Card 869 – Titan Sportatorium:
(Mixed feelings for the Titan crowd after this. Across this show and the dark matches they have seen their heroes perform brilliantly to go 4-0 in matches. Just what they would of wanted but the violent assault of Lord Nexus described below left many of them in distress. Probably explains why the next card which was the final stop off at the Sportatorium had a lot of empty seats. Lord Nexus from his sickbed had also pulled his guys from the bill with Commissioner Grogan’s blessing after learning further attacks may be planned. Pulsar, who was originally booked to wrestle, wasn’t happy but accepted the decision. His planned match against Daeman was replaced at late notice with Jack of Diamonds against Gila. That didn’t have quite the same appeal) QUALITAR’S GAUNTLET WITH … LORD NEXUS … Massive pop for the hero of Titan. Qualitar: “Listen to that. Seems you’re pretty popular in these parts. How are you my friend?” … Lord Nexus: “All good thanks. Pretty pleased with life” … Qualitar: “Might that have anything do with winning SUDDEN DEATH and Pulsar returning to the team?” … Lord Nexus: “I cannot tell you how happy we are to have Pulsar back. We understood his reasons but when someone like him leaves your team. Well, it’s almost like suffering a bereavement” … Qualitar: “Totally understandable. Maybe it was for the best though that he took time away. It stopped a repeat of the whole Pit Viper thing and years of feuding against one of your own” … Lord Nexus: “I think you’re right on that. But I was proud of what he achieved against Bishop Hell and as a tag team with No Fear. I watched every match he was involved in like I was a fan. At times I wanted to come out and help him but that wouldn’t of done any good. He needed space. Besides Archon was a great friend and partner to him. Even Thantos managed him well despite his sudden switch to the CPC” … Qualitar: “Thantos defecting surprised all of us. They have got themselves a big signing there. Didn’t see that coming” … Lord Nexus: “I hate to say it but Thantos will make just as great a manager as he did a wrestler. I hope he comes to his senses but he has been swayed by money for now. All guys like myself, Star Warrior and the other hero managers can do is band to together and fight off the CPC threat whilst simultaneously dealing with our team feuds” … Qualitar: “That’s why the heroes always do so well. Always willing to work together to deal with problems. The villains have some incredible wrestlers but the amount of times they fail is no surprise. I don’t think Chaos has won any of the big team feuds. Anyway enough about them. You’ve got some matches for your guys tonight, any predictions?” … Lord Nexus: “Well the matches for Pulsar and Titan Fury will be tough but with the home crowd willing them on I am confident it will be a successful night. I’ve even got a little surprise up my sleeve when Titan Fury comes on” … Qualitar: “Can’t wait to see that. Any concerns about the Masked Assassins. Darkos predicts Pulsar will bring turmoil to your team and they’ll blow the Titans away this year” … Lord Nexus: “Darkos is not qualified to make such an assessment. We are a harmonious and close knit team. Always have been and always will be. Anyway I’ve lost track of how many times we have beaten the Masked Assassins but we will keep on doing it no matter how many times they try to reinvent themselves. That second reign of greatness moniker that keeps getting thrown out is getting tiresome” … Qualitar: “Yes it is but I suppose the Ninja Assassins grabbing the tag titles has finally added some weight to his lofty claims but I still think his team is not in the same league as yours. Sorry to say time is running out. Thank you for being here. Good luck for tonight” … Lord Nexus: “Always a pleasure”. Lord Nexus waves to the home crowd and gets a huge cheer. But as he goes to leave the Mutant comes out of nowhere and attacks him. Seems the Hitmen are back in business as Darkos has paid Krakan to do a number on him. Obviously not wanting to risk any suspensions himself. Given Krakan’s deep disdain for Lord Nexus he wouldn’t of taken a lot of convincing. Before Lord Nexus knows what’s happening Mutant has smashed him in the back of the head with a rusty pipe. It moans at it continues administering blows. Kids in the crowd are crying at the sight of their hero being treated like this. Even some adults look close to tears. Qualitar desperately yells for help. Titan Fury and Pulsar all arrive on the scene but it’s too late. Plenty of damage done. Mutant gets spooked as soon it sees them and shows a surprise turn of speed to flee. The Titans are tempted to go after it but their greater concern is the the welfare of Lord Nexus. He is at least moving but is losing plenty of blood from a cranium wound. Medics attend to him and Lord Nexus, just like his son a few weeks ago, is stretchered from the scene. The show continues as the Titans know they have to get on with things. Updates come throughout the night on the condition of Lord Nexus. The main problem is concussion but there were plenty of cuts to be stitched up and some bad bruising across the shoulders. He’ll be out of action for over a month (6 cards) and is strongly advised to rest up fully and not be tempted into showing up at ringside until fully healed up. Considering the ferocity of some of those blows he is very lucky this wasn’t even more serious. Chaos, Skinhead and Heracles too strong for the FDF in a 6 man elimination battle. A hot match as Commander Sam comes up against his old troops. He is already fed up of Chaos bad mouthing him and calling him the worst manager in GWF history. The FDF are underdogs but Sam believes with his mind free from Faltax that he can command them to a famous victory. Heracles is dripping wet having bathed with several maidens, including Anaxis, to relax before this test. He then enrages US. Patriot by suggesting next time Ms. Liberty can join him as a special treat. Chaos bellows with laughter at the verbal jousting. Commander Sam is only just able to stop Adam picking up a chair and holds him back. Whispers into his ear what sounded like “don’t rise to it, it’s what they want”. Things wouldn’t of need much heating up but this gave it a nice edge. Anywhere here is how it went down … Skinhead eliminates Killer Queen with BAD ATTITUDE. Bad start for the FDF. Skinhead wrestling like he has a real point to prove … Chaos easily beats Jack of Diamonds. Relentless applications of BOW OF DEFEAT. The final one saw Chaos use a turnbuckle in combination. Putting all his weight into it and crushing poor Jack. When he finally releases Jack just flops to the mat and Chaos arrogantly places a boot across the throat and demands a count. There was no helping him as Heracles had already taken care of US. Patriot … US. Patriot fights hard against Heracles and manages to beat him with a one-leg karate kick. A glimmer of hope as it’s now no longer three onto one. Commander Sam conducts the crowd and gets an “Adam, Adam” chant going … Chaos ends the resistance of US. Patriot via BOW OF DEFEAT. Sadly there is to be no miracle comeback. Adam does great in dealing with both Chaos and Skinhead. He even rocked Chaos with ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST but it wasn’t to be. He was eventually overpowered. Good vibes though. Commander Sam is straight on Spacebook telling anyone who will listen how proud he was of Adam’s efforts tonight. The relationship is now rock solid and Sam has well and truly shaken off the shackles of that vile Faltax substance. Titan Fury see off the Lower World. Dangerous looking match for Titan Fury. The Lower World have already turned some heads having beaten Wolf and Talisman at DEIMOS PERENNIAL inside a cage. The Titans have a special mascot cheering them on from ringside. A young star struck teenager named Timmy. He stands under the protection of the Titans. He was supposed to be alongside his hero, Lord Nexus, but the shocking earlier events meant that wasn’t happening. Lord Nexus is currently receiving hospital treatment. Titan Fury are professional and get on with job at hand. Their mascot, Timmy, looks a little exposed with Maleph flapping around so Rising Sun pulls him up onto the apron. Rising Sun then expertly times a karate kick. He gets unbelievable height on it and takes Maleph down mid flight. With that taken care of it becomes real high tempo stuff from the Titans but they do get into some strife which worries the passionate home crowd. Dragonmaster in particular is in trouble. Takes FUNERAL MARCH a couple of times. It’s up to Rising Sun to do the necessary and he drags the Titans back into the match. Has a long battle with Erebus. A deathjump attempt from Erebus goes wrong as Rising Sun tosses it down from the turnbuckle. Erebus had looked very awkward perched up there. The Titans seize upon it and link up for DAY OF THE DRAGON. Deafening cheer from the crowd when the ref counts the pin to 3. The Titans hoist little Timmy onto their shoulders to celebrate. However they are keen to get away and get news on their manager’s condition. Timmy assumes the nickname of Triple T (Tiny Timmy Titan) and becomes the official mascot of the team in 2105. Pulsar gives payback to Soldier of Fortune. Titan fans excited to see Pulsar back as one of them. Being a Hitman and in light of what happened to Lord Nexus the reaction to his opponent, Soldier of Fortune, is a frosty one. Many Titan fans are too respectful to deal out abuse and stay silent as he is introduced with sworn enemy Krakan in tow but there are a few hecklers. But by and large they prefer to see everything done with honour. Which is why Pulsar shocks them when he throws his corrosive substance ACID RAIN during the match. It wasn’t only the once but twice. The first attempt to pin Soldier of Fortune had been foiled by Krakan. When it got thrown in his face again there was no stopping Pulsar from taking the win. The manner of victory drew a few gasps from the fans. Seeing any Titan go hardcore is not something they are used to. You’d have to go all the way back to the Paladin Power days for such Titan aggression but even they weren’t doing things like that. Pulsar’s aggressiveness adds a layer of uncertainty as to whether he might leave the team again in the future. Kind of seen as loose cannon. But they still love him and it was sweet payback on the Hitmen for what they had orchestrated earlier. Thrash gets revenge against Ms. Liberty in a Lepus Stun Rod match. Thrash was mega pushy to get this match. Ms . Liberty wants to show her last win was no fluke so agrees to the challenge. With that shocking loss fresh in the memory Thrash is in a destructive mood. The rods aren’t the only weapons she calls upon during the match. However she almost came unstuck again very early. The holster lit up almost immediately when Ms. Liberty was on offence and she got in a devastating blow with it for a pin attempt. Thrash managed a powerful kickout and clawed her way back. Although it is Titan Death rules an official is on hand to try and keep order and of course illegal use of the Stun Rod can lead to a DQ. However he is unsighted as Thrash pulls on what looked to be brass knuckles and clonked Ms. Liberty as she was ready for a leap off the turnbuckle. Ms. Liberty falls and looks badly hurt. Offers up no resistance as Thrash now grabs her and uses FEMME FATAL. Even in victory Thrash’s rage is not fully satisfied. Grabs a hold of Ms. Liberty’s hair and smashes her face first into the mat several times for good measure. US. Patriot might be seeking Thrash out for such violent behaviour against his wife. He is present and being readied for the main event after all. Although he might think it wiser to let sleeping dogs lie as any confrontation could raise the ire of Overkill.
