Match 7

vs. William Regal

The Match
The match kicks off with a tie-up, Danielson shoving Regal into the ropes, and Regal hits a shoulder tackle, then follows up with an Exploder suplex, then transitions into a half nelson suplex. Regal then throws Danielson into the ropes, where he hits the American Dragon with a Kitchen Sink, then picks him up, throws him into the ropes again, and clotheslines Danielson. Regal takes down Danleison with a leg trip, and tries to go for a standing armbar, but Danielson hits a barrage of European uppercuts that are eventually stopped by Regal, who cracks him in the jaw with a left hand, shoulder tackles him again, this time into the corner, then hits him with more left hands. Danielson stops another leg trip attempt, and German suplexes Regal.

Danielson hitches in a lifting surfboard to wear down Regal, then knocks him around with a flurry of roundhouse kicks, followed by a running missile dropkick when Regal is getting up. Regal blocks a European uppercut, shoves Danielson to the corner, then just starts repeatedly stomping on him. Danielson is sent to the ropes, and hits a flying clothesline, then locks in another lifting surfboard, which Regal gets out of, and goes for a European uppercut of his own, but it is blocked by Danielson, who whips Regal into the corner, and is hit with a big roundhouse kick to the midsection. Danielson then gives Regal a taste of even more European uppercuts, but Regal gets out of yet another surfboard attempt, shoulder tackles Danielson, causing him to rebound off the ropes. Regal clinches Danielson, and starts kneeing him repeatedly, then stomps him while he's down.

Regal continues the onslaught with another shoulder tackle rope rebound into an Exploder suplex. He then whips Danielson into the ropes, and Regal drops down twice before shoving Danielson away as he tries for a flying shoulder tackle. Regal hits some clinching knee strikes again, locks the arms, and hits a beautiful butterfly suplex, then transitions the hold while on the ground, and nails a half nelson suplex, locks the arms again, and hits two butterfly suplexes, but only gets a 2 count after the second one. Regal gets in a rear chinlock with knee, but Danielson avoids more knee strikes, gets in a side headlock, shoves Regal into the ropes, dropkicks him, whips him into the ropes again, and hits an arm drag. Regal reverses a neckbreaker drop, hits a European uppercut, then lays in more knee strikes, followed by a butterfly suplex. Danielson dropkicks Regal out of the ring when he gets whipped into the ropes again, then hits a suicide dive. After getting him into the ring, Danielson locks in the LEBELLE LOCK, but Regal is able to force the break. Danielson nails a top rope huracanrana, then hits some European uppercuts. Regal gets away from another surfboard, throws Danielson into the turnbuckle, and hits a big kick to the head.

Regal goes for a knee drop after this, but Danielson rolls out of the way. Regal again gets out of a surfboard, and goes for a left hand, which gets blocked, and Danielson nails a roundhouse kick to the head. He goes for the cover, but only gets a 2. He hits another top rope huracanrana, but again only gets 2. He then gets Regalback on the top rope, and hits a back superplex. Regal, however, shoves off another shoulder block attempt off the ropes, but Danielson again dodges a knee drop, kicks Regal in the head again, and locks in a GUILLOTINE CHOKE, forcing his teacher to submit. The two share a handshake in the middle of the ring after the match.

Match 8

vs. "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benoit

The Match
Benoit breaks a tie-up by throwing Danielson into the ropes, but gets nailed with a signature flying clothesline right from the get-go. Danielson hits his series of roundhouse kicks, stunning Benoit with one to the head, then hits a middle rope missile dropkick as Benoit gets up. After blocking a European uppercut, Benoit hits a belly-to-back suplex, then lays on his barrage of headbutts, then hits his hat trick of German Suplexes. Danielson lands on his feet after an attempted back body drop, and hits Benoit with a running misslie dropkick off the ropes as Benoit turns around, bouncing him off the opposite ropes, letting Danielson be able to roundhouse kick Benoit in the head, and lock in the LEBELLE LOCK. Benoit, however, forces a break.

Danielson hits some European uppercuts, but Benoit eventually wises up to the barrage, and starts to go for his headbutts, but Danielson takes one of Benoit's arms, and goes for a standing wristlock, but Benoit reverses yet again, and hits a snap suplex, and goes for a quick cover, but only gets 2. Benoit hits a kick to his downed opponent, and hits another belly-to-back suplex, but just as before, only gets a near-fall. Benoit goes to the top rope to attempt his signature flying headbutt deathjump, but Danielson springs back up, scurries up the ropes, and hits a super armdrag on the Rabid Wolverine, and is able to keep the arm held for another LEBELLE LOCK, but again, Benoit gets to the ropes. Danielson pulls Benoit away from the ropes, and immediately locks in a GUILLOTINE CHOKE, but Benoit gets out of it after a bit.

