Gotta love it when Mutant can go nuts in a main event.

Card 858 – VIRGIN’S DIAMOND TOUR – Arcturus Parthenon:
IP champ, Dark Justice, canters to victory over Killer Queen. Even though he would not be facing US. Patriot this time Justice cannot resist a dig and bragged “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I kept on beating Adam but he kept coming back. I hereby declare my old partner insane. But now I will focus on beating yet another madman”. Queenie didn’t like being called mad and prefers phrases like glamorous and peculiar to be more associated with him. However he looked happy to have the crowd back on his side (only for a short while it turns out). He was given heel treatment last time out. But he is no match for Dark Justice. That’s immediately obvious and with barely a minute on the clock a Judicial Forearm ends his unlikely challenge. Justice is fast becoming one of the more successful IP champions in history. He also is deservedly being recognised as the top guy on the Stormtroopers in 2104 outshining the underperforming Chaos and Heracles. It’s funny how fickle the crowds can be too. Queenie goes from being painted as a heel to face and then heel again in the space of 2 cards. Frustrated by his weak challenge sections of the crowd get on his back for depriving US. Patriot of his chance to challenge. They would of got a much better match had Queenie not stuck his nose into the title picture where it wasn’t wanted. No Fear are outstanding in beating Lords of Fire. No Fear working themselves to the bone in this final furlong. Lords of Fire have a title shot coming and Thantos is hoping that will prove a distraction to them. However it’s Maleph proving to be the most distracting entity. That thing is hard to ignore. But Thantos does his best to keep Maleph quiet and his boys in the ring do not let him down. Rarely letting Lords of Fire get any momentum. Bishop Hell has tokens galore but evades being beaten himself. That dubious honour goes to Blazing Skull who cannot cope with Archon’s style and surrenders to CROSS KNEE RACK. What Archon hadn’t seen was as Blazing Skull was whipped into the ropes for the last time Thantos was ready to throw some of Pulsar’s acidic powder in his face. This is what made then finishing Blazing Skull off so easy (snake eyes roll). Archon had been busy reacting to insults from Bishop Hell on the apron which is why he didn’t see it and the referee was over there too trying diffuse it. There were some dirty looks all round afterwards but Archon remained oblivious to what Pulsar and Thantos pulled. Just as well because he may not of been too happy. Of course the Lords of Fire weren’t amused and both Bishop Hell and Maleph tried to attack Archon as punishment. But that just brought Thantos and Pulsar back into the ring and with the man advantage No Fear beat them off. Time maybe running out on this classic feud but after that brawl and outcome another match will be on the cards very soon. The GWF wants to squeeze every last drop out of this feud as won’t see the likes of these matches again.
Ninja Assassins win a great match over Titan Fury. Wild, wild, wild. Another setback for the Titans. They do everything they can to win including DAY OF THE DRAGON and their singles finishers against both Ninjas. A combination of brilliant interferences and dramatic kick outs stop them winning. Not to mention all the sneaky switches that Darkos helped to orchestrate. That’s not to say it was all about the Titans. The Ninja Assassins dealt some very potent offense themselves and I lost track of how many times Hydrax used DEATH POINT STRIKE unsuccessfully. The token count across the two teams was 13 by the end. Plus the fact it was a major feud match pushed this into 4* territory. However I enjoyed the seesaw nature of the battle of the match so much that I am upgrading it to 5*. When Dragonmaster was on the end of Assassin Drop and had to pull off a kickout I had a feeling things were going to go the way of the Ninja Assassins. He was now holding 3 tokens. The next move comes up as DOUBLE EDGE SWORD and it looks over. No pin saves to call on and Lord Nexus not about to break his nobility by interfering and lowering his level to that of Darkos. The crowd bites their nails hoping for some kind of recovery but it is not to be and Dragonmaster is pinned. Means another good month for the Masked Assassins as they continue clawing back at what had been an unassailable margin. Can the Assassins really do this?
Heracles too strong for Talisman. Any matches between the Champions and Stormtroopers are largely academic now but that’s not going to mean they won’t continue being booked til now and end of the year. Slow stuff to begin with very little happening at first. Crowd response resembles a wake. Not helped by the fact there is not much riding on it. But all it takes is one pin fall attempt to awaken Heracles who now has a real energy boost. Starts really dishing out the power moves. Even Talisman livens up and we are treated to several out of ring brawls which both have success in equal measure. Dramatic turning point comes when Anaxis places a bunch of grapes into the ring as Talisman is running the ropes. He slips on them and turns his ankle. Heracles instantly sets him and starts battering him with OLYMPIA. Talisman unable to get out of the way and stage any fightback now. Still kicks out of a few but then Heracles places a Grecian Sleeper Grip to really weaken him and then piles into him with one more. There is no coming back from that. It’s still a long shot but that’s 2 points on the board for the Stormtroopers to hand some respectability. Jack of Diamonds beats Mad Jester by DQ. The build up becomes about Exo-King who continues to overshadow the feud after his health issues. He thanks everyone for all the messages of support but now feels fighting fit and urges everyone to stop talking about him and get attention back on the ring action. Games as usual from Jester. Even before the bout Jack is looking into a mirror applying some modest face paint whilst his father gives him a pep talk. He could of sworn he saw Jester in the mirror behind him but when he turns there is nothing there. The next sighting is actually in the ring where he is supposed to be but Jack looks a little wary and spooked. Probably explains his lethargy. Although Jack somehow comes out with the win even though he was victim to A DEAD MAN’S VERSE twice. First time Exo-King manages to break up the pin and second time the ref decides to call the DQ. Jack leads the feud. Looks well set but must not become complacent and lose. Otherwise his desire to fulfil his role as heir to his father’s throne and become a GWF legend will be in jeopardy. No doubt the fans are well behind him but a good many of them will be glad to see the back of this feud after this year. Too much psychological stuff and silliness rather than actual wrestling.
Reports in the aftermath that there was a post match altercation between Jack and Jester. Once again Jack was in front of the mirror checking some cuts on his face. He saw the image of Jester appear but thought it was another illusion and tried to ignore. Unfortunately the apparition was very real. Jester let out a cackle and grabbed Jack’s head before smashing it into the mirror. By the time Exo-King reached the scene all he found was Jack on the floor with blood pouring from a head wound. He can hear distant laughing from the Jester. Jack is immediately taken for treatment and a deep wound is stitched up. Jack injured for 2 cards as a result.
Kati beats Holocaust by DQ. Rematch. Kati had been moving up the card with this feud but of course he has now got himself into trouble with both the GWF and CPC. So any good progress he had made was undone. The CPC spat got resolved off camera so all he has is this feud to show the GWF he is worth pushing. Although he wins it doesn’t really strengthen his case to be pushed. Some early grappling but things slowly creeping Holocaust’s way. Holocaust wins the power battle and Kati is dumped like a rag doll over the top rope. Johnny Rocket showing his contempt for Kati takes the opportunity to bring his microphone down on the back of his head. Kati’s hard head means the blow barely registers but when he manages to get himself up and grabs Johnny Rocket by the throat it is all downhill. Holocaust comes up behind and hoists Kati up for a belly-to-back suplex straight into a ringside table. It breaks on impact and Kati is left in a heap. Johnny Rocket straightens his collar and walks away with Holocaust laughing. The DQ win awarded to Kati of small consolation. Holocaust is satisfied as the manner in which he mauled Kati here has got some of his menace back.

Card 859 – VIRGIN’S DIAMOND TOUR – Spica Pyramid:
Janus pinned the Matador to claim ownership of the CPC belt. However the belt is quickly returned to the Matador as a loophole keeps it on him. More on that below. As for the match itself it was the gripping battle everyone would of expected. The talent both possess meant it couldn’t of been anything else. Janus starting very spritely and looking good but then the Matador surges back. Putting together an awesome run of level 3 moves. Janus cannot deal with it and when BULLWHIP comes his way the outcome looks decided. However he musters a kickout. The Matador is unperturbed. Calmly picks Janus up and delivers it again. Incredibly this time Janus manages to dangle a foot on the nearby rope to break the pin. No problem thinks the Matador. Just gets up and unleashes it again. No chance of surviving that. Janus needs to roll 10 or above to survive. Amazingly an 11 comes up so it means Janus manages to lift a shoulder. Maybe the Matador’s cover was too casual. Instead of trying it a fourth time the Matador decides to look to some other moves. A deathjump hits the mark and a head cracker after this leaves Janus looking like he barely knows the time of day. However when the Matador then lines up a turnbuckle charge he moves. Perhaps Janus was playing possum. Or maybe an instinctive move. Either way the Matador disastrously hits turnbuckle and his momentum is such that his head hits the post. He is momentarily knocked out. Janus drags himself over to cover and the match is won. Dramatic stuff. He is barely able to clutch the CPC belt as it is handed over. Tellingly Reynard B. Guile, who watched the whole match from ringside, runs off as fast as possible. His voice is picked up by the TV cameras as he says “out of my way. I’ve got to make a phone call”.