Archon wins a mat classic over Dark Justice. Archon is liberated from tag team action. As much as he liked Pulsar he found the hardcore style being used pretty tough to swallow. Although he admitted he had gotten so used to having a partner and manager this felt strange. Nonetheless he came through the contest with flying colours. It was great action. 8 tokens between them when the end came (Archon 3, Justice 5). Archon got going with his submission finisher moves pretty early but Justice gritted his teeth and survived the onslaught. Thinks he is control after this but then critically missed a turnbuckle smash that took the wind out of him with a heavy chest impact. Archon straight on him for a second wave of submission holds with ELBOW HYPEREXTENSION leaving Justice incapable of taking anymore.
Draconian Sheik pulverised Hydrax. Although he took a loss to Daeman previously Drac now moves onto the other Ninja Assassin. Leaves a trail of destruction. The Terrorists don’t have to do a lot. Just their presence and implication they could attack at anytime is enough to disrupt Hydrax. His weak resistance ended with DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. The Terrorists call Drac off from any post match attacking. Hydra seen as so pathetic that they cannot be bothered with it.

Card 870 – Titan Sportatorium:
IP champ, Talisman, works hard to beat Dynamo by DQ. Maxine Babe stroking Dynamo’s ego big time in the build up. Calls him “just the sweetest guy and now he’s going to do something Vanity could never do and win a belt. I love gold you know”. Seems far fetched but he nearly goes and does it. Archon’s influence on Talisman’s style is obvious to see. Talisman is not doing cowardly things like leaving the ring under pressure. Noble but means Dynamo got two shots at him with MUSCLE RIPPER when he could probably of gotten out of there. Both times Talisman got to the ropes. In between that Talisman had the fans on their feet with AMULET DROP but it didn’t pack enough punch to get the pin he craved. In the end Dynamo was his own worst enemy. He was on top but took it outside and was attacking Talisman. When the ref tried to stop the assault Dynamo fatefully pushed him to one side which led to the DQ. Dynamo will be kicking himself as can’t see an opportunity like this rolling round again given his age and the level of talent in the fed. The fact he even got a title shot in the first place had already raised plenty of eyebrows. Talisman is pretty full of himself post match. Even though he does a lot of noble things there is still an inflated ego. He is already referring to himself as the greatest IP champ ever. The likes of the Matador and Dark Justice will disagree with that. Amazonia in unstoppable form against Anaxis as she wins the Ladies belt. When Heracles leads out Anaxis out there is a collective groan but Amazonia doesn’t care. She relishes the challenge and knows she can handle herself. In the background of this there is suggestion that US. Patriot may pay Heracles a visit. He is still stewing over Heracles being suggestive to his wife and inviting her to bathe with him. The thought of Ms. Liberty being caught up in what can only be described as an orgy makes Adam’s blood boil. It certainly made him raise his game on the last card when Adam fought and beat Heracles. Add into the mix that Heracles could potentially upset Wolf should he do anything to Amazonia and that’s a list of extra enemies racking up fast. Let that not overshadow this match though. Amazonia is really aggressive and gives Anaxis everything she’s got. Anaxis is not a multi-time ladies champ for nothing and gives it back but it’s soon clear, barring outside intervention, nothing is going stop Amazonia. By the time she deals a second AMAZON ATTACK there is no saving Anaxis. Heracles tries but as he climbs up onto the apron feels himself pulled back. The rumoured arrival of US. Patriot materialises. With surprise on his side he is able to floor Heracles with a clothesline. Job done he takes off without looking back. If he had done he would of seen Amazonia successfully dethroning Anaxis and Heracles in some kind of bewildered rage state. Amazonia wins the title and casually walks past Heracles, briefly pausing to give him a good look at the belt they’d lost. Post match sees the anger of Heracles enter the social media. Rather than target Amazonia his attentions are solely on Ms. Liberty and US. Patriot. A further showdown now inevitable. Thunder and Overkill beat New Order by DQ in a match with Massif as the ref. DEIMOS PERENNIAL rematch. Massif brought in to stop this going out of control again. The Gladiators are angry that New Order is getting a tag title shot and they’re not. Thunder says they will just crush them again and then the corrupt GWF championship committee won’t be able to deny them to be next in line. He suggests if Aethra feels there is unfairness and favoritism towards WAR it’s military might even do something about it. That will cause some anxiety on a political level. Anyway it looks like that fighting talk isn’t about to backed up inside the ring. New Order is mostly in control and on the brink of a famous victory. The only annoyance was Massif was getting very fussy about the rules. Often restraining anyone from leaving the ring or going to the top rope. His heavy handedness made everyone frustrated. None more so than Mace who has a short fuse anyway. He was desperate to follow up Dreggs’s TWIST AND SHOUT move on Thunder with a deathjump. When Massif manhandles him down Mace starts shoving and yelling at him. The shoving gets out of hand and Massif pummels Mace. To make matters worse Massif also disqualified New Order. It’s a big blow for them. The Gladiators got away with one there. Destructon 3000 doesn’t want any lingering resentment and seeks to clear the air with Massif. Everything, at least on the surface, appears to be calm as he apologies on behalf of Mace. Max Shield and Archon take down Mandrill and Blazing Skull. Star studded match with Mandrill and Max getting their feet wet in tag team action. It says something about the quality of the card that this is third match on the bill. In most galaxies this would be main event material. But sometimes big names don’t always guarantee a great match. There was too much verbal jousting and it took a long time to get going. Archon and Blazing Skull have a very even battle with failed finishers on both sides. Then Max and Mandrill takes centre stage. Max has the measure of Mandrill and is able to finish it off via MAXIMUM IMPACT. Maleph’s attempts to help falling flat. Maybe Mandrill should of opted for Sentry at ringside over him. Normally a defeat like this would have Mandrill hot and bothered and needing to lash out or blame someone. This time he walks calmly away. His mind on far more important matters, namely the Heavyweight championship. In a fortnight he could finally be in possession of it.
Terminus and Janus embarrassed the Mercenaries. To earn a shot at Transevolver’s CPC tag belts at Pelf Palace the Mercenaries have to win this by pin or submission. They come up woefully short. Terminus totally outclassed Soldier of Fortune and pinned him with HAMMERLOCK SLAM. It was only the 5th move of the match. That’s how quick it was. Thantos calls his men down and then points at Krakan. These two have never really liked each other. He shouts out “let that be a message to you. Do not f**k with the big boys”. Jack of Diamonds pins Gila. Mind games from Mad Jester disturbing Jack. He may not be allowed at GWF venues but somehow still manages to beam his unique laugh out over the tannoys interrupting Jack’s introduction. Jack looks around uncomfortably until Exo-King slaps him heavily on the back and tells him to snap out of it. Mind is back on the match but maybe not entirely because Jack takes an age to get it won. He used BLACK DIAMOND to do it but it was a rougher ride than anyone expected.

Card 871 – Pelf Palace:
(First bite is with the eye and this is where CPC wins. The Palace has staged wrestling cards before but it is even more opulent than ever. It passes it’s inspections with flying colours. Having been previously reported there would only be a few matches booked, as few as 4 as CPC aims for quality over quantity, it comes as a surprise when the bill lists 8 matches. Usually the GWF books 6 on its regular shows. There are also already belts being defended to ramp up the ratings. The surprise twists just keep on coming. Johnny Rocket isn’t happy as the predicted shot at the CPC tag belts for X-Termination doesn’t happen after the Mercenaries had failed to secure it. The request never even made it across the desk of Commissioner Guile. CPC pushed ahead with the plan to run Transevolver-Mercenaries but made it non-title. Nobody who wrestled was out of pocket with even the GWF stars receiving huge sums to appear. All to try and turn their heads) INTRO … Qualitar: "Welcome everybody to the first ever card from the grand surroundings of Pelf Palace. I must admit it certainly is the best venue in the galaxy. Gosh, I've never been so comfortable in the broadcasters booth with these padded silk seats. What about you Exo-King?" … Exo-King: "Well it certainly is nice and almost as good as my own throne room but can Colby and Pelf match it with good wrestling entertainment? I very much doubt it, they’re too scared to put all of their so called CPC titles on the line and as a result a lot of the top GWF stars have stayed away. The CPC press room has announced that the Champions of the Galaxy have refused to face the Penthouse Suite in the main event which leaves it in jeopardy although rumours are floating around that Chaos is present tonight at the Pelf Palace. Although I heard that in reality the CPC are the ones responsible for switching the match and not the Champions. They didn’t want to risk their guys appearing in multiple matches and make them more vulnerable to defeat. Still it's not good for wrestling whatever way you look at it?" … Qualitar: "Nope, it's a very bad situation for wrestling with this power struggle. I'm sure after tonight we'll see that GWF promotions are still far superior. However I do have to correct you on one thing Exo-King, there will be at least one title on the line tonight that a GWF wrestler could win. Prodigy will still be defending his CPC Cruiserweight title against Karah as part of the double main event. The other main event will see Matador and Janus contest the Heavyweight title." … Exo-King: "Well maybe we are being too harsh on the CPC then. They are at least prepared to give some GWF wrestlers a fair shot at their titles." … Qualitar: "Ahem, well that's where you're wrong again because Commisioner Guile has insisted that Karah appear at ringside alone while Prodigy will be accompanied by Thantos. The odds are heavily stacked against Karah it would seem and that's just how the CPC wants it." … Exo-King: "Bah, typical isn't it. I don't think anyone will ever win a CPC title while that Bucktoothed Guile is the Commissioner." … Qualitar: "I have to agree. It's a ludicrous situation with Guile as the Commissioner when in fact he answers to Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf. What happened to honesty?" … Exo-King: "Oh I think that died a long time ago. Only a select few nowadays are true men of nobility. We’ll see just how fair Guile really is tonight because right now in front of the camera's I am saying that, later on, I will find Commissioner Guile and on behalf of my son Jack of Diamonds challenge the CPC champion Matador or Janus, whoever it may be by the end of the night, to a title bout. The true colour of the CPC will then be revealed." … Qualitar: "Okay Exo-King we will look forward to it later on but for now we are looking forward to the first match of the evening between Splatter and Mayhem. One of the most hardcore battles you could ever dream up. Let’s get to ringside." Janus bested Matador to become CPC Heavyweight champ. Here come the golden boys of the CPC. Contesting what is currently forbidden fruit for the GWF roster. The precious commodity that is the Heavyweight belt. Even though they are on the same team it is clear both guys don’t like each other too much and have a big rivalry. After a bloated, long winded introduction that not only named the combatants but listed all their achievements things finally commence. The CPC belt is carefully placed into the care of an official atop a beautiful silk cushion. Initially Matador is really playing his gimmick to entertain (probably on instruction from Colby and Pelf). Everytime Janus makes a grab or movement towards he sidesteps in true Matador fashion. Then waves a red hanky to rub it in. It is like the red rag to a bull as Janus sprints at him one last time but just ends up eating a face full of turnbuckle. Thantos claps at ringside but then shouts instruction to Janus. Sharing his fountain of knowledge between both guys. Guess he can afford to be relaxed, he cannot lose. The pair of them are very evenly matched, both brimming with talent but after all the early showmanship it’s clear that tonight the edge is with Janus. He manages to finally get a hold of Matador and dictates most of the match. Unlike previous title matches before the CPC became an official entity there are no restrictions on leaving the ring but neither guy does anything too heinous warranting referee intervention. With Matador looking vulnerable Thantos shows there is no favouritism towards his stars as he instructs Janus to go for GORDION KNOT. Janus obliges and there is no escaping for the Matador. A big thing is made of the title being handed over and Matador is made to watch the whole process. In the VIP gallery Colby and Pelf have demanded everyone stands to respectfully acknowledge their new champion. There’s no doubt it was a great match but how long can the CPC keep up a barrier against the GWF challenging for it? Surely Colby and Pelf know that there is zero chance of credibility if they don’t open it up to all. The next challenger has got to come from outside the CPC.
