Thanks, Pariah!
Yes, the Playa's Club is my team name for Bennett and Taven. Originally, it was a three-man group that also included Ethan Page, with Page and Bennett as the team and Taven as the singles wrestler. With Page drafted to NWA: Intensity, I shuffled the tag team and kept the name. It's yours if you'd like to use it.
Nigel McGuinness will definitely have something to say about the Bucks vs. Briscoes breakdown; maybe some time off will give the Brothers Jackson a chance to refocus themselves on their craft... (coughNEWCARDScough)
As always, thank you for your comments, and to you and Powermonger for liking my post. Look for the latest from NWA: Evolution tomorrow, and a pair of NWA: Chikara cards this weekend.

Thinking I'm going to use something for Taven & Bennett that incorporates the cross they use as a sigil... Not sure what yet, but gotta few storms brewin'... Every fed should have a 'CLUB' of some kind on their roster... Mine is on the way very soon... And it WILL feature AJ Styles... But, it WILL NOT have butterfly wings...

NWA: Evoluttion Hollywood, California July 24, 2015 Johnny Gargano vs. Cedric the Hitman (with Stu Stone)Stu Stone must give his man one heck of a motivational speech prior to this match, because he was on fire as things started off. Cedric chopped his opponent down to the mat then hit a running neckbreaker that dimmed Gargano's lights. Stu Stone hopped up onto the apron, distracting referee Brad Maddox while Cedric nailed Gargano with his Halliburton, making the cover to secure a long two-count. Hurting badly, Gargano rolled to the floor, where he retrieved Cedric's dented briefcase and unloaded with a shot of his own. Maddox warned Gargano for the illegal move, but things were academic after that; Cedric got rolled into the ring and locked in the GARGANO ESCAPE, quickly tapping out. WINNER: Johnny Gargano via submission (3:40) Drew Gulak & Timothy Thatcher vs. PPRayRay Rosas and Drew Gulak started the match for their respective teams, and Rosas quickly took the advantage with a side headlock. Just as quickly, Gulak powered his way out and sent Rosas crashing into the turnbuckles with a snap suplex. A quick tag to Timothy Thatcher and a single-leg crab on Rosas established a precedent--quick tags on the part of Thatcher and Gulak, with submission holds galore keeping Rosas on the mat and in agony, though he refused to tap out. After several minutes, Rosas ducked under a clothesline by Thatcher and made a desperation tag to Peter Avalon, who fought off both of their opponents and quickly scored a near fall on Thatcher after an enzuigiri. While Avalon celebrated, thinking he had just won the match, Thatcher rolled to his corner and tagged in Gulak, who leveled Avalon with a blindside clothesline that almost ended the match. While referee Brian Hebner checked on Thatcher, Rosas threw a steel chair into the ring, but it was intercepted by Gulak! Almost immediately, Avalon grabbed his head and dropped to the mat; when Hebner turned around, he saw Gulak holding the chair and Avalon seemingly laid out, and immediately called for the bell. WINNERS: PPRay via disqualification (16:46) Cedric Alexander vs. Anthony NeseBoth men were looking for a big win in this match and it showed, as they lit into each other with punches right at the opening bell. Alexander gradually began to gain the advantage, until Nese kicked him in the stomach and planted him with a piledriver that earned him a two-count before Alexander miraculously kicked out. As Nese laid into Alexander with kicks, Larry Dallas made his way out from the back, taking up a position in Nese's corner and cheering him on. Nee tossed his opponent out to the floor, where Dallas bad-mouthed him and threatened to slap him, but Nese was quick to intervene, avoiding a disqualification. Nese rolled Alexander back into the ring and planted him with a REVERSE PILEDRIVER, though once again, Alexander managed to kick out. Alexander ducked under a clothesline and hit a super kick that nearly knocked Nese out, following up with his KICK 2 KILL PART II and a LUMBAR CHECK, both of which earned him a long two-count. Alexander hopped up to the top rope and went for a flying body press, but Nese ducked out of the way and Alexander crashed into the mat, where he was easy prey for a cover and another two-count. Nese hoisted his opponent up with a deadlift German suplex and drove him into the mat, and he earned a looong two-count before Alexander kicked out! Both Nese and Dallas protested to Brad Maddox, accusing the official of a slow count, but this gave Alexander a chance to catch his breath and hit a lung blower. He made the cover, but