SHOCK DEVELOPMENT ... Hours after the show CPC announces from Pelf Palace that Janus broke the current rules by rolling out of the ring during the match. Therefore he should have been disqualified and the belt is returned to the Matador. The media fuss that ensues has no effect on the Matador. Calm, cool and collected sums this guy up perfectly. For the record when the tape of the match is watched back there is a very clear moment when Janus did in fact roll outside under pressure. He then gained an advantage by dragging Matador out with him and planting him towards a post. Later in the match the Matador had a similar opportunity to bail out but chose not to. But it doesn’t excuse what the CPC has pulled. They are changing the traditional rules of wrestling. Supernova downs the aggressive Amazonia to regain the Ladies belt. The ladies roster needs to get a bit deeper as the title matches start to get repetitive. A third party posts some lurid pics online of Supernova. Probably photo shopped but injects much needed heat into the match. Prime suspect is Anaxis who is sulking after failing to nick away Supernova’s title shot. The fun loving Supernova makes light of the situation and posts an Spacebook “I wish I really did look as good as that”. Amazonia isn’t in the mood for any jokes about it. She’s as serious as they come. It’s been alluded to before that she harbours a jealousy towards Supernova over all her success. Whilst Amazonia doesn’t want to rock the boat and says there is a mutual respect it is clear there is no love lost. Anyway Amazonia sees this as her chance to build a long reign of her own and cement her place as the greatest ladies fighter in GWF history. She takes Supernova on from the get go with raw aggression and there are even questionable moves like hair pulls and eye pokes creeping into her arsenal. Much like Wolf she is walking the tightrope between hero and villain. Supernova’s renowned ability to hang on in matches is tested to the hilt. Amazonia ferociously pummels her and comes so close to seeing off the challenge after AMAZON ATTACK. Amazingly this is the catalyst that brings Supernova back into it. After rolling outside she gets the upper hand in a brawl and when back in the ring really turns on the style. All building up to the big finish with SPEED OF LIGHT. Supernova regains the title. For a moment it looked as if rage might consume Amazonia and she would smash Supernova with her shield. Perhaps realising the ramifications could be huge in doing this just about keeps her temper in check. Throws out her shield and then rolls out of the ring leaving the stage to Supernova. Pausing on her departure to shoot a couple of looks back as if to say “I’ll be back for that title soon”. Mayhem and Thunder end up brawling to a double DQ. Word on the street is Mayhem is on borrowed time. Malice has well and truly beaten him in the feud this year. Is he p*ssed about this? You better believe it. He looks like a tattooed beast bearing new messages about breaking bones, death and destruction. Best to give Mayhem a wide berth when he’s like this or he’ll bite your head off or perhaps worse. For anyone to step in the ring with him now is borderline suicidal but Thunder has supreme confidence ever since his cleansing. He believes he is more than a tag specialist and can beat anyone. He even refuses to have Thrash accompanying as that would be a sign of weakness. The match is typically wild. Mayhem steaming in with crazed aggression. Thunder standing his ground and fighting fire with fire. It is a surprise it stays in the ring as long as it did. Thunder is the instigator as he rolls out there on defence. No way Mayhem wasn’t going to follow. As Mayhem moves around the ring he grabs a hold of his chain on route. Thunder sees this and picks up an entire table to shield from the swinging of the chain. Officials rush off in all directions as the two men cancel each other out. The potential to escalate is huge as Overkill then appears at the end of the runway to observe. But Thunder is handling himself just fine and pushes Mayhem back with the table. With neither prepared to back off the GWF needs to somehow restore order. Gasps as Massif walks straight past Overkill to come and sort things out. The huge Gladiator does nothing to stop him. Massif arrives on the scene and takes a great risk by putting himself between the two. Out of respect for his bravery Thunder actually backs down. Mayhem isn’t so willing but he is outnumbered and now knows Overkill is nearby. To continue this, even for him, would be madness. It almost gets missed the quivering voice of the announcer letting everyone know that the ref has disqualified both men. Surely there has to be a rematch. Could this be building to a big blow off at the last show of the year FINAL BATTLE where Thunder can prove his singles credentials on a big stage? Vyper blows Mesmer away. Tempestuous build up to this. Vyper seeking revenge for Mesmer causing him to have a temporary snake phobia. Signs the match not only to get back on the winning trail but also to try and trap Mesmer and bring him into the custody of Phantast. Does the first part perfectly. All over Mesmer and taking barely a couple minutes to win via VYPER’S SIDESHOW. However Mesmer slips away too quickly for anything else to happen. Probably a cheap illusion but he seemed to just vanish into thin air. Vyper looks disappointed but to show his fears are fully conquered he gets back to indulging in his favourite hobby. Parades around the ring with his snakes slithering over his body. Mesmer may of gotten away but at least Vyper’s mojo is back.
X-Termination wins a dull match over Genesis Prime by DQ. Barely anything to report as neither team gets into the swing of it. Wraith tried to pin Grunge but dallied and it was a quick kick out. That’s the only thing of note until the DQ ending. Vertigo chasing Grunge outside the ring and uncharacteristically pushing him towards the post. Johnny Rocket got in the ref’s ear over the actions and managed to influence him. Vault of Horror beats Terak and the Creeper by DQ. Savage Kingdom’s healthy lead has been whittled away somewhat. They are still heavily favoured to see the feud out but another loss here would leave the door slightly ajar. And that’s exactly what happens as they stumble to a DQ loss. The Creeper is the culprit for going nuts outside the ring. Terak struggled to control it. In the end Mollock had to clamp a bear hug on the Creeper. When it couldn’t struggle free it began to calm down.

Card 860 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS – Spica Pyramid: (THE GAUNTLET … FEATURING REYNARD B. GUILE … Short and sweet. Basically B. Guile getting under everyone’s skin as per usual. Highlights as follows … Crowd heckles Reynard B. Guile as he comes out. Briefly he pauses to remove his top hat and then bow to them as if he is loved. Qualitar: “Popular as ever I see Reynard. Don’t think the fans are too keen on the CPC” … Reynard B. Guile: “Poppycock, they love it. Anyway play your cards right and the CPC might invite you to become their main media man. That’s if you can bare to break up your ridiculous double act with Johnny Rocket. But I cannot see why anyone would not want to be part of our big plan” ... Qualitar: "Don’t ever put me in a bracket with that con artist. Anyway what on earth are these big plans you keep mentioning?" ... Reynard B. Guile: "You will soon see. Oh their gonna be so big. I always knew the CPC would be the greatest ever. Oh thank you Mr. Colby, thank you Ms. Pelf. Thank you for making me a part of the CPC. The DEIMOS PERENNIAL in 2105 will be a major turning point for the GWF when none of our wrestlers compete. You’ll see. Oh thank you, thank you. Long live the CPC!" ... Qualitar: "What are you talking about?” … Reynard B. Guile: “That would be telling. All will be revealed in good time. People who think title matches like tonight pitting Raven against Pegasus are big events. Well that’s nothing compared to the CPC” … Qualitar: “For god’s sake man. Why can’t you give straight answers instead of playing this stupid guessing game. Sheesh, I can't get a great deal of sense out of you. Then again whoever can. I think it's time to call it quits." ... Reynard B. Guile: "What did you say you freak faced reporter. Hey come back I'm not finished yet”. To the delight of the whole crowd packed into the Spica Pyramid, B. Guile slips over as he tries to chase Qualitar bending his top hat in the process. Some Vice-President of Operations the CPC have got there. Anyway in the aftermath it’s become clear that B. Guile has kind of blown the CPC preparations for next year. Some huge shake up is obviously on the way but nobody is entirely sure what it still means and how it’ll affect the GWF. Some kind of boycott perhaps? Qualitar vows to start researching this as soon as tonight’s show is over) Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, comes through against Raven. The GWF wasn’t keen on booking a hero against hero title match so soon after the last one. Wanting them to be special occasions but Raven’s win at SUDDEN DEATH SHOWDOWN meant he could not be denied. Their last meeting had been disappointing but with both guys vowing this time to keep the action clean and inside the ring a much better contest was on the cards. Only problem is their enemies are circling like vultures. Holocaust wants to be part of the title picture and trying to recover from a wretched run. He has said he intends to play a part in the match. Whilst Chaos is trying to strengthen his own position in the wake of his team’s miserable SUDDEN DEATH failure. He has also indicated that he might show to ruin the match if he is not guaranteed a title shot at the winner. So amid all that the two guys in the ring needing to keep their eyes on more than just each other. Raven starts strong and has the champ on the ropes in the early minutes. Managing to work an opening for BROADSWORD. But it’s probably too early and Pegasus produces a powerful kick out. It’s a warning shot that Pegasus needs to up his game and he responds. A double clothesline collision leaves him in the better shape and Pegasus gets in the ascendancy. When Pegasus goes to the top for a deathjump Omega looks uncomfortable. He knows the risks involved in such a move and it always gives him palpitations. Even when Star Warrior, who has mastered top rope leaps, does it he gets the same feelings. Anyway I digress Pegasus manages to execute safely and moves towards likely victory with PROJECT PEGASUS. Raven survives barely. Pegasus shows a look of annoyance but goes for it again. Raven somehow resists for a second time. Once upon time Pegasus may of gotten too frustrated and lost composure at such events but his maturity as a wrestler and a hero is almost at a peak. He takes a breath and changes tact. A flurry of level 3 moves continues and he then hoists Raven into a Pegasus Press Slam. The speculative cover that follows succeeds and the threat of Raven extinguished. Now it gets more interesting. All the concerns were on Holocaust or Chaos rumbling the match but instead it’s Splatter. A lottery attack unfolds. Both Omega and Destructon 3000 are knocked down so they cannot help Pegasus. Even something with the power of Destructon 3000 cannot do anything about being clubbed in the back of the head. Raven could possibly of helped but is too hurt from the match to be a threat to Splatter. What occurs is a vicious bloody battering necessitating Pegasus being removed on a stretcher whilst clutching his belt tightly to his chest. Fans are silenced into shock. Speculation that this may not of been a random attack and that Chaos had reached an agreement with the Hitmen.
The attack Pegasus suffered dominates the news. He picks a lengthy 7 card injury but to fulfil his mandatory requirements as champ will be forced to wrestle on. Doesn’t look good for him though. Commissioner Grogan doesn’t need this headache but is under pressure to suspend Splatter. He makes a statement the next day promising to deliver a verdict soon (2 cards). Lords of Fire destroy Titan Attack to win the tag belts. Incredible news from the GWF that should the Lords of Fire win the belts tonight then a title match will be booked against No Fear. The prospect of this gets a lot of coverage. Although it seems disrespectful of the Titans who are the sitting champs. Almost as if their as an assumption (hope?) that they’ll lose so this money spinning title match can be setup. Lord Nexus says nothing when asked about his thoughts on this. He is too noble to be drawn in and start accusing. As far as he is concerned the Titans will do their talking in the ring and fate will decide what the next title match will be. The Lords of Fire are big on intimidation. They approach the ring surrounded by hologramatic flames whilst Maleph flies above their heads wailing. The Titans stood in the ring remain unmoved. Lord Nexus instructs them not to watch the circus act and start their last minute warm up routine. Of course that is quickly broken up by Maleph then swooping into the ring with claws sharpened and extended. As the Titans bat him off the Lords of Fire rush into ring and lay into them for an immediate upper hand. Nobody quite saw what happened to Lord Nexus amid all this but he is down and hurt holding his face. This is not the start the Titans wanted. They had their guards up but still got decimated. Scion Nexus becomes the first focus. The Lords of Fire really rough him up and almost get the pin against him with barely a minute on the clock. A suplex outside the ring by Blazing Skull does lots of damage. He just about stays alive in the match but it looks very ominous. Somehow after a few minutes of being relentlessly preyed upon he makes a hot tag. Hope that Ursa Major can steady the ship quickly fade. A similar pattern of assault occurs and after a vicious rake by Bishop Hell he goes down. Scion Nexus tries the pin save but the ref stops him doing so. As Scion is escorted back to the apron the Lords of Fire double team Ursa Major. Bishop Hell holding him up so Blazing Skull can smash him in the face with an undisclosed object. Poor Ursa’s legs are like a baby giraffe’s. Stumbling around uncontrollably before eventually falling. Bishop Hell covers again and the titles switch hands. Mega disappointment for Lord Nexus as he comes around just in time to see this happen. The jubilant Lords of Fire create a fiery scene of chaos to celebrate their victory. So guess this now means the big battle against No Fear steps up a notch as the tag belts now come into the picture.
