

Thor to join us.”

Saint: “It's not going to work Aegis. Thor hates my guts because it was I who put him here in

the first place. He won't join us.”

Aegis: “With what's at stake, he might.”

Aegis waited in the main hall until a huge gate opened. Thor Massive was brought out by two

guards until he came face to face with Aegis.

Thor Massive: “So you're here to pick me up huh?”

Aegis: “That's right.”

Thor Massive: “Why?”

Aegis: “We need your assistance.”

Thor Massive: “I'll think about it while I'm taking that ride to the main city.”

Aegis: “Fine. Hop aboard.”

Thor got aboard the boat while it carried them to the San Francisco harbor. After they all got

off, Thor turned around and saw that The Saint was with them. Thor got angry and it didn't

look very good for our heros.

Thor Massive: “You're working with him (pointing at saint) Aegis!? NO DEAL!.”

Aegis: “You are taking this the wrong way man.”

Thor Massive: “It was that clod saint who got me here in the first place. I'm going to tear him

up!

Aegis: “Chill down Thor. You're going at this all wrong.”

Thor Massive: “Alright. Since you are in it with him, I'm going to have to teach someone a

lesson. Who's it going to be? You or Saint?”

Aegis: Since it is I who tried to make a deal with you to join, I will take you on to beat some

sense in your thick head!

Thor Massive vs. Aegis

Notes: Aegis was doing well until Thor grew to his massive size. Thor defeated Aegis with

COME GET SOME. After the battle, Thor continued to address Saint and Aegis.

Thor Massive: “Don't get me wrong, I respect you for who you are and what you stand for

Aegis. But I will not side with anyone who's with Saint.”

Saint: “Then at least tell us who got you released.”

Thor Massive: “First of all, Thor comes and goes where he pleases. But since Aegis gave me

a great battle, I'll tell ya. It was Powermonger.”

Saint: “WHAT?”

Thor Massive: “Don't get me wrong. I'm not against Aegis or anything. That was business.

Nor am I completely against you either even though you put me behind bars. And as far as

Powermonger is concerned, I have no beef with him and I personally thank him for getting me

out of prison, but Thor Massive joins who he wants to join. And there's no two ways about it.”

Saint: “Something big is coming down and somehow Powermonger has an interest in you.”

Thor Massive: “Whatever Saint! If Powermonger wants me to join, then his offer better be

good or I'll trash him like I did to Aegis. And if the so-called heros want me, then you BETTER

be out of the picture!

Saint: “You're not going to beat Powermonger that easy. Many who have who tried have

suffered a terrible fate.”

Thor Massive: “Like I said, it's either my way or the highway. Besides all this trash talk, thanks

for the ride.”

Thor Massive left the area in his usual manner. 

Aegis and The Saint has failed in their plan to recruit Thor Massive to their ranks. And what

does Powermonger has to do with the release of Thor Massive? Stay tuned.

The Pact....

Setting: Powermonger's Stronghold         Location: Unknown

It was at Powermonger's stronghold where Sly Drury has found what Powermonger was looking for. An impressed Powermonger addressed him.

Powermonger: “So you found what I was looking for?”

Sly Drury: “Yes sir. Just as you requested.”

Powermonger: “Excellent. But need I remind you that it wasn't a request.”

Is this the strange mineral that Powermonger is looking for?

Sly Drury: “Of course sir. My mistake.”

Powermonger: “Now who do you have before me in my chamber?”

Sly Drury: “The name is going to surprise you sir. It's Cordanus and Mensar.”

Powermonger: “Very well Sly. You may leave. How interesting. So what brings you here Mr. Cordanus? Are you still with the POW organization?”

Cordanus: “Don't know what you're talking about. I'm from 2110 and I happen to be chasing that dodger Magnus Colby who left my universe and time where he broke my laws. I'm here to track him and his band of illegal wrestlers down. Wrestling is banned where I'm from. And I am not fond of what you're doing as well.”

Powermonger (Mocking): “OH please excuse me Mr. President of the UFSP. Do you know where you are at? You're not in your own universe and time anymore. You are inside of my stronghold. A place that exists outside of known space and time. And you better address me a little better!”

