(Camera pans over the city and settles into an old warehouse)
(At the ringside announce table sits Todd Grisham and the great and devious Ultramantis Black)
The announcers welcome you to the newest and potentially greatest pro wrestling promotion in the country Charm City Underground. Right now let's throw it up our ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker with a special introduction.
Gavin Loudspeaker hypes up the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the owner of Charm City Underground M.W. Jergs!
(A man dressed in a sporty suit steps into the ring smiling to the crowd."
"Hello everyone. All my life I have loved professional wrestling. Not sports entertainment. Pro wrestling. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to run my very own wrestling promotion and with some sound investments paying off I can finally do that. I promise to all of you that come here to the Pit in Fells Point live or watch us on television of the internet that you will see the best wrestling available today. For example tonight's main event pits two men on opposite ends of their careers - one is considered one of the greatest young wrestlers in the world in Adam Cole, while the other has held championships all over the world in Rob ... Van .... Dam!
Now I hope to bring...
(Jergs is interrupted by Jim Cornette who is walking towards the ring with his own microphone.)
"Hold on a moment you can't have a wrestling show without the greatest mind this business has ever seen, that being myself of course. So let's get this show on the road!"
(Jergs looks absolutely confused)
"Jim, what are you doing here?"
"What do you mean partner? We've been setting this thing up for months we just never quite settled on what you wanted my role to be - head booker, on-air commissioner? I can do it all."
(Jergs still looks confused)
"Um Jim. We never agreed to anything. You were talking so much the last time we met I don't think you quite understood that I decided to go on my own with this."
(Cornette pushes optimistically forward)
"What? You don't have any experience running a promotion. Come'on let's go to the back and flesh out the details."
"Ok Jim, if it will get you out of the ring. Sorry about this fans. Let's start the show!"
(M.W. Jergs walks out with a disgusted look as Jim Cornette follows behind still talking his ear off.)
1) Cedric Alexander defeated Dalton Castle (w/The Boys) with OVERTIME @ 5:25.
-Alexander was able to stay focused after Castle's preening and mind games before the match. He reversed the situation outside the ring and hit a huge Frog Splash for the count. The usually reserved Alexander didn't stop there as he continued his attack on Castle landing the Lumbar Check. The Boys attempted to intervene but they were sent to the floor. Finally Moose hit the ring to restore order as Alexander rolled out of the ring to boos from the crowd.
*Castle is injured 1 card
Backstage: (M.W. Jergs and Jim Cornette are in an office)
MWJ; "Look Jim I have a ton of respect for you but you just aren't listening. You see -
JC: "Pretty good first match huh. Though we need to make a few changes. You do realize that you have some guy at the announce table dressed as an insect, right?
MWJ: Um yeah, Jim. Look I'm trying to be delicate about this because you clearly are delusional. This isn't-
(A knock on the door reveals - The Young Bucks - Matt & Nick Jackson. They both make a face upon seeing Cornette.)
MJ: Whoa. What is this guy doing here? You told us that he wasn't involved.
NJ: Yeah, I thought you wanted this thing to work? You don't bring this old fossil who thinks it's still 1986.
MWJ: Guys do you need anything? Give us a minute.
JC: Yeah can't you see the adults are talking you spot monkeys? Now beat it before I fine you on general principle.
(Bucks slowly leave smirking.)
JC: Can you believe those punks? Who let them in the building? You didn't book them did you? Don't worry I'll do some checking around and I'll make sure those two are thrown out.
(Cornette quickly exits, while Jergs lets out a huge sigh.)
2) Moose defeated "Magnum" Joey Ryan with the SPEAR @ 3:17.
-Ryan got in little offense against the hometown favorite. Moose used two scoop slams to set up a huge Spear for thr three count.
Backstage: (M.W. Jergs is on his cell phone as Jim Cornette burst through the door.)
JC: Hey you did book them. That's a mistake. They have a contract that is binding so I can't kick them out. But I can take care of it. Don't worry I got this.
(Jergs goes back to talking and shrugs his shoulders.)
3) Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) defeated The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) when Daniels hit ANGEL'S WINGS on Nick @ 12:05.
-An exciting competitive tag bout that saw both teams get in some high impact offense. The match changed when Jim Cornette came out to intentionally distract the Nick Jackson after all four men were brawling in the ring. This gave Daniels the opening to hit Angel's Wings for the pinfall. M.W. Jergs was out through the curtain admonishing Cornette who just laughed.
Backstage: (M.W. Jergs is yelling at Jim Cornette in the hallway)
MWJ: What the hell are you doing?
JC: Taking care of business, brother.
MWJ: You don't work here! Listen enough is enough. We don't have an agreement. You are not employed by me. So get the hell out of my arena now!
JC: (puzzled) Are you saying your firing me?
MWJ: You were never hired! Moose help Mr. Cornette find the door.
(Moose walks over and leads Cornette away)
JC: This is a huge mistake. You'll regret this!
-TV Main Event-
4) Adam Cole defeated Rob Van Dam with the FLORIDA KEY @ 13:08.
-Van Dam received a huge ovation when he was introduced. The two exchanged offense as the bout spilled to the floor. Van Dam threw Cole into the ringpost and then rolled him back in. Suddenly, the Young Bucks walked out to ringside and began cheering Cole on. The distraction helped as Cole landed a stiff superkick. Both men struggled to their feet and Cole went for another but Van Dam dodged and he smacked the official instead. Van Dam gained control and went to the top rope but was pushed off by Nick Jackson and then superkicked by Matt. Cole then hit the Florida Key as the groggy official counted three. After the match a 3 on 1 attack continued until Christopher Daniels and Kazarian evened the odds.
