CENTRA PERENNIAL Promos:
MANDRILL - “Finally the moment Mandrill conquers and colonizes Centra has arrived. The Heavyweight belt will be mine and I promise Anarchy and his fellow Brymstonians will be spared slavery once deposed. Do the correct thing and don’t try to fight this”
MALEPH - “Title belts have little value to Brymstonians. Our goal is and always will be to create carnage no matter who the opponent is. We won’t go easy on anybody”
SNIPER - “Sorry Ms. Liberty. I know you’ve had a rough few years and I can understand how family rifts can be upsetting. However you are trying to take what I’ve got and will be made to regret that. Maybe after we can be friends tho”
MS. LIBERTY - “I know I’m the underdog but Sniper will do well not to underestimate. I’ve proven I have moved on. If I win this belt I will dedicate it my beautiful son. The one good thing that came out of my marriage”
TWIN BLOOD - Dreggs speaking “records are there to be broken. We have got so close and are not about to let the Titans stop us. They are a team we respect but far too nice to be champions”.
TITAN ATTACK - Lord Nexus speaking “whatever happens I am and aways will be proud my team. They deserve their big chance to be champions again as it’s been a long time. It will be a fantastic match”.
COMMANDO SAM - “Reynard B. Guile makes my skin crawl. The FDF will destroy his new team and punish them all for being code breakers. Pegasus will soon realise it’s better to be with us than against us”.
PEGASUS - “I am free of Sam’s shackles and will show him I am still the GOAT. Reynard gives me space and appreciates my talent. I’d actually forgotten how great a manger he is since my earliest days in the GWF”.
THUNDER - “I am better than this match against Blade. The GWFC will regret booking this mismatch. I’ll wipe the floor with him and then start upon my path to belt glory”.
BLADE - “Gladiators are almost as bad as Brymstonians. They are capable of murder in just the same way. I will wrestle Thunder with the same passion. Any match I win is always dedicated to my late brother”.
CORPORAL AEGIS - “It is my duty to serve and protect the people of Centra in every capacity whether that is on the battlefield or in the ring. The cage match with Painmaster is a dangerous challenge but one that I thrive upon”.
PAINMASTER - “I am and always have been a senior member of the Colonizers. Mandrill trusts me to do a job unlike that the stinking traitor Tocsin. Corporal Aegis tomorrow night is a mere stepping stone to Tocsin”.
WOLF - “Owoooooo. It’s a good job Grovel lacks intelligence or it would be having sleepless nights about facing me. Hardcore matches are what I live for and they don’t come much more hardcore than a 4 Weapons match. I’m sooooo excited”
DREADNAUGHT - “I am not sure I like the idea of a Coffin match but if it gets me booked then I am game. I don’t think anyone will complain if I lock Sir Ender in it and accidentally on purpose lose the key”
SIR ENDER - “Dreadnaught is another beast that must be vanquished. The people of Centra don’t appreciate me but they will be relieved when he is gone and thank for me it. His Ravager-like appearance scares kids”
ANAXIS - “Nora Pelf won’t like being my servant after her spoiled life and upbringing. I have some very, very humiliating plans for when she loses”
NORA PELF - “Anaxis has no respect for herself. She lets her team treat her like sh*t and then treats everyone else the same. Maybe it’ll be good for her to serve me as I can help change the way she conducts her life”
MALICE AND OVERKILL - Malice speaking “the GWFC is about to feel the full wrath of the Gladiators. I don’t even know who we are supposed to be wrestling and I don’t really care. Everyone is our enemy now”
SKINHEAD - “Excited is not a big enough word. Thank you to all the fans who support me and thank you to my great manager for backing me. I will do my best not to let you down against Terminus”
TERMINUS - “Skinhead is overrated. Prodigy tells me all the time that it was him and not Skinhead that carried their team years ago. He’s even given me some special tips and I now know all the weaknesses to exploit”
THE BETRAYERS - Wraith speaking “everyone’s getting excited about the Ravagers. You are all fools for trusting them. They have sinister intentions. We will bring them down. The people of Centra will be far safer ruled by Colonizers rather than Ravagers”.
We got no comments from Grovel, Theatre of Pain or the Ravagers.

CARD 1155 – CENTRA PERENNIAL – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Absolute sell out for the first supercard of the year. Fans are desperate to catch another sighting of the Ravagers even though they are involved in a relatively low key match against the Betrayers. The main event is an all villainous affair which is probably what the GWFC didn’t really want to be promoting. A clever tagline of “let them tear each other apart” was used to bring some justification to it.
Mandrill is in total control to defeat Anarchy and become new Heavyweight champ. Mandrill could not believe it when Wolf joined the Brymstonians to clear his path to this title shot. However he did not get off the hook that easily as he still had to face Wolf in Antilia. Wolf did some telling damage for his new teammate to prey upon. That cinder block had left Mandrill with a headache that didn’t go away for days. One advantage Mandrill did have though was Rouser being at ringside and causing a lot of noise. Surely he’d prove a more effective distraction than Sentry ever was. The chance of being blasted accidentally was gone and the DQ risk slightly lessened. Even though Mandrill wasn’t even facing a ROC member Rouser was holding up a sign saying “down the ROC” and chanting it. He was so irritating and when someone complained about him obstructing the view Rouser simply turned and tried to whack the well known super fan in the face with his sign. When Maleph then tried to dive bomb Rouser it actually got a cheer. Probably the first time ever a Brymstonian has been cheered. Mandrill doesn’t try to protect Rouser during this segment. His eyes are firmly on the prize. He doesn’t meet a great amount of resistance as Anarchy is below par. Mandrill was able to control large chunks of the match. It took a while to bring out some of the bigger moves. Although the Voltaic Stunner does a great job of nibbling away at Anarchy’s energy reserves. When Anarchy did get a run of offence he was just obsessed with chucking Mandrill out of the ring so Maleph might feast upon him. It doesn’t work as Mandrill is able to return to the ring every time. He was helped by Rouser using his sign to ward off Maleph effectively. It actually gave Mandrill ample opportunity to recover. Mandrill then finally countered yet another attempt to throw him out and Anarchy ended up on the deck instead. Mandrill didn’t mess around from this point on. His attempt with MUTANT MAULER served notice that he was now going for the kill. Anarchy kicked out of that only to then get hoisted up for a Prime Piledriver. Taking a leaf out of Anarchy’s book the move was made more effective as Rouser quickly laid his sign under the bottom rope. Anarchy’s head driven into it and he was just about ready to be pinned. Maleph failed to distract as Rouser was so quick to get his sign back out and prod him away. Was really showing his worth over Sentry with all this. Mandrill pulls Anarchy centrally into the ring and mockingly stands on him with one foot to win the match. There is stunned silence as he is handed the belt. He invites everyone to bow before their new ruler. Of course nobody does. However his standing in a spotlight as lights dim and holding the belt out in front of him provides an eerie thumbnail of the event.
Tag champs, Twin Blood, keeps their reign going by beating Titan Attack. Twin Blood has now held the belts for 52 cards. It’s the third longest reign on record. The record for the longest reign, Brute and Massacre at 64 cards, is within sight. Dreggs says of this “we aren’t thinking about setting any records, just take each match as it comes and see where it takes us”. The recent slip up in a non-title match with their rivals Disorder X did at least show they aren’t unbeatable. Many fans were sitting on the fence due to the immense popularity of both teams. Even DM on commentary despite all his Titan background says “I don’t care who wins. I’m just ready to sit back and watch will be a feast for the eyes. Two of the greatest teams ever finally wrestling a title match”. Hopefully managers wouldn’t ruin it. Certainly no need to worry about Lord Nexus. Johnny Rocket, on the other hand, might get involved. He may of been preaching that he has huge respect for Lord Nexus and will stay hands off. However if the chips are down would he be able to resist? Especially with breaking the belt record so close. We’ll never know whether he’d of kept his promise as Twin Blood does it again with an impressive victory. Titan Attack were fast starters and working in tandem well. Hints that Twin Blood may finally of met their match. However a double team Catapult Smash initiated by Sleeze on Ursa Major seems to change the complexion of things. Puts Dreggs into the ring in a strong position and he doesn’t relinquish control. Ursa Major cannot stave him off and falls to DREGGS OF DEFEAT. It’s a shame as everyone thought Titan Attack might run Twin Blood closer but it wasn’t to be. Goods sportsmanship was on display though as both teams shook hands at the conclusion.
