Imagine if someone took what you loved about the late 70’s territories, the All Japan style of the 90s, with a bit a modern Indy’s and New Japan, maybe even a little Game of Thrones thrown in, and you have the new organization: Bandit Dragon Wrestling.
BDW offers warriors and competitors a unique journey along their Dragon Road. Made up of five different territories or regions, the Northern, Western, Southern, Eastern Highways, and the Crossroads, these regions will host a wide array of competitors, some overlapping in multiple areas, others unique to each region.
The first season will see 27 Fight Cards through out the year. The first, from the Crossroads Territory in Chicago, IL and then, we begin the Northern Highway Tour in Cleveland, OH. Throughout the season we’ll tour all 5 regions of BDW to crown the five Highway Champions. Eventually we’ll find our first Twin Roads Champions in both men and women’s divisions. Then, the Queen’s Road Champion will be decided. And, finally, in December, at the final card of the year, we’ll seek to crown the first King’s Road Champion when all five Highway Champions wage war to become King!
There are plans for other titles and special tournaments, but one step at a time.
Our first season will focus on other matters as well... After all, not every fight is for the crown...
The Council of 5. Each Councillor is responsible for maintaining order on their respective Highways. They’ll bring in the warriors, set the contests, settle feuds… Deal out consequences. Each Councilor is granted a vote on the Council in matters that affect the King’s Road. Each has one Royal Favor to use to make a solo ruling that cannot be overturned.
Your BDW King’s Road Council of Five are: Northern - Mike Quackenbush Western - Dave Marquez Southern - Jim Cornette Eastern - Steve Corino Crossroads - DJ Hyde
These five men will battle for control of the Dragon Road, but will the competitors play ball?
And of course… We’re all beholden to the mysterious Masked Man… He holds the key to the Dragon Road… Or claims he does. Could he be a pawn for a larger power? Or is the masked man our de facto Emperor in BDW?
The Highways and Crossroads are open... The Journey is about to begin. The Legendary Dragon Road is waiting to be tamed and conquered... But only a future legend equal to the tasks ahead will stand a chance. With victory comes survival, glory, and a kingdom!

A truly creative concept and I'm really looking forward to watching these stories unfold... After all, don't we all really want to know... Who IS the masked man?

BDW Presents: The Journey Begins 02.27.2016 from Chicago, IL
- Show Opening - (A voiceover accompanied by images of ancient ancient warriors fighting... Gladiators, Knights, Samurai, Visigoths, Aztecs... An open battlefield at the center of a crossroads... Four highways intersecting... A dark shadow... Fire... A dragon circles down, chasing it's own tail, a whirlwind surrounding the warriors...
What follows are images of wrestlers and championship belts... )
The King's Road... Highways, Crossroads. Intersecting, twisting back around and on itself, the Dragon scorching it's own tail... Relentless... Unbroken, unbowed, breathing fire even in the face of defeat.
Many will come to walk the road, few will have what it takes, and fewer still will approach the King's Road! It will take future legends to unlock the mythical Dragon Road.
Until then, competitors will journey the Highways, fighting for respect, for honor, for survival. Secrets wait to be discovered. Victories to be had. Wars to be waged. And battles to be won.
Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to Bandit Dragon Wrestling! We are emanating from the Crossroads of Chicago! Tonight we will bring to you some of the best wrestling action on the planet! And introduce you to our unique corner of the universe... It is time! It is TIME... For the Journey... Begins!
(The arena is dimly lit, the Masked Man comes out at the top of the ramp and takes a seat behind a large desk. He is soon joined by Mike Quackenbush, Dave Marquez, Jim Cornette, Steve Corino, and DJ Hyde. It's an interesting gathering... The Masked Man pours wine into 6 chalices and raises one to the rest of the group. He then grabs a mic...)
MM: Let the Dragon Road open!
(They toast and drink... Music begins to play accented by the sounds of a roaring fire, they lights begin moving in swirling patterns of red and orange and yellow... After a moment, the lights settle and rise to illuminate a dark blue canvas mat surrounded by dark grey ring ropes and curtained in black with dark red accents: The BDW Ring. Two tables are ringside, one for the timekeeper and ring announcer, Gavin Loudspeaker, and the other for our commentary team, Excalibur and Kevin Kelly. They take us to the ring for our first match.)
