Card 636 – Tethys Sports Center:
Heavyweight belt on line, Lumberjack Match, Janus faces Exo-King but the ref is forced to call it off. Exo-King made to wait for his rematch but he gets his wish for it to be a special match. There were some injury worries after the brutal meeting with Murderer’s Row on the last show but Exo-King insists he is fighting fit and cannot wait to take up this opportunity. In fact the GWF lets him call the shots by letting him choose between Cosmic Cage, Titan Death, Lumberjack or Falls Count Anywhere Match. Exo-King opts for the Lumberjack match choice as he reasons that Chaos will be one of the lumberjacks and probably not in any mood to help Janus out in moments of peril. Exo-King comes tantalisingly close using his great power to rattle the champ but it all goes crazy when he is thrown out of the ring towards the villains. Janus’s lumberjacks (apart from Chaos) spring into action attacking Exo-King. Defender rushes round with a chair which causes all the villain lumberjacks to start grabbing weapons. The other hero lumberjacks led by Jack of Diamonds all do the same. Even Lord Nexus finds himself holding a broom handle. The resultant brawl cannot be controlled. Superiority Complex grabs Jack and leave him in a heap after THE PERFECT TAG FINISHER. The Matador is struggling as Lord Nexus and Star Warrior double team him and manage to get the weapon out of his hands. It’s total disorder. The ref tries for a couple of minutes to restore order but has to give in and end it with a ‘no match’ verdict. Rematch to be scheduled
Thantos defeated old adversary Killer Queen. Word is out that Thantos is celebrating his birthday. He tries to keep it low key but the GWF wants to make a gesture. A big cake is presented before the match with too many candles to count them all up. Even Killer Queen claps but playing his new heel role he waits for Thantos to blow out the candles and then rushes forward. The cake gets pushed right back in the face of Thantos. Match on. Thantos aims to punish Queenie for humiliating him but finds him a slippery customer. Thantos even has to take evasive action as he gets levelled with WARP SPEED. Quality prevails in the end and Thantos has Queenie begging for mercy in MASTERLOCK. Thantos grabs his TOC belt (it wasn’t on the line) and then gets his own back stuffing a bit of cake down Queenie’s throat causing him to choke and convulse
Mesmer’s match against Lord Nexus ends in a 10 minute time limit draw. Stagnant feud needs something to pep it up so Mesmer and Gemini torment Lord Nexus saying they’ve seen into the future and the collapse of the Titan team when he takes the managerial reins. Lord Nexus trying to make them eat those words but is still struggling with knocks and various wear and tear sustained on the previous card. The match stumbles towards a draw
Powerhouse beats US. Patriot by DQ. Adam casts his view on the poor treatment of Cassandra by the Pillars of Power and says “she’s not my kind of woman but I would never do what Dynamo did and strike her”. If he cannot get to Dynamo the next best thing is Powerhouse. A real hardcore edge has crept into Adam’s style recently and it continues here as he stuffs the American flag down Powerhouse’s throat and then kicks him in the gut. Massif rouses some debate later on saying he would never of called that a disqualification and encourages wrestlers be allowed to get on and fight. Powerhouse calls him corrupt for favouring hero wrestlers
Dreggs and Raven stroll to victory against Monad and Mandrill. WAR is a recovering team. Dreggs and Raven work well together chipping away at their stronger opponents. Raven scored the decisive fall on Monad. Monad strains to escape the pin but Raven doesn’t forget to hook the leg and Monad can’t get all four of his shoulders up
Ursa Major wins against Grunge by DQ. Grunge does most of the damage but as soon as Ursa Major gets a period in the box seat Grunge goes for a foreign object and prefers to take the DQ instead of risk getting pinned.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2100 CARDS 633 - 636)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Janus (Top Contender: Exo-King) * GWF Tag Champs: Generation X (Top Contenders: The Enforcers) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Soldier of Fortune (Top Contender: Vyper)
Latest News:
Discension in the Brotherhood! The Overlord has risen from his sickbed early hushing things over claiming it was a minor misunderstanding between Ram and Bishop Hell and all is fine but the truth is that everything is far from serene. The rumblings of discontent have dated as far back as 2098 and now finally the group could be imploding. Bishop Hell says the solution is simple and that is to kick Ram off the team. They will never see eye to eye.
Storm clouds gathering at the Citadel too as the Matador confronts Morpheus about his team role. He believes he is owed an explanation for not being pushed or used enough in 2099. Word is he has given him an ultimatum that if Morpheus cannot guide him to more gold this year he will leave the Citadel. If that does happen it’ll be interesting to see where he would end up or if he plays a drifter role (which kind of suits his moody and quiet character). There are also signs that Morpheus is behind Janus more than Chaos. It is no secret that Chaos covets the Heavyweight belt and is trying to make sure Janus loses it as soon as possible. Secretly he has been working with Morpheus to make this happen. However Morpheus is reported to of told him during a one-to-one meeting that despite what people think of him he does still have some morals and is a man of honour. He cannot let Chaos dictate to him over such an important item as the title. Janus and the Superiority Complex are younger and represent the future of the Citadel of the Elite. As a result he will be working hard to keep the belt with Janus as long as possible as well as regain the tag straps. He even has the bravery to suggest to Chaos that if he is so desperate to wear a belt again then maybe he should lower his sights and make a raid on the Interplanetary belt. Chaos reaction to this was one of complete disdain and he had to restrain himself from putting his hands on Morpheus. He ended up storming away from the office, turning a table and slamming the door behind so hard it came off the hinges.
Johnny Rocket’s launching pad could be taking a leave of absence after the GWF takes a closer look into his affairs. What could this be meaning? Only little snippets of info being made available but there are rumoured links to Kronoscam.
A cool feud building between Vyper and the Hitmen. Vyper is after the IP belt held by Soldier of Fortune and pulling stunts to unsettle them. Darkos has offered Krakan some help to take the circus freak out but the Hitmen prefer to fight their own battles and be in nobody else’s debt.
Dynamo and Cassandra continue to be in the news as an X-rated video of them together goes on the black market. The pair of them do nothing to discourage the distribution and even hint at more surprises in their video vault.
FESTIVAL OF FIRE was so popular last year that the event will be staged as a PPV again. It’s being held on one of the hottest planets in the universe Venus. Hot matches booked ... first meeting on the cameras Max Shield-Mandrill. This feud has the potential to match some of legendary GWF conflicts of years gone by. This is just the beginning of what will be a huge battle set to dominate main events of the future especially when the other guys come on board ... Battlezone drama Gladiator Legends-Gladiator Vanguard. Major bragging rights for the winning team in the biggest match since GALACTICON last year ... Lumberjack rematch, Janus-Exo-King. The Royal one still hotly pursuing the Heavyweight belt held by Janus. This will be his last shot so he needs to make the most of it and choose his lumberjacks wisely ... Darkos-Vyper in a highly charged meeting. Vyper says he is feeling energised with the new lease of life the Savage Kingdom has given him and cannot wait to stick it to Darkos. He promises to also reveal an unknown secret about Darkos. CIVIL WAR WATCH ... Massive win for Brute and Massacre on #365. Thunder and Overkill got complacent and they were punished. The Legends are right back in the battle and although there is no public scoring system in place it could be back to being neck and neck.
WHOSE HOT - Thantos, Soldier of Fortune, Dreggs, Mandrill, Bishop Hell, Janus, Brute and Massacre WHOSE NOT - US. Patriot, Lord Nexus, Mesmer, Quasar, Jack of Diamonds, Thunder and Overkill INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – none
Wrestler of the Month: BISHOP HELL - Back with a bang and picking off the Titan wrestlers. No matter what anyone thinks he is always in the news and dangerous. One of the top villain wrestlers for well over a decade now.
Tag Team of the Month: BRUTE AND MASSACRE - The legendary Gladiator tag team show there is still plenty of life in them. They win crucially against over Thunder and Overkill in a futuristic Turnbuckle Shock match.