Given the controversy and efforts the CPC had gone to at the end of last year to ensure the Matador was their starting champion it was interesting that the belt had been allowed to transition so easily to Janus. It had become very clear that the Matador was Colby and Pelf’s favourite. But maybe now the CPC has become its own organisation things are different. The new priority being to make sure belts stay on their guys but not mattering which ones. For what it’s worth the Matador has said he plans to try and win back the belt as soon as possible. Deep down he doesn’t like not being the top guy. But not being CPC champion does free him up to go after the GWF Heavyweight belt which is, at least for now, the bigger prize. CPC Cruiserweight champ, Prodigy, easily retains against Karah. Lots of interest here as the Cruiserweight title is something the GWF does not endorse themselves. CPC has one up on them in this respect. Fans clamouring for it to be introduced by the GWF have been reminded that the ladies belt is far more important to the fed than having another men’s title. Not going down too well. Anyway the odds are mega stacked against Karah. Mollock considered too primitive and dangerous to be at Pelf Palace and is banned for the show. It really was a case of two onto one as Prodigy and Thantos approached the lone Karah in the ring. Could Karah overcome this gargantuan challenge and win the belt? Prodigy isn’t shy about the trash talk. He’s even more arrogant than ever if that’s possible. Jibes like “where’s that oversized mutt, doggy daycare?” and “your loincloth stinks” have the rich and famous in the crowd in stitches. Although laughter almost turns to shock. Karah starts really fast and flirts with an upset after a Karah Cartwheel Kick but in truth the follow up pin never even got past 1 count. It riles Prodigy and makes Karah pay with an awesome repertoire culminating in Cobra Grip. Prodigy kicks Karah out the ring. His talent level is such that he could even challenge for other singles best and not be just a Cruiserweight specialist. He proudly holds aloft his belt with Thantos flanking him as Karah is allowed to get away. Terak will be keen to get Karah back to the Savage Kingdom after this. He knows he needs to invest time in him but remains convinced this is still a signing that will reap great reward in the future. He will also want to try and regroup his whole team who suffer two losses on a bad night. Later in the evening Prodigy gets the social media bug and posts a picture of the Cruiserweight belt sitting atop the handlebars of his bike with the caption ‘priceless’ followed by a second one of him wearing one half of the GWF tag belts from a few months ago with the caption ‘junk’. Terminus defeated Chaos in a first ever Zero Gravity Platform match. CPC Interstellar belt was not on the line. What had started off as a billed bout between the entire Penthouse Suite and the Champions of the Galaxy in the main event had now turned into a bout pitting Terminus against Chaos. A great match in itself but rather a shadow of the match everyone had been expecting before the night begun. Although the fact it would be the first of its kind Zero Gravity Platform was intriguing. The CPC said it was the Champions who pulled out but in reality it was all down to the tinkering of Commissioner Guile who still thinks Chaos is the big fish and beating him would mean more. Colby and Pelf had also decided asking its top stars to wrestle title matches and then compete in a tag match was too risky and wanted the plan changed. Star Warrior is not impressed with being messed about but says “we will wait for our chance to send the CPC down the plughole. They cannot sidestep us forever. Especially if they want to contend for GWF belts”. Anyway enough wondering about what might of been. This was still huge and victory for Terminus would represent a significant feather in the cap of the CPC. Would assume he’d had plenty of practice with this new match and in the techniques used to get back to the platform when dealing with the weightlessness. Chaos spends a lot of time looking over the ropes trying to suss things out and work out his tactics. But he only gets so long before Terminus is upon him. Dragging him into the action. It’s pretty good stuff. Chaos takes an early control but in a spectacular move showing how well practised he is Terminus is adrift from the ring but grabs the top rope. He propels himself back in the ring and in process downs Chaos with a flying clothesline. It has Colby and Pelf on their feet clapping. But the ovation is short lived as Chaos grabbed BOW OF DEFEAT in retaliation and this time Terminus had a tougher time getting back reaching the ring but having his fingers stepped on causing him to drift back for a close three count. Terminus fights back well and has Chaos in trouble as he dodges a turnbuckle charge and sends him outside. We have a long spot where Chaos receives numerous five counts as Terminus keeps stopping him from entering the ring but eventually he got back. It’s very clear that this is going to go a while. Lots of the same continuing for the next few minutes. Terminus came close to losing with a 4 count but pulled the same stunt as earlier to get back in the match. Just when the commentary team are beginning to wonder if there might be a time limit on things Terminus manages to use Aran Power Drop and dump Chaos outside. Uses the foot stamping trick to stop Chaos coming back. The final stomp sees Chaos float dangerously far from safety and he hasn’t got the flexibility to get back. As the count reaches 5 making a final desperate reach with his fingers. He must have been a millimetre away but tantalisingly misses and drifts away. The dignified usual silence within the VIP gallery broken as Sonora Pelf loses composure and shrieks with joy at seeing Chaos beaten on their turf. It could of gone either way such as is the nature of the match but things could not of gone any better for them to of gotten this result. All they need is Prodigy to successfully defend the Cruiserweight belt in the next match and it will be an ultra successful night. Transevolver shoot down the Mercenaries in a non-title Titan Death match. The CPC tag belts being on the line had been dependent on the Mercenaries beating Terminus and Janus in the last match. But they blew it big time. However the planned meeting with Transevolver still goes ahead. Just in a non-title capacity but with the Titan Death match stipulation at least we’d have an assured outright winner. So far the beefed up Dreadnaught has not been working out which hasn’t made Transevolver look too good but with the Mercenaries low on confidence there’s no better time to face them. One interesting observation is that Soldier of Fortune may also be showing some side effects of Doomsayer’s past experimentations. Not on the same levels as Dreadnaught but he is a step slower and showing early signs of baldness. Could hair loss be another problem to expect from being transevolved or is he just unlucky? Anyhow Soldier of Fortune has more than just a bad hair day as the Mercenaries slump to defeat again. Transevolver has finally got their sh*t together and show the kind of stuff expected of them. Dreadnaught survives some tough offence from Vigilante and shines against old adversary Soldier of Fortune. Tees him up perfectly for Monad to come in and lock QUADRUPLE CLAMP on. The pressure on Soldier of Fortune’s bones in multiple places is too much to take and he weakly submits. That’s not all though as Monad keeps it locked in. Dreadnaught is the ringleader urging his partner not to let go. Vigilante comes to his partner’s aid and holds up a gun towards Monad demanding a release. He warns that it is loaded. Dreadnaught doesn’t believe him but Vigilante warns maybe it’s a risk they don’t want to take. CPC security now surrounds the ring. Some are armed. Their guns pointed at Vigilante whilst his remains trained on Monad. It’s a stand off and nobody wants to blink first. Certainly makes for drama and the CPC dignitaries are enjoying the show. They feel quite safe some 30 feet away from all this but those in the crowd don’t. Eventually Monad does the sensible things and releases. Soldier of Fortune slumps to the ground. Vigilante keeping his gun pointed with one hand drags his partner away from danger with the other. All the way down the runway and trying to get to the nearest teleportation point. The CPC security guys only relax their stance once he disappears from sight. It was silent at this point but that is broken by Magnus Colby jumping to his feet and shouting “bravo, what a show”. The Stormtroopers rapidly dispose of Hunter’s Moon. Probably won’t make these guys too popular among stringent GWF supporters that they have agreed to take their match into the Palace. Only Terak is with Hunter’s Moon after Mollock is denied entry to Pelf Palace. Vyper nearly suffered the same fate unless he left his pet snakes behind. As the only match not involving a CPC wrestler it’s interesting to observe Colby and Pelf’s reactions to it, they look bored to tears. It’s not much of a contest. Wildcat probably guilty of trying to do too much. Comes a cropper against Hammer and in no time at all is pinned after STORMTROOPER BLITZ. Cassandra is not happy with just winning and is egging her team on to do more. She wants her team in the headlines reasoning that bad publicity is better than no publicity. It’s also noticeable that she is continually glancing up to the VIP gallery trying to catch Colby’s eye. Maybe she is hoping to impress and get her team, or more likely just her, signed to a lucrative contract with them. In any event Terak is alert to her intentions and bravely throws himself across the stricken Wildcat. Vyper soon joins him after a hasty search around the ring revealed a lack of weapons but he was eventually able to arm himself with an empty wooden crate he managed to grab from under the ring. Powerhouse does keep coming forward. One hefty blow with the crate doesn’t stop him as appears to absorb it into his massive frame but he’s not the unstoppable force he may think he is as a second one has much greater effect. The pain felt in his chest convinces him it’s not worth going any further. The Stormtroopers are reluctantly forced to back off. At first Cassandra screams at them to be braver and comeback but then realises she’s been left alone with Hunter’s Moon and Terak. She now runs off after her men as quickly as her stilettos will allow.
