They will meet again as part of “Tag Wars Night One” and the winner of this one has to be in the running for a shot at the Super Indy Title in the very near future. Will Pearce find his way to even more gold in his career or will Willie Mack power his way to the top of Super Indy?.

Well... Things went nowhere near what I expected in the tag tourney... Briscoes out... WGTT out... C&C out... And even though SCUM did in fact lose to the Colony, it was not via DQ as I had predicted... This is why I never go to the casino...
Most of the matches seemed to be over rather quickly, but that did not prevent them from having some great spots... Masada's victory over Havoc makes him the Deathproof Prince... And watching The Mack fly was truly exciting...
Super Indy continues to be Super Entertainment!

I enjoyed the first night of Tag Wars but like Pariah I was also surprised by some of the teams eliminated. We are now left with The Colony, Future Shock, and Swiss Money, Inc (I was a big fan of that team during their CHIKARA run). The Los Banditos DDQ Mark & Jay Briscoe was disappointing with both teams being eliminated. As for the rest of the show congrats to Mike Quackenbush on a successful version one title defense against Drake Younger and I enjoyed the big wins for Roderick Strong, Willie Mack and Masada.

Thanks for the feedback and for following along. The first round of the tournament was full of surprises for sure and the matches did fall short of expectation in some cases. Sometimes the dice run cold. I knew there would be a couple of stinkers when I decided to expand the tournament to 16 teams rather than 8 but it has made for some interesting upsets along the way so far. Will that continue in the bottom half of the draw is the big question. The battle for the Super Indy Tag Team Titles continues on September 10th as Super Indy presents “Tag Wars Night Two” at the Ferris Lane Community Church in Barrie ** 1st Match Announcement** With several top seeds from the top half of the draw out in the first round, the focus for the Super Indy Tag Team Titles has turned to the bottom half of the draw where the top team is the number two seed, Navajo Warrior & Hawaiian Lion, The Tribe. Their opponents will be a team that has struggled to date but has the potential to score the upset, Philly’s Most Wanted. Both teams know how to brawl so this one should be hard hitting and feature plenty of action both in and out of the ring.

** 2nd Match Announcement** The Young Bucks looked very impressive in action earlier this year and will be looking to go deep into the tournament as the number three seed. Their first round opponents are the popular tandem of Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton, The Throwbacks. This one should have a very quick pace and some entertaining action from start to finish.

** 3rd Match Announcement** Joey Ryan and Scorpio Sky, collectively known as the Dynasty, have turned some heads in their Super Indy appearances to date and may be the dark horse team to claim the Super Indy Tag Team Titles. They have a tough task ahead of them as they will face the American Wolves in the opening round of the Super Indy Tag Team Title Tournament. The Wolves were anything but impressive in their tag team debut but tore the house down in their series of singles contests against one another. Will the tension from their singles matches spill over into this match and cost the Wolves the win or will Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards regain their championship form and move onto the next round?