Ladies champ, Sniper, blew away Ms. Liberty. Sniper starts 2111 with a bang. Her association with the Terrorists doesn’t seem to of harmed her popularity although the fans were slightly more on the side of Ms. Liberty. Sadly Ms. Liberty just couldn’t rise to the occasion. At times even seemed to be daydreaming. Maybe she was remembering her old life with US. Traitor. Sniper took full advantage and just repeatedly fired off TARGET PRACTICE until Ms. Liberty could take no more. I lost count how many times it was used. Even though Cygnus Strikeforce had no business being at the event having not been booked they made their presence felt. Ms. Liberty got back the ladies locker room to find her old wedding dress hanging in there. It was vandalised. US. Traitor obviously the suspect but it may of been Taechon as she/he would have been allowed access to the locker room. Either way Adam just refuses to let Ms. Liberty get on with her life. Ms. Liberty brands him sick and defiantly refuses to allow herself to cry. She just dumps the dress in the trash on her way out of the venue.
FDF crushed the Great Comeback in a Titan Death Battlezone match. Tense match for Commando Sam. Underneath all his bellowing about the code he must be pretty worried about the strength of his team. The FDF looked so strong at the beginning of last year only to end it terribly. Then he loses two of his most prized assets. Even though Pegasus might of lost a step Sam is not sure that Archon is capable of filling his shoes. Of course his opposite number Reynard B. Guile feels different emotions. After a quiet 2110 he’s like a kid in a sweet shop with his signings and intends to hunt all the men’s belts and prove to Centra “that I am the greatest manager in history”. For the sake of a decent match both managers are taken out the equation by making every match Titan Death. We get a huge surprise as an unexpected star comes to the fore for the FDF. Here’s how it went … Euritar gets off to a good start as he beats Ruin. Even though Euritar’s brawling skills leave a lot to be desired his agility more than makes up for it. He is able to use HEADS WILL ROLL to send Ruin packing … Rack evens it up by defeating Euritar. The more explosive offence of Rack gives Euritar far more problems. Rack wins by virtue of RACKED AND RUINED … Rack beats Hydrax to give the FDF control. Two guys more known for their tag exploits. On paper more problematic for Hydrax as he has doesn’t really have a potent finisher in his armoury. Rack proves to be a real trooper for his team as he wins again via RACKED AND RUINED. However Hydrax didn’t make it easy and sends him into the next match with 4 fatigue tokens … Rack stuns Pegasus with a fast victory. Over in just 3 moves. Pegasus arrogantly thinks this will be a walk in the park. He hits the first move which is a Tomahawk Thrust and then starts showboating as Rack falls through the ropes. That was a fatal error as Rack grabbed him by the legs and dragged Pegasus out with him. Pegasus was thrown face first into the ring post. On returning to the ring he was still groggy and got wasted with RACKED AND RUINED … Rack finishes Daeman off to win the whole match for the FDF. Lady Luck shines on Rack. There was a ref bump for 10 moves and he would surely of lost during this as Daeman uses IRON HAND several times and Rack is up to 7 tokens. However on the tenth move Rack wins an outside brawl and turns things in a way. Daeman cannot handle this sudden surge and like his teammates falls to RACKED AND RUINED. It was a truly incredible performance by Rack. Both Archon and the Code Enforcer were chomping at the bit to get into the action but were not even needed.
Thunder rolls over Blade in a Scorpi King of the Ring match. This has to be Thunder’s breakout year. He flattered to deceive in 2110. Like Malice and Overkill earlier on he wanted to face a higher profile opponent than a “snot nosed brat like Blade. At least his mummy won’t be able to protect him in a match like this”. Blade thinks Thunder is wrong to underestimate him. He is hurting over the disloyalty of Archon and whilst it would be counterproductive to face a fellow hero someone is going to feel the brunt of his anger. Maybe Thunder is that someone. Unfortunately he finds Thunder just too much to handle. Thunder quickly gets Blade’s pin rating up to 10. However it’s at this point Blade hints at a fight back and BLADE OF RETRIBUTION hits the mark to put at least a bit of damage on Thunder. Proves to be only a temporary respite though. Thunder used THE TEMPEST freely throughout and by the time he finally went for the win Blade had an astonishing 16 tokens. He was just standing like a zombie after all that punishment. Rather than just toss him Thunder goes for added effect. Showing he has immense power as well as explosive moves by gorilla pressing Blade and dumping him over the top rope from a great height.
Painmaster overcomes Corporal Aegis in a Cosmic Cage match. Everytime Aegis wrestles the pop just gets bigger and bigger. He emerges to the biggest ovation of the event by far. The cage set before him would provide the ideal battlefield. He chooses to climb in so he can stop at the top and salute the crowd. It also gives him a chance to survey the surrounding area just in case anyone uninvited is lurking. He watches Painmaster all the way when he is heading down the runway. Thoughts in his head that if Tocsin could turn against the Colonizers maybe he can too. He thinks Painmaster is confused. Although Painmaster does seem to be more back on the inside than he was several months ago. Whilst everyone is confident in Aegis to do the job there is a worry Painmaster might be a little too fast and experienced for him in the cage setting. Aegis made a very strong start and had Painmaster on the ropes in the early minutes. Crowd at fever pitch when Opening Salvo comes but he cannot convert it into CORPORAL PUNISHMENT. A vital let off for Painmaster although having met with the bars during the move he didn’t think so at the time. Aegis doesn’t build upon it though. He backs off and beckons Painmaster onto him. Just gave him far too much recovery time and Painmaster on catching Aegis with a cheap kick to the groin as they were about to lock up again gets control. Aegis then meets with the steel bars far too many times. The crowd senses things are not going well and tries to encourage Aegis to respond. Instead he walks right into a Colonizer Claw Grip. Desperate attempts made to prise the fingers off fail. Painmaster grinds away forcefully and although Aegis never gives up mentally his body gives way to the force of it. With Aegis on the deck Painmaster chooses the cowards way out and hops out the door. One last lunge at him from the floor by Aegis sees him almost grab a leg. Just not enough of it and Painmaster gets out for a deeply unpopular win. Post match Aegis seeks to reassure the fans “tonight I have lost the battle but I will win the war with the Colonizers”.
Grovel shocks Wolf to win their 4 Weapons of Destruction match. The much anticipated Wolf-Genocide match is being held back. GALACTICON is the probable stage although that’s a really long time to wait. Wolf doesn’t care so long as he’s got a hardcore match and they don’t come much more hardcore than a 4 Weapons match. Would Grovel understand the concept enough to cope? It might be smarter than we think having been successfully convinced to become a member of the Centaurians by Ventross. Some fans haven’t got their head around Wolf being a villain yet and still cheer him passionately. However support swings during the match as Grovel defies the odds to defeat Wolf. It’s not the first time Grovel has beaten Wolf having triumphed in a Lava Pit match early last year. Like then Wolf will be looking for revenge. Thinking logically the outcome was not as surprising as it might seem. Grovel’s plethora of add 1 moves lent itself nicely to the match concept. Having no finisher didn’t hurt him at all. It was just a question of whether it could stay on offence enough. That didn’t pose a problem and Wolf rarely got his hands on any of the weapons on offer. After a promising start that saw SAVAGE FACE CLAW used Wolf just buckled under all the primitive moves. Grovel focusing on repetition with things like head butts and Throat Drivers. When it did use a weapon it was mainly the stun rod as the weapon of choice. Finally it wrapped the attached chain around Wolf’s throat whilst using a Face Smothering. With Wolf’s air cut off he slumped into unconsciousness and the ringside ref called the match. Worse was to come for Wolf as he was diagnosed with an injury that will last 6 cards as a result. It seemed a bit high given what happened during the match so let’s say that an unwanted backstage clash with Genocide happened once Wolf had recovered. He was in a weak state already from this and it gave him little chance in what was labelled as a boiler room brawl and saw Wolf take a great many shots with various metal pipes.