Brothers of Funstruction vs. and Chuck Taylor, Jock Samson Jock Samson defeated Yabo the Clown with a power slam at 10:12 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: We get things started off with this contest between the Brothers of Funstruction and the Moonshinin Men of Appalachia.
Yabo and Jock started things off. Jock went for poke to the eye and Yabo immediately tagged out. Ruffo came in and stuffed popcorn in Jock's mouth and that set the tone...
They battled back and forth and at one point Chuck Taylor utilized a variety of moves to score a near fall on Ruffo.
Great tag work from Taylor and Samson established a line of dominance in the finishing stretch and Taylor hit a buckle bomb, quick tag to Samson, PILEDRIVER, but Ruffo breaks up the pin. Power slam from Samson and Yabo falls 1, 2, 3!
Ruffo attends to his "brother", pouring popcorn on his face and blowing a balloon...
Meanwhile, Taylor congratulates Samson on scoring the pin fall.
- Non-Wrestling Segment - A package airs spotlighting the Queen’s Road Championship. Images of Cheerleader Melissa, Saraya Knight, Havok, Dobson, Eagles, Martinez, Hayden, and others. In a land of warriors and future legends, there can be only one Queen!
Fred Yehi vs. TJ Perkins TJ Perkins defeated Fred Yehi with a Clutch Dagger at 27:48 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: What an incredible match. TJ Perkins and Fred Yehi left nothing in the back.
Perkins kicked it off into high gear with a kick that sent Yehi out of the ring and then Perkins came over the top rope sending him crashing to the guardrail!
The match continued in spectacular fashion and just when it looked like Perkins had it in the bag, Yehi made a monster comeback! He scored a near fall with an UZAMAKI SPECIAL out of no where!
Perkins was being dominated, but would rally back on a couple of occasions.
As the 30 minute time limit rapidly approached the action spilled outside and Yehi missed a dive!
Perkins capitalized in a big way and a leg capture power bomb gave him near fall.
Finally, within 90 seconds of the time limit, Perkins hit the Clutch Dagger to secure a hard fought win!
Spectacular action. These two definitely deserve a spot on the roster.
- Non-Wrestling Segment - TJ: And that’s… What Catch Point… Is all about!
(Yehi, clutching his mid-section accepts a handshake from his stable mate, Perkins.)
MM: Excellent work, gentlemen! That is indeed what the King’s Road is about. Seems our philosophies are somewhat similar… If I were you, I’d keep the word ‘Dragonfire’ in mind. In the meantime, good luck along the road...
MSEERIE vs. Kimber Bombs This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Wow. The women coming to Bandit Dragon Wrestling have come to work their asses off.
The Kimber Bombs are champions in other organizations and MSEERIE knows it's share of success as well.
Neither team wanted to budge. Von Eerie and MsChif looked strong as the spent portions of the match just dominating both Lee and Bomb.
Still, it was a contest and the Kimber Bombs bounced back to score some near falls that had the audience on their feet.
Towards the end frustration mounted and the action kept spilling to the outside. It almost ended in DQ a couple of times, but the ref allowed them a few liberties before getting it back inside.
Cherry Bomb looked to have Christina Von Eerie right where she wanted her, but time was getting short! The action spilled outside once again and they brawled into the crowd!
The bell rang... It's a Time Limit Draw!
Fantastic action. We'll definitely be seeing more of these four.
- Non-Wrestling Segment - (The crowd is standing for the four women in the last match, and they're not the only ones as the Council is on their feet as well.)
MM: Ladies, that was incredible. That is exactly what the Dragon Road wants to see from the women warriors in it's rings. The Queen's Road is of equal importance to the King's Road and we cannot wait to see what comes next... Each of you have earned your spot in the Twin Roads Queens Championship tournament with your display here. We all agree... Good luck.
Josh Alexander vs. Tracy Williams Josh Alexander defeated Tracy Williams with a TWISTING TOMBSTONE at 13:12 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: The action is kept rolling along with this great bout between Josh Alexander and Tracy Williams!
It really could've gone either way and their were multiple pin falls attempted by both, but in the end a sustained high impact offense was able to score Alexander and hard fought win.
Tim Donst vs. Ethan Page vs. Robert Anthony vs. Matt Cross This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Wow! All four competitors are destined to be standouts on the Dragon Road of the North.