The below features all matches relating to the controversially created Outcasts team. Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf had indicated during the press conferences that they may accompany them to ringside from time to time. It would certainly be logical for all 3 wrestlers have DQ finishers. On this occasion they stay firmly planted in their balcony seats and let them fend for themselves. Maybe Reynard B. Guile will also step in from time to time but he probably thinks as the Commissioner such roles are now beneath him.
Bishop Hell breaks down the stubborn defences of Dragonmaster. Bold stuff from Dragonmaster to take on Bishop Hell at Pelf Palace on his own. He is no spring chicken but he’s moving fast from start to finish. He wants to do well against Bishop Hell. Partly for himself but also partly for his old mate, Pulsar, whom he has become close with again. He took FLYING CROSS three times and even survived HELLFIRE during the course of the match. In between that punishment he was giving some solid offence of his own. Even forcing Bishop Hell to desperately bail outside after a Titan Drop but with 4 tokens on the board the next pin was too much for Dragonmaster to take and he was beaten. No disgrace in that though as he’d competed gamely. Bishop Hell may of won but he looked mighty ticked off and threatened to burn the referee. He hated that Dragonmaster had been able to kick out from his fireball finisher and made it look weak in front of all the VIPs. The accusation that a slow count had been administered. With the ref looking like he might wet his pants and Dragonmaster now up on his feet poised in a martial arts pose as if he might leap to his assistance Bishop Hell backs off. Gestures at Dragonmaster with an unpleasant hand signal and shouts “lucky you’re not Pulsar” and walks off. The poor ref gathers some composure and then looks up at the gallery towards Colby and Pelf with hands in a prayer position as if to say “I’m sorry I screwed up”.
Mad Jester humiliates Meteor. Jester is acting madder than ever. For his big CPC debut he paints his face half black and half white. One side represents his calmer Defender persona and the other deranged Jester. He stands in the ring turning back and forth and arguing openly with himself. Finally he puts both his hands round his own throat and wrestles himself to the ground. Crazy stuff but entertaining. This would be a big chance for Meteor to get the jump on him but he does nothing. One wonders if he is really cut out to be a wrestler. Okay he was the big underdog but he just ambled into the ring. Didn’t seem to care and was totally unprepared for Jester antics. Stood idly by watching the theatrics and let Jester come to his senses and start attacking him. It was just so feeble. Jester then has him beaten in just 6 moves. Amazingly one of these was A DEAD MAN’S VERSE, the ref didn’t dare call a DQ at Pelf Palace, but Meteor survived it. Not so much through intent but one of his feet snagged the ropes and Jester covered without realising. Didn’t matter, next comes Jagged Edge Standing Kick and that was it. Meteor doesn’t know where he is and Jester cannot resist having some extra fun. Takes out some marker pens and draws a comedy face on Meteor. Complete with silly nose and matching glasses he makes poor Meteor look ridiculous. Then smashes him across the back of the neck to bring him round a bit so he can walk Meteor around the ring so the crowd can get some close up photos of him. Mayhem defeated Splatter in one of the fastest ever matches. A hardcore enthusiasts dream. Not a bad way to officially open the first ever CPC card. Immediate dirty tactics on the part of Mayhem as he knocks down Splatter whilst he carefully places Arsenal into a corner of the ring for easy retrieval. The impact of which sends Splatter face first into the post. Krakan is laughing and hands Mayhem a hammer so he can attempt to drive a nail into one of Splatter’s legs. Splatter manages to kick him away but Mayhem tries again. Only for Splatter to move and the nail goes into the expensive canvas instead. Up in the VIP balcony Sonora Pelf almost feints to see this happen to the expensive ring. The referee looks up quizzically at them wondering whether to call a DQ. Colby, who is slightly more composed than his wife, shakes his head. He doesn’t want the first ever official CPC match ending so fast on a DQ. The ref nods and signals the bell for an official start. Trouble is what he didn’t see whilst he was looking up was Mayhem’s next heinous act was to get a hold of his chain, wrap it round his fist and lay Splatter out with a right handed. He went down like a ton of bricks. All the ref saw was Mayhem scooping Splatter up and administering a Gladiator Piledriver and then pinning him. Officially it’s over in one move, probably just shy of 10 seconds all told. Disastrous start in the first of three matches featuring wrestlers from the Outcasts team.

Card 872 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS – Luna Auditorium: (GWF slaves over preparations as it tries to surpass the CPC based show from the previous week. Maybe it could of done with a few special matches but it’s still pretty stacked with the two main belts being contested. It is interesting to note that none of the current champions have shown any hunger or desire to go after their CPC counterparts yet. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not. Maybe that’ll change if and when the CPC gets its hands on any GWF gold) Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, fends off Mandrill and retains the belt. Mandrill obnoxiously comes out first and rips the mic from the announcer. He declares that tonight “Colonizer domination begins”. He then gets a huge shock that causes him to drop the mic when Max Shield comes out with Pegasus instead of Star Warrior. Shouts out “you can’t do that. Send him away”. His demands fall flat considering Sentry is standing behind him with a loaded weapon. The referee informs Mandrill that the paperwork was ratified at GWF HQ. The contract allowed for someone to be at ringside. It didn’t actually specify that it had to be a manager. Pegasus hopes this element of surprise has unsettled Mandrill. He walks up to him and says “bet you didn’t think I’d have a surprise up my sleeve did you?” Mandrill pauses for a moment and then screws his nose before shouting “ditto” at which point Sentry blasts Max in the back from a point within the crowd. He then walks right through the Sentry in the ring. It’s nothing more than a holographic projection, Mandrill looks down at the immobilised Max and laughs “I knew your pathetic plan all along. Nothings going to stop me taking over the GWF. Now if you don’t mind I think it’s time we got on with the process of taking your belt from you”. The bell now rings and the hologram of Sentry fades. The real Sentry climbs over the barrier and takes his place at ringside. Pegasus looks shocked but he’s got to put the lack of a cornerman to the back of his mind and not get caught out by Sentry. It didn’t look great to begin. Mandrill really tries to press home the advantage before Pegasus settles down. Within a couple of minutes the crowd is holding its breath as Voltaic Stunner followed by COLONIZER CLAW SLAM forces a big kickout. Mandrill looks visibly irritated this big early attacking wave doesn’t end in glory. As if he knows the window of opportunity will be a brief one. A period of even grappling now takes place and there isn’t too much to split them. Only perhaps Pegasus’s greater agility becoming the difference. There are a few more big moves from both of them but no finishers forthcoming. A Pegasus Press Slam happens and it didn’t look like it would be a problem but the way Mandrill fell on the back of his head suddenly has Sentry worried. He wasn’t prepared as Pegasus covers. Needs a chance to be discreet and to be honest Sentry isn’t to adept with his stun gun as we’ve seen in previous matches. Watching him trying to operate it sometimes is akin to watching a monkey on roller skates. He doesn’t even get the thing charged up in time. The pin has long since happened when Sentry gets the thing primed and even then the blast surprises him and goes up into the rafters. Calamitous. Pegasus keeps hold of the belt but we all wonder how much longer can he stave off Mandrill. It was the first really big push and there will be more to come. The effects of the stun blast are still lingering on Max Shield by the end. Pegasus is quick to cover him in a protective pose should Mandrill or Sentry try and do more damage to him. Fortunately they show no interest and leave. Max is a bit wobbly on his legs but pats Pegasus appreciatively on the chest and acknowledges the crowd support for him. They both let Mandrill and Sentry get clear of the runway and leave together. Maybe a bit of friendship here where they can count on each other in the future for support. New Order beat the Ninja Assassins to win the tag belts again at long last. The GWF championship committee says the Titan teams haven’t quite done enough to earn the shot everyone was expecting. New Order’s reward for their surge in form is a chance for them to win the belts instead. They are not about to blow this opportunity and have maxed out in their training preparations. Needing to be at their best and in peak physical condition to live with the Ninja Assassins. The only thing that might go in their favour is the Ninja Assassins have been having some exhaustive singles matches with Draconian Sheik recently. Darkos downplays any lingering effects and mocks New Order by calling them a couple of scummy cat burglars in reference to their climbing up into the ring to try and steal the titles. Mace’s response was “I’d rather be one of those than be a couple of wannabe ninjas who are so ugly they have have to hide behind masks”. To which Darkos retorts “enough idle chit chat. Time for my Ninjas to demonstrate their repertoire. Oh one last thing” and points to Destructon 3000 “switch that thing off or there’s no title match. I’m not risking my team with that buggy, unhinged robot lurking around”. The demand almost sends Mace over the edge. Dreggs has to hold him back “he wants a reaction buddy, don’t risk the DQ”. Reluctantly Destructon 3000 goes through the motions and calls Dreggs out to switch his inhibitor on. A close up camera showed it was on anyway. Perhaps now the match can get underway and when it does it’s great stuff between two really hot teams. Tag teaming of the finest order. Ebbs and flows with well drilled double teaming and great defensive tags. The biggest moment is when Dreggs performs a Running Lariat on Daeman but then nearly gets counted out when chasing the interfering Darkos off. He returns to the ring and tags Mace so they can unleash DECIMATION. Cuts off Hydrax and the crowd is on its feet expecting the title switch to happen. Incredible double 6 roll meant Daeman didn’t sell the move at all. A huge kickout. New Order doesn’t feel sorry for themselves and Dreggs is straight in there with TWIST AND SHOUT but this time Hydrax is there with the save. Daeman needs to get out of there though. His assisted escapes exhausted and on 5 tokens. Even a mere gust of wind might finish him now. Dreggs knows it’s now or never and goes for his singles finisher again. Daeman has got nothing left and the titles are surrendered. Incredible scenes as New Order hugs and then drop to their knees with the belts. Destructon 3000 manages to get a ringside official to switch his inhibitor off so he can guard against a revenge attack from the Ninja Assassins but in truth Daeman is no condition to do anything and both Darkos and Hydrax are in too much shock. The match had a big impact on social media with many fans raving about it on Spacebook. Niko from Triton said “amazing match. I’ve gone hoarse through screaming” and Ben from New York posted “I’m an ever present at the Luna Auditorium so I’ve seen plenty of live matches. I don’t recall seeing a better one than that. I was about a metre away from the moment Dreggs was chasing Darkos round the ring and put him half over the barrier. I leaned across to where Darkos was and got the best selfie ever”.