Dreadnaught buries Sir Ender in the first ever Centra Coffin match. Sir Ender wants make a big name for himself having failed miserably last year. He decides that he wants to be the one to finish Dreadnaught off because “he is a Ravager in disguise” and dreams up this Centra Coffin match idea. Although Dragonmaster on commentary fails to give Sir Ender credit as said he actually stole the idea from the Ravagers. Doesn’t matter who created the match it’s deemed a good idea and the booking was made. It ends up being quite a long match. More down to the ineptitude of the combatants rather than it being classic wrestling. It’s entertaining nonetheless. Sir Ender gave everyone a good laugh as he went for his comical ROYAL PAIN finisher at one point and made a pigs ear of it and hurt himself in the process. He did try it again a bit later and actually succeed on that occasion. What attempts were made to put each other into the coffin were generally laboured and always failed. As time ticked on Dreadnaught, despite his poor conditioning, was looking the more likely winner. Sir Ender was getting clumsier by the minute. That was epitomised when he then charges at Dreadnaught who manages to move out the way. Sir Ender suffers rotten luck as he falls out the ring and straight into the coffin. The lid then slams shut of its own accord to bring the curtain down. As the coffin is wheeled away muffled sounds could be heard from within as Sir Ender screams for help. Wonder if they’ll bother letting him out. As for Dreadnaught, we always breathe a sigh of relief when he makes it through a match. He lives to fight another day!
Nora Pelf beats Anaxis by DQ in a Servant match. The conditions of this match are that the loser will become a servant to the other and their team for the next month. Anaxis ups the ante by saying Nora, in her servant role, will be stripped and forced to do her chores naked in front of all the Team CPC members. Johnny Rocket fumes on hearing such a disrespectful comment. He tries to barge past officials and get to ringside to make sure Nora wins. However he is held back as the conditions forbade managers from being there. Instead he has to watch from a monitor backstage and is seen biting his nails throughout. Anaxis is obviously the better wrestler and hot favourite to win. The initial flow of the match backs that up as she is always seemingly one step ahead. On clamping a Grecian Sleeper Grip it doesn’t look like Nora can last out. Just as she is about to fade and have her arm dropped by the ref a third and final time she sparks into life and drags herself towards the rope. Anaxis hangs on with the hold but cannot stop it. The rope is just about reached and the hold gets broken by the ref. As Anaxis argues with the ref over it Nora slips under the bottom rope for a chance to catch breath. Anaxis is visibly annoyed and when she realises Nora is outside she jumps over the top to get at her. Grabbing Nora by the hair and planting her face first into the ring steps. She shouts “I’m going to ruin your looks. No man will go near you”. As she repeated the move the bell rings. Anaxis is disqualified. Suddenly she panics. Realisation that a month of serving Nora Pelf now awaits sets in. She tries to refuse citing it was only valid on a pin or submission. It’s a futile argument and the ring announcer informs everyone that he has had a message from the Commissioner to say that if Anaxis does not comply then she will be banned from the GWFC for the rest of the year. Some security now descend on the ring to drag her off kicking and screaming.
Malice and Overkill too strong for Theatre of Pain. Malice and Overkill none too impressed to be facing Theatre of Pain. However they need to earn the right to bigger matches after falling below expectations last year. Theatre of Pain never say too much although Comedy, through some cackling, says the Gladiators will regret underestimating them. He might be right as Theatre of Pain has beaten plenty of top teams over the years and are fresh from winning their off the wall feud against the Clones. Ultimately though it ends in tragedy for Theatre of Pain. Early fanciful moves from Comedy soon snuffed out as the Gladiators move into gear. Poor Comedy feels UNSTOPPABLE FORCE twice and somehow hangs on in the match via one kick out and also a pin save. The Gladiators were a bit exasperated by this failure to finish him and took their eye off the ball for a while. Theatre of Pain proving to be tricky customers and making a fight off it. That was until Overkill got a rollicking from Brute and upped his game again. Comedy got absolutely mauled at this point and succumbed to an Overkill Overhead Toss. The Gladiators stood in the ring for a minute afterwards just motionless and taking in the hostility towards them. You got a sense things will be very different for this tag team this year.
Terminus gets the better of Skinhead. No question that Skinhead revelling in his role as the top guy on the Rocketmen. He deserves the spot after conquering some inner demons last year and delivering surprisingly strong performances. He actually said of Paragon’s dismay “I don’t care what he thinks, nobody has a god given right to be the top guy. I deserve it. This is my time”. Of course wrestling is fickle and if he wants to stay where he is then the performances have to remain strong. Against a phenomenal talent like Terminus it was always going to be tough. Terminus has gotten even better if that’s even possible since last year. Considering he spent a portion of it as the Heavyweight champ that’s ominous. Skinhead gives him plenty of scares though. Taking advantage of the one weak spot Terminus has and that’s his agility. At -1 it’s not a weak but Skinhead’s is better and it afforded him lots of counters. One of which led to a close pin as BRASS NUCKS followed it. Thantos was enraged by the illegal move and complains. The ref waves him away every time. Just not interested. This probably was the wake up call Terminus needed as he gets better and better the longer it goes. His own finisher, HAMMERLOCK SLAM, was used with regularity. Skinhead tried to play down his potency with numerous kick outs. However he had to try and stop the move happening as it was taking a toll. When Terminus used it for the fourth time Skinhead had nothing left to give and is beaten.
The Betrayers burst the bubble of the Ravagers. What an opener. The fans are excited to see the Ravagers even though they are understandably wary. However the cheers for them are nothing compared to the heckling they give Trench. The guy is labelled a traitor and it’s a good job there are high barriers in place or else he’d of been lynched. Rouser is with them with his usual BAO sign. His commitment to that cause something of a joke given that he has joined the Colonizer team. He oversees a surprise win for the Betrayers. The Ravagers show inexperience in the match. They were in a really strong position only for Rankor to lose composure. He’d seen Rouser foil Ventross pinning Trench after RAVAGER FACE DROP with a distraction. His rage led to him demanding to be immediately tagged back in whereupon he throws Trench through the ropes so he could then go outside to snarl at and intimidate Rouser. By the time he went to fetch Trench back in he got struck in the gut with something. Possibly Trench’s metal rod. It’s the only explanation for the sudden turnaround. Trench has learned to take opportunities as quickly as possible. Whilst Rankor was hunched over he delivered DOUBLE ARM DDT. Not once but twice. A snake eyes roll then comes up to give the Ravagers a rude shock. Welcome to the GWFC!

CARD 1156 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Muted atmosphere in the Palladium tonight. Mandrill’s title victory has created a lot uncertainty. Some less educated citizens think his holding the belt means he is automatically in control and they are now under Colonizer rule. Also didn’t help that after 3 cards with hardly any DQ outcomes this one more than made up for it!
Centra champ, Mayhem, loses to Mutant by DQ. Unbelievable that the Centra belt is so important to the Gladiators. It’s the only symbol of domination they currently have and they are doing all they can to keep it at the moment. Brute is said to be considering gang attacks to be carried out against anyone who looks like they might come close to winning it. Surely they wouldn’t need to resort to that here as Mutant is the shock top contender having beaten Bloodline in a Lava Pit match. By no means was it easy though. This transevolved version of Mutant is much tougher and it gave Mayhem a torrid time. TEMPLE GRINDER three times in short succession is testament to that. Mayhem survives all that and then finally mounts some offence. Managing to deliver DANGER ZONE three times in a row. After that Mayhem thinks he has got it in the bag and goes for his risky LEAP OF DOOM. It misses though and he’s bang in trouble. Brute takes no risks and enters the ring to pummel Mutant and cause the DQ loss. Krakan didn’t dare incur the wrath of the Gladiators and doesn’t do anything to stop it. Not does he protest. Might Mutant get another shot after this? Rumour is it might now face Grovel in a top contender match. Who could ever of envisaged that?
Max Shield goes over Draconian Sheik by DQ. Max is under the microscope. Has underachieved for so long. He knows it only too well which is why he has tweaked his style. Also the fading reliability of his mutant shield powers have necessitated some of the changes. Drac and the Terrorists weren’t going to make this easy though. Max bossed the first few minutes only to get sucked into an outside brawl which allowed Drac to takeover and use all sorts of savagery. Max was then tossed out again and set upon by the Terrorists which caused the DQ. Max was not about to let them have their wicked way though. Manages to scramble and get hold of a chair. He is able to get enough hits in to get away down the runway unscathed despite being outnumbered.
Paragon somehow avoids defeat against Prodigy as he gets the DQ decision. Two guys with much to prove. Both trying to make their managers realise they are pushing the wrong guys in their team. Prodigy can probably feel hardest done by having finished last year as one of the hottest guys in the fed. Paragon is not in the strongest of spots though having lost to Vengeance a couple of cards ago. He needs to remind everyone of his capabilities. Instead it’s another bad day at the office for him as Prodigy dazzles. Through a mix of chicanery and exceptional talent Prodigy dominates. However he just cannot get Paragon pinned despite using his finisher numerous times. Only towards the end did Paragon show anything like he was capable of and he actually lucks in with a DQ win. The pair were engaging in a bit of rough and tumble outside the ring. The ref observed what he thought was a foreign object in Prodigy’s hand and called it. Prodigy had nothing on him but the stubborn ref refuse to reverse the decision and instead said the DQ was issued for excessive violence and ignoring repeated warnings.