Danielson hits a back superplex, then locks in a lifting surfboard to try to wear down Benoit. He then hits a dropkick after whipping Benoit into the ropes. After another round of roundhouse kicks, Danielson forgoes the head kick, and instead hits a pair of dropkicks from either side of Benoit, then lays on some European uppercuts. Benoit is able to reverse another standing wristlock, and throws Danielson into the ropes himself, then blocks the American Dragon's attempt at a shoulder tackle. Benoit hits a belly-to-back suplex, then attempts another back body drop, which Danielson gets out of again, then kicks Benoit in the head with a roundhouse kick, and throws him into the ropes, but Benoit again blocks a shoulder tackle. Benoit hits another belly-to-back suplex, bridges it, and gets the pin on Danielson, the two sharing a handshake moment in the middle of the ring after this intense outing.

Match 9

vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger

The Match
Liger slaps Danielson in the face at the start of the match, and goes for a swinging neckbreaker, but Danielson avoids it, and lays on a barrage of European uppercuts. With Liger dazed, Danielson hits a off the ropes missile dropkick, then immediately locks in the GUILLOTINE CHOKE, but Liger is able to get to the ropes. Liger is propped on the top rope, and is hit with a top rope huracanrana. Danielson goes for another European uppercut, which is blocked, and Liger locks in a body scissors. Liger whips the American Dragon into the ropes, and hits him with a dropkick. He then runs the ropes himself, and hits a swinging headscissors, makes another rope run, and nails a running clothesline.

As Danielson gets up again, Liger hits a rolling koppo kick, then another running clothesline. Liger hits another dropkick off a rope rebound. Danielson is able to reverse another swinging headscissors, and goes for a dropkick of his own, but Liger avoids it, and hits another rolling koppo kick. Liger then absolutely nails Danielson with a shoda to stun him, then goes for a deathjump, but Danielson is quick to meet him. However, Liger pushes him off the top rope back to the mat, gets down, and nails a FISHERMAN BUSTER, only getting a 2. After a top rope huracanrana of his own, Liger climbs back up to the top rope, and hits the SHOOTING STAR PRESS, again only getting a 2. Liger hits the LIGER BOMB, but only gets 2 and a half. Liger then decides to wear down Danielson with a hanging surfboard, and after letting it go, he hits a running clothesline, Irish Whips Danielson into the ropes, and dropkicks him again. Liger hits a swinging headscissors in a way that Danielson goes towards the corner, and then hits a shoda as he turns around. Liger nails one final SHOOTING STAR PRESS for the victory.

Final Match

vs. "The Hearbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels

The Match
Danielson starts the match by throwing Shawn into the corner, but gets hit with a flying elbow smash as Danielson charges at him, as Shawn bounced off the corner. Michaels dropkicks Danielson over the middle rope, then lands a slingshot crossbody outside of the ring. He then gets Danielson back into the ring, and hits a flying forearm, then kips up. Michaels then his his trademark flying elbow, then goes back up for another dive, but Danielson hits a huge dropkick on his mentor, and goes for a pin, but only gets 2.

Danielson props Michaels back on the top, and hits a top rope huracanrana, then wrenches in a lifting surfboard. Danielson hits a German suplex, then lays on his flurry of roundhouse kicks, and goes for a pin after one to the head, but again only gets two. Danielson hits another top rope huracanrana, but his neckbreaker drop attempt gets reversed. Shawn hits a dropkick, and goes for an inverted atomic drop, but Danielson gets out of it, and hits a dropkick of his own. He then sends Shawn into the ropes, and attempts a sunset flip, but Michaels grabs the legs, and gets the final pinfall of the tour. Michaels shakes, then raises the hand of his former pupil, and everyone part of the Retirement Tour celebrate with Danielson, with everyone, in the ring and in the audience, taking part in a huge YES chant to celebrate the career of the American Dragon.

Great job on the tour.

It's really too bad that we could have had so many of these matches if Bryan hadn't had the injury (injuries).

I guess I should add...or contract (or other) conflicts.