Card 637 – Tethys Sports Center:
New Order beats Generation X by DQ. The New Order is already in the ring when Generation X comes out. They want a shot at the tag belts and make a public challenge. Metalhead goes straight up to Dreggs and takes his turn on the mic after listening to how the New Order thinks they deserve the chance to go for the belts. Metalhead retorts with “Spare me the details. Too boring. How can you get a title shot if your both in hospital?” and Generation X looks to attack before the match even starts with their guitars. Mace sacrifices himself by taking the blows. It’s a test of character for Dreggs as he is effectively on his own with Mace incapacitated. Dreggs gets massive credit for the way he goes about the business of the match. Really taking it to Generation X but fighting a handicap match is a big ask. Starting to fade he is struck with big moves like Hard Rock Crack and METALHEAD MAULER. Then he is nearly counted out but makes a valiant effort to get back in the ring. Grunge immediately kicks him back out and gives a signal to Metalhead. Both jump out and arm themselves with their guitars which are already busted up. The DQ happens as soon as they do this but all they care about is finishing the job that they started on Mace. Destructon 3000 breaks his protocol once again to intervene. He snatches the guitar from the grasp of Metalhead and smashes it to smithereens. Trouble is Grunge is still winding up ready to play a hit but this time Mace forces himself back into the action and stands between his fallen partner and Grunge with the ring announcer’s bell (all he could find). Generation X are forced backwards by both Destructon 3000 and Mace and reduced to foul mouthed insults. They still won’t go quietly and kick over anything in their path including a poor maintenance robot working by the ring curtain. It’s head is kicked off and it’s falls heavily forwards into the ground before fizzing violently and shorting out
Thrash destroys Maxine Babe. Vanity is at ringside (he wrestled the last match so hung around) and starts thinking he can touch any woman he likes and makes the mistake of bothering Thrash. This incurs the wrath of Overkill. Thrash can obviously fend for herself as she, despite the fact Vanity was tugging her hair, managed to wriggle free and wind a bemused Vanity’s arm up to the point he had to beg her to let go. She then clotheslined him down and used FEMME FATAL on the bemused Maxine Babe. The crowd cheered delightfully but Vanity sees red. He gets up and chokes Thrash. She tries to resist but gets overpowered and Vanity shoves her onto the canvas. Quickly he grabs Maxine Babe by the hand and leaves. Word is Vanity is now sweating on Gladiator retaliation and wondering why he acted as he did
Flamboyance beats Titan Wrestling as Ursa Major is counted-out. Maxine Babe is very distracting outside looking very hot in her wrestling leotard. Ursa Major gets a rough ride from both Killer Queen and Vanity and then falls under her spell. Vanity makes a huge deal of the win and gyrates in front of the fans. A barrier fails and Vanity has to stave off hordes of excited young ladies before order is restored. It strokes his ego, “the ladies just cannot resist a raunch machine like me. I might test my charm out on Thrash later. She’s an aggressive warrior but kind of sexy”
Mandrill defeated Thantos via MUTANT MAULER. Thantos refuses to put his TOC belt up against a flash in the pan who hasn’t paid any dues. Mandrill says if he wins he’ll take it anyway. Thantos repels the threat saying it will be a non issue as Mandrill won’t beat him. Unfortunately this is exactly what happens. The winning run of Thantos finally at an end. He struggles against the firepower of Mandrill and is severely weakened by VOLTAIC STUNNER and whilst it doesn’t lead directly to his loss it is the beginning of the end. Another legends falls. Mandrill nonchalantly rips the TOC belt from the announcer’s grip where it was being looked after and puts it on before leaving. Thantos goes mad at the poor announcer when he recovers and realises it has been taken. Mandrill now sets his sights on Max Shield and also keeping his new prize out of hero hands. He is even nicknaming it the Legends belt to symbolise how he has slain numerous legends to capture it. Max vows to take it off him and return it to it’s rightful owner
Ram beat Stalker by DQ. Ram is sent out to wrestle on his own. No manager and seemingly no friends. With no guidance Ram is all over the place. Doing some great wrestling but also making some bad decisions. For example he nails RAM CHARGE very early, perhaps too early as Stalker kicks out. Trouble is he goes for it again immediately and Stalker telegraphs it sending Ram tumbling outside. Now Ram is under the cosh and just about survives CALL OF THE WILD. Looks ominous for him but Ram is still a very good wrestler and shows he can rough it out as he brawls his way back into the match up and then steals the DQ win. Stalker getting carried away during one of these brawls as his jungle instincts take over and he refuses to hear the plea of the referee to back off and give the match a chance to get back inside the ring
Killer Queen upsets Exo-King. The old friendship is under strain after Killer Queen refused Exo-King’s request for him to appear as one of his lumberjacks on #636. Queenie says it wouldn’t of been right as he is now wrestling for the villains. Exo-King is so outraged that he says if that’s the case he won’t mind facing him in a match. Queenie reluctantly agrees and looks to become a giant killer once again. Exo-King nearly ends it with one move as he slugs with the Regal Roundhouse straight away. Queenie just slips out of the pin attempt but gets battered with moves like His Majesty’s Mauler and King Death Vise all coming in the opening minute. Fears for Queenie and how the rest of the bout is going to play out but suddenly gets a low blow in to stop Exo-King’s unrelenting offense. He now turns it around and never gives the King another chance. Queenie puts 6 tokens on his old mate and uses WARP SPEED for a shock win. Big confidence blow for Exo-King who is still harbouring hopes of becoming Heavyweight champ. Performances like this will not have Janus quaking.
Card 638 – Rigel Nova Pavillion:
Interplanetary champ, Soldier of Fortune, loses to Vyper by DQ. Barely a few minutes in with Vyper looking the stronger guy when we startling behaviour from Soldier of Fortune. He sees a bag next to the ring and quickly rushes to his manager, Krakan, and takes his rifle. He then shoots the contents of the bag several times believing it to be containing snakes. Security swarms into the ring and takes the gun off Soldier of Fortune and demands the ref disqualify him. Vyper reveals the bag contained nothing more than a few Savage Kingdom toys which he was going to give out to some kids later on. Vyper fumes and demands a rematch on the next card but is told to wait it out as Soldier of Fortune is committed to tag action. Terak chimes in that this is why tag wrestlers shouldn’t be allowed to compete for singles belts and vice versa
Sam’s Squadron defeats Generation X in a non-title match. US. Patriot pins Metalhead after ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. Big win for the Squadron but it’s not without it’s side effects as Commander Sam is left bloodied after Grunge stumbles over to him in a drunk manner and smashes a beer bottle over his head just for getting in his way. Justice tells Generation X they shouldn’t of done that and once the Enforcers run at the titles the Squadron will be next in line waiting to take them down just like they did tonight
Heracles defeated the Matador of M83. Morpheus throws the Matador under the bus by revealing he has a knee injury before the match. Was it done accidentally on purpose? Maybe Morpheus is showing him whose boss and paying him back for giving him an ultimatum. Heracles now knows the weak spot and goes straight for the injury. The Matador definitely struggles and finds himself trying to just hold on as long as possible. Lacking his usual quickness he’s finding it almost impossible to avoid the powerful moves of Heracles and get any meaningful moves of his own in. Credit where credit is due as Heracles doesn’t waste the opportunity presented to him but will be alarmed that the Matador, even injured, kicks out after OLYMPIA three times. In fact Heracles needs to use a Grecian Sleep Grip and a 6th token to seal the win
Thunder beat Brute by DQ in a regular match. Brute uses BRUTE FORCE unsuccessfully during the match. The violent outcome shows just why Thakur normally decrees special match rules to the majority of Civil War matches
Chaos overcame Lord Nexus thanks to BOW OF DEFEAT (4 times). Just ends up being a squash match. In the current GWF climate Lord Nexus is suffering. “I love wrestling but age is catching up with me and injuries are taking longer to heal. I will go on a bit longer but I am looking forward to moving into managing the team”. Trainer Jim puts his hand on his shoulder “you’ll be a great manager buddy. I know I will be able to move on without any worries. The team will be in safe hands”
The Enforcers coast to victory over the Henchmen. The Enforcers are after a confidence surge to prep for their big title match. They are ultra impressive. Wildcat hits Marcel de Sade with Predator Pounce early and it sets him up for Stalker. The Nomad of Neptune dazzles and uses CALL OF THE WILD to pin de Sade. Dreadnaught got nowhere near the action other than make a couple of pin saves. Generation X (who wrestle later) show up in the runway all boozed up for a closer look at the Enforcers.