The story here was Tim Donst's physical dominance, but inability to secure a pin fall.
Of course we can't discount the performances of Ethan Page, Robert Anthony, and Matt Cross. All three had their moments and it really was anybody's match.
Page and Anthony got into it about half way through and brawled in and out of the ring! The Battle of the Egos is in BDW!
Matt Cross showed a flash of brilliance towards the end using his superior aerial skills, but Ethan Page roared back and looked to have it when Donst began punishing All Ego big time.
Still he was unable to seal the deal and it wasn't one before Anthony and Cross joined the fray.
The action spilled outside and it was like deja vu as the bell rang and the time limit expired!
All four men keep going at it! The Masked Man makes his way out!
MM: Whoah! Whoa! That's enough! The match is over! I swear to you, if you keep it up, I'll have you all charged with assault! Spend the night in jail!
(They finally separate and give their attention to the masked man at his ringside desk.)
But don't worry, no don't worry... You'll have a chance soon enough. Because Donst, Cross, Anthony, Page... All four of you will be competing in the 16 man tournament to crown the Northern Highway Champion! May the best man win...
- Non-Wrestling Segment - (As we come back from commercial, Drew Galloway is taping his wrists in the locker room when the Masked Man approaches.)
MM: Drew Galloway. Can't tell you how pleased we are to have you here. I'm sure you have your eyes set on the King's Road?
GALLOWAY: I'd say I've got more than just my eyes set. There is only one obvious choice to be King around here-
MM: Well, there's one problem with that logic, Drew... No one is chosen around here. You have to take the things you want and the only way to do that, is win.
DG: Fine by me. I'll take on anyone, anytime, any road, whatever. I will continue proving I'm the best damn wrestler in the world.
(Jim Cornette, Councillor of the Southern Road comes on the scene)
CORNETTE: Funny I should find you guys here. You see, I've got someone on the Southern Road that would love to throw down with the great Drew Galloway.
DG: Is that right?
JC: Oh it is!
(The locker doors swing open and Lance Hoyt charges in. He immediately steps up and gets in Galloway's face. The Scot doesn't back down.)
MM: Well, well... Let's not waste this aggression... Get in the ring. We've got a match. Oh, and Jim... I'll expect you at the table with me and not ringside with your... Representative.
(Cornette stares innocently at the Masked Man as Galloway and Hoyt head to the ring...)
Lance Hoyt vs. Drew Galloway Drew Galloway defeated Lance Hoyt with a DOUBLE ARM DDT at 9:06 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Man, just two big athletic dudes beating the hell out of each other.
Hoyt took control early and was hitting hi impact slams and bombs that Galloway is probably unaccustomed to.
A big boot sent Galloway outside. Hoyt played to the fans and when he went to get Galloway, the Scot was waiting.
Hoyt went crashing into the guardrail and Galloway took full advantage of his comeback.
A Scot Drop inside had Hoyt hurting, but he tried to mount a comeback off the ropes with a shove. Galloway didn't go down! Repeated chops! Galloway shakes them off, kick to the stomach, power bomb! 1, 2... NO!
DOUBLE ARM DDT!
1, 2, 3! What a finish!
Galloway took a beating, the best Hoyt had to offer, but comes back huge to take the win!
- Non-Wrestling Segment - Not every road is traveled alone... Some paths can only be overtaken with a partner... The Twin Roads! Join us on the journey to crown the Twin Roads Men's and Twin Road Women's champions!
(Speaking of which, the following two teams will definitely want to make an impact in order to add even more gold to their already extensive resumes...)
Young Bucks vs. Reno Scum Adam Thornstowe defeated Matt Jackson with a DQ at 5:58 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Reno Scum. The Young Bucks. If there was any attitude to spare in Chicago, it ended up in the ring.
Matt Jackson tried to get cute early and Adam Thornstowe was having none of it. He punished Jackson and used tag work to keep up the momentum.
Luster came in and hit some hi impact offense before tagging to initiate the biggest little beat down.
Matt was in trouble and Thronstowe hit the TOMBSTONE! 1, 2, NO! Matt Jackson is so resilient.
Thornstowe keeps the pressure on and goes up for the FROG SPLASH! 1, 2... Nick Jackson pulls the ref out!