Dallas draped Nese's foot over the bottom rope, and the count was broken. Another LUMBAR CHECK put Nese on the mat, but this time Dallas reached up and held his feet down! Alexander covered him and Maddox made the count, with Nese unable to kick out. WINNER: Cedric Alexander via pinfall (16:55) Post-Match DramaAfter the match was over, Dallas' other charge, Brian Cage, rushed out, and he and Alexander began laying into Nese with kicks and stomps. The beatdown continued for several moments before David Marquez ran out, microphone in hand. MARQUEZ: "That's it! That's enough! Dallas, get your men out of there right now or you're all suspended!" Alexander took one more kick, and Marquez called for security. MARQUEZ: "Oh, you think I'm playing? I told everyone in the back, we're not going to take that here in Evolution! Dallas, Cage, Alexander--you're each fined five thousand dollars!" Alexander and Cage protested, but Dallas waved them off, promising that he had them covered, no problem. Marquez was not amused. MARQUEZ: "No problem? Fine, maybe this will get your attention: you're all suspended for two weeks!" Indeed, that fired Dallas up, and he shouted at Marquez, claiming he couldn't do that. MARQUEZ: "Make that three weeks!" Dallas kicked the bottom rope and continued to protest. MARQUEZ: "Four weeks!" Dallas shouted threats at--let's face it--his boss, who remained nonplussed. MARQUEZ: "Five weeks! I can do this all day, Dallas!" The manager finally realized just how serious Marquez was, and threw up his hands. Security corralled all three men and ushered them out of the building while medical professionals tended to the fallen Nese. MARQUEZ: "And while I'm thinking about it, Peter Avalon! Ray Rosas! That was a cute little trick--Eddie Guerrero would have been proud. But let's see you try that again in the rematch next week!" The Best Friends vs. The Rock NES MonstersChuck Taylor and Trent Barreta absolutely dominated their opponents, treating this less like a wrestling match and more like an exhibition of their signature moves. Hitting both Johnnies, Yuma and Goodtime, with everything from a top rope hurricanrana to a springboard moonsault, the end mercifully came when Taylor finally planted Yuma with his AWFUL WAFFLE and scored the pinfall. WINNERS: The Best Friends via pinfall (9:55) NWA World Television Championship Match: Silas Young (c) vs. Biff BusickWhat a phenomenal match! It was clear from the opening bell that neither champion nor challenger was going to pull any punches...or kicks, or slams, or suplexes. Silas Young scored the first big move, turning Busick inside out with a huge lariat, but he couldn't follow up quickly enough to earn the three-count. Despite being knocked for a loop, Busick managed to rally back, overpowering Young and hitting a hangman's neckbreaker, then a flying European uppercut, each for a two-count. He threw Young out to the floor, where the champion turned things around one more time by sending Busick into the ring post. Young tossed the challenger back into the ring and covered him for two, then went up to the top rope for a moonsault, but Busick got his knees up! He rolled the champion up for another two-count, then planted him with his HALF-AND-HALF SUPLEX, though Young managed to power out. The champ ducked under a clothesline and countered with another lariat, finally hitting his PEE GEE WAJA PLUNGE to put Busick away and retain his title. WINNER and still World Television Champion: Silas Young via pinfall (12:56) Ryan Taylor vs. The HoboThere was no love lost between these two competitors; that was made clear when Taylor opened the match by slapping the Hobo across the face. The homeless grappler retaliated with a flurry of kicks and punches, finally hitting a clothesline, then a flying elbow drop. A STREET PREACHER put Taylor down, but he managed to get his shoulder up just before referee Brian Hebner counted to three. The Hobo maintained his advantage with a pair of belly-to-back suplexes, a sidewalk slam, and another clothesline. He threw his opponent into the ropes, but the cagey Taylor ducked under another clothesline and immediately transitioned into his PERFECT CIRCLE for a two count. With the Hobo hurting on the mat, Taylor locked on an omoplata crossface and scored an immediate tap out. WINNER: Ryan Taylor via submission (10:02) Match of the Night: Cedric Alexander d. Anthony Nese Wrestling Observer Rating: 3.5 stars

Very happy to see The Whole Shebang put Cedric the Hitman away for the win... And David Marquez's dedication to fair play is actually helping to escalate the drama... Very clever approach... Like what's going on in NWA:EVOLUTION!