Supernova wins a poor match with Thrash by DQ. Lots of talk about women wrestlers stepping into the ring against men this year. Although neither of these have shown much appetite for that. Probably not surprising for Supernova due to her athletic style. However would have thought Thrash would be chomping at the bit. Maybe it’s out of her hands and Brute has ordered her not to. Perhaps that was why she was hyped up here. No interest in wrestling. Just wanted a scrap. First opportunity she got took it outside. Threw Supernova into some tables and then just headed off down the runway. Not even waiting to hear the decision announced. She knew and didn’t care. Although she’d regret it later on learning that this was a top contender match. It just hadn’t been advertised as such.
Cygnus Strikeforce defeated Desolation Factor by DQ. Commando Sam is running close to the edge as it is. So to cross paths with Mangus just sets him off all the more. He shouts at him immediately “code breaking Cygnus scum” and goes for him only to be wiped out by a Patriot Missile by US. Traitor. Adam laughs and says “you taught me that move, I now call it the Cygnusian Cannonball”. However the laughing doesn’t last long as he is then bowled over from behind by Rack. He is the wrestler of the moment after his incredible at antics at CENTRA PERENNIAL. Together Rack and Ruin look like they would deliver a real butt-kicking. Only for Sam to spoil it. He was too worked up as after picking himself up off the floor and wields the same machete we saw in the opening show of the year. At this point Maelstrom was closest to him and looking in peril. Of course Sam never used it. The purpose is more of a deterrent. However there was no way the ref could allow threatening weapons to be on display.
The Team With No Name defeated Transformer. For the purposes of quickness we will refer to the two Jesters as the Clones even though it is not their official name. Doomsayer has another name for them though and it’s unrepeatable. Guess he must be pretty annoyed with the fact his supposed greatest creations Transformer are regularly stumbling. He certainly doesn’t want to be shown up by his old discarded project. Trouble is that’s exactly what happened as his malfunctioning team lost again. Confused by switches they never got to grips with the Clones. Monad was soon struck by Mad Jester Clone’s A DEAD MAN’S VERSE and got pinned. Doomsayer stopped Nth Degree trying a pin save so he could attempt a distraction but it failed despite the frantic arm waving. Mad Jester Clone didn’t get to celebrate at all. Nth Degree smashed him from behind with TWO HEADS ATE BETTER and then reanimated Monad who applied SURFBOARD SUBMISSION without releasing for about two minutes. The other Jester was unable to help as he’d been wiped out by Doomsayer wielding a chair. The net result of all this was a 2 card injury to the Jester Clone.

Latest News:
Worst fears realised as Mandrill wins the Heavyweight belt! Naturally he is now using it as a tool to create more fear and is saying within the next few months the people of this dimension will fall fully under his rule. Some citizens are already accepting the fate and as a result the Colonizers are gaining followers. Holding the belt is just giving Mandrill too much influence. For the sake of Centra he needs be deposed as champion as quick as possible.
Despite this major setback there have not been too many sightings so far of the ROC team since the press conferences apart from when they have appeared at matches. Certainly no more interviews. The Ravagers are especially elusive. Although they did have a winning debut on Primus against Animen Invasion before facing the Betrayers at CENTRA PERENNIAL in a losing effort. There’s a cloak of invisibility over the team as they deal with all sorts of stuff that is happening. Plus the teething issues with Rankor. It’s not stopping Mandrill trying to use social media to antagonise them. He refers to the Ravagers as a herd of Scavengers which is a very demeaning term in their race/society. Rankor replied on Centra Spacebook but the post was very quickly taken down. Ventross wants the team to conduct itself with dignity and doesn’t want to get into a war of words. So he probably insisted whatever was said had to be removed.
The Gladiators weren’t lying when they said they were ready to go on a rampage this year. They crushed more or less everything in their path this month. Thunder looked most impressive. This could finally be when he shines as Vengeance is hardly likely to get a big push with a murder conviction hanging over him. Thunder is probably the most well rounded wrestler in the fed. He can brawl, he packs decent power, has good agility, low pin rating, high intensity offence and great chart ratings. If he doesn’t win the Heavyweight belt soon I’ll be very surprised.
The spectre of Murdok is still hanging over everyone despite repeated public addresses to say that he is a myth. Fans were permitted to go to the small makeshift arena on Antilia for the opening card. Except nobody went out of fear. It was just the wrestlers, managers and GWFC officials.
Commissioner Morpheus announces that Commando Sam wielding a machete at ringside is unacceptable and any further sightings of the weapon will result in a lifetime ban. Sam angrily responds “I will comply but this shows how weak Morpheus is and why villains are running amok. I will just have to use my bare hands to protect my wrestlers”.
The action at CENTRA PERENNIAL was wild. Unfortunately the villains and especially the Colonizers had a good night. Mandrill winning the Heavyweight belt was the main headline. Twin Blood continued their march towards the record tag belt reign. This has put the Gladiators on alert as it’s the record of the legendary Brute and Massacre they could break. If you think their reign is impressive though then take a look at Sniper’s. She blew away Ms. Liberty to reach 71 cards as the ladies champion. With the likes of Amazonia hoping to dip their toes into men’s wrestling this reign might just get longer and longer. There was a big shock in the match before all the title matches. Reynard B. Guile’s Great Comeback fell flat on its face as Rack mowed his entire team down to give the FDF a dominating Battlezone victory. Most worryingly his prized asset Pegasus suffered one of his worst career moments. Losing to a tired Rack in just three moves. This result was a little lift for the hero team coming straight after the immense disappointment of Corporal Aegis losing a cage match to Painmaster. However this wasn’t the biggest shock of the night. That came courtesy of the 4 Weapons match which saw Grovel upset Wolf. Not sure Wolf is going just take that lying down. He’ll be back for Grovel at some point. It was night of shocks really as it all opened with the intimidating Ravagers losing to the Betrayers. They got shafted but Ventross made sure they kept their dignity and accepted the loss quietly. Overall it was a great show with lots of good matches.
Sir Ender is trying to sue the GWFC for what happened in his coffin match with Dreadnaught. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. He claims several things happened. First that the coffin was faulty and the lid should never of slammed shut in the way it did. Then goes onto complain that he could have died in there as someone locked it and he wasn’t let out for several hours. Of course that’s impossible as dozens of air holes are drilled into the coffin to prevent that happening. It’s not stopping Sir Ender from pursuing what seems to be a fruitless case against the GWFC hierarchy.
There’s been no word on Anaxis. It’s assumed that she has quietly accepted her fate and is performing servant duties for Nora Pelf. Even her own team show little concern for her. All Thantos said was “she’s a big girl and can take care of herself, there will be plenty of chores waiting for when she returns to our team in a few weeks”.
Rising Sun is announced as the first challenger to Mandrill. A surprise given he didn’t set things on fire in the latter part of 2110. However Commissioner Morpheus was so impressed with his match against Dark Justice (an early match of the year contender) that he overruled the championship committee who wanted to go with Wolf who had beaten Mandrill before his championship triumph. Morpheus had a good counter argument because Wolf then went and lost to Grovel. It can all get a bit complicated plotting it all out. Some of the officials wanted to engineer a Wolf-Genocide match for the Heavyweight belt which would be a huge draw. Especially as Genocide never got beaten for the belt last year. He lost it due to injury. However Morpheus didn’t want to know. Such a scenario needs too many things to fall in place (and as we all know the dice often put a spanner in the works). So Morpheus prefers to act on the here and now. Everything will develop organically.
INJURED – Mad Jester Clone (2), Wolf (6); SUSPENDED – none
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
MUTANT - Plenty of viable candidates for this as Rack performed heroics for the FDF and Grovel stunned Wolf. However how can you overlook Mutant? It beat Rising Sun last month, Bloodline this month and then nearly goes and wins the Centra belt.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
DISORDER X - For a team that hates each other so much they looked pretty together to inflict a rare defeat on Twin Blood in a non-title match. They will now get an actual title shot next month and might just have the psychological edge.