The ref is lacing into Nick. Nick's not having it. He tells him to "suck it"... Super kick! Nick Jackson just super kicked the ref!
Another ref and officials run out to declare the DQ!
What the hell was Nick Jackson thinking?!?
Reno Scum picks up the win, but not how they'd like to.
The Council table doesn't look happy either. Especially Mike Quckenbush, he stands, leaning heavily on his cane glaring at Nick Jackson as he passes by, laughing.
Davey Vega vs. Ricky Starks Davey Vega defeated Ricky Starks with a DQ at 11:39 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Wild match. Very evenly matched opponents with similar styles.
Vega scored big early and got a near fall, but Starks would rally back.
The action see sawed as both tried to get their offense going.
Starks was able to hit the BUSTER KEATON, but Vega got the shoulder up!
Eventually, the action would spill outside and both men would go hi risk and crash and burn! The audience was stunned as both men were struggling to get their knees much less their feet.
They started trading punches on their knees! Chops! Eye poke from Starks!
He grabs a chair in desperation and clocks Vega!
The ref calls for the bell and Vega wins by DQ!
Cheerleader Melissa vs. Barbi Hayden vs. Jessicka Havok vs. Saraya Knight Cheerleader Melissa defeated Saraya Knight with a KUDOH DRIVER at 34:37 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: The Co-Main Event of the evening with a 60 Minute time limit is this Fatal Four Way match.
And it was worth every second. All four women took and gave beatings scoring multiple near falls in a crazy athletic contest.
They wrestled the style to a tee. Move built on move, looking for an opening to hit something bigger or go for the win.
It spilled outside multiple times and the no DQ stip came in handy to Knight, Havok, and even Melissa.
Barbi Hayden dominated mid match, but was taken out after a nasty sting of moves from Havok.
Knight and Melissa paired off multiple times and really showed their hatred for one another.
Melissa was in dire shape when she mounted a huge comeback!
Hayden and Havok were down on the outside when Melissa hit a hard knee, a Samoan Drop and then the KUDOH DRIVER for the 1, 2, 3!
What a win!
Cheerleader Melissa is easily one of the best in the world and she will certainly have a home in BDW.
A standing ovation for these four. The Council table included. All four have more than earned their way onto the Queen's Road Tournament.
- Non-Wrestling Segment - The King’s Road may only allow for one true champion, but rarely does one go into battle all alone. Six warriors stand across a ring from one another. Two teams of three. Legends have been forged. Some of the greatest contests of all time fought on continents around the globe. Some of the greatest matches of all time have been fought in three on three contests. Names like Misawa, Kawada, Kobashi, Akiyama… They forged their destinies in the heat of these battles… The Six-Man tradition continues: Chris Hero leads his tag team partner Tommy End and Roderick Strong into battle against his fierce rival Zack Sabre Jr and his partners Will Osperay and Marty Scurll!
- Six Man Elimination - Chris Hero , Tommy End, and Roderick Strong vs. Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr. , and Marty Scurll Chris Hero defeated Zack Sabre Jr. with a DEATH BLOW at 42:02 Roderick Strong defeated Marty Scurll with a DQ at 22:19 Marty Scurll defeated Tommy End with a DQ at 18:21 Chris Hero defeated Will Ospreay with a CYCLONE KILL at 49:12 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: This is your Main Event of the evening! A 6-Man Elimination Style Tag Team Match!
Each of these 6 men will definitely be vying for a spot at the top of the BDW card. And just because they've been assigned to these teams, doesn't mean they're all chums. Scurll and Osperay have their history together, tho Hero and End have tagged with some success elsewhere as Heroes Eventually Die.
Sabre Jr and Hero took a beating. Mostly from each other. Sabre's resilience was incredible and he withstood both of Hero's finishers... Twice!!!
The match started off a little funny with two rapid DQs that saw End and Scurll eliminated.
The rest of the four, tho went at it back and forth in a furious fashion.
Eventually, a bloody, woozy, Zack Sabre Jr was clobbered with Chris Hero's DEATH BLOW!
Strong and Osperay put on a hell of a display, but the Aerial Assassin couldn't put him away and he missed a suicide dive to the outside!
Strong tagged in Hero...