Card 639 – Rigel Niva Pavillion:
The Enforcers beat Generation X in a match with Massif as the ref to become the new tag champs. Massif put in charge to control Generation X. Stalker welcomes the decision. Massif rules with an iron rod with a particular penchant for preventing top rope moves and stopping deathjumps. The Enforcers work hard to win the belts with Wildcat connecting with his risky WILDCAT STRIKE on Grunge to end it. Relief as Generation X are dethroned as they had disrespected the belts all through their reign and been poor champions
Hydra Lumberjack match, Mayhem pinned Spike. With the big Gladiator Battlezone bout coming up this is described as a ‘warm up’ match but then Thakur steps in to spice it up. No match between the Gladiators is low key in his eyes and he adds lumberjacks and includes Thrash and Amazonia. The Vanguard lumberjacks play a massive part in a quick match. Mayhem is battering Spike who rolls under the ropes to get away from the pummelling. Not knowing quite where he is ends up on the wrong side of town. Thunder and Thrash descend on him whilst Overkill stands as a shield to stop the legends breaking it up. Vengeance then uses LETHAL CATAPULT on Spike and bundles him back in where Mayhem almost pins him. Spike tries to pull himself back up onto his feet but can barely stand. Just as he gets upright Mayhem charges him with a clothesline and sends him straight back over the ropes backwards. The fall itself was probably enough to finish Spike off but Thunder strikes with THUNDERCLAP and tosses him back again. This time Mayhem easily pins him. The other Legends are a letdown as lumberjacks and unable to intervene. Overkill has both Wolf and Massacre by the throat holding them off. Meanwhile Thunder grapples Brute and Thrash is getting the better of Amazonia. Big marker laid down by the Gladiator Vanguard and a recovery from some recent losses
Overkill beat Vanity after TURNBUCKLE TRAP. Vanity had sent Thrash chocolate and flowers in the hope of getting forgiveness and avoiding this match but there is no escaping what is to come. Nobody upsets the Gladiators without any comeback on it. When Overkill steps in the ring it scares the crap out of Vanity who drops to his knees and tries to use begging tactics. Overkill shows no emotion and picks Vanity up by the throat. Looks like Vanity is going to beaten within an inch of his life but he stays in the match far longer than expected. Even gets a pin attempt in after Overkill botched a turnbuckle smash. The agility of Vanity causes a few problems. Ultimately Overkill was always going to pulverise him at some point and it starts to happen when Vanity is constantly thrown from the ring. Every time he tries to get back in Overkill treads on his fingers. Overkill either gets bored or heeds the threat of a DQ from the ref as he backs off and lets Vanity back into the ring. It doesn’t last too much longer as Vanity is soon given a close up of the turnbuckles and goes down hard. Overkill can’t be bothered to cover properly and just places a big foot across Vanity’s neck for the pin
Titan Fury and the Mercenaries slug out an epic double DQ. Trainer Jim says Rising Sun has guts for throwing himself into these matches despite a tough start to his Titan career. His partner, Dragonmaster, has also heaped praise by stating working with Rising Sun has really helped sharpen his martial arts repertoire after many dojo sessions. With their styles influenced by both boxing and martial arts the Titans are one of the most diverse teams in the GWF. They show themselves as being more than capable of going up against the best teams around as a classic match unfolds against the Mercenaries. Early heat on Vigilante as he runs into DRAGON DROP and SUNSET SPECTACULAR with only the intervention of Krakan saving him. The Mercenaries make the most of the critical interference of their manager as they then bloody Rising Sun and knock him silly with OPERATION: AMBUSH and look assured of victory. Rising Sun has other ideas and brings the crowd to it’s feet by kicking out just in the nick of time. Krakan goes mad at his team on the outside and starts to lose composure as he argues with Trainer Jim and calls Titan Fury cheating scum. The rantings of Krakan seem to distract his men as they take their eye of the ball. Soldier of Fortune foolishly trying to outwit Rising Sun in an aerial battle and coming off second best. Rising Sun quickly gives Dragonmaster the nod and Titan Fury seeks to succeed with their awesome tag team finisher. Their earlier attempts with singles finishers came up short but surely DAY OF THE DRAGON would not fail them. Soldier of Fortune look as if he is out for the count as the move hits but Krakan orders Vigilante into the ring to attack Dragonmaster. Rising Sun flies over the top rope with an awesome flying karate kick which sends Vigilante backwards and straight into the path of the referee. Both Rising Sun and Vigilante continues brawling and Soldier of Fortune recovers to join in. He is soon grappling with Dragonmaster. The dazed official has got no chance of getting it under control and reluctantly rules both teams are disqualified. Trainer Jim laments Krakan for ordering Vigilante to crash the match up and prevent a possible victory for Titan Fury, “Krakan claims he is military genius and dangerous Hitman but when he barks orders like this he just shows that he is a coward. He is scared that a Titan team might actually prove it is superior. I don’t know how he can look at himself in the mirror”
Titan Wrestling overcomes the Henchmen by DQ. Sadly for the Titans this is now seen as an undercard match but Lord Nexus tries to stay enthusiastic and say the team is ready to tackle this latest challenge. Dreadnaught also trying to raise the profile of the match as he says the Titans always made him feel slightly sick “too clean cut for my liking. Watching them get beat up has always been a guilty pleasure of mine”. The Titans are very much on top. Dreadnaught does get some early shots in and staggers Ursa Major with a Torpedo punch but the Titans are soon well in control picking both the Henchmen off with flying dropkicks and fast synchronised aerial attacks. Dreadnaught gets the brunt of most of it. A stint in an abdominal stretch courtesy of Lord Nexus leaves Dreadnaught worse for wear so the former Cosmic Terrorist bails out to recuperate. When he sees Lord Nexus impatiently asking the ref to lay on the count Dreadnaught grabs his legs and throws him forcefully into the crowd barriers. Frustratingly the move is seen as too vicious and the ref gestures for the bell
Pegasus crushes Prodigy. First match of the year for Pegasus who still looks in tip top shape (rumour that he has been wrestling for some other organisations under a mask and calling himself by various names such as Dark Horse, Apollo the Medicine Man and Epsilon). He almost takes Prodigy down in under a minute with TOTAL SUBMISSION. Prodigy narrowly avoids the humiliation and responds briefly but looks out of depth wrestling singles. Trying to do too much too soon Prodigy runs into the turnbuckle and Pegasus shows surprising speed to roll him up. Unlike before Pegasus looks much more serious, no gloating or celebrating. Job done he grabs a towel, quickly acknowledges the crowd support and goes on his way.
Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad … the Occult Overlord
Johnny Rocket feels vindicated as the GWF decides not to cancel his show. So far they have found nothing to suggest Johnny is involved with Kronoscam. Although the suspicions are still plaguing him and he gets some mild fan abuse. He is pretty unpopular these days and always comes out and acts like he is bigger than his guests. Tonight is no exception. Clearly everything is going to his head.
Onto the show and discension was the word on everybodys minds and it was the word on Johnny Rocket’s lips. The rumours that Ram and Bishop Hell detest eachother are rife, apparently it is just a case of waiting for the bubble to burst. And ever the roving reporter Johnny Rocket investigates.
Johnny Rocket: “Ah welcome Mr. Overlord! It must be nice to be somewhere serene and peaceful. Nice to get away from the Brotherhood bickering and all the brainwashing … ”
Occult Overlord: (snatching the mic) “Shut up you insolent meddling fool! You are just as annoying as you are corrupt! I won’t allow you to plant seeds of doubt into my followers”
Johnny Rocket: “I ain’t planting nothing. Just seems your team is in a dark place. Arguing and the results are bad”
Occult Overlord: “I ought to put my Bishop … erm, I mean my Brotherhood team onto you. We are the greatest team in the galaxy along with the Citadel of the Elite. And let me guarantee we are all very happy. It’s peace and tranquility in the Brotherhood at the moment.”
Johnny Rocket: “You what! Peace and tranquility give me a break. That is not how it seemed when we saw footage of the match between Ram and Dragonmaster on Deimos. It was a calamity. The Brotherhood just looks like a dumping ground for weirdos and jobbers. Actually I’m surprised Bishop Hell is still part of it all because he has still got star quality. So now I’ll ask you what is going on?”
Occult Overlord: “YOU ARE A PROPHET OF DOOM! Going around sucking the life out of everything with stupid statements and annoying questions. I suggest you that you cease concerning yourself with the matters of the Brotherhood. (now losing composure) It w-was a nice gesture, yeah a gesture from Bishop Hell to accompany Ram to the ring. As you remember I was ill.”