1. Amazonia defeated Maxine Babe (THE WARRIOR’S SHIELD) 2. The Ravagers destroyed Animen Invasion in their big debut (SEVERED TIES on Antak) 3. Genocide unconvincingly beats Tortured Soul by DQ (Maleph dropped a rock on Genocide not long after Tortured Soul had almost won via ROTTING CLAW) 4. Mutant shocks Bloodline in a Lava Pit match (Bloodline gets rough treatment from the primitives and is beaten after taking a blow from an undetected object) 6. Malice and Overkill too strong for Theatre of Pain (Overkill Overhead Toss takes care of Comedy) 4. Nora Pelf beats Anaxis by DQ in a Servant match (Doesn’t matter that Anaxis doesn’t lose by pin. She is still dragged off kicking and screaming to commence servant duties) 5. Dreadnaught beats Sir Ender in the first ever Centra Coffin match (Sir Ender comically charges Dreadnaught and falls through the ropes into the coffin which then slams shut) 6. Grovel shocks Wolf to win in a 4 Weapons of Destruction match (wasn’t even that close as Grovel only had 3 tokens by the end) 7. Painmaster overcomes Corporal Aegis in a Cosmic Cage match (bitter disappointment for home fans as Painmaster escapes after a Colonizer Claw Grip) 8. Thunder rolls over Blade in a Scorpi King of the Ring match (Blade has 16 tokens by the time Thunder hits with THE TEMPEST one final time and then throws him out) 9. FDF crushed the Great Comeback in a Titan Death Battlezone match (Euritar beats Ruin via HEADS WILL ROLL … Rack evens it up against Euritar thanks to RACKED AND RUINED … Rack wins a back and forth one over Hydrax with RACKED AND RUINED … Rack stuns Pegasus. Over in three moves and it’s through RACKED AND RUINED again … Rack caps a star performance by finishing Daeman with RACKED AND RUINED to win for his team) 10. LADIES TITLE MATCH - Sniper overcomes Ms. Liberty (Sniper barely troubled as she repeatedly uses TARGET PRACTICE until Ms. Liberty can take no more) 11. TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Twin Blood sees off the challenge of Titan Attack (There’s just no stopping Twin Blood as Dreggs finishes Ursa Major with DREGGS OF DEFEAT) 12. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - Mandrill is in total control to defeat Anarchy and win the belt (Anarchy offers disappointing resistance as Mandrill controls match and wins via a Prime Piledriver)

1. The Team With No Name beat Transformer (A DEAD MAN’S VERSE on Monad. There are afters and the Jester Clone got injured for 2 cards) 2. Cygnus Strikeforce defeated Desolation Factor by DQ (Commando Sam threatens Maelstrom with a machete to cost his team the match) 3. Supernova over Thrash by DQ (Supernova got thrown into tables) 4. Paragon beats Prodigy by DQ (Prodigy will feel hard done by as he dominated) 5. Max Shield over Draconian Sheik by DQ (Max was attacked on the outside by the Terrorists) 6. CENTRA TITLE MATCH - Mutant beats Mayhem by DQ (unbelievably Brute has to intervene to save the belt)

CARD 1157 – TERRONAUT TOWERS: Code Enforcer beats Thunder by DQ. First TV outing for the Code Enforcer in 2111. He was a frustrated bystander in the recent FDF-Great Comeback Battlezone match. Although his team won he wanted to get in the ring and didn’t feel like he contributed. So is chomping at the bit for this. Thunder represents a huge obstacle though. The Gladiator is highly motivated to realise his huge potential and is probably only a win or two away from being given another chance to go for the Heavyweight belt. It’s not an ideal scenario a Gladiator holding it although it’s got to be better than Mandrill. Anyway it is a bad tempered match up. Went on for a long time and pretty even. Maybe Thunder just shading it. Commando Sam is branded a hypocrite in the aftermath for his interference which is not in the spirit of the code he keeps spouting. Sam angrily reminds that when the other wrestler breaks the rules all bets are off. So both Brute and Sam were as bad each other here. Whenever things spilled outside they were getting involved and as the match ticked on that happened more and more. Eventually Brute goes too far as he manhandles the Code Enforcer from behind in a bear hug. Shows how powerful Brute still is that the Code Enforcer couldn’t easily break free. Meanwhile Thunder deals with Sam by flooring him with a diving choke slam. Then joins Brute to gang up on the Code Enforcer. A cavalry charge from Archon who is leading out Desolation Factor and a reluctant looking Lance At-Las saves the bacon of Sam and the Code Enforcer. The Gladiators are forced to back away. Trisis later braves an interview with Brute who promises much more of this in 2111 “nobody is safe from the Gladiators, we are stamping our authority on this fed and blaming everybody for the death of Massacre. Not even Vengeance would do that to one of his own. It’s payback time”. Mutant beats Grovel quickly in a Titan Death match. Unbelievably this is a top contender match for the Centra belt. The GWFC couldn’t resist and nobody can argue as the record of these two things is much better than expected. Probably the biggest surprise is how quickly this was over as Mutant squashes Grovel in just 4 moves. Getting the better of an immediate brawl and then torturing it with TEMPLE GRINDER on returning to the ring. A rematch with Mayhem for the Centra belt now awaits. In hindsight I should have had this card on Primus and booked this as a Lava Pit match, how cool that would of been. Draconian Sheik and Vyper defeated Dark Justice and Mike Fortune. Vyper’s singles push stalls to engage in this tag match. This has double DQ written all over it. Only it actually ends up going pretty clean. I don’t think the action even spilled out the ring once. Vyper was the winning wrestler as he caught Dark Justice with a shoulder breaker and an extremely roll on the dice garnered him the pin. As clean as the action was during the match that didn’t count out afters as Mike Fortune grabs Justice’s rod without asking and smashes Vyper from behind with it just as the ref was raising his arm. That sparked a mass brawl that went right to the back. When the dust settled Vyper had accumulated a 2 card injury.
Enigma wins a thriller over Euritar. Enigma thought when he joined the Rocketmen it would be for a bigger role and for a while it all seemed good as he was the first Centra champion. Yet here he is one year on in a low position and well down the pecking order in the team. Rather than moan he intends to win matches and force himself into the reckoning. Euritar, a man blessed with similar agility, would be a pretty good scalp. With the Code Enforcer on the same bill Euritar was worried a run in could happen and has Reynard B. Guile watching the runway closely just in case. At one point the curtain twitched and B. Guile comically shouted “watch out he’s coming”. Proved to be a false alarm as it was just a behind the scenes worker. Put Euritar off though and got a laugh. When things settled down though we got a classic match. Five stars for certain as both guys thrilled with their athleticism and the pendulum constantly swung. Both had almost certain pins foiled after their finishers due to managerial distractions. Then Euritar was having to be careful about ever going out the ring as Enigma was not shy about using his Feet of Fury move. In fact it allowed Enigma to get the edge and looked he’d finally won it after a spectacular Tornado DDT. Only for B. Guile to launch another massive distraction which allowed Euritar to recover and use HEADS WILL ROLL on Enigma. No way Johnny Rocket was going to let an injustice like that happen and he wades in with a distraction of his own to keep his guy in it. Then there was poetic justice as Enigma managed to recover from the effects of the finisher and wrestle back control. When he attempts ENIGMA SUICIDA again both were dead on their feet. Enigma connects with it and gets the victory his earlier efforts deserved. B. Guile looked pretty bewildered. His Great Comeback is anything but so far! Rising Sun pinned Sir Ender. Rising getting what he calls a vital training match in preparation for his shot at greatness at the end of the month. Sir Ender takes exception to this “I am no mere sparring partner. This is a contest between two valiant heroes of the federation. I am sure the fans will have a hard time choosing who to cheer”. Who is he kidding? You could have heard a pin drop as he sauntered out. Rising on the other hand gets a huge pop. He tried to give them their moneys worth by not squashing Sir Ender athough maybe he was a little to lax. Giving Sir Ender rather more offence than expected. Then Sir Ender actually kicked out after SUNSET SPECTACULAR. That certainly wasn’t in the script. Rising realised after that he better try and get this won before it gets embarrassing. Although he still struggled. It took a few more mins before he was able to work a position for his finisher again. Second time around there was no resistance from Sir Ender to being pinned. He was out for the count.
Amazonia handled Serpentine. Amazonia still waits for a male opponent. Watch for later in the month for something to happen on that front. For now she has to keep trying to beat what’s put in front of her. On this occasion it is Serpentine. On paper an easy enough match but with Hunger skulking about too could make this a potential banana skin. Thankfully Lorelei lessened the effects of her. Even helping to provide a crafty distraction for THE WARRIOR’S SHIELD which won the match. Archon wouldn’t have approved. Good job he’s not around anymore.