Wolf shows Malice who is the boss. Malice has been keeping a low profile. After incredible success in his debut year where he was going through opponent like a hot knife through butter the wheels have kind of come off recently. Suffering big losses at the hands of Raven and he has been up in front of senior ranking Aethran war chiefs over it. Even with all his training it must be daunting for someone so young. Especially when a meeting with Thakur is part of the inquisition. The outcome of which is unknown but you’d be too afraid to ask anyway. Anyway whatever went down has no effect on Malice’s demeanour. He’s as serious as they come. Even when Wolf emerges through the curtain to much fanfare and hits the ring at a million miles an hour. Wolf enjoyed being a part of the Genesis-Colonizer war but as is the norm with him got itchy feet long before the end of 2104. 2 years is a long time to keep Wolf on a team. Once free again it was probably no surprise to see him latch onto the WAR team. The chance to tear Gladiators apart on a regular basis too much to pass up. Any team would welcome Wolf with open arms and WAR was no exception. Even Mace, who can be distrustful with outsiders and difficult to get along with, is excited to have Wolf on the same team. The only thing Wolf has requested is not to be accompanied to ringside. He wants to fight alone. Where was I though, oh yes, Wolf charges the ring at somewhere near light speed. Malice stands his ground. Under the impetus both go almost barrel rolling and fall through the ropes. The match starts on the outside. Ringside officials already scattering in all directions. It takes a few minutes of back and forth before things really get going in earnest though. Wolf all of sudden going wild and putting 4 tokens on Malice in about a minute. One of these was from SAVAGE FACE CLAW where Malice astounded everybody with his strength to physically prise away Wolf’s claws from the sides of his cranium and force the hand away. Malice then mounts the start of a comeback but quickly comes unstuck as Wolf rolls outside. Nobody brawls better than Wolf and he gets himself straight back on level 3 offence. Maybe the toll of that earlier frenzied roll affected Malice. Wolf retains faith in his SAVAGE FACE CLAW and tries again. This time Malice hasn’t got the strength to force it off. He is in the hold far too long and sinks to a knee. A few seconds later he collapses onto one side. Wolf keeps it locked in hard and rolls Malice onto his back and pins him. Major win for Wolf and not forgetting WAR. Little did Destructon 3000 and WAR know but this would be the start of a great night for them. Malice takes a while to recover enough to leave. Shoots Wolf a glare as it to say ‘this isn’t the end of this’ and trudges away. The honeymoon period for Malice is over. Having looked like an unstoppable machine through most of 2104 he now has to try and somehow get out of this slump. Maybe Vengeance should get him up against a jobber next as a win, any kind of win is much needed for Malice.
The Mercenaries gain some revenge over Transevolver. Another rematch and another great match. This feud is really getting fleshed out as the teams know each other so well by now. It’s shaping up to be a big ongoing rivalry. GWF officials not about to let a repeat of what went on last time the two teams faced on CPC turf and frisk them all thoroughly confiscating all weapons. Several guns are removed even though they are marked ‘replica’. Both teams are just about to get it on after all these shenanigans when X-Termination led by Johnny Rocket walks the runway and stop short a few feet from the ring. The crowd doesn’t know whether to cheer or boo. Johnny takes control of the situation and commandeers a floating mic “we are here to formally challenge Transevolver for the CPC tag team belts. My last challenge sent on email went unheard. I’ll give benefit of the doubt that it went into Commissioner Guile’s junk folder. It probably has to work overtime filtering all the smut and alternative porn he is into. But there is no way this can ignored”. Then as quick as they arrived Johnny and X-Termination are gone. Leaving everyone to ponder what has been said. Doomsayer is quick to tell Dreadnaught and Monad to ignore what just happened and get on with ‘beating these over-the-hill deadbeats’. Soldier of Fortune shouts back “I’ll show you whose over the hill” and it’s all on. A big brawl to kick things off. Once things settle down the Mercenaries, led by Vigilante, manage to get on top. Performing much better away from Pelf Palace. Monad is dealt OPERATION: AMBUSH. Doomsayer wastes no time in trying to break the pin knowing how vulnerable Monad is when being pinned. The GWF officials don’t mess about in dealing with Doomsayer. In a move which will probably get the CPC moaning about favouritism Doomsayer is ejected from ringside as a result. Transevolver now all at sea without their brains. Soldier of Fortune stands and waits for Monad to pick himself up and takes him straight down again with a Running Lariat. Dreadnaught is oblivious to this as he is on the outside still arguing with officials over the expulsion of his manager. Monad cannot muster enough to get all four of his shoulders off the mat and is pinned. He is then unceremoniously kicked until he rolls out the ring. The Mercenaries stand court in the ring, probably less threatening without their guns, but it’s still a cool sight. Krakan comes up behind them smiling and places a hand on each of their shoulders, simply saying “this is our ring. No CPC scum allowed”. It’s probably the only time he has ever got a cheer from the crowd. Things continued to be dramatic long after the match had ended. The Mercenaries came under attack as they tried to leave the Luna Auditorium and head to an LA bar on nearby Earth to toast their victory. It was from behind so they didn’t get a look at their assailants but it left them both in need of some treatment for cuts and bruises. It was assumed Transevolver were behind the attack but Krakan has received intelligence it may even have been Rebel Empire and Sentry. His angered reaction is to place the blame on both teams and say retribution will be sought against all suspects.
Mayhem overcomes Vengeance in a finisher match. Much like his oldest enemy (Wolf) Mayhem loves being where the action is. On the Hitmen team he has the freedom to do more or less as he pleases. He is picking feuds aplenty with Wolf, Malice, Vengeance and Draconian Sheik all on his own ‘Hit list’. Buoyed by his destruction of Splatter at Pelf Palace he is now aiming really big. Tonight is the turn of the Gladiator big cheese Vengeance. From the doldrums to this in such a short time if he pulls of another massive victory. Vengeance, like most of the Gladiator team, has started the year quietly but now was the time to start showing Aethran dominance again and what better way to do it than against a traitor. He pulls off what might be a tactical masterstroke though. Knowing how desperate Mayhem is to get in the ring with him Vengeance demands it must be a finisher match. Mayhem doesn’t even think about it and agreed straight away. Considering how often the LEAP OF DOOM misses it’s mark maybe it gives an advantage to Vengeance. Mayhem doesn’t care about that and gives a third person appraisal of his approach (Krakan’s influence showing as he often speaks the same way), “Mayhem doesn’t care if he misses. He will just keep on doing it until the mark is hit. Once there is a connection there is no surviving”. After bold talk like that what is remarkable is Mayhem doesn’t actually use it once. Instead relying on DANGER ZONE to get the job done. Maybe Krakan is giving him much better tactical acumen? Vengeance never really knew what hit him from start to finish. Mayhem is suddenly energised with confidence and blew him away. There were a couple of kamikaze deathjump moments that allowed Vengeance to toss him off the turnbuckle. However it wasn’t damaging and Vengeance couldn’t capitalise. Mayhem screams out with another easy victory in the bag “did you see that Aethra? That’s your pathetic team leader right there in a heap. Mayhem is back and badder than ever”. You couldn’t argue with that. Any senior ranking Aethran minister will be worried about what they are seeing and perhaps thinking it might be useful to bring Mayhem back in. But many bridges have been burned and it might never happen. Mayhem’s next move is uncertain. Will he work through his chosen feuds or make a play for the Heavyweight belt? With the recent victories he would definitely now be among the top contenders and Krakan would love to manage a Heavyweight champion. Something he has never done. Even in Krakan’s wrestling days he couldn’t manage anything beyond a brief flirtation with the belt. That was way back in 2089 but it was one of those that didn’t make the record books because he wasn’t able to successfully defend and hold onto it. Painmaster beats Buck Steele/Genocide by DQ. A lot was made of the press conferences when Painmaster called Nefarus as slippery as a snake and admitted he wasn’t crazy about taking orders from him. However he is following them and ready to feud with Buck Steele. Having recently beaten Alpha Force another win here for Painmaster will send him rocketing up the rankings. Mandrill has already publicly laid out the plan for Colonizer domination which involves himself winning the Heavyweight belt, Rebel Empire the tag straps and Painmaster the Interplanetary title. Painmaster is mightily close to getting that chance already. He would be big favourite to win here but it all hinges on keeping Buck in his normal state and not invoking Genocide. So far nobody has sussed the best way to approach this problem in the 3 years since Buck arrived. The problem is always that to pin Buck you have to really hurt him but as soon as that happens there’s always a good chance the transformation might happen. Luckily Colonizer dogsbody Sentry is on standby and no doubt is under strict order to bring Genocide down if the change happens. Looks as if was going to end up being one of the most undramatic matches you’ll ever see involving Buck. Painmaster generally the better wrestler and wearing him down. Puts him in THE TORTURE RACK twice and no hint that we are going to see Genocide today. Painmaster gets cocky and did it again but with much more aggression. It was enough to tip the scales. Buck morphs in mid-air which is quite a sight. Painmaster collapses under the weight of Genocide. Immediately Sentry crouches ready to take a shot should Genocide start really battering Painmaster. However the situation never arises. Genocide’s achilles heel is the tendency get disqualified and he falls into that trap again. Wildly brawling outside the ring and not caring who gets in the way. Some worried officials actually urge Sentry to blast him but he doesn’t do it because the bell has already gone. Painmaster now scarpers and leaves Sentry, struggling with a sticking trigger, to take a beating from Genocide before he shrinks back into Buck. Realising what had happened Buck angrily slaps his forehead and gets out of there himself. Ideally Sentry needs some helping but his suit is cracked and Tocsin’s odours are creeping out so nobody ends up assisting.