Johnny Rocket: “Sounds like you don’t have the foggiest idea. Your just some kind of zealous preacher going around peddling nonsense but the truth is you can’t even see what’s right under your own nose. Things look bleak for the Brotherhood if you ask me”
Occult Overlord: “As a matter of fact there are plans to clear the air. Bishop Hell suggested a match at FESTIVAL OF FIRE where the loser must say sorry. Both are proud men and feel this is the best way to settle their minor disagreements. After that we can all get back to preaching the ways of the Brotherhood and beating those disgusting blasphemous Titans. This interview is now over”
Occult Overlord’s attempts to portray harmony has ended in an unusual situation as Bishop Hell and Ram sign a ‘loser must apologise’ match. As soon as the Overlord leaves the studio arguing can be heard between him and what sounds like a disgruntled Ram. It fades off into the distance allowing Johnny to close the show. He signs off with a heartfelt plea to the fans about his own problems. He assures them he loves the GWF and would never do anything to jeopardise his role as a commentator and interview host. He is just as concerned as everyone else about the Kronoscam leaks and will assist in anyway possible to help solve the riddle and uncover the perpetrators.
COMING NEXT #640 IS FESTIVAL OF FIRE FROM THE VENUS SPACE STATION COMPLEX

Card 640 – FESTIVAL OF FIRE 2 – Venus Space Station Complex:
Battlezone Titan Death matches, Gladiator Vanguard wins against Gladiator Legends. It’s a tale of woe for the Legends. They took it to a final match but were mostly playing catch up. Wolf is already bloody before the main event gets underway. Mayhem suspected of jumping him in the parking lot. Mayhem makes no effort to deny when outraged complex workers call for him to be made accountable for the damage sustained out there “I am always accountable for my actions. What can I say. I’m a bad man. Thakur will pick up the tab”. Picking through the bones of it all. Match order ... In a classic opening battle Massacre uses THE CLEANSING six times on his way to beating Vengeance; Mayhem almost immediately levels things up as he runs riot against Massacre. It only lasts a couple of minutes and in that short time Mayhem manages to both miss and then hit LEAP OF DOOM (+6); Extreme action galore as Wolf and Mayhem go at it. Mayhem tries to end it early with LEAP OF DOOM but misses (ultimately he will use it again to win the match with a crushing +5 impact). He also puts many tokens on Wolf with DANGER ZONE but cannot get a successful follow up pin. It’s not all Mayhem though as Wolf snares SAVAGE FACE CLAW. Blood drips from Wolf’s claws as the hold takes effect on Mayhem’s cranium but even this isn’t enough. The battle rages on and nothing seems able to split them. Thakur suddenly emerges from the runway and speaks sternly to the ring announcer. Frozen with fear at the presence of the Aethran Minister the announcer stutters over the speaker system, as the match continues, that a time limit of 5 minutes has been imposed. If the match is not over by this time then both combatants will be eliminated from the Battlezone. The pace suddenly steps up to an even more furious level. Neither worrying about the risks to their bodies. Mayhem just seems to have a little more left in the tank and with less than 30 seconds remaining leaps at Wolf with near perfect timing for the win; Brute seeks to mop up against Mayhem who is crimson and blowing big time. Mayhem threatens to take another scalp but for the third match in a row misses LEAP OF DOOM and this time he cannot recover. Mayhem is dead on his feet as Brute goes for the kill and hits hard with Runaway Cannon and then BRUTE FORCE; Thunder withstands a battering from Brute to win after a nifty sunset flip; Spike takes it to a tense decider despite being dominated by Thunder. MEGADESTROYER stops Thunder in his tracks. Mouth watering prospect of Spike now facing Overkill for glory; Overkill takes an incredible final victory over Spike in a nail biting finish. Amazing twists and turns throughout. Spike is favoured to win as he is more used to singles action. He weathers the awesome power of Overkill and looks like he is primed to seal a Legends victory. Then a major swing happens. Is it a big mistake from Spike or a moment of powerful brilliance from Overkill? Spike climbs to the top turnbuckle ready to come crashing down. Overkill who moments before was off his feet and barely moving suddenly picks himself up. Arrogant smile changes to panic on Spike’s face as he is caught in no man’s land. Overkill grabs him and in one of the most memorable shows of strength in GWF history presses Spike high above his head. He holds him there for about 30 seconds and then drops him over the ropes and about ten feet onto concrete. Spike is stunned as Overkill fetches him back in the ring and pins him
Lumberjack match, Janus defeated Exo-King to remain the Heavyweight champ. Here we go again. It feels like these two have been contesting the title for a long time now. This has to be the conclusion to their rivalry. Becomes very clear that Exo-King’s lumberjacks are prepared to work harder for him than those off Janus. On two separate occasions Defender and then Jack make vital saves after Janus ties the King up in GORDION KNOT. Star Warrior and Lord Nexus are also battling hard and largely keep the likes of Chaos, the Matador and Superiority Complex occupied. Sadly Exo-King cannot rely on them completely and is just not good enough to hold off Janus forever. He gets very disoriented after a surprise show of strength from Janus to pick him up in an airplane spin and it’s enough to finish this feud off. Exo-King makes a big effort to praise his lumberjacks and valued friends hours after the event and hopes this will not be the end of his belt contesting days. Janus is becoming a solid champ and continues for another month at least which will be driving his team mates Chaos and the Matador mad with jealousy
TOC belt match, Dynamo beats Thantos by DQ. Lots of head scratching as Thantos is wearing the belt. At short notice he has had a new one made. Match is forgettable as Cassandra picks up the replica causing Thantos to leave the ring and retrieve it from her. Dynamo tried to pounce on him whilst this is going on so Thantos turns round and lays him out with the belt. Given the recent antics of Dynamo it’s a move that gets high crowd approval
Max Shield beats Mandrill by DQ. Mandrill is wearing the TOC belt he stole from Thantos and claims he is the champ. However he isn’t brave enough to put it up for grabs here. He even takes steps to ensure Max cannot take it by chaining it to a ring post and hiding the key before commencing the match. Max uses his forcefield powers effectively to stifle Mandrill and claims a major opening victory in this feud. Mandrill is riled by Max’s resistance and is caught red handed with VOLTAIC STUNNER. It’s notable that we haven’t had a clean finish between them yet and special match rules are calling but Max doesn’t care. It’s a big supercard triumph and hopes he is now starting on the path to success
Chaos defeated Splatter with BOW OF DEFEAT. Told you Splatter wouldn’t get away with picking Chaos out for a lottery win. He now comes face to face with the big man and of course he is without his famous weapon. Chaos does more or less what he pleases in the ring but Splatter does tease some kind of resistance and even hits THE SHREDDER but it’s a fleeting period of offence. Chaos goes right back to his overpowering style and crushes Splatter’s ribs. He even gets two for the price of one as Krakan piles into him and gets flattened for his troubles
Bishop Hell easily beats Ram in a ‘Loser Must Apologise’ match with Titan Death rules. Toothless from Ram as he gets roasted by HELLFIRE and then polished off with a backbreaker. Ram is forced to accept his defeat and apologise over the mic saying he has been selfish and crying to get his own way. Bishop Hell wants more from him and demands he gets down and kiss his feet but Ram tries to keep hold of his last shred of dignity by refusing. Bishop Hell ignites his hand in a threatening manner and Ram fearing for what may happen gets down obligingly
Vyper overcomes Enigma. Darkos appears in pre match interviews on crutches claiming he is injured and cannot wrestle. Turns out he has a big snake phobia. How did Darkos and Vyper manage to co-exist on the same team for so long? The match that we got instead is a cracker though as both men cover every inch of that ring. It’s a blistering pace. Darkos is a latecomer to the match coming out and the crutch is used as a weapon but Vyper is in top form and wins via VYPER’S SIDESHOW. It’s been a breakthrough night for Vyper. Respect must also go to Enigma who continues to thrill. Often criticised for taking too many chances but he is always quick to point out that he likes to entertain (even though he is a villain) and takes calculated risks. The most dissapointing thing about the defeat for Enigma was that a win would of pushed him right back into the IP title picture. Vyper will be keen to get his hands on Darkos but his feud with Soldier of Fortune simmers. As Vyper has his hand raised in victory something opens from the rafters and hundreds of Hitman calling cards flutter into the ring