Coat of Arms go over Superiority Complex in a Titan Death match. Things may be going rotten for Commando Sam but Superiority Complex should be spared banishment. They still aim to rule the tag division again and want to beat their main rivals. As Skinhead said in his promo “there’s life after SUDDEN DEATH and we don’t care about who gets banished. It won’t be us because we are the greatest tag team in history”. By the same token Coat of Arms are just as hungry. So this is more than a dead rubber match. It’s about climbing the tag ladder and chasing a title shot. There is also the small matter of Prodigy describing their sister, Supernova, as a slut in a recent interview after some of the women of the GWF posed for a merchandising calendar in tasteful bathing suits. Sadly some prankster did a photoshop and caused Supernova some embarrassment. So plenty of reasons to make this a heated confrontation. That very much in evidence as things begin. It’s a 4 way brawl to start as Prodigy continued his insults “where’s that slut sister of yours?”. Even for guys as usually calm and noble as Star Warrior and Alpha Force it’s tough to stay in control. So a brawling start. After a couple minutes things finally settle into something resembling a wrestling match. It’s clear that Coat of Arms are on one of their good nights. They look slicker and quicker but of course Superiority Complex are masters of defensive tags and able to keep disrupting the rhythm. But with their own offensive misfiring they can only hold Coat of Arms at bay for so long. Prodigy starts to really struggle and can’t get out. Skinhead attempts to assist him goes wrong and he cops a flying crossbody from Star Warrior which has such forward momentum that they both end up almost barrel rolling out of the ring. Skinhead coming off far worse out of that. Back in the ring Prodigy is wobbling and Alpha Force begins a match finishing sequence, TOMAHAWK THRUST a couple of times to set things up and then comes the tag. The crowd noise rises as Star Warrior gives them a thumbs up and speedily climbs to the top turnbuckle. ENDGAME is flawlessly executed and Prodigy is toast. A brilliant win for Coat of Arms and yet more misery for the Stormtroopers.
Death’s Head crushed Draconian Sheik in a Titan Death match. The Terrorist attack on Death’s Head is still fresh in the memories of all who saw it. How Death’s Head didn’t suffer greater injury is mind boggling. Means this has become a huge battle. The Titan Death stipulation prevents the Terrorists being at ringside but would that still stop them? They are determined to make the lives of Cannibal and the rest of the Murderer’s Row team members a living hell. If they were planning to ambush things then they needed to do it much quicker. The match over very quickly. Death’s Head had it won with surprising ease. Drac got very little wild offence in and was concussed with FUNERAL MARCH. Death’s Head gives a spooky grin and looks down the runway to the dark abyss just before the curtain. He uses his boney finger to beckon the Terrorists in. As he does this Cannibal and Cycle Hog join him (where did they come from?) with hungry smiles and armed with knives and forks. They wait for a couple of minutes but the Terrorists never show. Just before leaving Cannibal turns around and shoves his fork forcefully into Draconian Sheik. Drac gives a yelp and the runs toward a light now flashing at the end of the runway with the fork still sticking out of his back.
Killer Queen gets a vital win over Vanity. Bit of a controversy as Maxine Babe deserts Vanity at a crucial time. A crimson Vanity admits “she was out with her girlfriends last night and it got too wild. Maxine can’t handle her drink and now she is having a duvet day”. Although the reality is rumoured to be that Vanity had struck her after observing footage of her bottom being pinched and didn’t want people seeing the black eye it had caused. Whatever the situation it hands Queenie an unexpected advantage. He knows Vanity’s offence will be toothless and being unable to use LADIES CHOICE (but boy did he try, the dice landed on it plenty of times). Queenie doesn’t exactly press it home. Finding himself struggling to get the better of the contest and allowing Vanity several kick outs. Considering Vanity’s high starting pin rating that’s not too impressive. However he does eventually get it done with WARP SPEED to get those priceless points. Vanity brushes off the loss. He later brags that although he is on the cusp of being of signed by CPC he would never be banished by the GWF, “after the loss of ticket sales and viewers last time I got banished they wouldn’t risk enforcing it. I am god’s gift to wrestling”.
Blizzard shocks Mandrill with a DQ win. Risky match on paper for Genesis. However the feud required at least one match between these two as part of the rotation. Best get it out the way before the final month even though this was probably handing points on a plate to the Colonizers. Mandrill walks straight up to Blizzard with an arrogant menace. Pointing a finger right into his face and uttering “you are dead meat my friend”. Blizzard cannot control his temper at the best of times so his reaction was immediate. And that was to bite down on the finger in front of him. Mandrill yelps out in pain before issuing another threat “you’ll pay for that”. Indeed he does as Mandrill brutalises him. Under heavy fire Blizzard rolls out of the ring to try and trigger a brawl. Only chance he might have. Mandrill picks him by the wrestling trunks with two hands and throws him into a table. Ram’s attempt to divert the ref’s attention is hopeless. Mandrill loses his rag when realising a DQ has been called. What should of been a couple of easy points are blown but he’s only got himself to blame. No doubt he will take it out on Ram. Mad Jester keeps the feud alive in beating Jack of Diamonds by DQ. Jester out the blocks like a greyhound. Seeking to prey on Jack’s injuries after his violent recent attack on him. Defeat will mean the outcome of this feud is decided. Exo-King deciding the facial trauma Jack suffered is no reason to keep his son wrapped in cotton wool as they now look to kill the feud off. After dealing Jack an early battering Jester reacts to an intrusion by the ref by giving the poor chap a wedgie. The ref would of been well within his rights to call a DQ but decides not to react to hastily. Adjusts his trousers and lets things carry on. He is walking a bit gingerly after that. Jack now starts to get a foothold and perhaps in his eagerness to win and finish the feud off goes a bit crazy himself. The match goes out of the ring where Jack grabs his father’s sceptre and cracks Jester right between the eyes. No way the ref could let that go and it’s all over. The fate of the feud will go into the last month. Scourge survives to beat Dynamo by DQ. After Scourge’s last win this feud is now dead even. Match kind of fell into his lap. Dynamo looked like he meant business with MUSCLE RIPPER and other crippling moves like Dynamo Rib Crusher. However he cannot get the submission, gets frustrated and takes the action outside. The ref gets shoved aside in the process. Scourge gets the lucky win. Dynamo now only just has his nose ahead in the feud. A single point in it.

STARS OF THE GALAXY - VOLUME 10’ released.
Caring for your pet skit with Cannibal. Taking some GWF officials who are concerned for Mutant’s welfare to show them where it is kept. They all walk past a communal area for the team bulging with food and weird artefacts. The other team members are all at a table feasting. Cycle Hogs stomach is gurgling uncontrollably and Death’s Head is throwing stuff around. Looks like a chimps tea party. There is even a dartboard with Draconian Sheik’s face nailed to the wall behind them. Cannibal beckons to the delegates and they all duck under a low door and head into a small dimly lit room. Cannibal proudly exclaims “this is where I keep Mutant. It may not be a mansion but don’t worry. I’m a good owner and he likes it in here. It’s his safe place”. Jaws drop as the rat infested room comes into view. There are also bones and carcasses everywhere. Then the smell hits and the camera man makes a coughing sound and drops the camera. The tilted picture that feeds back just about picks up sight of the cameraman vomiting with the whole Murderer’s Row team standing over him pointing and laughing … Arm wrestling contest in a bar. Powerhouse and Massif renew hostilities. After all the bad publicity this year Massif is trying to make amends. Not clear if this happened spontaneously or was planned. The segment starts just as they lock hands. Massive crowd gathered around with drinks being spilled. They are in deadlock for almost five minutes. Anytime one of them looks to be getting over the other pulls it back. Suddenly one of the punters tried to break a bar stall over Powerhouse’s back. Maybe he’d bet on Massif to win! The contest ends and there is something akin to a bar brawl. There is a puddle of sweat under the seat where Massif was working. He put so much into it. Bizarelly Massif and Powerhouse now work together to fend off the aggressors. Having sorted it all that they exchange an icey glare and then walk off in opposite directions … Lifestyles of the mega wealthy. Centres on Sonora Pelf’s birthday. Magnus Colby worries about what to get the woman who has everything. After all she already has her own Planet Pelf. Having tried and failed to buy the Crown Jewels from the English Monarchs he then strolls into the most expensive jewellers in the Cosmos. It just happens to be owned by him and is called Gemstones. The workers freeze as soon as he walks in, almost cowering with fear. One poor guy is sacked on the spot for nervously coughing. Finally one brave soul tries to advise. Colby is unimpressed with the stock and calls the Hope Diamond cheap tat. It’s multi million valuation of no significance, he would have been taking it for free anyway. He storms out and demands the stock be given an overhaul and jumps panicking into a waiting limo. Later that day Colby makes the news after being reported to have bought yet another planet called Planet Pelf II. Guess fresh ideas are lost on even the most wealthy. Maybe Sonora Pelf will use it as a holiday home ... Mayhem takes leave of his senses and tries to take a trip back to Aethra. He is filmed entering a transporter that will beam him to his location. Looks like a suicide mission. Fast forward a couple of hours and the tape shows Mayhem beaming back in. He is drenched with blood. Not sure if it’s that of his own or other Aethrans. There is evidence across his back of lash marks indicating he may of been punished for subordinance. Mayhem says nothing but perhaps he took his licks to try and forge a way back into Aethran society. Or perhaps not.
