Hey guys, fear not about the SPARKLE set coming down and the Second Realm Saints going up in place of them.
The SPARKLE set was not ready for release and the project closed in on the goal too quickly (not a bad thing).
The set is not going away, it will most likely see a later release when it is completed.
One thing I wanted to add to what @du5tin said about the game:
This game has all the non-essential moves removed from the cards - trimmed the fat and streamlined the characters. The movesets on these characters really defines the characters and how they fight. Instead of filling a game session with a lot of pointless die rolls, this game gets right down to the action and because of that, every match plays differently between the same two cards.
In CotG, Monolith will beat Mantis 9 times out of 10, but those two characters in IFC that difference will vary each time you fight the match - you never know who is going to win. There are fights that are over in one turn, and others that are 5 star classics that go back and forth.
Essentially, the IFC is a slim, trimmed beast that puts you right into the action and delivers surprising results with every turn.