Colussus and Alpha Force grapple Superiority Complex to a double DQ. Superiority Complex taking things very seriously as they have fallen off the radar recently and are aiming for a big scalp. To beat big enemies of the Citadel and two of the most successful current singles guys on the roster would certainly do that. Prodigy is turning up the heat big time with lots of heel bragging. Claims Colussus is overrated and no matter what he does will always be a freak whilst Alpha Force is washed up. Omega speaks on behalf of his wrestlers saying that his guys are fed up with Superiority Complex shooting their mouths off but plan to let their wrestling do the talking. That is exactly what they appear to do but are cruelly denied victory. Alpha Force strikes Prodigy down several times with TOMAHAWK THRUST but each time he tries to make the pin something happens. First Morpheus pulls of a cunning distraction. Second time it happens Alpha Force loses his temper with Morpheus and ends up chasing Morpheus round the ring and costing the chance to win and almost getting himself counted-out in the process. The final time is the last straw as Skinhead breaks the Alpha Force’s pin attempt. This enrages Colussus who had been trying to keep calm throughout all the shenanigans. Colussus storms in and starts brawling with both Morpheus and Skinhead. Prodigy joins in once he feels better and goes toe to toe with Alpha Force. The bell goes and the Champions team is considered unlucky. Morpheus rants post match that his suit got ripped as a result of Colussus’s unacceptable and violent behaviour. He plans to send the bill for repairs right to Omega’s door
Milky Way Falls Count Anywhere Match, Raven destroys Doomsayer. A new match to savour but it almost never goes out of the ring. Raven hits Doomsayer with Vulture Dive and BROADSWORD in the opening minute and almost beats Doomsayer there and then. Doomsayer does not know what’s hit him as Raven then uses WAR Gun. In a desperate measure Doomsayer rolls outside the ring only for Raven to suplex him onto a seat vacated by a frightened fan. It’s all over as Raven pins Doomsayer surrounded by cheering fans
Kati upsets the Matador of M83. Kati is still part time and not on any team so uses this match to put himself in the shop window. They don’t comes much bigger than wrestling the legendary Matador. The Samoan Warrior claims an incredible victory. There is no doubting the Matador lacked motivation and was unhappy with his match stating he has bigger fish to fry. He is not wanting to be mired in a petty matches with the likes of Kati. But it’s no excuse for not giving his best. Katie is able to work himself into a winning position by using SAMOAN REVENGE. Morpheus tries to avoid humiliation by interfering but Kati meets him with a clothesline and then narrowly misses the pin. The time taken to deal with Morpheus looks to of saved the Matador but only just. However, Kati is not to be denied as he keeps up the pace and executes a lovely flying leg drop and this time grabs the pin. The Matador is in big trouble with two crushing defeats this month.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2100 CARDS 637 - 640)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Janus (Top Contender: Mayhem) * GWF Tag Champs: The Enforcers (Top Contenders: Sam’s Squadron) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Soldier of Fortune (Top Contender: Vyper)
Latest News:
Tough juggling all the stuff going on but sure is good fun. Enjoying 2100 so far. Anyway, kicking off with a whole glut of news updates, Vyper is unhappy at the refusal of Darkos to wrestle him and claims he is feigning injury. “His fear of snakes makes me laugh considering he is such a snake himself. He can’t avoid me forever”. In fact the critics are out in full force as pictures of him performing in a play the night before soon go up around social media leaving the leader of the Assassins shame faced. Vyper is proving to be a really interesting and fun character. Gets showered with praise for his win at FESTIVAL OF FIRE for the way he adapted at short notice and overcame Enigma. His snake handling is not only unsettling Darkos but also the Hitmen as he exposes deep lying fears. He is having a big battle with Soldier of Fortune over the IP belt and it’s proving to be one of those decent offbeat feuds that sometimes just pop up.
Levels of anxiety getting to the Occult Overlord who is now carrying a relaxation bracelet with him everywhere he goes. Anytime things get too much (which is often) he taps it to start playing soothing music and create a tranquil place to help him deal with whatever major stress event is happening. Things get worse for him as Ram buries him in GWI mag by revealing some of his strange habits. Team yoga sessions, flower arranging to help bonding and leaving notes of positivity (to himself) all around the main team base. The Overlord is a laughing stock but doesn’t have the backing to turn on Ram. Oddly enough Bishop Hell finds it quite funny and now sees Ram in a slightly different light, Pharoah Khety is too obsessed with looking into his past life to avenge his murder to care whilst both Gemini and Mesmer have always quietly been Ram sympathisers so they are unlikely to do anything either. He doesn’t have too much support and if anything his team finds the way he sits on their shoulders preaching a stifling presence.
The Matador feels he is owed an explanation from Morpheus after #638. Breaking silence he says “treating a champion that reigned nearly 100 cards like that is not acceptable on any level. I am the cream of the crop and deserve respect”. Morpheus explains the reason was to show that even when carrying an injury the Citadel wrestlers are so superior to the Champions and can still win their matches. He urges the Matador to stick with him and success will come again. Things go quiet after this as the Matador retreats back into his shell but there is something simmering here.
It’s like some sort of soap drama as Cassandra and Dynamo confirm that they are now an item. Cassandra is even appearing as a host on adult dating shows after the video drama. She then makes an offer to Ms. Liberty to join their next video and calls her a ‘forbidden fruit’ that will make the chase even more thrilling. US. Patriot is enraged to hear such suggestions. The whole saga of recent weeks are thought to be a series of staged events by Dynamo and Cassandra to raise the profile of the Raw Power team and push them up the card. Possible the pair of them have been taking advice from a media expert in ways to boost their careers and become talking points. Cassandra bites back with a post on Spacebook saying “our relationship is not a sham. He makes my heart flutter every time he comes near me”.
Johnny Rocket is accused of having friends in high places as the heat is off and his show continues. He is also made editor of GWI (Galactic Wrestling Illustrated). He is getting a bit big for his boots now. Seen dining at a posh restaurant with a known criminal he tells some fellow journalists to back off and later gets security to throw them out. Is the lucrative role a smokescreen for other activities? There are plenty within the GWF that do not trust Johnny and trying to sniff out a trail of deceit and treachery.
New Order and Generation X faced off a few cards ago and the feud is ready to heat up again. Grunge goads Dreggs by saying he and Metalhead are more alike than he thinks. “Maybe Dreggs should join our team. He is going nowhere in WAR. We were the champions. Shows our partying and brawling is more successful. What has New Order achieved in the last few years? Dreggs think he is noble but deep down he wants to be part of it all. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!”
TOC belt drama. Mandrill steals the belt Thantos has been defending and is now going around as the champ. Thantos claims it was never on the line and has had a replacement made. So we now have two champs going around defending the same belt. The GWF is looking closely at this and currently refuses to recognise the title. A statement from head office “we do not see the TOC belt as an official title of the GWF. Therefore we cannot act on the appeal of Thantos to look into the matter”.
Exo-King was unable to wrest the Galaxian belt from Janus but made a great effort. He will face Janus in one last match as he teams with the unpredictable Defender of the Realm against Chaos and Janus. How will this fair with some of the internal heat that exists within both teams?
Vanity has got the Gladiator Vanguard led by Overkill gunning for him. How does he manage to get himself into these things?!
CIVIL WAR WATCH ... The big Battlezone meeting ends in favour of the Vanguard. The Legends had been threatening a revival but two big losses this month has set them back to square one. Adding to their struggles Wolf is apparently losing interest and already looking to 2101. Even if the Legends win he is not the sort of guy to stick around. Thakur still thinks he has power over Wolf and can banish him at the end of Civil War if he is on the losing team. Massacre hopes Wolf doesn’t get too wound up and turn his back on the battle, “it’s better to have him on our side than against us”. Mayhem has been unleashed by Thakur to capture the Heavyweight belt after being named as top contender.