I was pulling for Busick, but unfortunately he lost. Great card Scooter. The rest of the results were fun to read too.

Thanks for your comments, Pariah and Powermonger!
This was a fun card to play out; the last couple have had a lot of short matches, but this one had some real slobberknockers. I found myself cheering the cards on as the dice gave me a great show!
The Busick-Young bout almost edged out the Alexander-Nese contest for Match of the Night; it was that good. Ironic, since Alexander won the Match of the Night and now he'll be on the bench for five weeks.
As always, thank you for reading and commenting!

NWA: Chikara Saturday Night FeverSouth Windsor, Connecticut July 25, 2015 Pinkie Sanchez vs. Jakob Hammermeier
Referee Jonathan Barber held up the recently-vacated (and surrendered) Grand Championship belt prior to calling for the bell. As soon as it rang, the two men met in the center of the ring, and Hammermeier ordered Sanchez to lay down for him. Sanchez did not look pleased, but it seemed like the BDK was going to be back in full force, as Sanchez started to go down to the mat, then stopped. Started, then stopped. Hammermeier came unglued, screaming at Sanchez to lay down on the mat, and ultimately slapping him in the face. Sanchez looked incensed, his eyes bulging and his hands shaking, then he began to throw punches at Hammermeier. The German raked Sanchez's eyes and tossed him into the corner, but Sanchez put on the brakes and rolled him up with a schoolboy. Hammermeier kicked out, but immediately walked into a BURNING SNICKLEFRITZ that put him down for the 1-2-3.
WINNER: Pinkie Sanchez via pinfall (3:48)
Post-Match Drama
As Sanchez celebrated his victory, the masked AssailANT raced out from the back, sliding into the ring and clubbing the victor down from behind and laying into him with kicks and stomps. Hammermeier shook off the cobwebs and joined in the attack, until Green Ant, Icarus, and Ultramlantis Black rushed out to chase the villains off.
Ultramlantis Black vs. Oleg the Usurper (with Sidney Bakabella)
This match went on for several minutes, with neither man able to secure a decisive advantage until Ultramlantis Black took Oleg down with a reverse STO. After that, Black really poured on the offense, hitting a knee drop for a two-count and a running neckbreaker that saw Oleg flee to the safety of the floor. Black reached through the ropes to grab Oleg, who responded with a chair shot to the head while Sidney Bakabella tied up referee Daniel Yost. Oleg followed up with a pendulum backbreaker, then a Yakuza Kick that sent Black tumbling through the ropes. Oleg tried to slam Black's head into the timekeeper's table, but the masked man blocked the move and drove Oleg's head into the table, instead. Throwing Oleg back into the ring, Black clamped on a surfboard that had Oleg hollering in pain. Bakabella tried to climb into the ring to help his charge, but he tripped on the bottom rope; nevertheless, Yost was forced to eject him, and Black released his hold to take a swing at the manager. He turned around and walked right into another Yakuza Kick, then an OFF WITH HIS HEAD which put Black down for the count.
WINNER: Oleg the Usurper via pinfall (14:37)
The Colony vs. The Osirian Portal
Nothing to see here. The Colony dominated their Egyptian opponents until Ophidian fled to the floor and threw a chair into Soldier Ant's face. Jonathan Barber immediately called for the bell, putting an end to the match.
WINNERS: The Colony via disqualification (4:22)
Jaka (with Sidney Bakabella) vs. Juan Francisco de Coronado
Jaka started this match like a house afire, pummeling his opponent with savage strikes, kicks, and head butts. de Coronado fled the ring and went to floor often, but Jaka would not be denied his prize, as he took the advantage in every brawl and ultimately threw his opponent back into the ring. Jaka went for a big Stinger Splash, but de Coronado dropped out of the way and Jaka slammed into the top turnbuckle, knocking the wind out of his lungs. The man from Ecuador enjoyed a momentary advantage, but Jaka quickly fought him off and hit a JUMANJI BOMB for a two-count, then clamped on a nerve hold. Juan Francisco fought his way to the ropes and pulled himself out to the floor, but when Jaka followed, he ran right into a chair shot that knocked him senseless. Referee Bryce Remsburg wasn't going to tolerate that nonsense; he called for the bell and we had our second straight DQ finish.
