Snuka now has held them all!! Yes! He joins Giant Baba, Bobo Brazil and The Valentines in the Triple Crown club. At this point, Harley Race and Buddy Rogers are lacking the Tag Titles for the Triple Crown, and Iron Sheik is missing the World title.

Year Two Awards
Wrestler of the Year: Nick Bockwinkel First Runner Up: Jimmy Snuka Second Runner Up: Ted DiBiase Third Runner Up: Buddy Rogers
- Bockwinkel, again, is the man to beat in the LWF! Bockwinkel dominates the title scene in the LWF, singles or tag, whatever he opts to do. Jimmy Snuka had a great year, ending Bockwinkel's second title reign, while Ted DiBiase broke the United States title record. Buddy Rogers, while not racking up belts, consistently ranked at the top.
Tag Team of the Year: The Road Warriors First Runner Up: The Killer Bees Second Runner Up: Gorgeous George & Buddy Rose Third Runner Up: Nick Bockwinkel & Harley Race
- Deja vu all over again. The Road Warriors picked up four more tag titles in Year 2, and were consistently top ranked. The Killer Bees managed to be their closest rivals, and while their wins were considered upsets at first, they soon became too numerous to write off. Only the tag belts truly eluded the Bees. George & Rose really gelled this year, consistently in the title mix. Bockwinkel & Race earned a spot in the last part of the year, winning the tag invitiational and even a short-lived tag title run.
Most Popular Wrestler of the Year: Jimmy Snuka First Runner Up: Jim Duggan Second Runner Up: Bobo Brazil Third Runner Up: Buff Bagwell
- Snuka had a banner year, fending off Buddy Rose and then tackling the fearsome quartet of Bockwinkel, Race, Rogers and Kowalski! This, combined with his US, Tag Team and World title reigns earned him a legion of fans! Jim Duggan, while not racking up the best win-loss record, also gained a massive following...who cheered as he tried to redeem Ted DiBiase, cried when DiBiase betrayed him and stood in awe when he got his revenge by unleashing Bruiser Brody and The Missing Link! Brazil's following slipped a bit as Snuka moved to the forefront...and newcomer Buff Bagwell's brash attitude won many fans over, especially when he refused to back down from guys like Nick Bockwinkel!
Most Hated Wrestler of the Year: Nick Bockwinkel First Runner Up: Ted DiBiase Second Runner Up: Greg Valentine Third Runner Up: Gorgeous George
- Bockwinkel wins this year, only because DiBiase spent most of the year playing a fan favorite before stabbing Jim Duggan in the back. Greg Valentine infuriated tons of people with the depths he sank to in his battle with his father, including planting Brutus Beefcake as a partner for Johnny Valentine before snapping a trap closed with Beefcake, Albano and the Valiants. And George supplemented his grating personality with tag gold, which sat well with no one, except Buddy Rose and Cherie Dupree.
Feud of the Year: Ted DiBiase & Jim Duggan vs King Kong Bundy, Ox Baker & Virgil First Runner Up: Destroyer & Jimmy Snuka vs Gorgeous George & Buddy Rose Second Runner Up: Frank Gotch, Sandman & Sabu vs Mil Mascaras & Don Leo Jonathan Third Runner Up: Johnny Valentine vs The Dream Team
- DiBiase and Duggan waged a mid-card war with Ted's former charges King Kong Bundy, Ox Baker and Virgil after a gangpile by Gotch, Sandman and Sabu on DiBiase led to Duggan saving him...it was bloody and intense, involved Koko B. Ware, Cowboy Bob Orton and Buff Bagwell by the end and ended with DiBiase slugging Duggan in the face with his infamous loaded glove. Destroyer & Snuka wound up trouncing George & Rose in a cage match and ended a tag title run, as just one of many great encounters before Snuka wound up chasing Bockwinkel. It was the Arabian Facebuster heard 'round the world...Sabu crushed Mil Mascaras, setting off a feud with his allies, most notably Don Leo Jonathan. The feud saw Sabu try to cripple Mascaras and Don Leo battle Sandman in a Singapore Cane match and later evolved into a war involving Mascaras, Don Leo, Sandman, Sabu, Bobo Brazil and debuting wrestler The Sheik. Late last year, Johnny Valentine was stabbed in the back by his own son as they were defending the tag titles against The Valiants. Captain Lou led Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake (who also turned on Johnny later), in a feud that wound up having a series of dog collar matches that Johnny used to beat his son and friends up with.
