EXO-KING VS DEATH KNIGHT What an interesting way to start off the VX Cup. Exo-King shows no mercy to his teammate as he totally dominates move after move. The King Power slam just misses scoring the three count. Exo-King follows up with the DEATH VISE but can not get the submission. Exo-King follows that up with a reverse backbreaker and still can't finisb off Death Knight. Finally one more King Power slam finishes off Death Knight. WINNER OF THE MATCH: EXO-KING

PROTEUS VS PULSAR Proteus went after Pulsar right away and executed the OVERHEAD TOSS for a one count. A second OVERHEAD TOSS got a 2 count. Pulsar managed to counter a deathjump and score a 1 count on Proteus. Proteus came back with another OVERHEAD TOSS and for the third time in this match Pulsar kicked out. Pulsar got the advantage again but Proteus countered a deathjump and finally got the 3 count. WINNER OF THE MATCH: PROTEUS

RENEGADE VS OMEGA Renegade dominated the early going but Omega came back with the TOMAHAWK THRUST for a 2 count. A karate chop from Omega scored another two count. Omega then got a 1 count with a cosmic war dance. Omega followed that up with another TOMAHAWK THRUST and just missed getting the three count. Renegade rallied and gave Omega a shoulder breaker and covered for a 2 count. Renegade then applied the SPINECRACKER and Omega had to submit. WINNER OF THE MATCH: RENEGADE

INVINCIBLE KRAKAN VS BEAST-RIDER Krakan was none too pleased to be in the Qualifying Round and had even gone so far as to insinuate that perhaps Thantos had put him there in hopes to avoid him. Highly unlikely considering the Top Eight would advance to the Cup. The early going was all Beast-Rider although it appeared that Krakan was just waiting for his moment to strike. And sure enough, he hit the Krakan Skullcrusher and got a 2 count. Beast-Rider would counter a deathjump and score a 1 count. Beast-Rider followed up with the Cropper Slam and just missed pulling off the upset. Beast-Rider continued to dominate most of the action before Krakan came back with a top rope clothesline to get the three count. WINNER OF THE MATCH: INVINCIBLE KRAKAN

Highly doubtful that Beast-Rider alone will have the upset power that he and Renegade had during the tag team cup tourney...
I imagine that Krakan is a lock to go through the qualifying rounds... Same for Exo-King and Massacre... The remaining five spots are a bit more difficult... I'll go with Renegade, Pit Viper, Executioner, Killer Queen and Commander Sam...

MASSACRE VS GHENGIS KHAN With two men known more for tag team specialty, this was a very interesting showdown. Khan got in a little offense but Massacre hit the DECAPITATOR and scored the pin rather easily. WINNER OF THE MATCH: MASSACRE

KILLER QUEEN VS MUTANT A very interesting clash of styles between these two villains. Mutant locks on the TEMPLE GRINDER but can't get the submission. Mutant gives Queen a DDT on the floor outside the ring. Mutant goes back to the TEMPLE GRINDER but still can't finish off Queen. Queen comes back with the CHECKMATE and Mutant submits. WINNER OF THE MATCH: KILLER QUEEN