CARD 1158 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Tag champs, Twin Blood, keep their stranglehold on the belts as they sweep aside Disorder X. A feud driven from many angles. All that’s happened between these guys in the past and now the tag belts thrown into the mix. Having won their last non-title match Disorder X has every right to be confident. Mace is looking like anything will set him off though. Johnny Rocket’s constant jabbering on his microphone results in him breaking off from a lock up with Dreggs and tagging out so he can tell him to shut up. This drops Grunge right in it as he is set upon before he’s even got through the ropes. Twin Blood is all over him and with the fast tags there is no respite. In the space of about 3 minutes they’ve got this sewn up as they use SEEING DOUBLE on Grunge. Mace stamps angrily on the apron. Another show of petulance and leaving the commentary team speculating whether that was the last straw and the team will now break up. Centra champ, Mayhem, just about gets it done against Mutant. A rematch for the belt. Mutant gave Mayhem big problems last time. Surely it has been punching above its weight and will get destroyed this time around. Krakan stays very hands off. He’s very wary of upsetting the Gladiators and doesn’t want to make an enemy of them. As shown so far this year they will go after just about everybody. Mutant doesn’t hold back though. It was attracted to the gold around Mayhem’s waist like a magpie. Tries to rip it off him before Mayhem pushes Mutant away and throws the belt off himself. As Mutant scurries towards it Mayhem just comes down on the back of its head with a powerful elbow. Although if he thinks it’ll be easy then he got a big shock. Mutant fought back savagely and even had Mayhem in its TEMPLE GRINDER at one point. Mayhem was really struggling again and typically missed with LEAP OF DOOM later in the bout to give Mutant another sniff at winning. Ultimately Mayhem just about got the win after a few tokens had built up on Mutant. Mayhem lined up with a Cranium Cracker shortly after a wild move involving the top rope went wrong for Mutant. It was a sickening sound on impact and proved to be the move that ended Mutant’s unlikely run at the Centra belt. Ursa Major beats Mad Jester Original by DQ. Ursa Major was disappointed Titan Attack’s run at the tag belts came up short. So he’s now having a brief foray into singles. Why not. He may not be a Heavyweight champion level wrestler but the Centra belt could be realistic. His partner and manager fully support him. With the cloned Jester out injured the original is forced into singles action. He’s definitely weathered. Has been around a long time. Ursa Major was clearly the superior wrestler although Jester showed there’s still a bit left in the tank and makes himself difficult to beat. Ursa Major did eventually look like he was closing in on the win. Thought he’d achieved it via TITAN VICTORY ROLL only for Jester to kick out. Surely a matter of time though. However Jester kept trying to get it out the ring where he was more dangerous. Manages to deny Ursa Major a pin victory by going for his barbed rattle and drawing the DQ. Ursa Major was clever enough to minimise his engagement with Jester on seeing he was armed. The Soulwatcher over Pegasus by DQ. Pegasus went into a state of shock over his loss at Rack at CENTRA PERENNIAL. Clearly the reason for this match is he’s now looking for someone easy to kick around. The fans get right behind the Soulwatcher hoping for another stunning upset. We have to watch a long overdone pre announcement though as Reynard B. Guile has to stroke the ego of Pegasus. Then a further delay as the ref won’t allow both B. Guile and Maxine Babe be at ringside. In the end it’s B. Guile who leaves as Pegasus says “sorry man but she’s easier on the eye”. The Soulwatcher certainly doesn’t disgrace himself and actually had more of the offence. Pegasus was not getting much going. On throwing the Soulwatcher into a turnbuckle Pegasus found himself outside the ring after the follow up shoulder smash missed. Sensing things are not going well Pegasus picks himself up and reaches in to drag the Soulwatcher out with him. Sticks him straight into a nearby table which causes the DQ. Pegasus was probably expecting a distraction from Maxine Babe to be forthcoming but she was too busy fixing her lipstick. Definitely a bad judgement call from Pegasus to choose her over B. Guile. Transformer crushed the Ravagers. Baby steps for the Ravagers as they build towards an inevitable meeting with Rebel Empire. Their impressive debut was put into perspective by their loss to the Betrayers in their follow up match. Ventross recognises they need more experience although it’s not as easy to rein Rankor in who wants to go to war with everybody. Unfortunately they have to suffer another harsh lesson here. Transformer laid siege to Rankor from the opening bell. He never managed to tag out as he fell to defeat in just a few minutes. Took incredible punishment that included SURFBOARD SUBMISSION twice before Nth Degree beat him via PIN USING ROPES. Rankor had 7 fatigue tokens by that point which gives an insight as to how much he was dominated. The outcome kind of sums up Transformer. A team that can beat the best there is on one night and then slip up against undercard teams the next.
Hunger devoured Ms. Liberty. Not much of a contest. Ms. Liberty fell pretty quickly after she was hit by a 450 splash that was probably made more potent by that mouth on Hunger’s abdomen.

CARD 1159 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: TRISIS SHOWCASE featuring Archon … Trisis knows how to engage the fans. Before introducing her guest she recounts various tales and experiences from her first year following and being involved in wrestling. The fans were loving the narrative and almost seemed disappointed when the time came to introduce her guest. With it being Archon it was sure to be a tiresome rant along the lines of respecting the code and ridding the fed of filth and we weren’t disappointed as he does exactly that. Trisis almost gets her head bitten off when she suggests he has deserted Blade and Lorelei and that he can never understand their pain at losing a son and a brother “how dare you call me a deserter! There’s a wrong way and a right way to conduct yourself. No excuses. I was struggling to keep things civil within that team and then they went and invited that hooligan Wolf. When Genocide then appeared and they started arguing over who was the most dangerous wrestler that was the final straw. I need to be around like minded people with similar goals and outlooks. Commando Sam is a man I respect and fully intend to support”. Several more rants take place but it only gets interesting at the end. Archon says “also I’d like to address the notion that nobody thinks I can do hardcore matches. Well they are wrong. I am prepared to step into the ring with code breakers under any conditions. I’ve got a match against Wolf booked in next week. I propose we spice it up and make it a Nightmare Matrix match. I’ve heard this is a new type of match that can happen. How about it Wolf?” What a way to end and it sounds like Wolf didn’t take long to reply as at the end of show when next weeks ANTILIA ARMAGEDDON matches are revealed the Wolf-Archon match was already being promoted as being a Nightmare Matrix match. Rising Sun wrestles the match of his life to depose Mandrill as the Heavyweight champion. When the year began Rising Sun had serious aspirations for the Heavyweight belt although am sure even he didn’t think that he would be getting a title shot so soon. Everyone is hoping he can do it. It’s sickening to see Mandrill stride out like the ruler he pretends to be. Rouser was just inches behind stirring things up with his chanting and waving his sign. Rising wants to get at him in the runway although Lord Nexus manages to persuade him to hold back. Wanting Rising to conserve energy. It was a wise move as the early bombardment from Mandrill would have been tough to withstand if he hadn’t of been in tip top shape. Mandrill used both his finishers in the first few minutes and frustratingly found Rising tough to pin. It was just a question of hanging on for Rising and seizing the opportunity when it presented itself. That came as Mandrill went for a Tombstone Piledriver and Rising expertly countered with a head scissors. The raucous tones of Rouser suddenly dried up as Mandrill got into trouble. Rouser then found himself trying to interfere after a second SUPER DRAGON DROP had Mandrill looking in real peril. The crowd went crazy though as Rising met him with a flying dropkick to send him sprawling. The momentum was well and truly with Rising and he went for SUNSET SPECTACULAR. It was more than enough to beat Mandrill and the roof comes off as Rising wins the belt. It all got a bit emotional as Rising hugged Lord Nexus and the other Titans joined them in the ring. Even Dragonmaster left the commentary booth to be a part of it. This was a memorable moment as Rising Sun is the first ever Titan to hold the biggest prize in all of wrestling. One for the historians but Lord Nexus did actually win it once. It was in the often forgotten Early Classics era. He beat Commander Sam only to lose it immediately to Thantos just before the fed was restructured and 2087 began. So it is another of those reigns that is often stricken from the record books. Ladies champ, Sniper, survives a tough test from Supernova to win by DQ. There’s almost a look of resignation on Supernova before this starts. She just cannot get the better of Sniper. Nobody can! However once the bell goes she injects some real energy and gives it a real go. Sniper still looks fantastic though and the speed at which she gets her TARGET PRACTICE finisher off never ceases to amaze. In a two minute period she must of used it 4 or 5 teams to nibble away at Supernova’s energy reserves. However she almost get pinned after fouling a deathjump up and for the first time in a long while looks rattled. Supernova responds to this opportunity and attempts SPEED OF LIGHT. Maybe the title run was finally coming to an end. Sniper manages to kick out though and stays in the match. Supernova doesn’t want to let her catch breath and gets very frustrated as Sniper manages to get herself outside. Over eagerness sets in as Supernova launches herself over the top rope at Sniper and wipes her out with a crossbody. The ref had warned her not too and is a known stickler. He harshly calls for the bell and disqualified Supernova. Very disappointing. Sniper just goes on with this remarkable reign and showed tonight even when she’s below her best still has a knack of finding a way to win. Tocsin defeated Dreadnaught in a Centra Coffin match. Dreadnaught is still ticking and the fed books him in yet another Coffin match. Dreadnaught is a bit timid about them as he knows deep down he’ll probably permanently be in one soon but it’s the only way to get on the bill so he rolls with it. Tocsin didn’t seem bothered by it though. Released from the shackles of the Colonizers and wrestling his first match in years. Not sure what he made of the few cheers received. He’s not an archetypal hero. It’s not a pretty match as expected. Lots of rest holds too as neither guy is brimming with energy. Dreadnaught probably regretted getting too close as he was subjected to Toxic Breath a few times. Although Dreadnaught was competitive in the early stages he started to fade badly and flirted with the Death Chart at one point. Thankfully it was a minor injury roll so just added a couple of fatigue tokens. It was what was needed for Tocsin as it took Dreadnaught past 10. Of course he still had to get Dreadnaught into that coffin and that was achieved a few minutes later following SENTRY STUNNER to end it. Thankfully when officials reopened the coffin and tended to Dreadnaught they could see he was still alive.