Anaxis beats Ms. Liberty by DQ. For someone so inoffensive Ms. Liberty has a lot of hate being directed her way these days. Thrash probably isn’t finished with her and now Anaxis, at the behest of Heracles, is gunning for her. Anaxis calls Ms. Liberty tragic for being so devoted to a wimp and arrogantly thinks beating her will be a breeze. Especially after what she did to her husband in the previous match. In fact Ms. Liberty was so worried about him she had to be convinced to come out for this. When a helpful official tried to take her by the hand she pushed them way telling them to “butt out”. It needed the fatherly tones of Commander Sam to cajole her. He reassured her that Adam was fine and only needed a few stitches. The blood loss looked far worse than it really was. So Sam was with her all of the way which is more than could be said for Heracles. He didn’t care enough for Anaxis to be with her. His work for the evening done had now gone straight to his private chambers to be with his ‘other’ maidens. Anyway whatever Sam said to Ms. Liberty sparked something. She was super aggressive. Almost won in the opening minute after avoiding a turnbuckle charge. After that she pulverised Anaxis. Knocking her all over the ring but couldn’t turn that into a match winning pin. The way she was acting had her on the cusp of a DQ a few times. Sam managed to cover for her once but eventually the ref grows tired of it all. It was one smash into the ring steps too many. She may of lost the match but Commander Sam was suitably impressed with the fire in her belly. It was a great performance.
Heracles controversially defeats US. Patriot. Match begins at a snail’s pace. Lots of verbal jousting and horseplay predominantly on Heracles side. Heracles asks whether Adam knows where his wife is about now and then says everyone in Ancient Greece would be embarrassed to see what represents Earth in the far flung future. Calling Adam weak. Adam turns his back on him and looks to the floor. He seems to be counting to himself in a some kind of temper control technique. Heracles stands and laughs at the tepid reaction. Fans and officials alike urge the two inside to ramp it up. This is not what GWF diehards want as the first match following up the ultra successful CPC show last week. Maybe Adam got out of bed the wrong side as one fan yells from the front row “c’mon Adam. Do something” and he shoots them a frosty glance. Maybe Heracles being suggestive about his wife has awakened an inner possessiveness towards her. It takes Commander Sam to get him going. Bellowing “USA, USA” with everything he has seems to finally snap Adam out of it and he suddenly charges the grinning Heracles who was leaning lazily against the ropes. It’s what Heracles wanted. He calmly steps out the way and Adam flies over the top rope and out of sight from ref’s view who was stationed on the opposite side. Adam comes to a rest next to Anaxis and fans in that area gasp as she smashes her huge bowl in fragments over his head. The TV cameras don’t even pick it up. All we hear is the breaking sound. When the production crew finally gets a camera on it all we see is Adam writhing in agony with blood pouring down his face from a nasty head wound. He bravely continues but is no match for Heracles in this state. Heracles has it won in little more than a minute. A Heracles Power Clamp does the deed but in truth it was the breaking of the bowl that had been responsible. The ring by the end was a bloody mess. Adam can barely walk, feeling feint from blood loss. Commander Sam has to support him all the way to the back.

Latest News:
Already very clear that any CPC title matches against GWF stars will mostly always be stacked in favour of the CPC guy. Exo-King was furious when he saw this happening and confronted Commisioner Guile during the first official card at Pelf Palace. Issuing a challenge on behalf of his son, Jack, to face their Heavyweight champion, Janus. Guile’s decision was that Jack must beat Janus first in a non-title match and arrogantly said “don’t get too excited. Inferior GWF wrestlers won’t be able to beat superior CPC champions”. Rumour has it Exo-King was so incensed by Guile that he demanded the snivelling Commisioner show more respect to true royalty and bow before him instead of his employers and admit to corruption. When B. Guile squirmed under the questioning and refused he was punched in the stomach forcing him to bow. Exo-King is neither confirming or denying this. Whether his son, Jack, likes it or not he is now at the top of the CPC’s target list for revenge. He was already an enemy of Mad Jester but now becomes an enemy of all the Outcasts. But first he has to face Janus. This wasn’t the only big decision B. Guile had to make. Slightly less awkward but Johnny Rocket made a very public showing of challenging Transevolver on behalf of X-Termination. He is determined to steal the CPC tag belts as payback for them stealing Paragon from him. B. Guile couldn’t ignore it this time but still wasn’t very accommodating. The best Rocket managed to get out of him was the promise of a title shot if they could beat another CPC tag team first. Probably to be a combination of anyone from the Penthouse Suite.
Chaos fumes over his loss to Terminus at Pelf Palace. Calling the Zero Gravity Platform a ridiculous gimmick match. Invites Terminus to try and do it in a proper match at a GWF venue and adds “and don’t bother bringing that tinpot Interstellar belt with you. Got no interest in worthless belts. It’ll only end up in the trash”. So far no response has been received by the CPC, Penthouse Suite or even Terminus himself. Another guy raging by their loss on the same card is Splatter. He was totally embarrassed in going down to Mayhem in 1 move. Splatter had never been the complaining sort preferring to express himself with violence but he broke that trend when given some airtime on GWF programming the following week “that scumbag Mayhem jumped me from behind. A dirty Hitman trick. Well if that’s how he wants to play it fine. I won’t wallow in shame. Next time he comes to Pelf Palace, if he dares, then he better have eyes in the back of his head. I could be around any corner ready to strike. I don’t just get revenge you know. Noooo, it’s so much more than that”.
GWF resisting following the CPC suit of having a Cruiserweight champion. Grogan says they have no plans to throw belts around like confetti. He is still frustrating some of his close aides and also some of the experienced hero managers with his unwillingness to take the threat of Colby and Pelf seriously. The guy has a lot on his plate but needs to pay closer attention. The show this month from Pelf Palace was very successful and garnered the highest viewing figures. The venue was incredible, the wrestling action was great and the production of the whole thing was of the very highest quality. All this will not of been lost on the average wrestling fan. In fact the CPC is even considering having its own Heavy Metal belt too (a title long since retired by the GWF) with their own Splatter and Mad Jester to contest a match to decide the first champion. Will be keeping an eye out for this possibility.
The Masked Assassins are targeting the Titans big time. Not content with injuring Scion Nexus they have now sidelined Lord Nexus. Paying the Hitmen off to take him out right in front of his home crowd. The Mutant again does the dirty work. Amid all the problems with the CPC it seems Commisioner Grogan forgets to even take disciplinary action. But it could be that Lord Nexus, who is close to Grogan, may of had a word in his ear not to take action so his Titans can take care of business in the ring. As for the prognosis Lord Nexus assures fans he will be back at ringside in just a few weeks “I got a few knocks and in the first few days I was aching something rotten due to the bruising and couldn’t do a lot for myself. But it takes more than a few wild hits from Mutant to keep me down. I am feeling much better now and looking forward to taking the fight to the Masked Assassins and also the Hitmen”. There was some poetic justice as merely a couple of weeks later the Ninja Assassins dropped the tag belts to New Order. Long overdue success for New Order. Mixed feelings probably for the Titans as they may of been eyeing a title challenge for themselves should the Ninja Assassins stayed as the champs. But now the landscape has changed. However the Titans are above all that and are big enough to send their congratulations to New Order over social media.
Big news … Cannot keep a lid on this. Kronos is back! Will CPC guys dominate the event? Initially it was suggested that the far flung future of 3000 could be the focus again but in a poll asking fans what they would prefer to see the past came out tops with the year 2084 featuring highly. Maybe that stuff in 3000 was just too way out for some people and the whole leaked results was a put off. Of course we are never going to know apart from on Kronos what decisions are made. Only a select few are privy to that info but rest assured Colby and Pelf will be doing whatever they can to make sure it’s their guys making the trip, as the recognised cream of the current wrestling crop, to represent the modern era on Kronos. Some odds and sods to report on now … I have decided Splatter’s lottery attacks can now only take place at Pelf Palace. Officials are on such high alert to his presence that it is almost impossible for him to infiltrate an official GWF venue … It was a long time ago but Pulsar had fallen out with the CPC and received a ban from Pelf Palace. Not clear if it was a lifetime one but Commissioner Guile has addressed this by saying there are no longer any restrictions. So that paves the way for many more Pulsar-Bishop Hell matches. Makes sense. The CPC would of been fools not to cash in on this legendary feud … Triple T’s time as the Titan mascot is over before it had really begun. The UFSP flexes it’s muscles to step in and ban children from being at ringside. They criticise Lord Nexus for endangering a child with such a move. The injured Lord Nexus is taken aback and thinks someone within the organisation might have it in for the GWF with this petty move but respects their wishes (very early pre-cursor to THE END as the individual responsible for pushing this was actually Cordanus but officially this is only learned in later years) … Mandrill fumes as he comes up short in his quest for the Heavyweight belt and Colonizer domination. He is pretty narked with Sentry for messing up but remains 100% focused on winning the belt stating it will happen sooner rather than later … In a grand ceremony on Cetus Omega presented his son, Star Warrior, with the sacred feather from his headband. It is now a precious family heirloom to be passed down the generations. Signifying that Star Warrior is now head of the first family of the GWF. Star Warrior pledges to proudly wear it in his waistband and believes it will help protect him and his team. Hopefully it won’t become a target for thieves … The Mercenaries-Transevolver feud could be one of those spontaneous rivalries that develop into a long running feud. Their battles have been great and so far it’s very difficult to split them. However with rumours of an attack on the Mercenaries, not necessarily by Transevolver, by Rebel Empire instead means a plot twist. But why would Rebel Empire suddenly want to get involved? A possible developing story … Finally US. Patriot tries to draw a line under his silly feud with Heracles. Admitting he allowed Heracles to get inside his head, “the latest line from Heracles is he has a dirty little secret about my wife and how slutty she is supposed to be but I know it’s cr*p. Time to ignore it all. I have a duty to the FDF to focus on the feuds the team is in. There might be one more match in all this but it’s got to be the blow off”. INJURED – Lord Nexus (3), Vertigo (minor injury, 40); SUSPENDED – Manslaughter (2), Enigma (2)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: MAYHEM – incredible dominating victories over Splatter and Vengeance. Mayhem may finally of found his niche as a fully fledged member of the Hitmen.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: NEW ORDER – back to back awards. They have really raised their game to capture the belts. Maybe the rekindling of the feud with the Gladiators has galvanised them.

THE COLONIZERS LURE THE HITMEN INTO THE RING!
