Sherri Martel (IWWF) def. Candi Divine (USWA) Show Notes: the round of 16 was whittled down to 8 with the best women's wrestling in the world! Veda Scott had opportunities but never got any of her finishers applied and Madison Rayne strung a series of moves together for the win. U.S. champion Angelus Layne showed her beating Penny Banner was no fluke by taking out the Fabulous Moolah! Moolah just didn't go to work fast enough and the Memory Layen put her down for three. Jazz and the Rate Tank stood toe to toe and hammered away on each other. The STF brought Jazz the victory. The Latina Sensation is on a mission and will not be denied. The Mountain was brought down with a fisherman buster. Jessicka Havok kept the momentum from beating Mildred Burke to make the quarterfinals. The two powerhouses took it to one another but the Havokiller stopped Kelly Klein. Shimmer champion Sara Del Rey battled it out with Trish Stratus. Stratusfaction ended the match. British title holder Saraya Knight went back and forth with Barbi Hayden. Hayden withstood many submission moves before finally losing in the bridled rocking horse. Sherri Martel and Candi Divine wrestled like they faced each other numerous times in another reality. This match was dead even and brutual but Martel won with the Camel Clutch. QUARTERFINALS