Match of the Year: Ted DiBiase beats Harley Race for the US title, LWF Mat Wars First Runner Up: Jimmy Snuka beats Nick Bockwinkel for the World title in a cage, Slamboree Second Runner Up: The Road Warriors regain the tag titles from Bockwinkel & Race, LWF Mat Wars Third Runner Up: Ted DiBiase beats Destroyer for the vacant TV title, LWF Mat Wars
- Two MOTYs for DiBiase, Race and Bockwinkel! DiBiase's US title win as so good that it spoiled the rest of the show! Snuka's cage match was a historic event, ending with a big Superfly Leap that made history. The Road Warriors' win over Bockwinkel & Race was their 7th title win, which was cut short in a brutal assault by the Midnight Express. DiBiase's bout with Destroyer was very dramatic, as Jim Duggan even tried to get involved, but DiBiase was still crowned the first ever TV champ.
Newcomer of the Year: Mil Mascaras First Runner Up: Killer Bees Second Runner Up: Dick Hutton Third Runner Up: Don Leo Jonathan
- Despite no gold, Mascaras made an impact, consistently ranking highly and battling all manner of foul forces. The Killer Bees stunned everyone with their tag team success, fending off Volkoff & The Iron Sheik and even getting a one week tag title reign. Dick Hutton entered the company taking on all comers, but found himself teaming with Red Bastien after a 2/3 Falls match made them realize their mutual respect for each other...it was one of the few truly shining moments of sportsmanship. Don Leo Jonathan also never won gold, but like Mascaras has never backed down from anyone.

LWF Year Three
The Dream Team vs. The Heenan Family
“Captain” Lou Albano vs. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
The Captain, after a year of making life Hell for our heroes, has turned over a new leaf brought on by the betrayals of The Valiants! Bobby Heenan emerged in the LWF at the side of Nick Bockwinkel, prompting his men to kick Buddy Rogers to the curb and recruit The Valiants! Well, Albano is furious and he’s assembled a stable to stand against The Heenan Family! Managing to get Greg & Johnny Valentine to reconcile, Albano’s approach did put a rift in the Hutton/Bastien alliance with Johnny, as they refuse to associate with Albano and The Dream Team. Which manager will lay claim to “The Greatest Manager in Wrestling History”? And what will Paul Ellering and Jim Cornette have to say about the one who does?
“Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers vs. Nick Bockwinkel
Fresh off of his betrayal at the hands of Killer Kowalski, Buddy Rogers has emerged as one of the top favorites in the LWF! While it was Kowalski that stabbed him in the back and brutalized him, Rogers knows that Bobby Heenan and Nick Bockwinkel masterminded the assault. For Rogers, Kowalski’s day will come soon…but he plans to cut the two heads off the beast first! Look for Rogers and Jimmy Snuka to unite against Bockwinkel & Race! Bockwinkel is no dummy, though…he wouldn’t have cut Rogers loose if he didn’t have a plan to handle him.
“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka vs. Harley Race
When no one else would come to the aid of the fallen Rogers, Jimmy Snuka saved the day! Now Snuka and Rogers have found allies in The Valentines, Albano and Beefcake! While Snuka will happily battle Kowalski or Bockwinkel, he’s concentrating on bringing Harley Race down a notch this year! But many fans can’t help but look at Snuka’s team and see a group of guys with less than stellar reputations. Should Snuka be watching out for his partners as well as his enemies? And how long will Harley Race be happy playing second in command to Nick Bockwinkel…especially since Heenan arrived, Race is now the third man on the totem pole?