Since the revelation of Mandrill and Nefarus's plot to assume the villain leadership there has been a power struggle behind the scenes between Mandrill and Krakan. Mandrill lost momentum by failing to secure the Heavyweight belt on the last card and Krakan saw this as an opportunity to challenge his authority. Believing Mandrill has missed his chance and the other villain teams should now pledge to get behind his team instead. Declaring that they would immediately transition from independent status to villain once assurances were given. Krakan was probably testing the water more than anything. Looking for weakness. No way Mandrill was going to agree to that though. In fact his reaction was anything but weak and things got so heated that there was an apparent brawl between the Hitmen and Colonizer teams at the meeting on Scorpi. It has all led to signing a series of matches between the two teams including Hitman bouts between Rebel Empire and the Mercenaries (some of these to be settled away from the glare of the cameras). Of course this is exactly what Mandrill and Nefarus want, a chance to move Rebel Empire into contendership for the tag titles by beating the legendary Mercenaries in these Hitman matches. Krakan is now in danger of overloading his ageing tag stars as they are still embroiled in a bitter feud with Transevolver. Meanwhile Genesis are hoping to capitalize on the divided attentions of the Colonizers by signing to a lot of grudge matches against them to try and tire them out. At first Mandrill and Nefarus played into their hands by signing to face Max Shield and Buck Steele at Capella Star Gardens followed by a clash between Wraith and Vendetta using Falls Count Anywhere rules. But then they became wise to the plan when Max Shield pushed for even more matches. This is where the various existing villain alliances with managers have helped the Colonizers because they have been able to cover themselves by tricking Genesis into more matches and then getting the Masked Assassins, Brymstone Burning and the Rocket Men to cover them. This in turn causing the Genesis members to become overrun themselves. It should all culminate in a deadly match when Mandrill teams with Blazing Skull to face Archon and Max Shield inside the Torture Chamber at FESTIVAL OF FIRE in several weeks. One may disagree with their controversial methods but it has to be said that the planning of Mandrill and Nefarus has been absolutely amazing. They have answers to most situations. However the ultimate symbol of power, the Heavyweight belt, still eludes the Colonizers. Mandrill has to win to get the total respect of his peers. Otherwise he may find his power to be challenged on a frequent basis.
DARK MATCHES – Tethys Sports Center:
The Mercenaries defeat Rebel Empire in a Hitman match. Another chance to see the latest traitor, Vendetta, in action. So far he looks a force. Fancy moves is not his style at all. He is all power and brutality backed up by one mean look. The Mercenaries march to the ring wearing camouflage face paint. This is to signify they are at war. Vendetta is not alarmed by this. He wants to make a name for himself and test his strength against the ageing vet, Soldier of Fortune. Perhaps he should of given greater respect to Vigilante for he comes up against him mostly and gets out wrestled. Soon enough finding himself victim to OPERATION: AMBUSH. Nefarus then gets blocked off by Vigilante wielding his rifle. There were no confiscations this time. Soldier of Fortune is able to retrieve the bag and rip it open. It was just stuffed with feathers. The Mercenaries laugh as they scatter them all around the ring. Vigilante upsets young fans as he jokes that these were plucked from that lame mascot of the Savage Kingdom, Tucor. Suggesting that Mutant had caught and eaten the filthy bird. Nefarus was angry by the deception as he had been led to believe there was cash in the bag. Not that it mattered because Rebel Empire had failed to win. After two dominating victories since becoming a team this was a timely reminder that it won’t be easy to succeed in the GWF.
Wraith and Max Shield grab a win over the Ninja Assassins by DQ. In light of the recent news Darkos is happy to send the Ninja Assassins into this to cover the Colonizers. Recognising they need matches to get back among the elite and also to avenge the loss they already suffered against Max and Wraith back on #865. But the immediate loss of the tag belts still weighs heavy on the Ninja Assassins. They are not on the same page here. It’s many minutes before they get any decent offence going. That happens when Hydrax manages to take Max down with an outside sweep and applies Master’s Death Touch. Max breaks the hold and uncharacteristically rolls outside the ring for a timeout. The Ninja Assassins won’t let him but botch a double team move which ends with Hydrax colliding with the timekeeper’s table and making a huge mess. The unimpressed ref disqualified them and waves away the vehement protests of Darkos. Vyper stunned Malice. Unbelievable to be writing this but Malice plummets down the card and is in dire need of a win. A lesser light lined up to get him winning again. Vyper is the victim handpicked to take him on. He didn’t need much convincing. A big win against someone like Malice could be the making of him again. Becomes a long match and Malice gets visibly frustrated. Finding Vyper a very slippery customer indeed. Makes a big mistake when chucking Vyper into the ropes by dropping his head way too early. Gets caught in a sunset flip. Manages to kick out powerfully enough but totally unprepared for what comes next, VYPER’S SIDESHOW. Crowd erupts when it leads to the pin fall. As Vyper soaks up the win Malice tries to end it with unprovoked attack on Mollock. A desperate act to show how powerful he still is. Kicks Mollock in the midriff and goes for a body slam. But he cannot do it and gets pounded into the ground. Pulsar overcame Hammer via DQ. Pulsar trying to stay on the straight and narrow now he is fully fledged Titan again. Even though Lord Nexus will not be ringside to impose his high morals Pulsar promises not to use ACID RAIN tonight. Mostly because he doesn’t really consider Hammer to be a true villain. In his words “Hammer is a great wrestler who would do great if he was on a hero team. I just think he’s got in with a bad crowd”. He’ll probably want revise that assessment after Hammer bloodied his nose against the ring post during the match. Small consolation is it meant another one in the win column albeit only by DQ decision.
Mutant upsets Scion Nexus via count-out. Payback for hurting Lord Nexus starts now. Scion Nexus is as mild mannered as they come but he is hellbent on punishing Mutant. The way he starts showing he means business but when Krakan foils his likely pin after THE RISE AND FALL he starts to lose impetus. Mutant begins to drain him with relentless TEMPLE GRINDER moves. Whilst Scion resists temptation to submit he gets hurled from the ring after the third one. Falls awkwardly and cannot get back. Erebus beats Blade by count-out. Big test for Blade. The kid has balls. Archon offered to accompany him for support. Blade said this was something he wanted to do alone. Sadly he gets ravaged. Despite having no singles finisher on his card Erebus still has plenty of pin attempts. It ends on a count-out though as Blade takes a piledriver on the concrete floor. Several officials manage to usher Erebus and Maleph away so Blade can be treated. Ends up with a diagnosis of mild concussion from the impact.

Really great storyline there. Nefarus was always one of my favorites.

Cheers Rob. Yes I really like the Nefarus character. It's a great drawing and just captures his shady persona to a tee

DARK MATCHES – Tethys Sports Center:
Rebel Empire evens the score against the Mercenaries in Hitman matches. Speculation on what’s inside the bag this time. Krakan had suggested it was a contract to face the tag champions and be fast tracked to a title shot. Maybe trying gee his men up. Can’t see the GWF doing that on a dark show though and not even advertising the fact. Anyway whatever was in there must of been hot property. Both teams were desperate to get a hold of it. However this time it was Rebel Empire that came through. Nefarus virtually knocking out Soldier of Fortune with a series of brutal stomps on the back of his head. Then in a show of considerable power Vendetta shoulder charges the wooden pole. After a few attempts the bag unhooks itself and drops into the grateful arms of Nefarus. Vigilante asks them to wait until the Mercenaries leave before they open it up. Nefarus nods in agreement then takes a look at the contents. Looks pretty pleased judging by the smile and quickly ties it back up. All very mystical and everyone present left wondering what it was. One bold fan went onto the Colonizer Spacebook page after the show was over and asked but all they got back in capital letters was a ‘MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS’ response.
Overkill won against Wolf by count-out. No manager for Wolf, he likes being in control of his own destiny. Even though he is on the WAR team it is a very loose affiliation and Destructon 3000 is giving him loads of space. Wolf’s current plan is to go through and beat each Gladiator one by one. Having recently dismantled Malice the hope was that he could do the same to Overkill. But this guy is more powerful if that’s possible even though in singles matches he can sometimes be a fish out of water. Anyway it’s typical Wolf. Super exciting and fighting with intensity despite so much being against him. He had SAVAGE FACE CLAW locked in but Thrash came in and drove one of her shoulder pad spikes into his back. Wolf pleaded the ref not to DQ Overkill. He still believed he could win clean. Then a ref bump happens with Wolf well on top. He had the claw on again but this time Thrash picks up a chair and brings it down over Wolf’s head. Wolf is almost pinned there and then. Overkill sluggishly picks himself up and goes for TURNBUCKLE TRAP. Wolf survives but is seriously wilting after two separate violent assaults. Overkill can smell blood now. Delivers a ferocious Gladiator Piledriver and then dumps Wolf over the top rope. Thrash even got a few kicks in as Wolf struggled to pick himself up. He came close to making it back in the ring but time ran out.
X-Termination overcomes Buck Steele/Genocide and Max Shield. Car crash of a match. X-Termination couldn’t care less and show up drunk. Their priorities are the CPC tag belts and nothing else matters. Doesn’t help that Johnny Rocket has a similar attitude and isn’t even with them. He only agreed to the match to stay onside with the Colonizers but the outcome is of little interest what with their being bigger fish to fry. A few minutes in and METALHEAD MAULER awakens Genocide. Sleeze is so drunk he just laughs in Genocide’s face. Just when it seems Genocide is on the path to obliterating them he tags out to Max Shield and spends the rest of the bout pacing up and down the apron growling. Max looked like he had things under control and nearly pinned Grunge with MAXIMUM IMPACT but things can change so fast in wrestling. Barely a minute after that Grunge was the one winning the match after KILLER AIR GUITAR on Max.