WHOSE HOT – Mayhem, Overkill, Vyper, Chaos, Pegasus, Raven, the Enforcers, Sam’s Squadron WHOSE NOT – Enigma, Ram, Spike, Exo-King, Vengeance, the Matador, Titan Wrestling, Generation X INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – none
Wrestler of the Month: MAYHEM – Beats off stiff competition from the likes of Overkill, Vyper and Chaos to claim the award. Wins because he helped carry the Vanguard team back into a commanding lead in the Civil War after defeating Spike in singles action and then claiming the MVP award in the recent Battlezone challenge by turning the match around from what had looked to be a desperate position in the beginning.
Tag Team of the Month: THE ENFORCERS – If becoming new tag champions cannot claim the monthly award then nothing will. They have answered the critics who said they didn’t deserve their shot at the belts by taking the fight to Generation X to claim the gold. Now they aiming to be the first Savage Kingdom team to hold onto a belt. They are currently considering a challenge from Sam’s Squadron that also awaits GWF approval.

FED FLASHBACK
Episode 7 – RIOTING ROYALS – Fire Island:
(Johnny Rocket is off hosting duties for this one. Apparently he is too busy in his new role as editor of GWI. So instead an old favourite of the classics area, KO Keller, helps plunder the archives and brings his own inimitable style to the mic for this latest blast from the past. It’s a masterful discovery as it’s another dark card from the early days of 2086/87. It can’t be dated exactly but it features the Duke of Destruction against Lord Nexus. So maybe this was before his power struggle with Exo-King (which we now know he lost). In fact the Evil Ones or Royal Court, they went by both names in the early days, feature very heavily on the show. Exo-King and Killer Queen take on a unique tag team of Star Warrior and Wolf in a real collectors item. Star Warrior and Wolf don masks and call themselves the Galactic Heroes and have Proteus in their corner. Wolf may of been fiercely independent over the years but he had a big friendship with Proteus and also huge respect for Star Warrior (so much so that they found themselves teaming together once more in late 2087 to battle the Gladiators and again in 2091 as the Special Forces with mixed results). KO Keller muses over the matches and says he often wondered how he would have fared in the newer more violent group focused GWF had he stayed on longer)
The Galactic Heroes (Wolf and Star Warrior) match with Exo-King and Killer Queen descends into a double DQ. Exo-King describes his upcoming opponents as a pair of comic book brawlers and thinks the masks they are wearing look ridiculous. Star Warrior aims to prove him wrong. After some early jousting things start to ramp up. Star Warrior connects with NOVA LAUNCH on Killer Queen but is prevented from tasting victory as Death Knight charged in. Dismayed by the intrusion Wolf rushes in and tosses Death Knight out to the floor. He then howls at Star Warrior to keep up the heat on Killer Queen. Obligingly Star Warrior dances round the Queen peppering him with boxing jabs. The Queen wobbles and then his legs give way and he hits the deck. Again the pin attempt is foiled as Exo-King steps over the top rope and picks Star Warrior up. Enough is enough for Proteus, who is in their corner, he flies into the ring and starts brawling with Exo-King. Death Knight has now climbed back up and he and Wolf start tearing strips out of each other. The ref has lost control and ends the match. For a while the heroes are outnumbered and getting it from all angles as Duke of Destruction joins the Evil Ones but they raise the roof by linking up perfectly and cleaning out the ring. Proteus then reaches into a bag he had brought to ringside with him. Everyone assumed it contained a weapon but instead he pulls out a bottle of wine to toast getting the better of the Evil Ones with his masked buddies
Lord Nexus has far too much in the locker for Duke of Destruction and easily beats him with TITAN DROP
Omega beats Death Knight. Gung ho from Death Knight as he immediately charges at Omega but misses and ricochets off the turnbuckle. Omega then needs just a few more moves to pick him off with TOMAHAWK THRUST
Brute and Massacre defeated the Space Croppers after Beast-Rider leaps off the top turnbuckle at Brute but gets caught and slammed in one devastating movement. The Space Croppers feeling hard done by having come close to an upset as Renegade had used SPINECRACKER on both Gladiators
Krakan beats Pit Viper in a match billed as ‘Grudge City’. Viper wants to even the score against Krakan whom he blames chiefly for his brutal facial attack for being the brains behind the operation. Sadly Viper gets another going over. After fighting valiantly Viper goes down to FALLING FACE SLAM. Krakan then tries to pull Viper’s mask off and expose his wounded face. He gets met with resistance so Krakan throws a chair in the ring and starts beating on Viper. Gasps from the crowd as fear of another massive attack happening but this time Viper’s Titan team mates are close and all run out to stop the attack developing and force Krakan to back off
Pulsar is hot beating the Executioner by DQ. The Executioner is taken aback by Pulsar’s intensity and is almost pinned by WHIRLWIND.

Card 641 – NETWORK DEIMOS WRESTLING – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
(Read below for details of the Flamboyance-Thunder and Overkill match but it’s worth noting that Vanity was so frightened and humiliated that he spent the entire remainder of the card under the ring. He refused to come out until the show was over and everyone had left. Considering he was only 2nd match on means he spent several hours under there. Good job he doesn’t suffer from claustrophobia)
Hitman Match with IP belt suspended at the top, Soldier of Fortune defeated Vyper. There is also a bag at the top of the pole which is rumoured to be containing a snake. Unfortunately we never get to find out as Soldier of Fortune ends Vyper’s brave attempt to win the belt. He withstands Vyper’s early pressure and uses THE REVENGER to buy him enough time to retrieve the belt and ignore the suspicious bag. Disappointing for the Savage Kingdom. Often seen as one of the weaker hero groups historically but had Vyper won they would of been in possession of two out of the three recognised GWF belts
TOC belt match, Thantos manages to overcome Dynamo. It’s a tough battle and Thantos suffers in MUSCLE RIPPER but in the end fights his way to a count-out success. Dynamo and Cassandra spent large parts of the match keeping up the pretence that they are besotted with one another. Poor Thantos looked physically sick watching their carry on
Max Shield and Star Warrior beat Mandrill and Bishop Hell by DQ in a match with Massif as the special referee. A match to honour old and new feuds. With Massif presiding over it the hope was that it may be less likely to end in DQ but sadly that wasn’t the case. The villain pair tried all the old tricks to prey on Max’s inexperience. For example Bishop Hell playing dead in the ring when really he was unhurt. Max later recounts the match and laughs when he sees that footage “Bishop Hell must think I was born yesterday. It’s not as if I’ve never stepped in a ring before”. Sensing that Max was being targeted Star Warrior picked up the baton and had a decent duel with Bishop Hell but then got into some strife up against Mandrill. He was weakened by a top rope clothesline and then felt VOLTAIC STUNNER. Massif either missed it or let it go and Star Warrior only just kicked out when Mandrill covered. Visibly annoyed Mandrill went for his illegal move again but Massif was in no mood to let it go a second time and called the bell there on the spot. For a minute it looked like Mandrill might square up to Massif over the decision but he decides to back off and instead trades insults with his feud enemy Max Shield on his way out of the ring
Chaos and Janus defeated Exo-King and Defender of the Realm. Chaos sees red mist when Defender beams a photoshopped image of Chaos dressed in a clown suit onto the arena ceiling and warns him he’ll be punished for it. There’s also a fair bit of lingering heat between Janus and Exo-King. Added to the rumoured animosity between Chaos and Janus it makes for a combustible atmosphere. A very significant moment early on as Defender of the Realm nails Janus with DEFENDER CANNON and Chaos makes no attempt to help him. When Morpheus is later interviewed about it he brushes it under the carpet and is only concerned with bragging about another dominant Citadel win. Janus had survived the Cannon and after several minutes tag exchanging and back and forth action Chaos made good on his threat to punish Defender. A rib busting 6 applications of BOW OF DEFEAT left Defender struggling for breath at the climax
Titan Death Match, Monad crushed Alpha Force. Alpha Force is dealing with the unfamiliar as he tries to contain Monad’s arms. It’s an untidy monstrosity of a match and Alpha Force cannot get his rhythm. Monad causes a lot of damage by throwing Alpha Force with the full force of all four arms into the commentator’s table causing everyone to scatter. Monad then pitches him back in and soon takes victory with QUADRUPLE CLAMP. Doomsayer is still hoping his creation can capture the Heavyweight belt and sees this win as a major step. Monad had lost some of the initial aura of invincibility but this domination of a legendary champion has got the galaxy talking again