Anarchy goes over Blade. Lots of responsibility thrust onto Blade’s shoulders. With both Wolf and Archon gone it’s up to him to try and carry the team. Genocide is too unpredictable to lead a team. Blade has had some memorable wins in his career. Now needing consistency to really hang with the big boys. His mother, Lorelei, as ever is at his side and doing her best to minimise Maleph’s contributions. It was tough enough facing Anarchy fresh off losing the Heavyweight belt than having to deal with that winged demon as well. Blade gives it a real go and shows great athleticism to sting Anarchy straight away. However not dealing any real lasting impact. Things turn dramatically as Anarchy powers out of Blade’s attempted Centaurus Leg Lock. After that it’s all Anarchy. He administers CRUCIFIX DROP and gets away with it. Lorelei’s distraction attempt was in vein as she watches her son slump to defeat. Looks like if she wants to try and beat someone like Anarchy it’s going to take unleashing Genocide. The hulking new member of the Centaurians is being wasted in matches with Tortured Soul.
Titan Attack sees off the Team With No Name. Titan Attack wrestling comes as a relief to the fans who thought Ursa Major was pursuing a singles push and the team was no more. He says he intends to do both “Scion and I are capable singles wrestlers too so why not”. The Titans patiently wait for the Clones. You never know what you’re going to get when they come through those curtains. Tonight they burst out on tricycles. They both end up crashing into each other on the runway. Not to be put off they both mount them again and set about trying to juggle at the same time. The ref comes out and orders them onto the ring. The lights are on but nobody’s home as they ignore him. It takes both Titans coming out and physically manhandling them into the ring. In an unremarkable contest the Titan duo slowly work themselves into a position of superiority. Ursa Major had the winning move as TITAN VICTORY ROLL gets Mad Jester Original pinned. Rebel Empire annihilated Rigel Warriors. Rebel Empire is under pressure from Mandrill to do more this year. At times they have looked very strong only to choke in the big matches. At least they owned the SWAT Team before Trench’s traitorous turn. This didn’t represent a huge test though. Meteor even arrived with a suspicious white powder still on his nostrils. He clearly wasn’t in shape to wrestle so Lance had to carry the can. He was easily overwhelmed. Nefarus used SCISSORDRIVER on him to set him up for Vendetta’s entrance. They soon combined for EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT to get an easy win.

CARD 1160 – ANTILIA ARMAGEDDON – RUINS OF ANTILIA: Torrential storms batter Antilia as the GWFC braves its return with a spontaneous supercard. It was going to be mini event with just 8 matches although the bookings kept creeping up. There are no title matches though. Done on purpose so feuds can be in the spotlight. It becomes memorable for all the wrong reasons as the rumours about Murdok are realised. The title of the show seemed quite apt given what had happened. Corporal Aegis outlasts Wraith in a Ruins of Antilia match. It’s the stuff of nightmares as a violent lightening storm breaks out close to the site. The cameras leave the match to focus on an area of disturbance. Suddenly from within the soft ground a tomb partially pushes out. The being thought to be Murdok emerges from it and pulls himself out. On standing up he hesitates for a moment before fixing his sight on the contest in the distance. He walks purposefully towards it. No emotion or life in the eyes. He looks every bit as powerful and deadly as all the stories have suggested. The combatants are blissfully unaware of his approach until the sky goes black and Murdok steps out from behind a distant ruin and threatens Aegis. He calls everyone intruders. For a moment Aegis looks like he is ready to have coronary. Looking petrified before he manages to man up. Leaving Wraith behind he moves forward to engage Murdok who is now just pointing at him without making sound. Aegis adopts a defensive pose just in case. Before he can reach Murdok an eerie fog descends on the entire site. So thick you cannot see your hand in front of your face. After about 30 seconds it starts to lift and Murdok is nowhere to be seen. Aegis is saddened by that as he wanted a chance to talk to this mysterious being. However he hasn’t got long to dwell on it as Wraith reminds him why he is there in the first place. Aegis fought him off but is still treading carefully and checking all the shadows which gives Wraith far too many chances to recover after any offensive bursts. Unfortunately the outcome had become secondary to the emergence of Murdok. For what it’s worth they fought a great battle and accumulated 6 tokens each before Aegis grabbed a cinder block and smashed it over Wraith’s head. He then pins Wraith on the spot. No pause to celebrate for Aegis. Back at base he barges right past Trisis who wanted an interview. He simply says “sorry Trisis, I got to go and see the Ravagers urgently”. Archon beats Wolf in a Nightmare Matrix match. The first ever match of its type and it’s set to become Wolf’s new favourite type of match. Injuries couldn’t stop him turning out. As we know he’d crawl over broken glass to wrestle. Archon may not be everyone’s cup of tea but fair play to him for stepping out of his comfort zone. The match creates some incredible hallucinations throughout. The ring appeared to be spinning violently on numerous occasions. Then we saw dozens of mirror images of Wolf at one point. A little while later they appeared to be wrestling at the top of a huge mountain which really freaked Archon out. There were also regular bursts of flashing lights and sudden bouts of sleepiness that affected both combatants. It must of been like hell in there with everything going on. Archon seemed to be getting the worst of it. However he somehow survives it all including a painful stint in SAVAGE FACE CLAW. A huge turning point comes as Wolf suddenly clutches his ears as the matrix plays notes that only dogs can hear. Drives him crazy and allows Archon to get on offence. Even though he was in worse condition he goes for THE RIOT ACT (second time in the match) and with Wolf’s injuries it was enough to grab a significant victory. Archon later brags “I am too psychologically strong to be affected by the matrix and I vow to remain unbeaten in them”. For Wolf it’s been a very mixed start as a villain. Since beating Mandrill handily in the opening show of the year he has now suffered alarming losses to Grovel and Archon. Warfare beats Trench in an epic Centra Coffin match. Emotional match as the two former friends and partners square off. The whole break up had quite an effect on Warfare. Now a chance to come out of his shell and dump Trench in that coffin in a metaphor for their friendship being dead. It becomes a cracking match up with so much action. Far too many to mention. Trench was the better wrestler for most of it. Winning big time. Only he cannot manage to get the huge frame of Warfare into the coffin. Even a run in from Wraith fails to help. Just as they tried to close the lid on Warfare his powerful arms forced it open. Wraith was then ordered to leave. This forms part of Warfare’s surging comeback. Despite a precarious pin rating he makes Trench’s final moments in the match a living hell. The crowd is on its feet as performs THE BIG PAYBACK again and signals it’s time to try and dump Trench into the casket. Kicking him like a piece of trash over to it. Trench falls off the apron into the coffin. He weakly tries to resist. However with Warfare’s huge upper body pushing down there was no chance. The lid goes down and Warfare takes it. Oftentimes Warfare shuns the spotlight. Only this time he seems to enjoy and even interacts with some fans. This could be just what he needed to bring him out of his shell.