WINNER: Jaka via disqualification (8:24)
Green Ant vs. Orange Cassidy
The masked grappler wrestled a very smart match, taking his more agile opponent to the mat and keeping him there with a succession of submission holds. Cassidy managed to withstand a single-leg crab, a CLOVERLEAF, and the CHIKARA SPECIAL: GREEN without submitting, though he screamed in pain in each hold and pounded the mat with his fists. The action eventually spilled out of the ring, where Cassidy raked Green Ant's eyes and drove him into the ringside barricade. Cassidy enjoyed the advantage for about ninety seconds, even scoring a near fall after a sit-out piledriver. Cassidy went up to the top rope, where Green Ant intercepted him and drove him to the mat with a superplex. Green Ant quickly clamped on his CHIKARA SPECIAL: GREEN one more time, in the center of the ring, and this time Cassidy had no choice other than tapping out.
WINNER: Green Ant via submission (7:04)
The Wrecking Crew (with Sidney Bakabella) vs. Incoherence
Frightmare started out the match for his team, and he showed incredible heart in taking the fight to both Blast and Smash, keeping them off-balance with dropkicks, arm drags, and knife-edge chops. He finally ran into trouble when he went for a cross body block; Blast caught him and threw him overhead with a fallaway slam that earned Bakabella's team a two-count. After that, it became a dissection, with the Wrecking Crew making quick tags and keeping the small masked man on the ropes, though he managed to kick out after a MOONSAULT by Smash, a power bomb by Blast, and even a DEATH BLOW. Blast went for a guillotine leg drop, but Frightmare rolled out of the way and managed to tag in his partner. Hallowicked fought valiantly against against Blast and Smash, but he soon found himself in big trouble, planted with a SIT-OUT CHOKE SLAM for a two-count, a MOONSAULT for two and a half, and a senton splash by Smash. Hallowicked eventually fought his way to his own corner to tag in Frightmare, who walked into a double clothesline. Blast lifted him up for another SIT-OUT CHOKE SLAM, and Frightmare was finally put away.
WINNERS: The Wrecking Crew via pinfall (16:42)
Shynron vs. Jervis Cottonbelly
Cottonbelly started out looking very good, taking his masked opponent down with suplexes and hip tosses. He went for a butt bump in the corner, but Shynron dove out of the way and Cottonbelly hit the turnbuckle, hard. With Cottonbelly down, Shynron poured on the offense, putting on an aerial display that left the crowd gasping in excitement. After wowing the fans with a shooting star press, a satellite head scissors, and a Tiger feint knee strike, he finally hit his SPIRIT BOMB to put Cottonbelly away.
WINNER: Shynron via pinfall (5:31)
Non-Title Match: NWA World Tag Team Champions the Batiri vs. the Throwbacks
This was a close-fought contest right from the opening bell, with quick tags keeping all four men fresh, with neither team taking a decided advantage. As time wore on, the Batiri isolated Mark Angelosetti in their corner, working him over with karate kicks and suplexes until Kodama scored a near fall after his FLYING BLOCKBUSTER. Angelosetti powered out of an attempted vertical duplex and made a much-needed tag to his partner, who fought off both members of the Batiri and even picked up a near fall on Obariyon after his GRAND SLAM, but Kodama charged into the ring and broke up the pin with a thrust kick to the masked man's head. Obariyon and Kodama double-teamed Hatfield until Daniel Yost forced the illegal Kodama out of the ring. He didn't remain on the apron for long, as Obariyon immediately tagged him in and he planted Hatfield with a FLYING BLOCKBUSTER for a two-count. He immediately followed up with a savage lariat that knocked Hatfield senseless and left him easy prey for the three-count.