Johnny Valentine vs Killer Kowalski
One of the biggest shockers in the LWF has to be Lou Albano reuniting father and son! Johnny and Greg reconciled and have joined forces nearly a year after their split, to wage war with the Heenan family! While Johnny would love to get his hands on Harley Race another time or two this year, his primary focus will be the sadistic Killer Kowalski! On the flipside of that shocking reconciliation is the heartless betrayal of Kowalski against Rogers after two years of teaming. In addition to battles with Valentine, Kowalski will have his hands full with challenges from Rogers as well.
The Dream Team vs The Valiants
Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake being cheered? Is it possible? It appears so! Valentine and Beefcake are being pointed at The Valiants by Albano, who’s ready to pull the trigger! But are Valentine and Beefcake the kinds of guys that the fans really want to cheer? And can they handle the crafty double-teaming of The Valiants?
Hacksaw’s Enforcers vs. DiBiase Enterprises
“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs Ted DiBiase
Poor Hacksaw was wrong. After being deceived for a year by Ted DiBiase, the “Million Dollar Man” stabbed him in the back and tried to cripple him. Were it not for Buff Bagwell and an uncharacteristic show of compassion, he would have succeeded! Now Duggan is out for blood, and he plans to extract it from DiBiase! DiBiase, for his part, says that he’s always been the same guy…he’s just richer now. Duggan has introduced two of the most volatile elements in wrestling history to the LWF in his revenge efforts: Bruiser Brody and Missing Link! When the smoke clears, will anyone be left standing?
Buff Bagwell vs “Cowboy” Bob Orton
Bagwell stunned many, not the least of which being Ted DiBiase, when he DIDN’T stab Duggan in the back! DiBiase assumed that he and Bagwell were on the same page and is paying for it now! DiBiase was unshaken by Bagwell’s refusal to join forces, however, recruiting Bob Orton to handle the energetic fan favorite! Will the tough guy handle the charismatic Bagwell?
Bruiser Brody vs King Kong Bundy
Lord only knows what Jim Duggan has done now. Perhaps opening a floodgate that cannot be closed, in his efforts for revenge, Duggan has unleashed the savage Bruiser Brody on the LWF and King Kong Bundy! As savage as Brody is, the most frightening thing about his is that, underneath it all, he’s not an animal like The Missing Link…a cold cunning is there…as if Brody fully understands what he’s doing. Can a man like that be trusted? Outwardly, Bundy shows no fear…but how can you not be uncertain with a guy like Brody around?
The Missing Link vs Ox Baker
Ox, meet The Link! Ox is known for being a brutal thug, but the Link is an animal! Ox has never faced anything quite like this before. Can he handle the unorthodox Link? Can Duggan control the Link? Occasionally, Brody and Link form an unpredictable tag team to combat Bundy & Baker!
Koko B. Ware vs. Virgil
Ted DiBiase’s bodyguard has been given the task of destroying the popular Koko B. Ware! Is Virgil up to the challenge? The combinations of Koko, Buff & Duggan sometimes battle Orton, DiBiase & Virgil in various tag alignments.
The Legion of Doom vs. The Midnight Express
“Precious” Paul Ellering vs. Jim Cornette
Now you have done it, Cornette! After the Express struggled for a year in the LWF, they exacted a deadly vengeance on the Road Warriors with a vicious assault that culminated in both men being thrown off of a high staging area to the floor below! Missing the last part of the year, many feared that the Road Warriors would never grace another LWF ring…but they are back, and they have Paul Ellering in tow to get his hands on James E. Cornette!
The Road Warriors vs. The Midnight Express
Well, they couldn’t take the Road Warriors in the ring, so the Express attacked them out of the ring during a match with Bockwinkel and Race…but they made one fatal mistake: They left the job undone! Hawk and Animal are back and there will be Hell to pay! They have one thing to say to the men that tried to throw them to their dooms: Skywalkers! The scaffold match is HERE!
Giant Baba vs. Antonio Inoki
This is one of the most interesting relationships in the LWF, and one of the most intense! Both men being students of the same mentor, they are sharing space the only way they know how! Baba has ended his longtime partnership with Bobo Brazil upon Inoki’s arrival, and the two Japanese legends are locked in an intense feud…with a catch! While they battle each other regularly, they also take on all comers as a tag team together! They sometimes even face Baba’s old partners Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras in tag action!