Cordanus: “And what if I don't?”

Powermonger: “Then I present you a challenge.”

Cordanus: “Okay. My man Mensar against you. And the winner sets the agenda here. You can call it an alliance of sorts.”

Powermonger: “How quick you are to forget who's boss around here. Okay, let's do it like this. I'll accept the challenge, but I'm doing it MY way. It will be Mensar taking on a little something of my choice. If your guy beats mine, then I will gladly step aside and let you run things here as a token of your superior self. But if I win, then things will continue as they are. I admire your spunk Cordanus, but there is no way that you're simply going to walk into my empire and run things as you see fit. You must not only impress me, but earn my respect as well. Many people have been disposed in times past. So think carefully Cordanus. You're not among your little government now.”

After Cordanus and Mensar whispered about the challenge, they both turned to face Powermonger. Cordanus then gave his answer.

Cordanus: “Okay. We accept the challenge. Who will fight Mensar?”

Powermonger: “Mensar is quite an impressive figure. So I'm going to present him a challenge that is worthy of him. Let me introduce to you, my last line of defense and my main enforcer bodyguard.”

Powermonger presses a button on his throne chair and a door slides up. And out of that door came a very imposing figure. Cordanus could not believe what he has just seen. The massive creature was called End of Days. And he got the nod from his master Powermonger before facing Mensar in the imperial ring. Cordanus could only whisper to himself “We're Screwed”.

Mensar vs. End of Days

Notes: Mensar held his own for awhile by outsmarting the creature with some impressive moves of his own. But luck has finally run out on Mensar when the power advantage was just too much for him to handle. End of Days wins the battle and the challenge with

UNLIMITED POWER.

Powermonger: “Not bad Cordanus. Mensar lasted longer than most. A record ten minutes. Impressive.”

Cordanus: “So what's going to happen to us now that myself and Mensar have lost the challenge?”

Powermonger: “Usually those that fail my challenge would have met a horrible fate. But somehow, I was kind of impressed with how Mensar performed. You see, a lesson in respect had to be learned of who's boss around here. I tell you what Cordanus. You want wrestling banned and I want time compression. It's as simple as that. We both get what we want and then we go our seperate ways. Consider it your free pass since I don't give out many. I say a temporary alliance is in order. But remember this, don't betray me Cordanus or I will reconsider that horrible fate that was called off!”

Cordanus: “An alliance is in order. But don't threaten ME Powermonger! Once wrestling is banned in this universe and our little arrangement is done, then myself and Mensar will return where we come from.”

Powermonger: “Let's not turn a nice day into a stormy one shall we? Do we have a deal or not (holds out his hand).”

Cordanus: “We have a deal, but I'm not shaking that glowing hand. So PARDON me for not extending my hand. We may have an alliance, but even I'm not falling for that old trick.”

Powermonger (laughing): “Smart man. I like that. Then all is in order. Thank you for your time. Business have been concluded. You may leave now.”

Cordanus and Mensar left the inner chamber. 

Amanda the Relentless: “What's really going to happen to Cordanus and Mensar once the temporary alliance is over?”

Powermonger: “That's simple my dear. Cordanus and Mensar will indeed return back to their own universe and time, but it will be in a matching set of caskets. We just can't have another power man challenging my rule can we?”

And with evil laughter, an alliance of sorts have been formed. Can our heros get it together to combat the situation at hand? And more importantly, can Cordanus discover what Powermonger has in store for him and Mensar in time?

Time Compression Is At Hand....

Setting: Military Base     Location: Unknown Area on Earth

Our heros have made it back to their base of operations where they plan their next move.

The Saint: “How are we going to stop Powermonger from getting what he needs to power up

that wicked machine of his?”

Aegis: “That's easy. Stop Sly Drury at any cost.”

A door suddenly opened and in walks Pendragon who just happens to have Sly Drury with him.

Aegie: “That's amazing! How did you manage to pull it off?”