Malice continues growing his rep as he defeats Wolf in a Titan Death match. What a way to headline the tape. This could be a sign of many dramatic future matches. Malice has been close to unbeatable in an amazing debut year. But this is no ordinary guy he’s facing here and what’s more Wolf is in the hottest form he’s been in for a long while. Wolf doesn’t respect records or reputations. Just goes in hardcore whenever and wherever. Sometimes in a match like this it is a cagey start and wrestlers start slow and feel each other out. Not these two. Neither waits for their formal entrances and clash in the runway. The first time the crowd sees them is when they burst through the curtains already grappling. The ref orders for the bell to be rung even though they are nowhere near the ring. He even forgets himself and starts laying on a slow count until a tap on the shoulder by the reserve ref reminds him that this is a Titan Death match and more or less anything goes. First blood goes to Malice as he wins the initial brawling contest and drags Wolf into the ring. However his time on top is brief and Wolf reminds him this won’t be a walkover. The intensity remains high and the match barely stays in the ring. As the action spills out for the umpteenth time the annoyed ref tries to get between them and orders them back in. Wolf gives into temptation and savagely tears the shirt off his back with his claws. Draws laughs from the crowd. The red faces official storms off leaving his reserve to take over. Luckily this guy realises there is no controlling these two and stays more hands off. In fact he seems to be enjoying it, he’s got the best view in the house. At one point so engrossed he actually forgets to slide in for a pin count after a Wolf Skullcrusher left Malice seeing stars. Wolf angrily reminds him of his duty by picking him up clean off the floor and shaking him. The fact the kickout was only in the nick of time despite the late count makes you think of what might of been. Malice doesn’t waste his second chance and steps it up a level. Commences a punishing run of offence as if to say ‘nobody does that to me’. It’s even too much for Wolf and soon he is being setup for FIELDS OF MALICE. It isn’t without its risks but at this moment of his career Malice is going for the riskier more potent version every time he gets a chance. The gamble pays off as he connects and this time the reserve ref is much more alert to the situation and obediently slides in to make the 3 count without any hesitation. Another big statement from Malice but for everyone lucky enough to watch it is very clear the animal instinct in Wolf won’t be letting this lie. This could easily become a rivalry to match that of the legendary Wolf-Mayhem one. A new chapter in the rivalry between Wolf and the Gladiators. Coat of Arms and the Stormtroopers get down and dirty in a match that ends double DQ. Tape calls this a ‘Battle of the Golden Oldies’. Not sure if the participants will agree that they are that far gone yet. Coat of Arms have been consistently inconsistent throughout SUDDEN DEATH. But at least they haven’t had a run like the Stormtroopers. Much was expected from them but they have been abysmal. Could they rescue their reputation here? A smash before the bell from Powerhouse sets the tone. Becomes a gripping match and the Stormtroopers for once are looking good. Hammer giving Star Warrior a pretty torrid time. Whilst Powerhouse is also putting his impressive power to good effect. Of course they also resort to questionable heel tactics. Hammer keeps taking something out of his boot for when the action is at close quarters but is concealing it expertly. When Omega calls Hammer out on it from ringside Powerhouse turns on him. Jumps down from the apron with a loud thud grinning, “it’s way past your bedtime old man” and mows him down with a ferocious shoulder blast. Alpha Force sees red and piles in causing things descend into madness. Chairs are either being flung or used as weapons. The ref has no control and rules a no contest. Security wades in and eventually parts the teams. Takes three of them to hold Powerhouse back. The ring eventually clears after several minutes of verbals (mainly coming from the Stormtroopers). Immediate post match concerns are for Omega who was stretchered away but there is very little feedback. Guess no news is good news. Then in a remarkable twist at the end of the tape footage is shown of Commando Sam visiting the medical centre housing Omega and enquiring about his well being. He is swarmed when he leaves about 30 minutes later but plays the ‘no comment’ line.
The Creeper wins against Mutant in a cage. Seems to be becoming a STARS IN THE GALAXY tradition putting these two in the cage. It’s the second time in the last 3 editions. This match is arguably the best one yet. Mutant is ravenous. Brutal animalistic attacks from the moment it is unshackled and released into the cage. The blood that the Creeper soon shows is like a red rag to a bull and incites even more frenzied bursts by Mutant. The Creeper though has all the same unpredictable tendencies. Just about intelligent to know that Mutant is a long time enemy and forcing itself to fight back. Both of them do use their primitive finishers a few times as the fatigue tokens add up. There is even a revolting moment when Mutant seems to bite a chunk out of the Creepers deformed face. Clear that it could either way or in fact go on all night as neither is too adept at finding their way over and out of the cage or aware enough that they can simply walk out of the door. Officials at ringside start trying to help them by opening the door up in the hope it will trigger something. The savage and grisly moves continue and the way it ends is kind of fitting of the match type. The Creeper simply just throwing Mutant face first into the steel sides. What few teeth Mutant had appear to be knocked out by this. Maybe some hardcore fan will get hold of those as a memento. With Mutant now so badly hurt that it curls up into a foetal position in a corner of the cage whimpering it is time to end the match. A brave official enters the cage to get the Creeper’s attention so that it then follows him through the door and towards victory.
X-Termination gun down the Mercenaries with a DQ win. Both teams shooting for the top again having fallen away in recent months. Eyes drawn towards Johnny Rocket and whether he would quieten down when in such close proximity to Krakan. The huge gun being held certainly a deterrent. There is always uncertainty as to whether it is loaded. Krakan bragged in the pre match promo that it is also capable of firing off stun beams that can cause temporary paralysis. His warning to Johnny is “don’t make me have to use this”. So against that backdrop the match start. Johnny is maybe slightly more subdued than usual but his mood has no effect on Grunge and Sleeze. They pull all their normal heinous stunts and show little respect for Krakan’s threats. Indeed Krakan is fired up and frustrated as he watches his team struggle to dominate. There were two near misses as Soldier of Fortune gets taken to the HEADBANGER’S BALL. Both Krakan and Vigilante instrumental in stopping things going any further. Given a second chance the Mercenaries manage to get some heavy hits in on Grunge and unleash OPERATION: AMBUSH. But they get some of their own medicine as Sleeze storms in with a pin save. I guess a DQ finish was inevitable after all these incidents. The Mercenaries are the ones penalised as Vigilante follows Grunge outside the ring. He assaults not only Grunge but also the referee to draw the bell. The Mercenaries refuse to accept the decision and put their arms up in victory. The fact Grunge has been left semi conscious by that final attack makes them think they won this war. Of course Johnny Rocket knows that isn’t the case. Exclusively for the tape he and his team record a post match interview where he brags “we won the match by outsmarting them. I knew all along that the Mercenaries would throw out the rule book and cause their own downfall”.
Chaos struggles to a win over Jack of Diamonds via DQ. Looking beyond SUDDEN DEATH Jack wants to become a singles star. Matches against the elite are what he craves. On paper a match against Chaos might be suicidal but Jack wants to test himself. He took this on with his father’s blessing. Firmly believing he could trouble the big man. Jack makes an astonishing start. Stunning Chaos with an atomic skullcrusher within 2 moves and going for a pin. Could the unthinkable be about to happen? Sadly it was a false dawn. Chaos kicked out powerfully and then Jack spurned a deathjump chance and rolled up instead. Unfortunately it’s an ‘into the turnbuckle’ move next and he runs straight into a raised knee. He played the wrong card there. Chaos takes over and seeks to punish Jack for trying to make him look bad. Starts pulverising Jack. When BOW OF DEFEAT gets clamped the expectation that it will be relentlessly applied sets in. However Jack does well to force a release. Although his arms were very restrained it looked like he managed to reach back and grab Chaos in the unmentionables. Chaos doesn’t look comfortable and angrily hurls Jack out of the ring so he can catch breath after that. Perhaps knowing that such a move has merely awakened the beast Jack picks up an object from the announcer’s table. Chaos comes at him and grabs a one-handed choke right in front of the fans. With the threat of having his larynx crushed Jack uses the object against Chaos which unfortunately has the consequences of losing him the match by DQ. It was either that or suffer serious injury.
Cassandra makes a comeback to beat Ms. Liberty. Both ladies very frisky in what was an entertaining match. Cassandra does her chances of a title shot no harm with a win. Rides out a rough period in which THE LIBERATOR was used against her twice in succession. Takes over and wins via WHIPS AND CHAINS.
Enigma untroubled against Karah. Efficient rather than spectacular from Enigma. Karah barely lands a glove. Took a while to work the position but Enigma finally ends it with FEET OF FURY. Although both managers were at ringside it was actually a breath of fresh air that they stayed relatively quiet and just let the guys in the ring get on with it.
Blizzard beats Cannibal in a Titan Death match. A last minute request to book it as Titan Death brings no objections. Probably not the wisest choice for Blizzard. It becomes just Cannibal’s sort of match as he free to use THROAT SLIT without ramifications. Of course that happens but Blizzard refuses to buckle. The 4 tokens accumulated not weighting him down. Them draws on his inner rage to surge back and beats Cannibal with FROSTBITE at the third time of asking. Surprisingly great match.

GWF REPORT (SUDDEN DEATH 2104 CARDS 857 - 860)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Pegasus (Top Contender: Death’s Head) * GWF Tag Champs: Lords of Fire (Top Contenders: No Fear) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Dark Justice (Top Contender: Talisman) * GWF Ladies Champ: Supernova (Top Contender: Anaxis) * CPC Heavyweight Champ: Matador of M83 (Top Contender: n/a)
Latest News:
The horror attack on Pegasus after winning the lottery sent shockwaves through the GWF. The champ is badly injured but being forced to carry on otherwise he will lose his belt. There is also still work to be done in the feud with the Stormtroopers. Splatter may of been the attacker but everyone thinks Chaos was behind it. Suspension for Splatter is inevitable but won’t be announced for a couple of cards. Omega has already commented on behalf of Pegasus by stating “what happened was despicable but we will not waste our energy and resources going after Splatter. He is a loose cannon but on this occasion may of been puppeteered. Our focus remains entirely on the Stormtroopers”. Incredibly Death’s Head will face the injured champ for the belt after a brilliant run of wins. Normally Death’s Head’s name isn’t mentioned in the same breath as championship belts and even if he is then he’d be considered more of an IP belt level wrestler. However the stats don’t lie and the chance to go for it is well earned. If the ghoulish Death’s Head pulls it off will go down as one of the most unlikely champions ever. Of course Chaos fumes when he learns of the snub. He still maintains that he has a god given right to demand a title shot at more or less anytime he pleases.
