That looks like a great tournament....and, more surprisingly, a tourney the Road Warriors DIDN'T win!

Afterthoughts: This was a great weekend, and cool to see a kid like Gregory come in and do so well. He's like 8 years old or something and played well. TK swears he's never bringing him again cuz he beat up on dad throughout the day. ;D Some neat info from this year...it's now 2 years in a row that Thantos has won the KOTC belt for someone. Greg this year and Ray last year won it with him. Last year Jim Karantonis beat me like 3 times thru the day with Harley Race...Jim wasn't there this year, but I still got beat by Race once. Sabu beat me twice...with a TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT (+1 both times)...he was the new Race for me this year. This was our 7th'Corn, not counting Greg and Brian Barrow, both first timers, Don Jones was the only one there besides those 2 who hasn't won KOTC, and he's been to all 7 like myself and Poke. Ray, Don and myself stayed near Poke at the Econolodge...the 3 of us ran a tournament after the 'Corn. I didn't write down the results, but in the end I won the tournament with Troyboy who won with the RUMP THUMP. I dedicated it to Gary Atkinson, who I was friends with thru this game and even stayed with him and his son Broc and drove with them from Pittsburgh to G-Con a couple of years in a row. It was neat to use his own created character and win the tournament with him...RIP buddy, I miss you already.
That's it...hope you enjoy the results and if possible, try to make one of these 'Corns, they're small in numbers, but a blast to be a part of...can't wait til next year already.
---Eek

Another year of G'Corn is done. Every year it just keeps getting better and better. I want to thank everyone who made the trip to Omaha, it was a pleasure to have you all in my home. Watching Gregory develop as a game player over the day will be the thing I will most remember. He has been playing for such a short time, but by the end of the day, he was rolling like a pro. Ray and Patty made the long trip down and as always, it was great to see you two! Eek, Don, Thomas, you guys are the lifeblood of the 'corn. I can't wait until next year! Friday night kicked off with social time, dinner and an Legends Tag Tournament at the hotel. Saturday got off to a slow start, but was tons of fun. We did 4 tournaments and a Cibernetico to crown the champion. Two other guys that i want to give props to. Arik Cannon and Claudio Castagnoli. These guys are great people and true class acts. I worked with them on obtaining some shirts and autographed pictures to use as door prizes and tournament prizes. They took time out of thier busy schedules for the game. They truely belong in the legends of the future. Eek did a wonderful job making belts for the 'corn. The great thing about winning a title here, you take the thing home with you! Every year they keep getting better and better. Keep up the good work my friend. Here is the link to check out some photos that we took Saturday. they are posted at photobucket: s407.photobucket.com/albums/pp160/poke30/Mark your calandars for next October, Columbus Day Weekend, Galacticorn 2K9 is going to be off the hook. I have already begun work with a local wrestling federation for some live action. Any questions, drop me a line. Thank you all who participated and helped with making the 'Corn a fabulous memory. -- Poke