Painmaster downs Max Shield in a Cosmic Cage match. Painmaster is bragging cage matches are his speciality having defeated Corporal Aegis in one at CENTRA PERENNIAL. Aegis is counting on Max to burst his bubble here. He says of Max “I am confident he’ll do better than I did with all his experience. In fact I am confident Max can win the Heavyweight belt this year and it’ll make me just as happy as if I did it. He’s a great friend and always puts the team first”. Sadly Max flatters to deceive yet again. In a long battle he never really put Painmaster in enough trouble. Painmaster, on the other hand, buoyed by his recent success looked very hungry. He managed to get Max into THE TORTURE RACK and held it in place until he was sure it had done enough damage to make his escape from the cage an easy one. To make it more humiliating he chooses to climb out the cage rather than walk out of the door. Poor Max just didn’t have the strength left to stop him at all. What a start it’s been to 2011 for Painmaster. He’s looking unstoppable especially in cage matches.
Paragon, Enigma and Dreggs defeated Bloodline, Prodigy and Grunge by DQ in a match where no managers are allowed at ringside. Grunge replaces the moody Mace at last minute. Nobody on Team CPC is making any comments about it or being involved in a 6 man tag match. Although cannot imagine any single one is happy. Certainly Bloodline and Prodigy want to be pushing forwards with their singles aspirations but they would never dare to question Thantos. It’s not much better on the other side though with Paragon being an equally reluctant participant. By far the most active guy in the match was Enigma. He missed ENIGMA SUICIDA when in the ring with Prodigy. Could have been fatal but Prodigy failed to capitalise. Enigma bounced back well and had Grunge struggling. Sadly the lack of managers did nothing to stop the DQ threat as Grunge saw fit to try and stop the pressure he was under by taking a swing at Enigma with his guitar. This triggered a brawl amongst everybody and things just got very messy. Not a match anybody will be telling their grandkids about. Malice and Overkill dismantled Animen Invasion. The Gladiators consider the Animen a nuisance that still needs dealing with. You wouldn’t want to be Son of Ram or Antak faced with the Gladiators in their current mood. However they are, Son of Ram in particular, convinced they are ready to win a feud their predecessors couldn’t all those years ago. Time has probably blurred things a little as I don’t remember the Gladiators ever truly beating the Animen. It was all very even and both teams had their moments. With no SUDDEN DEATH meetings between the teams there was no real point of reference. Anyway I am rambling. That was then and this is now. The Gladiators may of made hard work of Animen Invasion in the past time but this time they destroyed them. Son of Ram got finished off by Malice’s FIELDS OF MALICE. He was essentially on his lonesome after Antak had earlier been beaten to a pulp by Overkill.
Cutting Edge overcame Living Dangerously. Leaving the Hitmen hasn’t made Tough Guy up his game. He is still fond of a drink and regularly doesn’t get up til noon. Often wondering what planet he is on. Sniper won’t want him showing her up as they face another mixed tag team in the form of Amazonia and Blade going under the cool moniker of Cutting Edge. Especially as this is also a groundbreaking moment. The first ever intergender tag team match. Luckily cometh the hour he is pretty switched on and gives an acceptable performance. They all do. Neither gender is afraid to mix it up with the other gender and in fact it’s a pin against the opposite sex that ends it. Sniper was uncharacteristically sloppy when facing up against Blade. It’s a case of snooze you lose as she switches off and gets wiped out by a Flying Missile Shot. Blade is a bit hesitant to cover but there’s nothing in the rules against it. Lorelei urges him to go for the pin and despite the delay to do so it still yields the three count. Ninja Assassins outclass Desolation Factor. Rack is still hot after his heroics at CENTRA PERENNIAL. He tossed both Ninjas around like they were rag dolls that night. Reynard B. Guile said the reason his team misfired so badly that night was because he wasn’t at ringside “Sam added the Titan Death stipulation in at the last second. It was blatant cheating”. So now it is down to B. Guile to make good on his claims that he is the greatest manager ever seen and win belts with all the talent now at his disposal. He is deeply satisfied by what he sees here. The Ninja Assassins are in far better form and drive Desolation Factor mad with their clever switches. They then have some really strong offence against Ruin and manage to get him pinned after DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. Rack burst in trying to make a pin save only to be stopped in his tracks by Hydrax. Outside the excited B. Guile screams out “this truly is the start of the great comeback”. His luck has definitely changed as he even survives a close shave with Commando Sam who tried to take him out with an atomic drop as he struggled to contain his anger. B. Guile inadvertently caught Sam with an uppercut as he raised his arms aloft in celebration. Skinhead pummelled Terminus. Rumour that Anaxis was going to valet for the Rocketmen as part of her servant role doesn’t come to be. Johnny Rocket leads Skinhead out who is hoping to get revenge here. He lost when they met at CENTRA PERENNIAL after Terminus put on a masterclass. This time it’s completely different though. Skinhead was like a man possessed. Takes him just a couple of minutes to lay Terminus out with BRASS NUCKS. Thantos protests the illegal manner of the victory only to be drowned out by Johnny Rocket. To make matters worse Terminus picks up a one card injury as Skinhead decked him a second time for trying to carry on the fight after recovering. Terminus looked like a boxer being knocked out as his legs turned to jelly and he then went down. Genocide too wild for Tortured Soul. Genocide butts heads with Tortured Soul again. This time hoping to crush him/it like he should of done first time around. The problem with facing a zombie like Tortured Soul is it takes a lot of punishment for any pain to register. He/it might be slow and weak by wrestling standards but is extremely hard to hurt. It’s more of the same again only this time Genocide does eventually manage to win. It took a berserk pounding assault to do it. In the aftermath Tortured Soul laid motionless for a few seconds and then just creepily sat up and then got to his feet. Genocide looked about ready to start another ruck until Lorelei, wielding a surprising level of influence, called him off. Tortured Soul then trudges off obediently behind Maleph.
Vyper beats Splatter in a crazy match. Love it when former partners square off for the first time. It’s billed as a battle of bad guys. Splatter has been shooting his mouth off all week calling Vyper a circus freak who should keep company with weirdos like the Clones and Theatre of Pain. He then warns that if Vyper dares to bring any snake near him it will meet a grisly fate and be beaten to death with Arsenal. Trouble is he is finding it harder to back up that sort of talk. Vyper is still in his prime whilst Splatter, after over two decades in the ring, is showing wear and tear. He’s still very dangerous but doesn’t hit quite as hard as he once did. One thing of note was that Vyper has only just shaken off an injury which may of restricted his training. Although the way he began suggested this wasn’t an issue. He was relentless in the punishment and using his superior speed to keep Splatter clutching at thin air. Not needing long until using his finisher. If he thought that would be enough then he was wrong. That was far too easy. Krakan ensures Splatter stays in the match and with a second bite of the cherry he came back hard. Managing to bloody Vyper with MEET ARSENAL. Two can play Krakan’s game and the Terrorists run in with an attack of their own. The ref seemed too scared to call a DQ. Just lets it all happen. Splatter didn’t have enough in the tank to start over and begins to get dominated again. We see VYPER’S SIDESHOW once again and this time Krakan’s interfering is stopped as the Terrorists crack their whips to force him back. Vyper pins Splatter and then disrespectfully pulls his mask off to reveal his mangled face for a moment. To add insult to injury he then lets a snake slither across Splatter’s beaten carcass. Of course this won’t be the end of this. I foresee some hardcore battles ahead for these two.
Dark Justice pinned Scion Nexus. Now it’s Scion’s turn to have a singles match. He was on fire initially. Dazzling moves all over the place. That was until he overshot a deathjump. Possibly because of a nudge from Krakan. As if that wasn’t controversial enough Justice then smashes Scion with ROD OF JUSTICE and gets away with it. Dragonmaster lost his rag on commentary as Scion was pinned shouting out “surely the ref had to of seen that, I’ve never seen such incompetent officiating”. Later Scion shows the same noble qualities as his father by not moaning “I have to take it on the chin, shouldn’t have put myself in a position like that around those guys”.