Some factions within the GWF hierarchy are calling for Blazing Skull and Maleph to be banished too if the Lords of Fire lose their feud with No Fear. The thought of Brymstone getting a foothold in the fed is making people nervous. This is a chance to kill them off before it’s too late. The fact they managed to capture the tag belts last month is daunting. Everyone hopes No Fear can make their reign a very brief one and at the same time win the feud. Also in the news is Johnny Rocket getting an inside scoop and overheard talking to one of his shady contacts “can you keep a secret? I heard the Commissioner is planning to penalise the Lords of Fire 10 points due to their excessive violence and terrorisation of the fans”. So perhaps the Lords of Fire is doomed to lose no matter what. Commando Sam continues to behave erratically. He is doing heroic and villainous acts in equal measure. The latest incidents being visiting an injured Omega at a medical centre (buy the STARS OF THE GALAXY digital download to find out more). Then there was his attendance at an autograph signing session. He was happy to meet with fans and be pictured but when a reporter got in his face about his team’s demise then lost it. Ended up destroying part of the store in which the signing session was taking place. Then realisation sets in and he is horrified with himself. Immediately pays for the damage, helps clean up and makes a sizeable charitable donation. Odd stuff. The pressure cooker environment of the GWF might just be getting to him Nothing new in reporting the relationship between Mayhem and Krakan is damaged beyond repair. However Mayhem tries to jump the sinking ship early by claiming “I won’t let that team drag me down with them”. The GWF (or more specifically Grogan) blocks the move. He must see out the year as part of their roster. There will be at least one more match for him as part of the Hitmen as there is a planned cage match against Thunder to come. This comes after they had a wild double DQ against each other. It was also a match that showed Massif is winning everyone over again. He intercepted and may well of broken free of Mesmer’s shackles. Although some wrestlers still don’t trust him and are still refusing to let him officiate their matches. More dirty tricks from the Rocketmen to try and get a final edge over WAR. Brainstorm threatens a ransomware attack. Alledges his genius has gained access to the source code embedded in Destructon 3000’s mind and will turn the manager against his own team if Eagle is not booked in key matches in the final few cards. His threat goes unanswered. The CPC circus continues. Whatever the plan is, it will be upon us very soon. Still no straight answers from Reynard B. Guile who is acting like an excited kid. They are also in the news after a loophole created controversy regarding their created belt. Meant that the Matador didn’t lose it despite being pinned clean. Colby and Pelf cop plenty of flak but seem to be above the law as Commissioner Grogan says nothing about it in his weekly press updates. Janus was more than just a little upset but when a large cash deposit was made to his bank balance he quickly quietened down. The future of this belt is very much up for debate. The only guy outside of the CPC roster to of held it is Pulsar. Many fans dislike it and think it should be abolished. Interestingly next month there is no match scheduled to take place for the belt. Could mean anything. There is also the CPC auditions theme going on. A few have been trying out either on the big stage or more clandestine. Any wrestler worth his salt has steered well clear. Some of the existing members are also been re-assessed and will be graded with proposed salary brackets for A, B, C wrestlers. With possible salary cuts incoming there could be plenty of fireworks. It’s almost become an annual question. Where will Wolf end up next year? He is hedging his bets. Hasn’t specifically blown Genesis off yet. No point asking him about it as all he is doing is howling into cameras and telling people “Santa Wolf is coming!”
The final month will not be short on action as two big events are coming. First up is TEAM SUPREME. It took a lot of persuading but Omega has convinced Pegasus to give it a miss ahead of his title defences and rest up his injuries. With US. Patriot also out it gives a big chance for Talisman to lead the Champions team. Something he would not of been expecting. Interestingly Sam’s name has been dropped and his old team is just being entered as the Stormtroopers. Team CPC was given a spot ahead of the Hitmen but declined entry. Genesis will field their team minus Wolf. They are preparing for the possibility of life without him and prefer to go with the core members. Not that Wolf will not be a part of the whole event as he will take part in a special bonus match. Details unknown but it promises to be huge and unique. Anyway the draw has been made and pairs feuding teams against each other in two of the matches. It is as follows ... THE GLADIATORS-HITMEN … WAR-ROCKETMEN … GENESIS-STORMTROOPERS … THE CHAMPIONS-COLONIZERS
Then the final card of the year has been given the pay per view treatment and is called FINAL BATTLE. Belts will be on the back burner as this all about the feuds. Some of the closest team battles will be decided there. It is unprecedented that so many of them are still only split by a solitary point. Matches will be booked right at last minute for maximum impact. INJURED – US. Patriot (2), Pegasus (7); SUSPENDED – none SUDDEN DEATH STANDINGS:
Champions-Sam’s Stormtroopers 138-122 Genesis and Wolf-Colonizers of Scorpi 64-65 Gladiators-Hitmen 80-30 No Fear-Lords of Fire 30-35 WAR-Rocketmen 50-49 Fighting Titans-Masked Assassins 52-44 Savage Kingdom-Murderer’s Row 42-34 Jack of Diamonds-Mad Jester 16-13 Vanity-Killer Queen 8-8 Dynamo-Scourge 8-7
No Fear is struggling to keep heads above water. The last thing they needed was the Lords of Fire securing the tag titles. Thantos publicly exudes confidence but behind the scenes is worried. He doesn’t want his first big managerial assignment to end in failure … Chink of light for the Masked Assassins. Who could of thought they’d be able to get to within striking distance a year ago. They have just enough matches booked to do it. The Titans need to guard against complacency … Everything copacetic on the WAR team. It’s been a while since things were like that. Of course it’s tight but they have their noses in front and Mace publicly vows to knuckle down and give everything in the final furlong … The Jack-Jester feud is all but over. Exo-King is already smoking victory cigars. Although given his recent health problems that’s ill advised … Pencils being sharpened ready to write about the reasons why Commando Sam failed. Chaos expresses no sorrow for the team’s imminent defeat. He has already passed the buck blaming Sam for being a bad manager and just sticking duct tape over the internal problems. He was also too obsessed with military tactics rather than actual wrestling. Sam has his own parting shot “the format is cr*p. Matches are booked based on the moment. It should be everybody against everybody. We were setup to fail”. So for Omega and the Champions it is mission accomplished. Of course the Stormtroopers will evolve. The feud maybe lost for them but there is mileage beyond the boundaries of SUDDEN DEATH … Savage Kingdom were wobbling a bit but they’ve got the Creeper to thank of all people for more or less securing their feud win. I don’t think mathematically they can be caught … Super exciting in the Genesis and Colonizer battle. A measly point separating them. Neither team has been able to get away throughout the whole tenure of the feud … Even the undercard feuds have been exciting. Vanity and Queenie dead level and Scourge getting to within a point despite odds against him … Final comment is saved for the Gldiators. What they have done has been incredible. Halfway looked dead and buried but the turnaround has been nothing short of sensational. They have annihilated the Hitmen in the most one-sided feud of them all.
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: PEGASUS - There were some votes for Scourge as he battled back valiantly in his feud against Dynamo. However common sense prevails. Pegasus is leading the Champions team like the true star he is. Even badly injured he is making all the right noises and showing a determination to fight on.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: NINJA ASSASSINS - Honoured again and why not. Their win over Titan Fury under what must of been enormous pressure gives the Masked Assassins a chance. If they’d lost it would of been all over. They have been the reason this feud wasn’t all over long ago.

FED FLASHBACK
Episode 10 – ‘SPIKING TENSIONS’
For a moment divert your attentions away from 2104 because WAR GAMES 2091 REIMAGINED is here and it’s time to enjoy those cards. As before with the other reimagined sets I class these few shows as being originally thought to be dark. However it turns out the GWF cameras were rolling and now they can be pulled out the archives. No date stamps and no belts on the line. So no worries about it upsetting continuity. These were just good old battles in front of enthusiastic sell out crowds. As ever Qualitar fronts up the show and this time he is joined by Terak (holding a couple of furry pets from his zoo) to discuss it all
Qualitar: “Welcome one and all to another Flashback and this time we are in 2091 ready to unveil a few previously hidden gems. Pleased to be joined by Terak as we mull over it. What do you remember about it Terak and also give us a rundown of some of the new guys and changes?” ... Terak: “Well 2091 is one of the most fondly remembered years and I can see why. The WAR GAMES was an exciting new concept and helped keep the fed fresh. Giving a large section of the roster something to fight for. There were even special gimmick belts created and they added a new twist. Personally I was looking forward to Thantos and Krakan falling out with each other trying to lead the Unholy Alliance but it never quite happened. It must of been a tough balancing act keeping all those egos in check but somehow they managed it. Thantos was always conducting the orchestra and the others fell into line” … Qualitar: “It’s a shame you’re team wasn’t on the WAR GAMES roster. Do you have any feelings about the Spike hero turn? It’s possible he denied you or Renegade a spot. In my eyes you were big players back then and deserved to be a part of it” ... Terak: “Aw shucks. That’s nice of you to say. There’s no bitterness from me. There were a lot of top stars not on the roster. Guys like the Titans, Bounty Hunter and Matador were also not involved. Deep down I knew I wasn’t at the right level” ... Qualitar: “Fair enough. So what did you make of Spike? He came in fresh from a Cleansing and looked amazing. If there was ever an example of someone strengthening a team then this was it” ... Terak: “Certainly a massive coup for the Defenders team. Although some of us were worried when he joined the heroes. He was an Aethran after all but for most of 2091 he was good as gold. He gave the heroes an injection of energy. I remember Omega even saying later in the year ‘he’s become part of the furniture’. After seeing villains dominate the main belts in 2090 we all felt this would be the turnaround needed. With the benefit of hindsight he was a huge success and I believe had a long run with the Heavyweight belt that year. It is a shame it didn’t last longer but his eventual return to the Gladiator team was inevitable” … Qualitar: “Of course this is the year one of the greatest wrestlers in history arrived. The only active wrestler to be inducted into the hall of fame in the Matador. He will be showing up a lot in these tapes. A truly astonishing talent” ... Terak: “I remember much of the talk was about Spike becoming a hero and facing the wild and reckless new Gladiator Mayhem. The Matador kind of slipped under the radar a little. Even though there was a huge bidding war for his services among the villain managers, who were throwing themselves at him, the media was focused on the Gladiators. Little did they know one of the most talented wrestlers in GWF history had just arrived. Little spoiler is I take him on here. I won’t let out the result but I was blown away by his skills” … Qualitar: “Looking forward to that. Let’s move onto Mr. Galaxy. Unbelievable body and loved to flaunt it” ... Terak: “Yeah Mr. Galaxy was an interesting character. He had a unique look with his incredible physique but I think it affected his mobility in the ring. Nowadays he’s even more jacked up as Dynamo but I think he looked better back then. It’s funny because the females were split. He was like marmite, they either loved or loathed him. Not sure if he played the field like Vanity though. There has been plenty of questions about his orientation over the years. Even now nobody really knows about that side of his private life. Personally I think his on/off relationship with Cassandra was a staged one” … Qualitar: “No comment from me on that. Anyway let’s move onto Tendron. He really freaked me out first time I ever saw him. Excuse my words but he looked bad ass” ... Terak: “Oh man, Tendron turned some heads with those tentacles and uniform complete with prisoner number. The Galactic Rebels were getting worryingly stronger. However intimidating looks aren’t everything. He certainly wasn’t the best of wrestlers and no matter how Doomsayer built him up there was no way Tendron would be displacing the other Rebels in the pecking order. I cannot remember too well the matches we are about to see but I am sure we aren’t going to see a wrestling masterclass from him here but maybe I’ll be proved wrong. For me Comrade Terror was still the main player on the Rebels and second-in-command to Doomsayer. Tongsoon and Tendron might of thought otherwise which is why there was an internal power struggle barely a couple years away” … Qualitar: “The Rebels were looking a very dangerous group. I’d say they were almost as intimidating as the Aethrans by this point and Doomsayer was still up to his old tricks with experimentation” ... Terak: “Yes there were rumours floating around that Doomsayer was working on some kind of device. Of course we now know it as the Transevolver but after his failure with the ‘Power Ups’ it wasn’t taken that seriously. Boy were we wrong” … Qualitar: “There is plenty more we haven’t spoken of but we are running out of time. Fair to say 2091 was the one of the strongest years for newbies” ... Terak: “Guys like the loner Lance At-Las, Justice, Vlad Hammer, Whiplash, the spooky Count Necros, poor Reptillo, erm I mean Serpent Unman were all attention grabbing for different reasons. We will see the best and worst of them I think in these shows” … Qualitar: “ One last mention of the Aethrans. The introduction of the Guardsman. Many eyebrows were raised when that happened. The plight of their victims went from being something people would see on newsreels to now being right before their eyes in the wrestling ring” ... Terak: “Thanks for reminding. I nearly forgot the Guardsman. This was just another sickening show by the Aethrans to use a POW as a bodyguard/slave. They could of put a zipper onto his mouth instead of sewing it shut like that. I wonder how he fed. Intravenously I guess. Must admit I felt sorry for him. The WAR guys liberated him later but mentally he was damaged. Fury never caught on with the fans, wasn’t a great wrestler and couldn’t work well with others. Tragic if you think about it” ... Qualitar: “Sadly Fury is now in prison on a planet in a remote system. Or so my sources tell me. But let’s not dwell, oh my word what’s happening?” … At this point one of the furry critters Terak was holding jumped free of his grasp and scuttles around the studio running amok. It’s at this point Qualitar suggests maybe it’s time to roll the tapes.