Amazonia gets a crucial win over Thrash in a Lepus Stun Rod match. Amazonia shows she is no angel when it comes to ring action not hesitating to smash Thrash with her shield and make full use of the Stun Rod at every given opportunity. Thrash shows how tough she is by taking all this punishment and accumulating tokens to fightback with a brutal battering that would make Aethra proud (do Aethrans feel emotions like this?) and leave Amazonia staring down the barrel of defeat. But in a style so typical of her mate, Wolf, Amazonia stages a fightback of her own. Seizing an opportunity to grab the Rod one last time having been forced outside she grabs it and nails Thrash as she tries to pull her back into the ring by her hair. Thrash staggers backwards in shock. Quick as lightening Amazonia then executes a flying toss and swiftly makes a successful cover. Amazonia flaunts the win by doing a warrior dance in front of Thrash which drives her nuts and triggers a response that revenge will be swift
Thunder and Overkill beat Flamboyance by count-out. Vanity is fearful of what Overkill might do to him. The only thing in his favour is that Thrash is not at ringside on bodyguard duty because she is preparing for a match so it means Maxine Babe can try and pull some distractions but even she is frozen with fear and too scared to do much of anything. The defeatist attitude Vanity goes into the match with is fatal and he is unsurprisingly beaten black and blue by Thunder and Overkill. He tries to stay out of the action as much as possible but Queenie is none to keen to engage the Gladiators either and won’t let Vanity shun his share of the workload. Vanity finds himself caught outside the ring and on the wrong side of it. Both Gladiators corner him and despite the begging of Vanity they spare no sympathy for him. Thunder picks him up and drops him right across the top of the crowd barrier. Overkill then presses him high above his head and drops him hard. They then kick Vanity, who is now bloodied and cowering, right underneath the ring. Where was the ref during all this? Well he was busy trying to calm a hysterical Maxine Babe down so was pretty oblivious to what was happening. All he was aware of when he managed to offload Maxine Babe to some medics was that Vanity appeared to be AWOL and so he started his count and was soon proclaiming the Gladiators as winners. He tried to raise their hands but Thunder and Overkill refused to let him touch them
Marcel de Sade defeated Mutant by DQ. Too casual from de Sade as he lets a match of total domination almost slip and ends up scraping a narrow victory. He had just thrown Mutant over the top rope which is always a bad idea considering its unpredictable nature. However he then goads it and challenges to give him it’s best shot. Mutant stares at him confused and then suddenly makes an instinctive charge towards him. Under the impetus de Sade falls backwards and smashes the back of his head on the concrete floor and looks to be knocked out from the fall. Mutant doesn’t want to or know how to capitalise on this so instead grabs de Sade and carries on ramming his head repeatedly onto the floor. The ref calls for help and several men try and fail to get Mutant off. It needs an invasion of heavily built security guys (some of whom are local wrestlers) to eventually overpower and control Mutant. Amid the confusion the ring announcer proclaims de Sade the winner by DQ. Not quite how de Sade saw the script. He may of won the match but he also won himself a night in hospital and only has himself to blame.
***BREAKING NEWS***
Contract drama as Defender of the Realm is unhappy with the pay offs he has been getting in the King’s Court. Obviously not content with the Collector’s retirement his split personality has now led him into conflict with his biggest supporter, Exo-King. He argues that the wool has been pulled over his eyes and he is not getting his fair share whilst everyone else is making big bucks. The outcome of which is that he threatens to leave the team. Exo-King (getting fed up with Defender’s endless dramas) calls his bluff so Defender walks. He will now wrestle alone and without friends. Deep down Exo-King believes he’ll come crawling back, “he won’t be able to cope without anyone to watch his back, we are the only friends he’s got. No team would touch him with a barge pole with that baggage. Not even Cannibal”

Card 642 – Titan Sportatorium:
Sam’s Squadron defeated the Enforcers in a classic to capture the tag belts. Respect exists between these two popular teams but Sam gets temperatures on the rise by saying whilst Terak is a good friend he would love to take the tag belts off his team. The ref is a stickler and doesn’t allow any double teaming and manages to stop all pin saves. Despite the restrictions it doesn’t disrupt the flow of the match and it’s full of dramatic incident. Adam coming close with FREEDOM FLYER early. Then in an amazing sequence Wildcat misses WILDCAT STRIKE on Justice who then immediately goes for SHOCK PROBATION but Wildcat wriggles free causing him to miss too. Scarcely able to believe it Wildcat goes for his risky finisher again and this time connects but cannot secure the pin. Major let off for the Squadron. The tussle continues and no betting man would even want to call it but Justice gets a decent offensive run on Stalker which culminates in another attempt with SHOCK PROBATION (+3) and it is enough to finish Stalker and win the belts. The Enforcers look devastated to lose but offer handshakes and leave the Squadron to celebrate. In the space of a couple cards the Savage Kingdom goes from being on the cusp of holding two titles to having nothing. Darkos cannot help taunting them on Spacebook calling their initial title victory lucky and now normal order is restored. He then suggests the Demons of Hydra will give the new champs a better match and offers up a challenge for the belts. Commander Sam says if the Demons can prove themselves worthy by defeating the Enforcers in a match they’ll consider it. The GWF championship committee is quick to back the suggestion and says whichever team wins will get the next shot
Thantos and the Henchmen defeat Doomsayer and the Pillars of Power in a best of three falls match. Dynamo quips on whether the local old folks home had forgotten to lock it’s door, “it’s pathetic to watch these guys trying to re-live the glory days”. Thantos says they can joke all they like but he is proud to be the longest serving member of the roster and has great confidence in his team. Match itself is a bit of a slog to watch though as the build up probably served as the best part. The lower energy levels of the old timers hampers them and Marcel de Sade was only just passed fit by doctors the day before after his hospital visit last week. Despite age and injury being against them they dig deep and get a bit of unexpected help as the first fall goes the way of Thantos and the Henchmen. Dreadnaught winning by DQ against Powerhouse who basically loses complete control of himself. Dreadnaught taunts him during a brawl by saying something about Massif and it provokes a big reaction. Powerhouse needing to maybe consider a course in anger management before it costs his team more matches; Second fall sees Thantos engage in a gruelling battle with Doomsayer and gain a sweep victory after hitting a power bomb. The Henchmen are quick to block off any interference from the Pillars but it’s still a surprise to see Doomsayer get stunned long enough by this move to get pinned. Another good night for Thantos who is having a great year so far and good to see old legends grabbing success
Cage Match, Vengeance overcomes Skinhead. The Gladiators have always co-existed with the Citadel (or whoever is considered the main villain team at the time) but there has always been suspicion towards the other. Both camps believing they are the most superior team. So it’s no surprise this rare match between members of both teams is fought with high intensity. Vengeance makes most of the running and with no ref to stop him attempts to use a foreign object against Skinhead. It soon becomes a battle for it’s possession when it gets knocked out of Vengeance’s hand. They end up grappling on the ground and Skinhead reaches out for the spiked object but Vengeance pulls him back just as his fingertips make contact. Vengeance gets hold of it and uses it for Eye Cleaver. It’s the beginning of the end for Skinhead and he gets laid out with LETHAL CATAPULT. The victorious Vengeance announces an intent to go after the IP belt (normally seen as worthless among Aethrans) as the Gladiators aim to bring all the belts into the Civil War conflict
Thrash wipes the floor with Cassandra by beating her in two moves. Despite a big rep this is not expected to be a foregone conclusion for Thrash as Cassandra has proven many times to be dangerous and underestimated at one’s peril. However Cassandra gets completely blown away by Thrash who is still smarting at a recent loss to Amazonia. Thrash punishes Cassandra with FEMME FATAL in less than 20 seconds to give Amazonia a little taster of what’s coming her way