Gotch’s International Alliance vs. The Foreign Powers
Nikita Breznikov (manager of The Foreign Powers)
Breznikov, Volkoff & Sheik have performed a coup! When Orton left the group for DiBiase’s money, they were momentarily at a loss…until George Hackenschmidt fell in their laps! Hackenschmidt arrived in the LWF looking for Frank Gotch, and a plan was formed. Volkoff and Breznikov preyed on Hackenschmidt’s bitterness towards Gotch as well as his Russian heritage to convince him that they were noble crusaders trying to bring Gotch down as well…while an unbiased figure could see through this, Hackenschmidt is blinded by his fury towards Gotch! To make it worse, whenever he’s tried to convince the fans of Gotch’s nature, Gotch has used George’s affiliation with Volkoff, Breznikov and Sheik to poke holes in his credibility!
Frank Gotch vs. George Hackenschmidt
Though many fans may not realize it, they’re probably cheering for the wrong guy here! Hackenschmidt is an otherwise upstanding and intelligent man, who has been blinded by his fury for Gotch! Will he see through the lies of his comrades? What will he think when he realizes that, in his short LWF career, everyone he’s associated with has been a liar or a manipulator? More importantly…can he get revenge in the ring?
The Vachons vs. Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik
Frank Gotch’s alliance with Sandman and Sabu came to an abrupt halt recently when another family reunion took place. Gotch took exception to Sabu inviting the Sheik onto their squad, and when he tried to complain about it to his hardcore charges, was nearly mauled by them. Gotch backed off and went out, recruiting two more hardcore legends: The Vachons! Sending them after Volkoff & Sheik, Gotch has also directed them to try to cripple Sabu and The Sheik for stabbing him in the back! As for the Vachons, well, they don’t care who they hurt, so long as they’re hurting someone.
The People’s Choice vs. Hardcore Legacy
Bobo Brazil vs. The Sheik
The blood runs free in the LWF tonight! The Sheik has arrived and he, Sandman and Sabu are on the prowl, hunting some Legends! Sheik, in his crazed mind, recognizes Bobo Brazil and his murderous instincts are primed! Brazil says “bring it on!” Feud of the Year will be hotly contested this year!
Mil Mascaras vs. Sabu
Shortly after Sabu’s debut last year, he crossed Mascaras with a mean Arabian face buster…and now that spark blows wide open, as Sabu is targeting Mascaras for annihilation! This feud will be death-defying and high-flying! Mascaras and Bobo Brazil have also agreed to team up to battle the First Family of Hardcore in an intense tag feud as well!
Don Leo Jonathan vs. The Sandman
The Sandman has targeted Don Leo’s head for his mantle, and fully intends to collect! Can even the Singapore cane put the giant down? Can anything?
Destroyer & Killer Bees vs. George’s Gentlemen’s Club
The Destroyer vs. The Masked Superstar
George has decided that the best way to settle his feud with the Destroyer is to get The Masked Superstar to do it for him! The Superstar is stalking Destroyer with glee, standing in his way, keeping him from touching Gorgeous George! The masked war is on!
The Killer Bees vs. Gorgeous George & “Playboy” Buddy Rose
George & Rose thought they had Destroyer down on a 3-1 advantage, but The Bees have saved they day! Look for great tag team action in this feud, as George & Rose are one of the most successful teams in LWF history! And all six men will happily team in six man action as well!
Hutton & Bastien vs. Extreme Impact
Dick Hutton vs. Justin Credible
If there’s one thing Hutton hates, it’s a loudmouth! And Justin, well, he plans on shoving your cane down your throat! Can Credible make a name for himself at the expense of former US champion Hutton? Also, this year Hutton and Bastien are splitting their time among singles and tag action, given their lack of success in the past year in the tag ranks.
Red Bastien vs. Chris Candido
The similarities are there, but the differences are profound, especially in attitude. Bastien prepares to resume singles wrestling, while Candido wants to use his established name as a stepping stone to LWF gold! Candido and Credible will also team up as Extreme Impact and go for tag gold!