Painmaster makes mincemeat of Mutant. Lots of preamble Krakan entices Mutant into the ring by throwing in a meaty bone which is then stripped bare in a few seconds. Krakan laughs and points to Painmaster and says “that’s what Mutant will do to you if not careful”. Sentry then approaches close to Krakan with his stun gun to which there is another laugh. Krakan holds his huge rifle up and warns “guess I’ve got the bigger gun. Shall we take a wager on whether it’s loaded or not?” With Sentry spooked and not doing much of anything Krakan is free to become the bane of Painmaster frequently spoiling his attempts to finish things. But Painmaster is persistent and does eventually get over the line with THE TORTURE RACK. Means he is looking in fine winning form as he approaches his shot at the IP title at the end of the month. Wraith embarrasses Blazing Skull. Amazing two move win from Wraith. Surprises Blazing Skull with a reverse superplex. In their anger Blazing Skull and Maleph are reported to of torched an area backstage just to make themselves feel better. Heavy fine is issued. No problem for Maleph. That’s what the Brymstonian Anarchy fund is there for. Mayhem against Wildcat ends double DQ. Sideshow sees Krakan and Mollock in a literal stand off. Neither moved a muscle with Krakan’s rifle trained on the beast the whole time. That was until the action spilled outside and they both piled in leading to the outcome. Mayhem not bothered by the result “I enjoyed that. Love a good brawl”.

Card 873 – Pelf Palace:
(The grandeur of the Palace returns but Johnny Rocket on his first assignment here is unimpressed “it doesn’t float my boat. Give me a claustrophobic, sweaty, traditional wrestling hall over this anyday”. CPC focuses mainly on it’s own guys but is hosting some GWF only matches but they are all promoted as undercard matches and only one of them gets broadcast. The other two are dark. Despite that the competitors are all still paid handsomely even though they are not on TV with Colby and Pelf being very accommodating and treating them like kings) Janus crushes Jack of Diamonds in a non-title match. First chance for anyone outside of the CPC to win their Heavyweight belt in many months but Jack has to win this first to actually secure the title shot. Exo-King joins his son at ringside. Looks sheepish. He is fully expecting to be ordered away especially after what had happened to Commander Sam in the match prior and looks as surprised as anyone when it doesn’t happen. Things look tense between himself and Thantos. They have a lot of history. In fact Exo-King blames Thantos for his recent health problems having been encouraged to experiment in the code breaking days with the robotic implants that have now ravaged his body. He’d probably love nothing more than to put DEATH VISE on him but knows he will be expelled from ringside if he does. All he can do is offer encouragement to Jack. But that’s nowhere near enough. Janus is all over Jack and I don’t think rolled on defence once. Goes through his move set and casually applied GORDION KNOT to finish it off just shy of 5 minutes. Exo-King resists temptation to rush the ring. Janus had wrestled by the book and just proven his superiority. Maybe the occasion got to Jack. Thantos cannot help but have the last word and suggests both Exo-King and Jack pack it in and start a solitaire club “because after that performance there is no way the CPC will want you when it becomes the premier wrestling fed of the cosmos”. CPC Interstellar champ, Terminus, lost to US. Patriot by DQ. Adam starts as if he has stage fright. Given his experience it’s strange but there is a lot of pressure on GWF wrestlers from the fans to show these CPC guys up that it can get to the best of them. Commander Sam tries to get him going to which Thantos says “shut up old man”. Sam retorts “maybe I’d better give you SAM’S ATOMIC DROP for old times sake” and approaches his old rival. But before he gets within a few paces several CPC security manhandle him away. The announcer then declares “at the request of Sonora Pelf we are removing Sam from ringside for excessive noise and threatening behaviour. This is not what CPC wishes to promote”. Sam doesn’t go quietly though. He takes a couple guys down before more wade in and he is overpowered. Adam looks a bit shocked in the ring at all this but then grits his teeth and vows to win this for Sam. He rocks Terminus with a show of real spirit. Impacting several minutes in with Running Rocket Shot and then following up with ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. Thantos whistles to the back before Adam has a chance to follow up with a pin attempt. The Outcasts all flood the ring attacking Adam. Splatter holds Adam up for HELLFIRE whilst Jester then starts stomping on his head. They then try to place Terminus on Adam for a pin. The referee doesn’t comply with the count and disqualifies Terminus. Is this sort of gang interference how it’s going to be every time a CPC title gets threatened? Adam was lucky not to of sustained greater damage after this assault. Looks like the Outcasts were under instruction to stop the title changing hands but not dish out major injury as it could bring shame on the CPC if they go too far. Bishop Hell and Mad Jester derail X-Termination after claims of refereeing bias. X-Termination has to win by pin or submission to earn a shot at the CPC tag belts. Suggestions that one of Magnus Colby or Sonora Pelf might be at ringside to pilot the Outsiders duo prove unfounded. They are both sat within the luxurious VIP gallery again with no interest in getting their hands dirty. Johnny Rocket leaves his commentary position to pilot his team. Immediately comes into conflict as his microphone is confiscated by CPC officials. Many complaints over damage to ear drums from his loud talking being cited as the reason. The Outsiders duo goes onto win handsomely. Mad Jester getting away with A DEAD MAN’S VERSE. Naturally Johnny Rocket unhappy and shouting to try and make himself heard. Am sure referees are under pressure not to DQ CPC guys at pelf Palace but that was so blatantly overlooked. Splatter handles Mutant. Splatter desperately needs to impress after his disastrous 1 move defeat to Mayhem last time at the Palace. Krakan has been laying the boot in ever since and bragging it shows how ditching him in favour of Mayhem was the best decision he’s ever made. Lots of stuff going on before the two are unleashed. Krakan is parading around and scaring people with his large rifle. Asking some high society rollers it they fancy playing Russian roulette with it. He’s certainly giving the CPC officials plenty of ‘ammo’ to expel him. Sonora Pelf and Magnus Colby watch from the balcony in disgust but no order is forthcoming. The match itself was typically chaotic. Splatter gets away with murder and must of thrown Mutant out of the ring about 5 times in a row. Mutant just kept coming back for more. It’s as if it thought Splatter might have some food or something. It took a Flying Elbow Drop from Splatter to put it down for good. Match taken care of Splatter now looks to Krakan. He picks up Arsenal and pats it as if to insinuate “this will soon be your fate”. The Centaurians beat the Upstart Punks by DQ. The Punks are putting themselves in the shop window to the CPC. Hoping that will officially include them as part of their roster if they perform well. At the moment they are only being hired part-time or to be more accurate as and when needed with no guarantees. On the other side Talisman finally gets into tag action. He is the current IP champion so has been singles focused and not too interested in getting this team going. His role on the team still a little unclear and still trying to find his feet. He and Archon are kind of co leading at the moment. It was interesting to see Blade again. His spirit not dampened by a recent loss to Erebus. Displaying his tricks with the switchblades. The high society crowd didn’t seem too impressed though. Quickly apparent the GWF fans are much easier please. As it happens neither team really impresses. Talisman has a tense moment when the Punks perform PROPULSION PILEDRIVER. The Centaurians recover from that scare and Blade soon has Romulus reeling but despite levelling him with SWITCHBLADE KICK fails to pin him. From this point the match heads disappointingly towards a DQ outcome in favour of the Centaurians. Mandrill pummels Wildcat. Wildcat remembers all too well how Mandrill had treated his team mate Karah approximately a month ago. Now he aimed to try and make the Prime Colonizer pay. And unlike Karah he had not only the hulking figure of Mollock at ringside with him but also Terak. The CPC allowed it to happen figuring it would make things entertaining. It meant Terak could hopefully to prevent the stun gun shots from Sentry and at least give Wildcat a fighting chance. But then comes a sudden change in stance. Mollock seems to frighten some of the rich and famous in the front row. They complain about its presence. Despite his monstrous size Mollock wouldn’t hurt a fly unless provoked but they don’t seem to understand this. A message is conveyed upstairs to Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf. Within moments Commissioner Guile strides up the runway full of his own importance and beckons the ref. Next thing we know we have the ref controversially telling Terak to remove Mollock or Wildcat will be disqualified. Wildcat tries to make light of all this and goes at Mandrill with gusto. Lots and lots of fast attacks but not really doing much damage. Mandrill just bides his time and once he is able to takeover there is very little stopping him. His notorious Voltaic Stunner does for Wildcat. Mandrill leaves an impression at Pelf Palace again. Colby and Pelf will be aware of his threat should he decide to go after their titles. At the moment the interest isn’t there because Mandrill is obsessed with making himself look strong in the GWF but that may not be the case forever. DARK MATCHES Max Shield takes no time in beating Dynamo. Max not interested in being pampered by the CPC. Refusing gifts and insisting he is paid the same rate as in the GWF. He said earlier in the week “I know they are trying to butter some of us up but I’m not interested. I am loyal to the GWF. The only reason I am competing here is for maintaining my ranking and the fact that technically it is still a GWF show. That’s what Grogan is telling us”. Dynamo calls Max a mug for turning down free money. Showing what a toe rag he is by using his extra dough to buy out a homeless shelter on Alpha Centauri and turn it into a new posers gym. As a man who has great concern for others especially the persecuted hearing this tale makes Max fume. He waits for Dynamo to start showboating and kiss the biceps and then attacks him whilst vulnerable. Maxine Babe had seemed more interested in catching somebody’s eye among the rich and famous but now screams. She doesn’t want her meal ticket getting beat on. Unfortunately Dynamo never recovers. He just about managed to survive MAXIMUM IMPACT but a 360 neckbreaker then finished him off. Since receiving and failing in his IP title shot Dynamo has dropped off. His feud against Scourge had made him look better than he is but now in mixing it with the big boys his true level is being exposed. Wraith sends Brainstorm tumbling to a count-out loss. Brainstorm is about as hot as a rock on Pluto. Cannot remember when he last won a match and he’s not being shown much love by his manager, Johnny Rocket, these days. Although that doesn’t stop him bragging about how he is too intelligent to lose to someone like Wraith, “he must be thick as a plank if he thinks he can trick me with that invisibility nonsense”. Darla strokes his deluded ego by jumping up and down and excitedly yelling “you’re the greatest Brainstorm”. Then launches into some dumb cheerleader routine, ‘give me a B … give me an R …’ etc etc and finishing with a big ‘goooooo Brainstorm’. It must be said the optimism is misplaced as Wraith is one of the hottest guys around at the moment. Wraith actually makes the referee jump as he appears from nowhere right in front of him. Had he been standing there watching all this nonsense all along? He soon gets about the business of beating Brainstorm. Considering the rotten start Brainstorm makes he actually survives a lot longer than expected. Even withstanding SUDDEN DEATH but he offered very little back. In the end he voluntarily takes defeat by taking a walk. Wraith’s invisibility moves making him agitated and not wanting to be in the ring any longer with a guy who uses cheap illusions to get an advantage.