WINNERS: The Batiri via pinfall (13:44)
Icarus vs. AssailANT (with Jakob Hammermeier)
After an exciting tag team contest, it was time for the Mmmmmmmain Event of the evening! Icarus opened the match with an attempt at a body slam, but AssailANT blocked the move and leveled Icarus with a clothesline. He tossed Icarus out of the ring and tied up referee Bryce Remsburg while Jakob Hammermeier kicked Icarus in the stomach and rolled him back into the ring. The masked grappler climbed to the top rope and flew, attempting a big splash, but Icarus got his knees up at the last minute! The Winged Ring Warrior went after AssailANT's ribs, softening him up until he was easy prey for the WINGS OF ICARUS, but Hammermeier pulled AssailANT's foot over the bottom rope. Icarus quickly scooped him up and planted him with a BLU-RAY that earned him a three-count.
WINNER: Icarus via pinfall (6:06)
Match of the Night: The Wrecking Crew d. Incoherence Wrestling Observer Rating: 2.5 stars

Great seeing my favorite Chikara team AND your reigning NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Batiri, scoring the win in their match...
Even though I was rooting for Incoherence, their match against The Wrecking Crew was pure entertainment...
The action in NWA:Chikara is fast and furious... Don't dare blink!

I'm with you, Pariah--I love the Batiri! They have always been double-tough for me, but they beat the previously-unstoppable Future, and now seem to be unstoppable, themselves.
The Wrecking Crew vs. Incoherence was absolutely my favorite match, too, but really, I was satisfied with all of the matches and their outcomes. We'll have to see where this new alliance between Hammerer and AssailANT goes...
Thank you so much for reading and commenting; I really appreciate it.

NWA: ChikaraBlack SundayProvidence, Rhode Island July 26, 2015 Oleg the Usurper (with Sidney Bakabella) vs. Jervis Cottonbelly
This match started out as a plodding affair, with neither man able to sustain much of an advantage for very long. Gradually, Cottonbelly managed to wear Oleg out with repeated European forearms and uppercuts, finally taking him down with a belly-to-belly suplex. Cottonbelly clamped on an ankle lock, and Oleg was soon pounding the mat in agony, trying to claw his way to the ropes. Sidney Bakabella provided an assist, pushing the rope closer to Oleg's hands, so he could finally reach it, breaking the hold. Cottonbelly followed up with THE VERTICAL SUPLEX, but Oleg managed to power out of the cover and level his masked opponent with a desperation clothesline. OFF WITH HIS HEAD seemed to take Cottonbelly out of the match, but he incredibly kicked out just before three, and transitioned into another ankle lock. Oleg fought his way to the ropes one more time, pulled himself to his feet, and took down Cottonbelly by yanking on his mask. The Usurper fired Cottonbelly into the ropes, but telegraphed a back body drop; the World's Sweetest Man took him down with a sunset flip for the 1-2-3.
WINNER: Jervis Cottonbelly via pinfall (10:47)
Shynron vs. Juan Francisco de Coronado
Shynron absolutely dominated his opponent in the opening moments of this match, quickly softening him up with palm strikes and karate kicks, then taking him off his feet with a flying head scissors. A standing shooting star press earned him a two-count, and a SPIRIT BOMB led to an even closer near fall. The Ecuadoran aristocrat fought his way to his feet and leveraged his power advantage to slow Shynron down. A German suplex knocked the wind out of the masked man, then he found himself trapped in the CORONADO CLUTCH in the center of the ring, where he was forced to tap out.
WINNER: Juan Francisco de Coronado via submission (4:50)
Incoherence vs. The Osirian Portal
Once again, Frightmare started out for his team, and once again, he took the fight to both of his opponents, speeding his way around the ring and staggering both Egyptian warriors with dropkicks and head scissors takedowns. Eventually, he ran into a wall of quick tags and double-team maneuvers and was forced to tag out to Hallowicked, who fared little better. The Portal kept him off his feet with lightning-fast tags and high-impact moves. After Amasis planted him with the EGYPTIAN CONNIPTION, he tagged in Ophidian, who locked in his DEATH GRIP, forcing Hallowicked to give it up.
WINNERS: The Osirian Portal via submission (6:01)
Icarus vs. Orange Cassidy
Something had gotten into Icarus, because he went after Cassidy even before referee Bryce Remsburg called for the bell. Beating Cassidy down, Icarus hit a shiranui, a slingshot senton, and the WINGS OF ICARUS, but he refused to make the cover, even after his signature move. Cassidy went to the floor, largely in self-defense, but Icarus followed and laid him out with a steel chair, drawing an immediate DQ.
