This show is now being announced as Mystery Vortex III which means the matches won't be announced in advance.

Tonight for this show I managed to get a general admission ticket (likely sitting in the second row since I have friends in the first row who usually save me a seat behind them.)

Today is the day.
At Mystery Vortex II last year, Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett (PWG's current tag team champions) both made their PWG debuts and Cedric Alexander made his PWG in Reseda debut.
I wonder who might be making their PWG debut tonight?

I am back home in Las Vegas after attending this show in Reseda, California last night.
i drove there and back to the show with my friend Alex who works for PWG. It is always better to make these long drives with a friend than make them alone and Alex is awesome- I am very lucky to have him as a friend.
In addition to Alex, some other friends I got to see and talk to tonight included my friends Ryan and Mary (I got to sit with them both for the show as usual,) Alan, and Joe.
Tonight in the front row sat Sofia Vergara (from TV's Modern Family.) She sat between True Blood's Chris Bauer and her fiancee Joe Manganiello (he played Flash Thompson in the early and mid 2000s Spider Man movies and also plays Big Dick Dickie in the Magic Mike movies.)
Since this show was a Msytery Vortex, it meant that none of the wrestlers (let alone the matchups) were revealed in advance- but that did not stop PWG as usual from basically selling out the Legion Hall soon after tickets went on sale.
Match results from this show listed below:
Tommaso Ciampa defeated Johnny Gargano A great opener which immediately validated why I routinely make long drives (I sent about 11 of the past 24 hours behind the wheel) to attend PWG. I really like Ciampa's "Psycho Killer" entrance music.
World's Cutest Tag Team defeated Monster Mafia Since he is retiring next month, this was the final PWG match for Josh Alexander. Lots of "thank you Josh" chants. After the match, Ethan Page turned on Alexander.
Biff Busick defeated Timothy Thatcher. Although he had already been announced for BOLA in August, last night actually turned out to be Thatcher's official PWG debut. Unlike most matches in PWG where fans have to be on guard for the action spilling out of the ring with no guard rails, Thatcher's style led to the match being mat based without fans having to move out of the way. Thatcher definitely employs a different style than typically displayed in PWG, thankfully he was well received by the crowd with "please come back" chants and rightfully so. Looking forward to seeing more of Timothy Thatcher in PWG!
PWG World Champion Roderick Strong defeated Speedball Mike Bailey An excellent match- at times I briefly thought the underdog Bailey might actually win. At one point the action spilled outside of the ring toward Sofia Vergara. But unlike some fans who last night were literally knocked down in their seats during the night, she was smart and ran out of the way in time. This really was a great match, but Roddy retained.
At Intermission, (since I signed him to the game last August back at BOLA 2014,) I got to give Zack Sabre Jr. copies of his EVOLVE card sent to me from Filsinger Games HQ. Zack Sabre Jr.looked over his card and he said he thought his stats (written by Ricky) were good and he told me he is happy to be included in the game. In addition, I got my copy of Zack Sabre Jr.'s card signed by him and, although I do not usually ask wrestles for pictures, I also got a picture taken with Zack Sabre Jr.
Brian Cage defeated Johnny Silver in a power-based matchup.
Chris Hero defeated Zack Sabre Jr. During this match, Hero cut his finger and there was alot of blood spilled. earlier this month I mentioned how cool it was how Hero wore Sonics styled gear in his EVOLVE 43 match against Trevor Lee. Hero tonight wore Chicago Bulls styled gear (I didn't notice it, but someone in the crowd told me last month at PWG's DDT4 that Hero was wearing Phoenix Suns styled gear.)
The main event started with PWG World Tag Team Champions Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett (both of whom made their surprise PWG debuts at last year's Mystery Vortex II) saying they were going to wrestle each other. But then the Young Bucks suddenly made their surprise PWG return (earlier this week on social media the Bucks indicated they would be staying in Japan for awhile.)
Young Bucks defeated Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett to win the PWG World Tag Team Championship for the 4th time.
The Bucks won partially thanks to interference from Roderick Strong. Joey Ryan and Candice Lerae (who last month lost the PWG World Tag Team Championship due to Strong's interference) then tried to go after Strong but he and the Bucks put them away as they did Gargano who appeared after Candice was attacked. The lights were flickring and then went out. When they went back on, Super Dragon was back in a PWG ring for the first time since early 2012! But instead of attacking Strong and the Bucks, Super Dragon joined them and revealed a Mt. Rushmore 2.0 shirt!
The new Mt. Rushmore then also took out guys like Johnny Silver, Biff Busick, and even Excalibur himself! One stupid fan who has a tendency to try and start idiotic chants said something stupid about Super Dragon. Super Dragon however left the ring and went into the crowd and confronted that fan who wisely chose not to try and repeat that stupid chant a second time.
Afterward, the Young Bucks of the new Mt. Rushmore quickly basically sold out of their t-shirts for Mt Rushmore 2.0. After the show ended, I got to give Roderick Strong copies of his new EVOLVE card and he signed my copy. I also got to give Excalibur copies of his new card released earlier this month and he signed my copy. Excalibur asked me what I thought of last night's show. I told him I though it was awesome and he agreed. Mystery Vortex III: Rock and Shock the Nation was definitely aptly named- one of my favorite PWG shows of all time!

I saw Gargano vs Ciampa last weekend for my local Buffalo company, ESW. it was so good, and I also enjoyed Tommaso's Psycho Killer entrance.