Part 1 – from Triton Pavillion: Thantos forced Wolf into submission … Terak: “Awesome entertainment from the main event but then you can say that about all Wolf’s matches” … Qualitar: “There’s never a dull moment with Wolf. I had to laugh when Wolf howled and Thantos said ‘what was that? Some kind of mating call? Trust me, your not my type’. He was and still is great at the talk” … Terak: “Totally agree. A legend in all facets of wrestling. But did you notice Mayhem lurking in the background watching Wolf. You could just see him at the end of the runway at times. I wonder why he didn’t charge in but I guess he didn’t want to upset Thantos. At least not yet” … Qualitar: “I guess not. The match itself was a classic. Very much fought in a ‘you attack then I’ll attack manor’. At no point was either guy on top for very long” … Terak: “Yes the other matches on the tape are going to have go some to match this. There was controversy when Wolf smashed Thantos face first into a table and got away with it” … Qualitar: “Thantos went mad over that long after the bell. Claimed hero favouritism from the ref. It nearly cost him as it led into Wolf applying SAVAGE FACE CLAW” … Terak: “I cannot believe Thantos survived it. I counted two attempts and numerous other pins. But Thantos wouldn’t give in” … Qualitar: “I think the failure to finish Thantos off frustrated Wolf. He then went for a turnbuckle smash and copped a face full of boot. It wasn’t much longer after that he found himself in MASTERLOCK” … Terak: “Probably the best way to deal with Wolf is incapacitate the legs” … Qualitar: “It was probably one of the most potent finishers around. Plus there was zero risk to Thantos. That’s what made it so deadly” … Terak: “Wolf bravely wriggled to the ropes and forced a break but Thantos just dragged him into the middle of the ring and applied it again. He was so ring savvy” … Qualitar: “No way anyone could deal with that, not even Wolf. Although Wolf refused to submit. It was just that the pain was too much that he passed out. Anyway credit where it’s due. Thantos got the job done but it wasn’t a damaging loss for Wolf. He came through with great honour. Anyway we can chit chat about this all night. There’s more matches to review and some of us have got homes to go to. Roll the next match”.
Spike and Galactic Punisher outclass Mayhem and the Guardsman … Qualitar: “If looks could kill as Mayhem and Spike meet for the first time. This merely whetted the appetite for more” … Terak: “The intensity was there straight away. Mayhem was hamstrung by teaming with the Guardsman but it didn’t stop him going for the jugular. He has always been a wild if slightly suicidal wrestler. That approach epitomised here” … Qualitar: “But even the wildness of Mayhem wasn’t enough. This was the year Spike became a superstar. He held the Heavyweight belt for most of it and carried the Defenders to victory” … Terak: “Unfortunately we only got a snippet here. After Mayhem’s initial mad flurry the Guardsman got marooned in the ring” … Qualitar: “That was beginning of the end really. He can take some punishment and got a few heavy hits in but was sorely lacking in wrestling skill. It was no surprise that Galactic Punisher finished him with LIFE SENTENCE at roughly the 5 minute mark” … Terak: “Galactic Punisher really laying down the law there. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Gladiators tortured and abused the Guardsman for that later. Poor bloke”.
Tendron grabs victory over Adam Blast … Qualitar: “Doomsayer gave Tendron a big introduction there by calling him the Galactic Rebels not so secret weapon. He was product of the Polaris penal system Tendron suffered near grievous head injuries in a shoot out. Doomsayer saved his life but at what cost?” … Terak: “Maybe the effects of Doomsayer’s work will come back to haunt Tendron in the future. He’s been pretty quiet since being retired. All I know is the first time Tendron’s tentacles came to life it drew gasps from everybody. So intimidating but already here you can see he was a wrestler of limited ability. Considering his skill set I think he punched above his weight in the end. Didn’t he have a very strong run with the IP belt once?” … Qualitar: “You know your GWF history. He had a solid 24 card reign circa 2093. He even beat Destructon 3000 once. Although it was shrouded in controversy and not a clean win. No way he’d of been able to beat him otherwise“ … Terak: “Certainly did better than expected but he didn’t look great here even though he did win” … Qualitar: “Yep, kind of fell into his lap as a missed shoulder blast from Adam into the turnbuckle proves fatal”.
Matador of M83 beats Terak with a dazzling performance … Terak: “This is painful viewing for me. I knew within thirty seconds this guy would be a star” … Qualitar: “Certainly was impressive but I don’t think you give yourself enough credit. You had to deal with that weasel Reynard B. Guile’s constant noise and the effects of the double clothesline fell kindly for the Matador” … Terak: “Maybe but being the incredible athlete that he is the Matador forced himself to stand straight away and just carried on. Everything I tried he seemed to have an answer for. He was so quick and slippery in that ring” ... Qualitar: “At least you made a fight of it which is more than can be said for many guys. However you are right about his talent level. There certainly wasn’t a dearth of talent in the GWF but the Matador enriched it by his arrival. By the end of 2091 there was no doubt that in the Matador we had a rising star in the GWF” … Terak: “You got that right. I suppose I should give myself more credit as you suggest. I was also a bit bummed B. Guile was at ringside. The Matador never normally allowed to accompany. I blame him mostly for the loss. He caused me to hesitate and that’s when I got hit with the one-leg karate kick”.
Star Warrior stays calm against Serpent Unman to close out a DQ win … Qualitar: “Interesting to hear Star Warrior talk about the future in his promo. Surely retirement a long way off but to say he doesn’t want to end up like his dad and hang around in the ring too long was interesting” … Terak: “Yes but I suppose Star Warrior by this point had already been in the GWF since 2079. So that’s 12 years and some of those were extremely stressful and he was worried about wear and tear. His dad’s career only went a few years longer. I know Omega had a long run in POW before the creation of the fed but the way he fizzled out didn’t do him justice. I won’t mention his last match out of respect to him but am sure many of the viewers remember it” … Qualitar: “So you think Star Warrior was just being smart at the time?” … Terak: “Definitely. He didn’t know how long his body was going to hold up and was just basing it on the genetics but as we saw in this match he is very much in his prime. And of course as we all know he is still going strong today. He’s still a great wrestler” … Qualitar: “Sure is. Anyway this was pretty much a walk in the park for him. He let the wild Unman get more and more out of control. The DQ was inevitable despite Reynard B. Guile’s best efforts to pull the wool over the ref’s eyes. There are sterner tests for him come on the next episodes”.
Pit Viper defeated Justice by DQ … Qualitar: “Assume in the timeline Pit Viper hadn’t completely reverted back to the Titans. He was brainwashed by Darkos and the Titans spent a few years trying to get their friend back. Believe during the transitional period Viper wrestled on his own for a few weeks. The fact neither Darkos or Trainer Jim are at ringside suggests this match happened during that run. Anyway this was a good match to open the card and everyone was excited to see both of these taking each other on” … Terak: “Justice certainly passed judgement with an aggressive performance. He had plenty of fan backing in his debut year but ultimately struggled to keep the popularity going. The fans had their big favourites and Justice just didn’t have the same charisma I guess. Maybe that’s why all those years later he was able to be turned to Dark Justice” … Qualitar: “Whatever the fans thought he had great success in the years to come and is one of the best tag wrestlers of all time securing the belts with numerous partners. And I hate to say it but now as a villain he is excelling as a singles wrestler and is our current IP champion. Anyway the match itself was surprisingly hardcore. Thought it’d be a pretty clean fight but Viper took it outside. Justice wanted to show he can’t be pushed around and brawls a little too aggressively for the ref’s liking”.

Part 2 – from Oberon Civic Center:
(Featured an in the ring interview with Thantos flanked by several of his Unholy Alliance team. He says he doesn’t care about all the new blood and changes in the GWF and that his team will crush the Defenders in 2091. His final line is “The other villains follow me like I am the pied piper. So that shows that I’m still the big dog round here and let nobody forget it”)
Brute and Massacre inflict a damaging defeat on Special Forces … Qualitar: “What a contest. Arguably one of the greatest tag teams in history against two of the greatest singles stars in history” … Terak: “An unexpected treat. I didn’t know this was on the tape. This is why WAR GAMES was great as it encouraged these sorts of matches. Star Warrior and Wolf had teamed up before but it was extremely rare. Wolf’s loner status meant he didn’t make alliances often. I would of loved to of teamed up with him on special occasions myself but it never happened” … Qualitar: “Wolf could of made plenty of cool tag teams. I always thought looking back a tag team with Iron Mane would of made a natural alliance. I remember playing the GWF board game that was out at the time. Was always pairing them up as the Ferocious Beasts. Anyway I digress. There was drama even before the match. Mayhem had stayed out at ringside after the chaos of the last match. The ref tried and failed to send him away. Fearing things would get ugly Star Warrior agreed to let him stay but it put the Special Forces at a disadvantage with both Mayhem and the Guardsman prowling” … Terak: “I suppose Star Warrior reasoned it would make winning even more special. And of course Wolf was never going to object” … Qualitar: “It comes back to bite him. The Special Forces were ticking along okay and working together, which cannot always be said of Wolf, but it all goes wrong” … Terak: “Star Warrior in control as he hit that devastating Tomahawk Thrust. But he let Massacre get away from him and roll outside. Worst thing he could do was to follow him” … Qualitar: “The tag expertise of the Gladiators comes out. Brute distracts the ref. Mayhem and the Guardsman attack Wolf whilst Massacre manages to grab Star Warrior and despatch him towards the ring post” … Terak: “At this point I still didn’t see Star Warrior in a bad situation but he must’ve been more hurt than thought as Massacre uses THE CLEANSING and pins him (snake eyes roll)” … Qualitar: “Feisty aftermath. Wolf is enraged and wants to take everyone on after the bell but is hopelessly outnumbered. Star Warrior recovered and somehow convinced him to back down and leave before things get real bad. Last thing anyone wanted was another crazy brawl”.