Pendragon: “It wasn't easy. I had to fight off a fella called Mensar and quickly catch Sly before he could activate his teleportation device.”

The Saint: “Mensar? Isn't he in the POW fighting in the octagon?”

Pendragon: “That isn't the same Mensar. This one came from an alternate universe and time period. When Future Shock arrived in the GWF, it triggered a series of events. The Cordanus and Mensar from that reality followed Future Shock to this universe and time period in an effort to bring them in. But Cordanus's space cruiser got lost and ended up at Powermonger's stronghold.

Aegis: “Are they dead?”

Pendragon: “No. Somehow, a deal of some kind has been reached.”

Aegis: “That's odd. Powermonger usually spares no one. He's up to something, that's for sure.”

Just then, an alarm has went off. It appears that someone has gotten past the front gates. Pendragon went to see what it was while Aegis and The Saint kept the room secured and put Sly Drury in the containment area. Pendragon encountered Skulk and Hijack at the entrance.

Pendragon: “You will go no further!”

Skulk: “Release Sly Drury at once!”

Pendragon: “Over my dead body!”

Hijack: “That can be arranged.”

Before the Shadowclan could double team Pendragon, an unknown figure came out of nowhere and jumped Hijack. The numbers were now even for this battle.

Pendragon vs. Skulk

Notes: Pendragon won this encounter with OVERTHROW.

Pendragon: “Who are you and why did you assist me?”

The figure removed his cloak to reveil that it was Avarice.

Avarice: “Simple. We may not be fond of one another, but I'm sure that we like Powermonger a lot less.”

Pendragon: “Agreed. Better together fighting Powermonger than ourselves.”

Just then, a beep sounded on Pendragon's radio. Aegis has just informed Pendragon that something was up with Sly who was now in a holding cell. Pendragon and Avarice quickly rushed back to the conference room.

Aegis: “I just found out that even though you captured Sly Drury, he somehow manage to teleport that strange mineral to Powermonger's stronghold right before you could grab him. I couldn't get anything else out of him. This doesn't look good.”

Right before Pendragon could respond, the view screen suddenly lit up and Powermonger's image could be seen.

Powermonger: “How right you are boys. It's definitely doesn't look good for any of you.”

The Saint: “What are you doing on a secure channel Powermonger? You're not invited here!”

Powermonger: “Come come now. You hurt my feelings dear boy. I'm only here to pass on a little message. Shame about Drury. Oh well, he served his part of the agreement.”

And without a trace, Sly Drury has disapeared.

Aegis: “Why you sorry little.....”

Powermonger: “Easy on the temper there. I only sent him back to where he came from. And no I didn't kill him. I should have for getting himself caught, but I didn't. Besides, I wouldn't waste my time on him since I have bigger things in store.”

Pendragon: “You pose no threat to me. I will personally bury you.”

Powermonger: “Yeah Yeah Yeah. I heard all of that before from those that are better competition. But you guys are in for a treat. Watch this.”

Powermonger presses a button and a visual image of Centra can be seen.

Avarice: “That's Centra! Are you going to destroy it?”

Powermonger: “Now now rich boy. I'm not that kind of person. With the mineral in my possession and the device at eighty percent power, I need a little something to test it on. So I say why not little Centra to get a dose of what I have in store for the rest of Earth when the device reaches full power. Time Compression is at hand and I shall be the ruler of all past, present, and future all rolled up into a single singularity with myself at it's very center. It's time for my little demonstration to begin.”

Powermonger pressed a button on the device. The machine hummed and a beam shot out and struck Centra. But to the surprise of everyone, there was no damage was done as

everything looked normal. But was it?

Pendragon: “What just happened here? Centra looks unharmed, but why does it look a little different?”

Powermonger: “Time Compression in all it's glory. That's just a taste of things to come. The next time will be Earth and the universe.”

The screen suddenly faded leaving our heros with more questions than answers. Powermonger has manage to put Centra in a state of Time Compression. Can our heros stop Powermonger before the device reaches full power and Earth and the rest of the universe is next?

Nice mix of characters and fun.
