The cards do a very nice job of "capturing" the ROH style. The intro set handbook gives a good overview of each card at that time, as well as a description of their big moves. Obviously seeing the moves makes it easier. Some moves are very difficult to describe.
The future 6 pack or expansion sets do not come with a handbook, but this board has brief description of each wrestler.
LOW is my favorite FG game by far, but the ROH, Evolve, and Shimmer sets are my favorite. The Indy sets as a whole are well done.

You should have a blast with the set. In my opinion it is the strongest set from top to bottom. Not one card that I was "meh" about. Also a nice touch is the chart for the Honor hand shake at the start and end of matches.

It's great seeing another promoter doing the Indy stuff and the ROH (I tried my own ROH fed and that fed style was not my thing, so my focus years later went to EVOLVE) roster of cards are solid and you'll have fun I'm sure running your own Ring of Honor...

You're welcome. I know what it's like not knowing who's on what side (CZW for instance)

Well, I took the plunge yesterday and purchased the ROH starter box. I can't wait to get the cards and get started. Although I am a casual ROH fan at best, I'm really stoked to get this set. Was watching ROH matches on youtube (to kinda get me caught up on the wrestlers/style of wrestling in ROH). I'm amazed at the athletic ability of the guys in ROH. This should be fun! ROH and EVOLVE are arguably the best products put out by FG. Congrats on your purchase, and elite taste in wrestling RPG's. You'll love them all.

Okay, more now, Elgin heel (at that point) Ciampa heel, Lethal face (at that point) Edwards and Richards were feuding at that point but not sure if either was more face or heel. Bucks heels, Bennett heel, Mondo heel, not sure what Homicide was at that point, Rhino I think was a heel but could be played either way. If my memory serves, wasn't Rhino a member of the House of Truth at the time the initial set was released? Seems like forever ago. The initial 24 were : S.C.U.M. (Heels) Corino Jacobs Steen HOUSE OF TRUTH (Heels) Elgin Martini Rhino? Strong YOUNG BUCKS (Were they heels at this point? Can't remember) Matt & Nick Jackson C & C WRESTLE FACTORY (Faces) Alexander Coleman WGTT (Heels) Benjamin Haas BRISCOES (Faces) Jay & Mark Homicide (Can't recall) Edwards (More of the "face" in the Richards' feud) Richards (See above) Mondo (Heel) Ciampa (Heel) Generico (Face) Lethal (Face) Bennett (Heel) Cole (Can't recall) I always found Steen & Strong to be the "powerhouse" cards, with Richards not far behind. Fitting, as they, along with Edwards, were probably the top 4 contenders to the ROH World title at that point. Surprisingly, it always ended up that the WGTT were just as successful as the Briscoes for me, with the Young Bucks being sadly under-powered compared to those teams and C & C Wrestle Factory almost never winning a match for me. Still the FG set that made me the happiest when it was announced & in my book, will always be the biggest promotion Tom & the FG gang ever got to sign on the dotted line! You will NOT be disappointed!

I think Cole and O'Reilly were faces at that point.

I think the initial set was released after Richards was teaming with O'Reilly & Edwards was teaming with Cole following the breakup of the Wolves. Once again giving a lot of credit to my memory...
