On a new laptop. I go through quite a few of these. So far, unable to retrieve my files from my old one to save my old promotion.
Going to start a new venture here. Going back to 2087, playing out the year with round robin tournaments to declare VX Cup Winners in Three-Man Tag, Tag and Singles rosters.
All matches are no-time limit and no disqualification. Managers and valets are allowed at ringside for the purposes of allowing wrestlers to perform certain moves like the Backside Beheading but there will be no interference and no distractions rolled.
Seedings will be determined by Pin rating then agility power ratings and then chart ratings and finally finisher ratings. Tag teams and three-man teams will be determined by official rosters and officially listed allies. For example, in 2087 Comrade Terror and Executioner are not listed as allies with each other so there will be no Henchmen and no Thantos and the Henchmen in 2087. That will happen in 2088 since they are officially listed as a unit.
In tag matches, each team will receive 2 pin saves.

THE FEDERATION DEFENSE FIGHTERS VS THE SOCIETY OF DEATH With only four teams in the tournament, each team just gets three matches so every match was a big deal! Krakan's team came out first and the fans really let them have it. The hatred for the SOD was astronomical. The attack and scarring of Dragonfighter (now known as Pit Viper) was fresh on everyone's mind and they let the SOD know about it. All the boos made Krakan happy, Khan nonchalnt and Mutant oblivious.
The place erupted when the FDF came out. The top stable in the GWF in the eyes of the fans. It was decided that the three senior members would represent the team this year, leaving Massif out this time.
The match began interestingly with Omega and Ghengis Khan starting out for their respective teams. After each man made a tag, the SOD went to work on Commander Sam before Sam turned it around on Mutant outside the ring. Sam followed up with a running slingshot and a 2 count on Mutant. The FDF isolated Mutant for several moments at that point before Mutant turned it around on Omega. Omega then took a pounding from the SOD for several moves before getting an arm bar on Krakan and then tagging out. Sam came right in with Sam's Slam and a cover on Krakan for a 1 count. However, the SOD would be back in the offense quickly again with Omega on the receiving end once again. Khan hit Omega with the TWIN THRUST and just missed getting the three count. Omega would hold on and make a defensive tag to Sam to escape. The action went back and forth for a bit before the FDF got Mutant into trouble. Star Warrior hit the Running Star Blast and covered Mutant and just missed getting the three count. Omega tagged in and gave Mutant the TOMAHAWK THRUST and made the cover and scored the 3 count as Star Warrior and Commander Sam prevented the save from Krakan and Khan. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE FEDERATION DEFENSE FIGHTERS

THE FIGHTING TITANS VS THE EVIL ONES The second match of the opening round then came to fruition. Exo-King led his team to the ring first. The fans gave the Evil Ones grief, calling them cheaters and robots and really getting on to Killer Queen about his appearance. The fans then began to boisterously cheer their sentimental favorites as the Flying Titans came to the ring.
Pulsar chose to start for the Titans while Exo-King began the match for the Evil Ones. The mismatch in power quickly turned the advantage to Exo-King and the Evil Ones but Pulsar escaped trouble with a quick defensive tag to Lord Nexus. It was then Killer Queen at the mercy of the Titans but he turned it around against Pulsar. The Evil Ones isolated Pulsar and Death Knight hit him with a reverse knife-edge and made the cover and just missed getting the three count. Killer Queen tagged in and applied the CHECKMATE and just missed getting the submission. A couple of tags later and again Pulsar was in the CHECKMATE and he tapped out as King and Knight prevented Nexus and Pit Viper from making the save. WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE EVIL ONES

STANDINGS AFTER ROUND ONE THE FEDERATION DEFENSE FIGHTERS 1-0 THE EVIL ONES 1-0 THE FLYING TITANS 0-1 THE SOCIETY OF DEATH 0-1
ROUND TWO THE FLYING TITANS 0-1 VS THE SOCIETY OF DEATH 0-1 THE FEDERATION DEFENSE FIGHTERS 1-0 VS THE EVIL ONES 1-0
Do-or-die between the Titans and the SOD as the loser is completely eliminated from having any chance to win the Cup. Depending on the outcome of the first match, the winner of the FDF-Evil Ones match could end up clinching the Cup before Round Three even begins. If the SOD and the FDF both win, the FDF clinched the Cup. On the other hand, if both the Titans and Evil Ones are victorious, the Evil Ones will have clinched the Cup.

Would like to see the Evil Ones and SoD each won their second round contests... If for no other reason than to keep this competition alive... Really think Exo-King and Co. have an excellent shot at taking this thing...

THE FLYING TITANS (0-1) VS THE SOCIETY OF DEATH (0-1) The intensity of this rivalry picked up even more in this clash as the loser would be eliminated from having any shot at being the 2087 VX Cup Champions. Krakan led his team out first and did not even spend any time trying to antagonize fans as he and the Society of Death kept all their focus on the task at hand. In a complete contrast, the Flying Titans looked even more to the crowd to get them pumped up and to energize themselves for this huge match.
Surprisingly, considering what was at stake, Pit Viper began the match for his team while Krakan took no chances and started off for his team. Viper got the early advantage but then the SOD turned on the offense against Lord Nexus. Then it was Pulsar's turn to be in trouble as the SOD went after the rookie. After a few moments of this, Pulsar made a defensive tag to Pit Viper but Viper was quickly in trouble thanks to Mutant having the advantage in power here. Mutant caught Pit Viper in the TEMPLE GRINDER but could not make him submit. The SOD continued to work over Pit Viper and then Krakan gave him the FALLING FACE SLAM but could only get a 1 count. Ghengis Khan would hit Viper with a shoulder chop and it looked like it was over but Lord Nexus made the pin save. Krakan gave Viper a skullcrusher out of the ring but there is no countouts so the match continued. Viper was then able to turn the match around on Mutant outside the ring and finally tag out to Lord Nexus. Nexus immediately gave Mutant the TITAN DROP for a one count. Pulsar then gave Mutant a flying leg scissors and went to the pin. Ghengis Khan came in for the save. Pit Viper came in to stop him. The ref put Viper back in his corner, allowing Khan to drop an elbow on Pulsar and put Mutant on top of Pulsar for the cover and a 2 count. The SOD focused on Pulsar but he then used his agility advantage to turn it around on Khan. Lord Nexus would it Khan with a reverse knife-edge and make the cover for a 1 count. Khan would then make a defensive tag to Krakan. Lord Nexus then would use his agility to get the advantage on Mutant. Nexus nailed Mutant with a karate chop and made the cover but just got a 1 count. Pulsar tagged in and gave Mutant the Titan Drop but he also could just get a 1 count. Mutant then took a long beating. Pit Viper looked to end it with the VENOM BLAST but Khan made the save and Viper tossed him out of the ring. Mutant then turned it around on Viper with an out of the ring brawl. Krakan hit Viper with a knife-edge and scored a 1 count. Khan then applied the Khan Nerve Pinch and then all six wrestlers were in the ring brawling with the Titans winning the brawl Khan made a defensive tag but Pulsar got the advantage on Krakan. The Titans hit Krakan with everything they had and Nexus executed the TITAN DROP for a 1 count. Krakan came back on Pulsar then Pulsar made a defensive tag while Mutant was in the ring. Pulsar would come back in and give Mutant the Titan Drop and get the 3 count to finally end this hellacious bout and leave the fans going crazy! WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE FLYING TITANS
