Winter Warfare was a good show and I have to say I enjoyed the quick main event finish with Cole & Ryan retaining the tag titles. What will become of The Tribe now? That will be a difficult loss to rebound from.
I really loved the opener with Ultramantis Black beating Larry Sweeney in the Deathproof Match. UMB is one of my favorites so very cool to see him win. Another one of my favorites, Cheerleader Melissa, earned a huge win over Madison Eagles and Allison Danger. Looking forward to seeing Melissa get the title shot. Kingston vs. Castagnoli brough back good memories of their real life rivalry in CHIKARA. Great stuff.

LIVE PRO WRESTLING! January 14, 2017 Super Indy Norther Lights Presents “SKY HIGH” @ CWF Studios, St. Catharines, Ontario
A HUGE Double Main Event has been announced for Super Indy Northern Lights “Sky High”
Don’t miss Super Indy Northern Lights first shot of 2017!
Double Main Event Announcement! Two action pact encounters signed for January 14th!
First Up . . . .
A title match over two months in the making. It was back on November 4th that Mike Quackenbush lost the Super Indy Title to Adam Pearce and he has patiently awaited his contractual rematch. Quackenbush will wait no longer as he will get his opportunity to regain the Title on January 14th when he steps into the ring with the current Super Indy Champion Kevin Steen.
Fans will recall it was back at Super Indy Gold on July 23rd when Quackenbush won the title actually besting Steen in the final leg of a the three stage match that was an absolute war. The two then clashed again for the Super Indy Title at Super Indy “Fight!” on October 29th and on that night Quackenbush retained the title.
Will Quackenbush find a way to become a two time Super Indy Champion or will the Steen further established his dominance by claiming the win over Quackenbush that has eluded him so far?
Main Event #1 Super Indy Title Match Super Indy Champion Kevin Steen Vs. Mike Quackenbush
In a decision that might raise some eyebrows both in the Elite locker room and with fans, Super Indy Elite Champion Saraya Knight will make her first title defence. However the challenger will not be Cheerleader Melissa despite her victory last week. Instead, it will be Athena who gets the first opportunity at the new champion.
Promoters have advised that Melissa will still have her shot at the gold down the road, but it remains to be seen who will she will be facing at that time, the current champion Saraya Knight or the upstart challenger Athena!

On a card filled with sme great bouts it was the shortest one that gained my attention. That dominant win by Kevin Steen over Mike Quackenbush in the main event was epic. Who will stop Steen and take away that Super Indy title? Adam Cole & Joey Ryan are proving to be strong Super Indy tag champs and that was a great win they had over The Colony.
Match of the night for me was the six-man tag with Team F.I.S.T. beating Jeez, Sky and Lethal. That was epic. Coming in a close second was Roderick Strong with his big win over El Generico. I was really hoping to see Athena strike gold but Saraya Knight is both tough and merciless and showed that she will do anything to retain her title.

Gotta say that our good friend, cruefan68, has hit most of the major speaking points... Have to add that I am thoroughly enjoying the title run of Adam Cole and Joey Ryan - I can just almost visualize the conceit oozing from their pores each time they enter the ring... Excellent stuff!

Thanks the comments cruefan68 . Steen’s victory was a shocker especially considering the previous encounters between the Steen & Quackenbush in the past. Steen’s card mechanic is really strong so he may be a dominate champion. The six man tag was a lot of fun to play out but I was really hoping for a stronger performance out of Jeez & Sky. Thinking a new direction may be required for that combo. Strong v. Generico was also a fun match to roll out. I have to agree with Pariah , the run of Ryan and Cole has been a real highlight for me. The pairing came about as a result of the Dave Marquez card and that fact they won the gold and managed to maintain it has been just awesome. So far the Wolves, Briscoes and WGTT have been outside the title picture and that will not last forever. We will have to see have Ryan & Cole fair when matched up against some of the heavy hitters. Since October, Homicide and Rhino have done whatever it takes to beat each other into oblivion. There battles have raged across the Province with each encounter becoming more intense and more violent. Things appeared to be over in December at Hardcore Holiday when Homicide emerged victorious in an encounter that left both men battered, broken and bloody. However, Rhino has raised the bar and issued a final challenge to Homicide and Homicide has never been one to turn down a fight. This time they battle in the CAGE OF DEATH. Two men will enter Super Indy’s most dangerous match and one will leave the final and ultimate victor in this feud

The Super Indy Tag Team Champions Joey Ryan & Adam Cole have been put to the test several times since capturing the Titles back in November but they have walked away each time with the gold. The next challengers for the Tag Team Titles will be a team that has already risen to top of the tag team division once already, Incoherence. Will the speed and experience of Hallowicked & Frightmare be able to stop the momentum of the champions or will Joey Ryan & Adam Cole prove themselves once again against another former championship team.
