----The
IP XX title 8-Woman Championship Scramble is our next match. Two competitors start thing off before a new competitor enters every 3 minutes (15 off/def moves). Competitors are eliminated by pinball, submission, count-out, or disqualification.
Order of Competitor Entry: Jessica James; Tessa Blanchard; Delilah Doom; Barbi Hayden; Kay Lee Ray; Vanessa Kraven (c); 'Crazy' Mary Dobson; Angelus Layne
Order of Elimination: Delilah Doom (via pinfall by Tessa Blanchard); Jessica James (via pinfall by Kay Lee Ray); Kay Lee Ray (via pinfall by Tessa Blanchard); Tessa Blanchard (via pinfall by Barbi Hayden); Angelus Layne (via pinfall by Mary Dobson); Mary Dobson (via pinfall by Barbi Hayden); Vanessa Kraven (via count-out by Barbi Hayden)
New Champion: Barbi HaydenMatch Notes: Jessica James and Tessa Blanchard squared off right out of the gate but it wasn't until we had five competitors in the ring that we got our first elimination. Jessica had just hit Tessa with the JJ KICK and was going for the cover when Kay Lee Ray broke up the pin with the SWANTON BOMB and ended up pinning Jessica!! However, KLR turned around right into the DOUBLE KNEE FACEBREAKER and was eliminated by Tessa.
KLR and Tessa started jawing at each other as KLR was on the outside. A distracted Tessa turned right around into the HAYDEN HALO for the elimination. At this point, half the entrants had been eliminated with Layne and Dobson squaring off. These two tore the house down and blasting each other with big moves before Angelus misses a Cannonball into the Corner that allows Mary to hit the KAIJU KILLER for the elimination.
Vanessa Kraven went to work on Mary Dobson before hitting Dobson w/ the SIT-OUT POWERBOMB but Barbi breaks up the pin attempt with a Running High Knee Strike on Kraven. Barbi dumps Vanessa to the floor before dropping Mary w/ the HAYDEN HALO for the elimination. And then there were two....two old foes who despise each other and have for a long time in this neck of the FG universe! Hayden starts raining knees down on the back of Vanessa's head before picking the champ up and posting her into the ring post. Barbi drops Vanessa on the floor with the HAYDEN HALO and Vanessa is unable to make it back in the ring to beat the 20-count; giving Barbi the win and the title!
----For the
IP tag titles,
Dem Boyz retain over the
Hardy Boyz in a great match. The Briscoe Boys riled the crowd up in their usual fashion, wearing
'Beto O'Rourke' t-shirts before ripping them off to show the crowd they were wearing
'Ted Cruz For Senate' t-shirts underneath. This put the crowd firmly in the Hardy's corner for the remainder of the match.
Matt/Jeff controlled early as Jay/Mark taunted the crowd which caused them to get distracted. The Hardy's ran through their moveset; hitting Jay and Mark w/ the SWANTON BOMB and TWIST OF FATE but the champs kept kicking out. The match turned after Mark shoved Jeff off the turnbuckle on another finisher attempt. The match goes outside the ring where they post Jeff and hit Matt with a Double Flapjack onto the security railing.
Back in the ring, the champs hit Jeff w/ the DOOMSDAY DEVICE for the finish. Afterwards, the crowd came unglued as
Vinny Marseglia & TK O'Ryan (known in IP as the
Horror Kings) hit the ring and hit both Briscoes w/ the MELVIN MAKER before security can intervene.
----Our
Main Event featured
Lance Hoyt defending the
TRADITION Championship against
AJ Styles in a
No DQ match. It's common knowledge that these two don't like each other for what happened during our last show many moons ago and Hoyt has been itching to get revenge. However, Hoyt's attitude has changed over the time between these two shows and no longer seems to be interested in being the standard bearer for
Inspire Pro.
Lance jumps AJ before the bell and starts to extract his pound of flesh. AJ takes a beating but survives several pin attempts after Hoyt drops him with a F'n Slam and a Running Big Boot. AJ ducks a second Big Boot and delivers a Pele Kick right to Lance's face to start his own momentum. AJ hits a huge, jaw dropping Phenomenal DDT off of a death jump attempt for a close near fall and locks in multiple Calf Killers as Lance inches to the ropes; only for AJ to break the hold, pull Lance back to the center of the ring, and re-apply the hold.
Lance is finally able to break the hold but is hobbling in a bad way. The two tussle before AJ sends Lance careening into the turnbuckle. AJ charges Lance but Hoyt pulls the referee in the way, causing the ref to get sandwiched between the two! Lance goes to the floor and stacks two tables on top of each other before AJ catches Lance with a Flying Forearm that knocks Lance into the railing. Back in the ring, AJ tries to lift Lance for a Rack Bomb but during the melee outside the ring, Lance has grabbed his title and uses it to belt AJ!
Lance signals to the back and out comes his
HHH stable mates,
Barbi Hayden & Charlie Haas! They try to drop AJ though the tables with a Triple BLACKOUT but AJ slips out and hits a running Cross Body that sends all four to the floor. AJ hauls Lance over to the ring apron, setting him up for an attempt at the STYLES CLASH through the tables but AJ gets blasted from behind by Haas with a belt shot! They haul AJ up for the BLACKOUT through both tables at ringside before Barbi wakes the ref up to make the three count.