Justice doesn’t look a winner but gets the verdict over Mayhem by DQ … Qualitar “That was mayhem (no pun intended)” … Terak: “Sure was. I don’t envy anyone stepping into the ring with Mayhem. Demon speed is what Justice needed to be able to try and live with the barbaric style of the new Gladiator and he did that well” … Qualitar: “Justice did what many wrestlers try to do and stay away from Mayhem. Let him tire himself out and self damage with his suicidal move set. Trouble is it’s tough to stay out his clutches for too long” … Terak: “Mayhem did sometimes hit the self destruct button. LEAP OF DOOM was devastating but mega risky and if he got too angry then that chain would come out. He lost a lot of matches and still does that way” … Qualitar: “You never knew what you were going to get but he had plenty of firepower with those two finishers. Shame we never saw them here though” … Terak: “Well I thought overall Justice did great. Never let Mayhem get going but the moment he ended out of the ring there was always going to be danger. It was like being thrown to the sharks with the Guardsman lurking” … Qualitar: “Mayhem didn’t even try to divert the ref’s attentions. The Guardsman laid into him and the bell followed seconds later for the DQ. Mayhem joined the Guardsman who held Justice up” … Terak: “I thought this was it. Justice’s career over before it had gotten started as Mayhem wrapped the chain round his fist” … Qualitar: “The cheer that went up when Spike led by Justice’s buddy Galactic Punisher came out for a daring rescue gave me goosebumps” … Terak: “The brawl was manic with bodies going everywhere. How nobody got seriously injured is a mystery” … Qualitar: “Neither side truly on top by the time about a dozen beefed up security guys armed with stun guns came in. Although this was a dark show I think it was such a big brawl it did actually get mentioned on tv at the time. It really helped set the feud rivalries in motion”.
Lance At-Las shocks Comrade Terror with a deserved DQ victory. Qualitar: “I always thought Lance was one of the most underrated wrestlers in GWF history. He was always on top teams and a phenomenal singles and tag wrestler. Of course here he starts his career as a valued member of much respected Supreme Gods team” … Terak: “Yes and he shows his skills off. A little known fact many don’t know but Omega was already kind of mentoring him during 2090 to prepare for the GWF. Solaris had brought him forward in time some months earlier to get him trained up. It sowed the seeds for eventually joining the Champions team a few years later” … Qualitar: “Wow I didn’t know that. You cannot get a better teacher than that.” … Terak: “That’s not all. Although he lived out much of his life on Mars Lance was actually born on Titan, then bought up as a child on Rigel before travelling into the past and exiling himself to the quiet Martian life.” … Qualitar: “You have a surprising amount of information nuggets. Although I actually had heard that rumour. But he wasn’t a total hermit. Making frequent trips to Earth to help alleviate boredom in his solitude and show off his strength. Makes him a very interesting character indeed. Shame given his Titan heritage he never ended up on their team at any part of his career. Am sure Lord Nexus and Trainer Jim would of welcomed him in with open arms” … Terak: “Could of been great but at this time he is with the Supreme Gods ably guided by the legendary Solaris and battling the Galactic Rebels. They don’t come tougher than Comrade Terror” … Qualitar: “A main event calibre feud for sure. Started with a lot of psychology as Doomsayer zipped about in his floating chair trying to get inside Lance’s head” … Terak: “Lance was an expert at blocking out external distractions and got on with the job at hand. I think he surprised Comrade Terror with his in-ring repertoire” … Qualitar: “Comrade Terror tried to start with some heavy hits and send Lance for an early bath but couldn’t do it. Lance matched him in all departments. When Lance got MARTIAN MANHANDLER off it was almost over. That riled Comrade Terror. Minutes after that he brutalised Lance outside the ring. Probably rather take a DQ loss than a pin fall against him” … Terak: “What happened after was dramatic. I don’t think Solaris will of approved but Proteus was watching the action from close quarters. His temper sometimes got the better of him and he was quite protective of the newcomer, Lance” … Qualitar: “He was annoyed at what happened and stormed in attacking Comrade Terror. This lured in the other newcomer Tendron and we had a 4 way brawl. One of many on this tape. When the dust settled a 6 man tag battle between Lance and the Greek Gods was signed against Comrade Terror and Prison Camp as a result. We will get to enjoy that match in a later episode” … Terak: “Awesome, cannot wait to watch that”.
Spike battered Count Necros … Qualitar: “Necros was a newcomer. Weird guy who was good at lulling opponents into a false sense of security. Had a spooky habit of appearing to be out cold and then just suddenly sitting up” … Terak: “Yes he caught a few guys out but overall he was a very average wrestler. Kind of jack of all trades and master of none. Just had a Halloween gimmick. Obviously having the Royal Overlord with him helped but Spike pretty much just took him apart here” … Qualitar: “Am glad of that. I can tell you don’t like him much. Necros creeped me out too. He conjured images of the classic vampire in my mind. The reality was that he was an evil dictator back on his honeworld of Preplanus who treated his subjects abominably” … Terak: “We are wasting our breath on him. Let’s discuss Spike. He was an incredible specimen in 2091 and shockingly became a hero” … Qualitar: “It didn’t last but the impact he made was telling. He was easily wrestler of the year and dominated the Heavyweight belt. Am sure he was champion at the time of this show but there’s no evidence of that. For someone so powerful he also had great agility. Maybe not on the level of someone like Star Warrior or Lord Nexus but it made him extremely tough to beat. We see a very similar fighting style in the present GWF with Malice. The Gladiator trained by Spike” … Terak: “Necros found out painfully. I suppose he did ok to last as long as he did but never offered any real threat. I loved the finish” … Qualitar: “Yes the move everyone wanted to see came in the form of MEGADESTROYER. The Royal Overlord foolishly tried to break the pin but Spike just met him with a clothesline and almost took his head off” … Terak: “Great to see. Hate managers interfering. I am a manager now and always try not to do that. Anyway there was no spooky rising from Necros and Spike gets the pin. What an athlete”.
Incredible Badger handles Serpent Unman … Terak: “Yikes that looked painful. That worker should of gotten out the way. What was he doing on the runway during Serpent Unman’s entrance?” … Qualitar: “Yeah made me wince too when Unman did that. Those sharp claws tore the shirt right of his back. The Unman had become a real circus act with his split personality. Sometimes calm but often totally out of control and dangerous. Just like that” … Terak: “He was too unpredictable. I tried to help him once but just got bitten for my troubles” … Qualitar: “At least Badger was trying to be careful. Notice how he kept stepping back trying to let Serpent Unman burn off some wild energy” … Terak: “A DQ for the Unman looked on the cards. Reynard B. Guile, bless him, didn’t feel up to coming out after the last match. Assume that’s why Amazonia wasn’t out there too. No need with B. Guile gone. But given his stalking tendencies it was probably for the best. So all eyes were on the match itself without his constant distractions” … Qualitar: “I don’t think Reynard would of tried anything with Wolf present at the venue and wrestling later in the main event but you never know with him” … Terak: “Anyway in summary Badger wrestled the perfect match against his old mate. Kept his distance and then just picked him off” … Qualitar: “Badger was best known for his tag exploits but he could handle himself in singles action too as shown here. BURROW BLAST lacked potency but was an effective finisher to get it done. Most tag specialists don’t even have a singles finisher. Good stuff from Badger but let’s now move on”.
The Gamehunters are as surprised as anyone to beat Titan Power by DQ … Qualitar: “Reynard B. Guile’s pathetic attempt to capture some gold by tag teaming with Bounty Hunter. Obviously expecting Bounty Hunter to do all the work” … Terak: “He did that on and off for a few years I think before the penny dropped and he realised he was too useless. After this he tried pairing the Bounty Hunter with Serpent Unman as the Nightstalkers but they weren’t much better” … Qualitar: “I always enjoyed seeing Reynard B. Guile get beaten up. The Titans were too noble to really put the boot in. Just did what they had to do and no more” … Terak: “Fair play to them as I wouldn’t of been so restrained. Reynard gave us plenty of problems. Thought of us all as animals to be hunted” … Qualitar: “Unfortunately that lack of killer instinct cost the Titans. Lord Nexus had managed to get B. Guile into the action and was giving him a wrestling lesson. He looked to be headed to victory after TITAN DROP twice in a row. First time B. Guile survived. His foot had literally fallen on the ropes and Lord Nexus didn’t notice. Second time Bounty Hunter interrupted the pin” … Terak: “The Gamehunters got lucky. It was shortly after that Lord Nexus let B. Guile slither away from him and get a defensive tag. The complexion of the match changed now Bounty Hunter was in. But the Titans remained professional and were giving him a rough ride too” … Qualitar: “Trouble is for all his nobility Billy Jo could get a bit carried away. He needlessly throws Bounty Hunter outside. Trainer Jim pleads with him not too follow” … Terak: “I don’t think Billy Jo heard him. He wouldn’t ignore his manager. But as he approached the Bounty Hunter felt the ref’s hand on his shoulder. He must of thought it was Reynard B. Guile” … Qualitar: “That’s the only explanation for what Billy Jo did. Swinging round in an instant and decking him with a punch. The grey look he had afterwards suggests it was a total accident. But it had to be a DQ. The Gamehunters with a rare win and boy did Reynard B. Guile rub it in”.