WINNER: Orange Cassidy via disqualification (1:42)
Jaka (with Sidney Bakabella) vs. Ultramlantis Black
Jaka absolutely dominated the leader of the Spectral Envoy, beating him from pillar to post and finally putting him away with a flying cross body block.
WINNER: Jaka via pinfall (5:44)
Green Ant vs. Jakob Hammermeier (with AssailANT)
With AssailANT in his opponent's corner, tying up referee Jonathan Barber and blinding him to Hammermeier's illegal tactics, Green Ant never stood a chance. The former BDK manager opened things up with a kick to Green Ant's groin, and the masked man never recovered. After getting eye raked, boot scraped, and choked into oblivion, he finally fell prey to a well-timed GUTEN NACHT.
WINNER: Jakob Hammermeier via pinfall (3:20)
The Wrecking Crew (with Sidney Bakabella) vs. The Throwbacks
Dasher Hatfield tried to outwrestle Blast and Smash; he really did. He got in a few licks, but made the mistake of trying to ram Smash's head into the turnbuckle. Smash no-sold the move, leveled Hatfield with a clothesline, then planted him with a press slam for the three-count.
WINNERS: The Wrecking Crew via pinfall (1:44)
Pinkie Sanchez vs. AssailANT (with Jakob Hammermeier)
This was definitely a tale of two matches. Sanchez dominated the early minutes, using his quickness and variety of butt-related offense to keep his larger opponent staggered and off his game. Sanchez seemed to have the match well in hand, and was bouncing off the ropes when Hammermeier reached in and tripped him up. Sanchez pushed himself to his feet and began yelling at Hammermeier, only to get taken down from behind with a clothesline from AssailANT. The masked grappler pounded Sanchez into the mat with power moves, but was unable to put him away. He made a huge error in going to the top rope; Sanchez saw him coming off with a big splash and rolled out of the way, nearly getting a pinfall after AssailANT crashed into the canvas. AssailANT poked Sanchez in the eye, and while referee Dan Yost checked on him, Hammermeier pulled a chain out of his pocket, tossing it to his partner in crime. AssailANT wrapped it around his fist and, screening the referee with his own body, unloaded on Sanchez with a loaded punch. Sanchez went out like a light, and AssailANT made the cover, winning the match.
WINNER: AssailANT via pinfall (8:15)
2 of 3 Falls Match for the Campeonatos de Parejas: Los Ice Creams (c) vs. The Colony
With the day's last match of the 12 Large Summit out of the way, it was time for the Mmmmmmmmain Event of the evening! The first fall went fairly quickly, as Soldier Ant locked up with El Hilo del Ice Cream. The smaller man went for a shoulder tackle, but Soldier Ant knocked him off his feet, then went for a clothesline. The champion ducked beneath it, spun around as Soldier Ant came off the ropes, and...kick! Wham! COLD STONE STUNNER. Soldier Ant never knew what hit him as referee Bryce Remsburg counted to three. (1:26)
Los Ice Creams maintained their advantage after the thirty-second rest period, wearing him out with their fast-paced double-team offense. Ice Cream Jr. almost scored the title-retaining pinfall after pulling out a bag of sprinkles, dumping them on the mat, and heinously power bombing Soldier Ant onto the vicious things! Fire Ant was forced to attack Junior in order to save his teammate, then he rolled his partner out of the ring, essentially making a tag. Fire Ant fought off both Ice Creams with great success, hitting a BEACH BREAK on El Hilo del Ice Cream that almost spelled the end of the fall, and later a Burning Hammer on Ice Cream Jr. that also scored him a two-count. By this time, Soldier Ant had recovered and he tagged into the ring. He and Fire Ant hoisted up a weary Ice Cream Jr. and dropped him with their ANTS GO MARCHING for the 1-2-3. (17:01)
After another rest period, Soldier Ant picked up Ice Cream Jr. and whipped into the corner, but Junior reversed the whip and followed Soldier in with a Yakuza Kick that practically took his head off. Junior quickly tagged in his partner, and they hit Soldier Ant with EL ASESINO. Fire Ant tried to make the save, bu El Hijo del Ice Cream cut him off, and Remsburg counted to three.
WINNERS and still Campeonatos de Parejas: Los Ice Creams (19:05)
