CHANGES COMING TO THE POINT SYSTEM EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
DAVID MARQUEZ: Effective immediately there will be a change to the National Wrestling Alliance's brand new point system, this change will only effect the National Wrestling Alliance and Shimmer Women Athletes. After a competitor earns their third point they will be given a choice. They can either challenge for the North American Championship in the NWA or the Heart of Shimmer Championship, or they choice to have a Non-Title Match with either the Worlds Heavyweight Championship or the Shimmer Championship. If the win that match the competitor will earn themselves an automatic Worlds Heavyweight or Shimmer Championships at the earliest possible date. The NWA Championship Committee hopes that change will increase the number of Worlds Heavyweight and Shimmer Championship defenses as so far members of both the NWA and Shimmer have been struggling so far to earn their fifth point.
Finally if either the North American or Heart of Shimmer Champions will be given the option of vacating the title and challenge for either the Worlds Heavyweight or Shimmer Championship after they have successfully defended their championship ten times. Once again the NWA Championship Committee hopes that this brand new development will increase both the number of championship defenses as well as the overall competition in both Shimmer and the National Wrestling Alliance.