Part 3 – from Mimas Spectrum:
(The Galacticops get set upon by a hooded gang of wrestlers and have to pull out of their match against the Warmongers at short notice. Thantos rumoured to of been the ring leader behind the attack and made a deal with the Masked Assassins. Other suspects are the Gladiators but stealth and hoods aren’t really their style. Trouble is neither Cop cannot enlighten anyone, Justice later said “it was from behind so I never got a look at them. I just remember feeling what felt like a plank of wood crash into the back of my head and then the lights went out”)
Exo-King wins the big man battle against Massif inside a Cosmic Cage … Qualitar: “What a booking. These two giants who absolutely hated each other locked inside a cage” … Terak: “Love it when wrestlers are put outside their comfort zone. Due to their size climbing out the cage would be more difficult. Although Massif has conquered many of the most dangerous mountains in the known cosmos so it probably posed less of a problem to him” … Qualitar: “Probably not too much help, climbing a cage is a different skill. The stipulation here was that the cage door would remain locked. The only way to win was over the top” … Terak: “This probably would of been perfect for Killer Queen. With his superior quickness it would of given Massif a real problem” … Qualitar: “Good call. Yes, Exo-King and Royal Overlord missed a trick there” … Terak: “Exo-King was at his antagonising best as he entered the cage first. Calling the crowd peons and telling them how lucky they were to be rubbing shoulders with GWF royalty” … Qualitar: “Massif soon shut him up by entering as Exo-King mocked the crowd. Cutting short the insults by picking him up and pitching towards the cage side” … Terak: “The whole side almost gave way” … Qualitar: “The King didn’t take that sitting down and fought back almost immediately. The pain of the impact seemingly not registering due to the adrenaline. At least not yet” … Terak: “Yes he fought back strong. Back then Massif usually got the better of Exo-King but not this time” … Qualitar: “It didn’t go very long. The King returned the favour with a couple of cage smashes of his own. Then an atomic drop shook Massif’s entire body” … Terak: “He didn’t waste anytime going for the escape. Doing it one of the corners was clever and made for an easier climb” … Qualitar: “The fans were willing Massif on to recover but he reacted too late. The King was already on the other side descending. Massif reaching through the bars desperately” … Terak: “At least he got a handful of hair. The King obviously decided the win was more important than his hair. Jumped down the last few feet leaving Massif with a clump of it” … Qualitar: “Disappointing outcome but Massif would bounce back. He had a great end to 2091, tasting belt glory. It wasn’t too shabby for Exo-King either” … Terak: “Was good to see other guys on top. We’d gotten very used to Wolf, Thantos and Star Warrior being dominant but this is the year plenty of other guys made their mark”.
The Warmongers beat the Norse Gods (sub the Galacticops) via DQ ... Qualitar: “Wow, Man-Mountain was looking massive. Must of put some pounds on over Christmas because being announced 600 lbs is probably not his fighting weight. He was usually a 550-570 pounder. Even a winch would have had difficulty shifting him” … Terak: “Yeah he was lumbering lump but he was good fun to be around. Sadly in his modern day Hog persona he has become a disgusting individual. This is the version of him I like to remember” … Qualitar: “Interesting background behind the match. It was supposed to be the Galacticops wrestling for the heroes side but they got beaten up a few hours before. At very late notice the Norse Gods got booked in their place. Nobody knew who was responsible but word in the locker room was it was the brainchild of Thantos. He didn’t fancy facing such a hot new tag team with lots of momentum. At least not yet” … Terak: “No surprises hearing that. Just a shame the heroes could not field a stronger team in their place. As much as I respected the Norse Gods I didn’t fancy their chances” … Qualitar: “Yeah me neither but maybe Thantos and Krakan would struggle to work together and the Norse Gods ably guided by Solaris could capitalise. Little side note but there were a few men in white coats dotted around the crowd. They were watching the Norse Gods very carefully and scribbling notes. With the benefit of hindsight we now know why but at the time this must of been very confusing. They showed up periodically for the next 2 or 3 years at their matches and made a few of the GWF newsreels. People wondering who they were exactly” … Terak: “Despite reservations of whether Thantos and Krakan could work together they seemed pretty in sync here. Double teaming at the right moments. Often a 2 man job trying to get Man-Mountain off his feet but they achieved it pretty easily. Left him with a mountain to climb, see what I did there!” … Qualitar: “Yes, very good. Actually Thantos did get caught out early on. Trying to slam him but buckling under the weight. He didn’t make that mistake again” … Terak: “Ended disappointingly for me. Man-Mountain in trouble rolled under the bottom rope landing outside the ring. I swear the whole place shook as he landed. Brawl breaks out. Amidst it all Thantos takes a chair shot and that’s the DQ there and then” … Qualitar: “Agreed that it was a lame finish. I was looking at Solaris because he doesn’t condone that behaviour but he just seemed to stand there meditating. Certainly did nothing to discourage it” … Terak: “Might just be me but DQ finishes at an all time high. Maybe ref’s clamping down?” … Qualitar: “I just think hostilities across the fed were rising all the time. So clean finishes were becoming less frequent”.
Mr. Galaxy tames the wildness of Renegade ... Both Qualitar and Terak stay quiet for this one. Match takes ages to start as Mr. Galaxy gives an impromptu flexing session. He is really milking the moment. Sweet Thing thinks he is so handsome and goes weak at the knees at the sight of it. She yells out excitedly for more. Mr. Galaxy flamboyantly strokes his moustache and throws a kiss “flattery will get you everywhere” and continues flaunting with Sweet Thing watching for as long as Vanity lets her. She is eventually dragged away by the arm and ordered to be quiet and take her place at ringside. That little show had to of made things awkward between Vanity and Mr. Galaxy but nothing came of it. So after this drawn out segment things can finally start. Renegade gets announced and runs like a madman into the ring. Unfortunately the match was not really worth the wait. Renegade just wants to brawl whilst Mr. Galaxy shows little wrestling skill and relying on power and cheating. The most interesting thing that happens is when Sweet Thing got ejected. In a bid to assist Mr. Galaxy and distract Renegade she got on the apron and started hitching up her skirt. No way the ref was standing for that. Not with kids in the crowd and watching. Her absence didn’t harm Mr. Galaxy. He mostly has the upper hand applying MUSCLE RIPPER several times. Eventually it yields the win. More crowd heckling as he then commences another set of poses. Only this time Renegade cuts it short by recovering and throwing him over the ropes before charging off at a million miles an hour.
Lord Nexus chalks another win over Whiplash by DQ ... Qualitar “So the Executioner morphs into Whiplash. He was high on many most hated lists having been a very close aide to Thantos during the notorious code breaking period. Do you think this was an improvement?” … Terak: “Am on the fence about the Whiplash gimmick but he had this incredible Backside Beheading move that he could pull off quickly with help from Darkos. That made him dangerous. He actually tried to surprise Lord Nexus here with it for a fast win but it didn’t happen. So a few tweaks but I’m not sure he got any better” … Qualitar “I found the match quite funny when the normally measured and calculating Darkos lost his cool and went bananas at the ref for telling him to get off the ring apron” … Terak: “Trainer Jim could of stepped in and easily got Whiplash disqualified but the Titans were such an honest bunch. I bet the thought never even crossed his mind” … Qualitar: “Whiplash did it to himself in the end anyway. He was struggling against the speed and agility of Lord Nexus. Even having to produce a strong kickout after TITAN DROP. So he bailed outside, pulled Lord Nexus out with him by the legs and dispatched him into the nearest table” … Terak: “I found it quite sickening when he then placed the groggy Lord Nexus head first onto a ring step as if it was on a chopping block” … Qualitar: “Very distasteful. Trainer Jim tried to stop whatever plan was about to unfold but suddenly found his path blocked by Splatter and Death Masque. Their sudden appearance was shocking” … Terak: “Lord Nexus looked very vulnerable and there wasn’t anyone other than Jim about to help him but then it got weird” … Qualitar: “Yes. The Masked Assassins were circling like vultures but suddenly Darkos got a message and called them all off. He had some trouble convincing the lunatic Splatter to back down. That was very bizarre. Lucky escape for Lord Nexus and Trainer Jim. A violent attack had looked very likely”.
Powers of Darkness dominant over the New Bomb Squad … Qualitar: “All change for the Bomb Squad. I felt they weren’t quite as good on paper now they’d lost the quickness of Adam Blast” … Terak: “I think you’re right. They were the weak link. They needed to start better to give themselves a fighting chance but got into trouble early when Commander Sam was caught dawdling and blasted with HELLFIRE” … Qualitar: “Not the start they wanted but Sam always had a real will to win. With the help of his partner he not only survived it but came back with a big level 3 move” … Terak: “Don’t big him up, the guy is a fruitcake” … Qualitar: “Come on. I don’t want to argue. He’s always been passionate and impetuous but his current persona is down to Mesmer. Surely you can see that. And even now he is fighting it” … Terak: “Perhaps you are right. I just find it difficult to trust guys like Sam and Massif after all that’s happened. They need to win it back” … Qualitar: “Anyway back to the match. Sam’s comeback all too brief. Bishop Hell soon getting back in control. Actually ends up winning it clean after a Scorpion Death Lock” … Terak: “Bishop Hell reminding us what a good wrestler he can be without all the fire nonsense. I can’t remember too well but I don’t think the Powers of Darkness really achieved anything. Which is a surprise as they were quite an intimidating team … Qualitar: “I think that says a lot about the depth of the tag roster in the GWF. By 2091 it had become unbelievably strong and it would just keep getting stronger year by year”.
Tongsoon arouses the temper of Proteus to get a DQ win … Qualitar: “That was nuts. The Cosmic Forces and Tendron trying to severely injure Proteus in the post match. He did well to fight them off but in the end there was just one too many and he went down under a barrage of blows. The feud between the Supreme Gods and Galactic Rebels was more intense than I remembered” … Terak: “Thank god his entire team were at the show and saw this go down. They were quickly on the scene and cleared the ring. Could of been very nasty if not for that” … Qualitar: “It kind of overshadowed what was a decent match. Proteus taking some heavy bombardment but standing up to it” … Terak: “Tongsoon hit him with BATTLE CRY but Proteus kicked out like it was a level 1 move” … Qualitar: “That worried Doomsayer. So he started insulting the Greek heritage of Proteus and calling ancient wrestling primitive. Proteus reacted with anger” … Terak: “Not the best idea to go out and confront Doomsayer but funny to see Proteus to send the floating chair spinning with a flick of the wrist” … Qualitar: “Left the ref with no choice to call the DQ. Of course Proteus had no time to dwell on the outcome because within moments all hell broke loose” … Terak “It was a shame because Proteus although best known for his tag exploits was a very solid singles wrestler. He could of beaten Tongsoon. The aftermath certainly put the feud between the Rebels and Supreme Gods on the map” … Qualitar: “Everything all perfectly set up for the next episode and the big 6 man tag match featuring members of the Galactic Rebels and the Supreme Gods”.
