Indeed, if you look in upcoming releases it does state it's an 8 pack. Rather disappointing honestly, you can't do much with eight wrestlers.

It could be a teaser start for something that leads into a summer thing. I mean a lot of bootleg sets started with 8 guys and then in the spring/summer there could be a full set. I have it marked in my planner to keep an eye on whatever comes our way

Thanks for the update... Have to wait and see what direction it's taking... Haven't been disappointed yet!

Can't get my mind off this topic... Even with only 8 cards, you could run a pretty solid competition to see WHO can earn a spot on the main GWF roster... Just think... If you ran a single round robin tournament, it would equal 28 matches in total... Turn it into a best of three round robin and suddenly you're up to 84 matches...
That's something I would definitely be interested in trying!

That's something I would definitely be interested in trying! Here is what I would do...start out with two GMs talking about how should they go about crowning a FTR champion (just spitballing ideas). Then one suggests doing a round robin tournament to see what all the talents in-ring ability, interview skills, etc that they do in NXT. Then at the end of the tournament each one of the GMs pick one wrestler who had stood out to them and those two wrestle for the new FTR championship. That's my idea for season one.

I missed out on the aCe and GWFZ sets, but I might have to check out this one. FYI, if you are still interested in aCe or GWFZ let me know. I still have some of all of these sets, they are just not in the catalog.

If it is a Side promotion similar to GWFZ intended as a starting point, I think 8 is a good number. Especially if you consider adding in some of the wrestlers and managers who have recently left the main GWF or using GWF era characters from Promoter Prime.
This would let you expand the roster a little and have a mix of up and coming talent and talent that may never have reached the upper card or maybe is in decline.
Much like happens in real world promotions.
Also if this turns out to be a twice a year thing with 6-8 cards a release I think that would be fine.
Many of the current sets are handled that way. Really looking forward to this.

Gryt was one of my favorite lower card/comedy characters that I could definitely see having fun with again.

I am really excited for FTR.
Is there a chance that the hottest free agent in wrestling Avarice is part of FTR?
