Hi
Seeing as a run my feds as 70s/80s inspired 'wrasslin' shows, I'm always using the enhancement talent such as Rodz, South, Sharpe, Mr X to help get some of my guys over quickly.
I've been digging around and noticed that a few folks have previously used old COTG guys as enhancement talent. Seeing as I know very little about COTG, could someone please kindly point me in the direction of such cards?
I'm always happy use official cards over bootlegs so would be happy to purchase a COTG set or two if it including guys I could use in this role, particularly if they are 'human.' I'd probably change up their names if not suitable.

Well the original set of 24 will give you several undercard stats, you can use Omega, Pulsar, Beast-Rider, Vanity and the masked Death Knight and Ghenghis Khan could also be used as a slightly better jobber

most of the bash sets also have plenty of job guys. NXT as well for color cards (though three of them are clearly not human)
2088 is pretty good too as you have Adam Blast, The Creeper (not human) Reptillo (not human) and Man-Mountain, but if you ignore the art, they work just fine. Nothing weirder than some Chikara or certain Japanese feds.

I'm on the same endless quest. My regional Mid-America Wrestling promotion has populated its lower card with the likes of George South, Johnny Rodz, S.D. Jones, Virgil, Larry Sharpe, Jim Powers, Cousin Luke, Wild Bill White and Ron Hutchison. Right now I'm also considering using my free Championship Wrestling from Hollywood cards as enhancement talent in my promotion: Big Duke as a scrappy babyface, Cabrera and Darevko as a foreign heel tandem, and Bateman as an oddball under the sway of lead heel Kevin Sullivan (perhaps a wannabe). Back in the days when the AWA was broadcasting from the Showboat in Las Vegas, they had a working agreement with a California wrestling school and indy promotion run by Billy Anderson. Anderson's indy crew would work enhancement on AWA television shows. So the idea has an actual precedent in reality.

Another option is take some mid card guys that are just a tad bit too powerful to accomplish what you want and tweak their stats. For instance use the higher pin # but add tokens to it like the lower one. Also turn some level 3 offensive moves to 2 and some 2 to 1. This way they are not as tough and you have some jobbers who can easily be moved up the ladder as need be.

Yeah, so if I run with this idea, I will follow suit and use the Hollywood guys as a crew that comes in together occasionally to do my TV only. As another poster suggested, I may need to adjust their stats slightly downward so they "do the job" so to speak. |
