Hopefully Legends Grand Finale will go out with a HUGE bang.
While I'm a little sad to hear that the Black and White is on the way out. I'm super excited for the next chapter of the Legends Journey.

Glad it's finally announced. I do find it odd that the decision to move to full color was made but it was decided to not move to color for another year. It seems to me that doing this just creates a bigger backlog of B&W cards that need to be remade as color. Regardless, I'm excited to see who's coming in this edition.

Why do they have to be remade in color? For continuity sake? I know that I was one that did not want to mix black and white sets with color sets but I've come off that stance recently.

Do you really think they would colourise all of the LOW back catalogue? It seems a bit extreme to me!
Whatever happens next, I'm happy. Hope we get a really exciting and expansive set for the 'end of an era.'

I really don't think they'll recolor everyone. I expect it to A: be mostly big names and B: more recent guys (80s onwards)for the most part.
It's going to be tough because you'll need to convince a good majority of people that you should buy the color cards but a lot of people are mixing without issue so they might not see a need. (For me I'd still use Jannetty or Savage's B and W cards over their color ones if I'm playing Legends proper for instance)
In the end, I hope it all works out.

I'd like to see some colourized legends with new stats such as Race, Bockwinkel, Rogers a slightly weaker Mascaras etc...but seriously whatever comes I will be happy!

I am really psyched to be getting Grand Finale in good old black and white but looking forward to the move to color. I had always been against mixing color and b&w but have come to accept it recently so the transition will be fine. I thought a cool way that they could do the cards would be to have more modern guys like Race, etc. in full on color and maybe do the likes of Gorgeous George, Jim Londos, Rocca etc. in the Olde Wrestling style.

I am excited for this set... Knowing Tom, I imagine that it will be worthy of the name "Grand Finale". The way I envision Legends going forward is that instead of 1 ten card set every December, they can release 2 six card sets... 1 of new wrestlers and 1 of redo's with color artwork and, if necessary, updated stats. This way people who already have the B/W sets wouldn't "need" to get the remakes if they were happy with the ones they already have.
I just hope that they wouldn't arbitrarily change stats just so they can say they are updated. But I know that there are several cards that Tim, Chad and Cory have said that they would do a bit differently if they could go back. I know that one of them was Ray Stevens...
I, for one, am excited to see what the future holds!
