A recent board discussion reminded me of something I've wanted to ask fellow promoter's for a while: How much does feedback affect your fed? Do you book rigidly and stick with your plans or do reader comments hold any sway?
Depending on what I have going, I have occasionally given the fans what they wanted so to speak. If someone likes a particular story or feud, I have put a little more of a spotlight on it by fleshing it out more or returning to it more frequently. I've even kept wrestlers on my roster longer than intended because they were getting a good reaction.
Overall, I have a firm outline for my booking but their is definitely room to roll with reader response if it suits me.
How about everyone else?

I have in the past and have plans for my EVOLVE Wrestling to have my fellow promoters VOTE on what'll be on a card. I recently added my #evolvesbookitgabe to use as a possible option to give the readers a match they want to see. Example is several wanted to see Johnny Gargano vs. AR Fox and so I booked it for #evolvesbookitgabe. I enjoy the feedback for sure and will add it from time to time to my storylines, but also stick with my booking...

Well, I think you know my answer... I'd say less than twenty percent of my stuff is based on firm planning... The rest is all dependent on reader reactions and complete spontaneity... At times, I literally just start typing away with absolutely no preconceived notion of where I am headed... And if something draws a huge response from those reading my fed (as witnessed in a certain recent situation), you can bet I'm gonna put alot more effort into developing that particular storyline... This community rocks! Plain and simple... And feedback from other players is a key component in my inspiration...

I pretty much do things according to my own (sinister) plan(s), but when people comment about favorite matches or wrestlers I'll try to do more with them.
Not to shamelessly pander to the audience, but I love getting feedback.

I usually sit around and stim matches at random for now that I'd want to see then cut and paste it here. I love it when I log in and see likes on my stuff. I'm about either Start a new fed or just do a bunch of Major Events Like TNAs One Night Only but make them 3 or 4 nights, super tournaments, stable wars/team Xcup, king of trios, lethal lottery.

I plan everything out but I do listen to the feedback and often book rematches or first time matches based on the suggestions. This is a great community we have here and I always pay attention to the feedback given for my fed and try to do the same for others. I know it makes me feel good whenever someone enjoys what I am putting out there.

I love feedback and likes, and seeing how I book mostly based on wins and losses, plus the odd story line. I do find I have the creative freedom to change this up if people start to like a certain angle. Plus the dice really do have the final say when it comes to my postings.
Take Roddy Piper for an example. Here was a one and done match in my fed and Piper just keeps popping up. He just can't leave the NWA with unfinished business, and that Business revolves around him getting back the Worlds Championship and eliminating The Dark Menace from the NWA. So I have the feeling that good old "Hot Rod" will be popping up for a LONG while in my fed. Especially considering he only has one victory in all of his appearances since I rebooted. Not too shabby for a guy who was considered a One and Done talent for me at the time. Plus he's been getting a HUGE reaction from my readers.

While reading some of my favorite feds today, I realized something else... Not only does feedback on my own fed have a big impact on how I book... I find I'm also influenced by comments posted in the feds of others as well... If I notice something that gets a really positive response elsewhere, I might try something similar in my own fed - Whether it involves a certain angle, special event idea or even a way to improve presentation... So... If you read someone's fed and think they're doing a great job, let them know... And if you have an extra moment, tell them why.

Like and appreciate any comments I get on my fed. Don't know how much it affects my booking, though, because I'm usually behind in filing my reports (although I'm slowly catching up), so what you are reading now might have been done a month or more ago. I do occasionally get ideas while reading many of the other fine feds posted on the site. There are a lot of clever and creative people involved with LOW!