Titan Battlezone Challenge, the Fighting Titans win in a classic comeback over the Brotherhood. Titan’s on home soil and wanting to put on a show. Interesting that both teams are sending their strongest stars out first. The opener is always important to set a team off and for that reason Rising Sun is up to face Bishop Hell first. Here’s the tale of the tape ... Bishop Hell beats Rising Sun in a disastrous start for the Titans. Rising Sun uses an old Titan trick as he runs up the turnbuckle with his powerful legs and flips back with a somersault and attempts a flying kick. The Titan crowd gasps as Bishop Hell just about gets out of it’s path and Rising Sun collides awkwardly with the floor. Bishop Hell wastes no time and unloads HELLFIRE for a quick smash and grab victory; Bishop Hell eliminates Dragonmaster also with HELLFIRE. What’s the matter with this ref? He is missing everything. Titans in turmoil. Trainer Jim sweating outside as he fears for the remainder of the match. There’s not even a token on Bishop Hell yet; Bishop Hell beats Ursa Major once again using HELLFIRE. The Overlord is so confident that the ref is not prepared to DQ anyone that he isn’t even bothering to try his usual distractive preaching methods. Bishop Hell is hot but it’s not a walkover by any stretch of the imagination against Ursa Major. The youngster manages to at least put a couple of tokens on Bishop Hell and even utilise SHOTGUN CRADLE to give the Titan crowd something to briefly cheer. In the end it’s not enough and Ursa Major starts to take a terrific amount of punishment. Fearing for the youngster Trainer Jim bravely throws himself into the ring to try and absorb the blows and help out but he’s no match for Bishop Hell and is quickly clotheslined over the top rope. Ursa Major is now a sitting duck and soon pinned to mean a third Titan is eliminated. It’s proving to be an awful night for the Fighting Titans and a humiliating whitewash looms large. Quasar comes in next to try and somehow repair the damage; Quasar beats Bishop Hell to finally register a Titan win. Quasar shows a belief that he can salvage something and really takes it to Bishop Hell knocking him clean out the ring with a Gravity Ball Tackle. As he goes to fetch him in the ring Bishop Hell picks up the Overlord’s staff and swings at him. Finally the ref decides to issue a DQ; Quasar gets the better of Ram in one of the best matches of the year so far. The Overlord deserts Ram for this match which is telling (later claims he was busy preparing the remaining Occult members with tactics). So much going on, tokens galore. Ram missed RAM CHARGE an astonishing four times and hit it once whilst Quasar attempted HIGH ROLLER five times. Quasar’s dazzling finisher finally came good for him to beat Ram but he is looking very worse for wear. Can he survive another match? With the weaker followers of the Brotherhood left just maybe there is now a chance for the Titans; Quasar keeps going and pins Gemini after HIGH ROLLER. He has hauled the Titans level. Massive change in the home crowd mood now and next up is Pharoah Khety who does not look at all comfortable on his way to the ring; Quasar continues his amazing run with a fourth successive win over Pharoah Khety using HIGH ROLLER again; Quasar completes the astonishing turnaround by defeating Mesmer again with HIGH ROLLER. Mesmer cannot work his magic and finds Quasar’s fast paced and direct style beyond his capabilities. Not seen anything quite like the crowd reaction to the win. Quasar deserves their adulation as he has single handedly ploughed through the entire Brotherhood team. Lord Nexus (who didn’t get to wrestle) comes out to celebrate with Quasar and offers a popular embrace
Kati defeated the Matador of M83 again. He has to survive BULLWHIP but eventually uses SAMOAN REVENGE for the third time in the match to win. The Matador has been facing an inquisition over recent results and although he has tried to keep a relaxed stance about it he cannot get the humiliation of losing to Kati out of his head. The Matador wants to set things straight here but things don’t get any better for him. Morpheus is missing from ringside after an agreement that when the Matador wrestles singles matches it’s better this way. Perhaps he could of used his manager’s help as once again the Matador is not at his best. Kati comes out fighting and pinches an unexpected second successive victory. Will the Matador let sleeping dogs lie and give up on facing Kati? Happy to be in the spotlight Kati says he will wrestle him again if he likes and keep on beating him until he finally gets the recognition he deserves.

Card 643 – Mimas Spectrum:
Thunder pinned Brute in a regular match. Frustration creeping in as neither Gladiator shows much. Brute is very defensive and Thunder struggles to break him down. Thakur makes an unexpected appearance shortly after it’s climax (it had been said Thakur was attending to ministerial duties and was unavailable to rule what form the match would take). His arrival causes a stir and he summons both back to the ring and tells them that the levels were unacceptable. They must do it again on the next card and raise their efforts or return to Aethra for punishment
Vengeance annihilated Vanity with LETHAL CATAPULT ending the suffering. Not a good time for Vanity with all these Gladiators lining up to wrestle him. The beating on Vanity is so savage that even the ref tries to get Vengeance to cool things down. Vengeance warns him to back off unless he wants to spend the rest of his life sucking up his food through a straw. The ref is struck down later in the match and needs to be replaced. Vengeance made it look like an accident but with his reputation one wonders if it actually was. Vengeance is moving ominously up the IP rankings list. As for Vanity he will be hoping the Gladiators are now finished with him and that for his own sake he has learned his lesson
Darkos defeated Terak after delivering a Darkos Death Kick followed by a Super Piledriver. Terak picks up some tips from Vyper. He is also picking up on the fact Darkos seems to have a slight confidence problem at present (he fluffed his lines at a media awards show last week after thinking a snake slithered across the stage). Darkos is enraged by the jibes and warns Terak that Vyper will turn on him too by stating “you can never trust a snake”. With Darkos appearing agitated and also bothered by the strange creature at ringside being on the move Terak tries to take advantage. He instantly jumps onto the top of the turnbuckle and flies at Darkos. It’s the wrong move as Darkos was just putting on an act. Terak misses and is hurt early on. He never gets close to Darkos after that and ends up gifting him the match by not concentrating (the restlessness of his ringside pet the cause for it) and walking right into some of Darkos’s most dangerous moves. It’s one thing beating a veteran manager like Terak but will Darkos now be brave enough to step into the ring with Vyper?
Draconian Sheik beat Defender of the Realm by DQ. Short match in which Defender loses control and tries to start a war with Cannibal who is managing Drac from ringside. He is quickly overpowered by both Cannibal and Drac and it suddenly dawns on Defender he is now very vulnerable. Murderer’s Row take advantage of his loner status as Death’s Head and Cycle Hog show up from the shadows and they all pile into the ring to try and deliver a malicious beatdown. Exo-King sees it all backstage and tries to ignore it at first but in the end the emotion gets to him and he makes a run in. It doesn’t bear thinking what could of happened as Defender was tied in the ropes with Cannibal poised to attack him with a sharpened bone. Cycle Hog who was too busy guzzling a drink that he’d pinched out of a fan’s hand gets bowled over first. Then Death’s Head gets knocked out of the ring before Exo-King gets to Cannibal and sends him scurrying by swinging his sceptre at him. Draconian Sheik goes missing during the carnage and is later found in the gift shop creating a mess by attacking wrestling dolls and frightening off paying customers in the process. With Murderer’s Row cleared from the ring Exo-King frees Defender from the ropes before leaving the scene himself. Despite the save Exo-King is in no mood to be friendly towards him
Titan Wrestling defeated the Henchmen after Ursa Major pinned Marcel de Sade. Dreadnaught and Lord Nexus have held a mutual dislike in an underdeveloped feud that has spanned several years now. They have had more prominent feuds to deal with and even been on the same hero side but it’s always been there. No real back story but some people just don’t like each other. Lord Nexus always tries to see the good in other beings but has never really trusted Dreadnaught. Of course the nobility of Lord Nexus is not a trait Dreadnaught likes either. Throw in Marcel de Sade who has feuded with Lord Nexus and the Titans in the past (as Whiplash) and we actually have an undercard match that means quite a bit and could shape up into a decent little feud. All this manifests itself in a cracking match and hopefully more will get booked. Lord Nexus and Dreadnaught in particular have a good battle with TITAN DROP and GUIDED MISSILE (twice) being used unsuccessfully. However it’s Ursa Major who steals the show as he flattens Marcel de Sade with a cross body block. Marcel de Sade is not happy when he recovers his senses and wants to go again but Dreadnaught tugs him back and says they will get them next time. Good times for the Fighting Titans as this win follows closely on the back of the team’s remarkable Battlezone victory over the Brotherhood
Trainer Jim defeats Pollux with a Titan Drop. A reporter describes the upcoming match as a battle between jobbers which rattles Pollux’s cage. So much so that he puts the poor chap in a headlock and later cops a GWF fine for his actions. Pollux is now determined to show what he can do. He tears into Jim and even dumps a trash can right on his head but he is just too weak be a serious competitor in the ring. Trainer Jim may lack wrestling skills but he has Titan spirit (hey, that’s a good name for a tag team, maybe I’ll use that some day) and picks up a rewarding win.
