Now that a few people have received their sets in the mail, just wondering... What are your initial thoughts? In your opinion, how does it stack up against the initial EVOLVE set? Did the cards exceed/meet/fall short of your expectations?
A few questions I have to ask those that received hard copies of the set (got mine for online)...
Chris Hero is missing a (lv) option on his Level 3 Defense? Is it safe to say that this is a misprint and he is supposed to have one here? Since he only has a single down-3, it will be easy to figure out where it goes...
Also, I noticed that absolutely no one has a -3 add 1 move anywhere on their card... I'm only asking because in the past I have found minor discrepancies between the printed cards and those online...
Stat wise, I've found that all the cards in this set have really gone back to the stripped down roots of the game (no mechanics to speak of, other than Strong's final finisher)... Guessing that time will tell how this will impact their performances...
Looking forward to hearing what others think... Thanks!

Same on printed cards Hero doesn't have a leave option No add 1 moves for anyone I like that Hero doesn't have any mechanics for his finisher, he was always missing his finisher.

I'll be using Drew Galloway first of the new set and that'll be cool, so that sample will be a nice start in using these cards and where it could lead the new batch of wrestlers. I like mechanics on cards, but I do like that there are none either. Looking over the cards, I'm happy with this set and it to me elevates the first set, but we'll see months from now where the new cards rank with the 1st EVOLVE set...

Great hearing some initial opinions... I think PJ Black and will be the first card that gets introduced into my own fed (but, that remains somewhat up in the air)... I really like Strong's update (especially, the artwork), so it probably won't be too long before I start using it in place of his original ROH card... Chris Hero's update will be a long time comin' in my fed though... I haven't even intoduced his ROH card into my fed yet and I'd really like to get some use out of it before switching to the update...
Thanks for commenting... Look forward to hearing more...

No add 1 moves for anyone don't forget about SoCal Val's Add 1 on her distraction chart on rolls of 2-3 I got my set today and I like overall how the stats came out, but I am frustrated at myself for the typos I either initially caused on my submitted drafts for Roderick Strong and SoCal Val or didn't catch later during the editing process. I usually don't make errors like this (I believe the CZW set I did earlier this year was error free) and people on the board here are being really cool about it, but I am still hoping for a reprinted Roderick Strong (I think having the finisher named correctly is very important) and I am absolutely willing to pay for the reprint.

PJ Black lives in the air. I've been listening to Talk is Jericho at work and when he said he wanted AJ Styles I gave him AJ Styles.

SoCal Val's manager chart is perhaps one of the best in the game, IMO... Very creative! I'm not worried about the typos at all... Even with Chris Hero's missing (lv) option, it is very easy to remember things such as this when playing... I also love the stats on the cards... I only asked about the 'add 1' moves to make sure there wasn't anything missing in the online versions - From time to time, I know that the online cards have errors that are not present on the hard copies (i.e. Wolf's SUBVERSION 2122 card - but that's a topic for a different thread)... Thank you for all the hard work that was put into making this set happen... I've already got a lot of plans for these new talents... In fact, PJ Black should be making his first appearance in my OutBreak fed very soon...

Chris Hero only has 1 down-3 on level 3 defense, so there's your (lv) option... SoCal Val is a simple fix as well, as I'm assuming the 7-9 roll was meant to read 8-9... As for Strong, I might actually incorporate the typo as part of his gimmick, maybe something along the lines of ROH not allowing him to use the name outside of the promotion? Regardless, don't sweat it Vegas...stats look great, and once again, Werner crushed it with the artwork!