Osperay tries to come back... NO! Hero hits the CYCLONE KILL out of no where! 1, 2, 3!
Hero's team wins and he scores two of the three eliminations. Hero is definitely on the King's Road...
The first fight card in BDW history comes to a close with Chris Hero standing tall. Will he be on the King's Road? Will his feud with Zack Sabre Jr continue?
The masked man is standing at the table again with a mic...
MM: And so our journey has begun! Tomorrow night, Cleveland, OH becomes home to the Northern Highway for the night! Mike Quackenbush will host as the tournament for the Northern Highway Championship gets underway. For now, we go our separate ways, but we'll all be seeing you soon enough. And I'll definitely be popping in from time to time to keep an eye on things...
Overall Card Rating: 3.58

BDW Presents: The Northern Highway Tour (1) 02.28.2016 from Cleveland, OH
- Non-Wrestling Segment - [This scrolls across the screen: The Northern Highway is home to some of the greatest wrestlers in the world, host to some of the finest battles of all time! NH Councillor, Mike Quackenbush, has declared the NH Champion will be decided in a 16 man single elimination tournament and it begins tonight!]
(Mike Quackenbush appears. Dressed in a dark suit and wearing sunglasses. His silver handled cane clutched in his right hand. He removes the sun glasses and addresses the audience from a booth not unlike the announcer's table next to the ring, only his is at the top of the entrance ramp.)
MQ: My life has changed in so many ways over the past few years. To have the chance to begin again on the Dragon Road is an honor. Other than our fantastic single elimination tournament I have planned, I intend on letting things develop as we go along, but I will say one thing... I will not tolerate any disrespect towards this office or my referees and officials in the ring. They represent my hand and my authority...
Matt & Nick Jackson! Super kicking one of my referees in the face, is not, shall we say, a good foot to start on with me... So I got together with the council and decided to excercise my Royal Favor right off the bat... I'm banning you two from the Twin Roads Tournament! And if you want a spot on my roster, you will work every card between now and the King's Road! If you do that... And if you pull off a winning record... Then we'll see about a title match.
Other than that, I expect to see the finest competitors in the world come to this corner of the Dragon Road to fight for the crown! With honor and respect. I have no other agenda. I'm not here to take over and wage war with anyone. I'm just here to keep a little order and respectability. That's all.
(The names of the men you will see competing in the Northern Highway Championship Tournament are displayed on the screen, in order of seeding): [Michael Elgin, Johnny Gargano, Sami Callihan, Ethan Page, Josh Alexander, Tim Donst, AR Fox, Matt Cross, Davey Vega, Raymond Rowe, Tracy Williams, Eric Ryan, Isaias Velazquez, Robert Anthony, Arik Cannon, and Rickey Shane Page. ]
It is time to begin our journey to crown the first Northern Highway Champion!
The Young Bucks vs. Irish Airborne Dave Crist defeated Matt Jackson with a HEAD AND ARM TRAP DDT at 6:14 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The Bucks are not pleased with their position. Denied entry into the Twin Roads tournament and forced to wrestle on every card this season if they want a spot on the roster and a chance to face whoever the champs are at The King's Road year end card.
The Irish Airborne could be considered the hometown favorites here and are certainly looking to impress to get a spot in the Twin Roads tournament.
Jake and Matt start things off and it's move for move in the opening to get the fans going. Neither man could sustain any offense and quick tags out on defense saw their partners have the same problem.
Eventually, Nick Jackson settled into the advantage over Dave Crist and they scored a near fall with the INDY TAKER!
They couldn't believe it and Nick and Matt's jawing with the ref may have cost them some momentum. They better tread carefully.
The Crists make a comeback in a big way and score a series of near falls! Jake hit THE SUICIDE!
IRISH COFFEE! But Matt Jackson is saved by Nick!
Dave takes over... He works over Matt on the outside and tosses him in... HEAD AND ARM TRAP DDT!
Nick tries to make the save, but is cut off! Dave Crist gets the 1, 2, 3!
Matt is reeling at Nick argues with the ref, but Irish Airborne celebrates the win.
- Northern Highway Championship Round One - Raymond Rowe vs. Tim Donst This match ended in a draw (Double DQ) at 1:41 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: The first match in the Northern Road Championship Tournament got us off to a strange start.
They jawed at the bell and Donst felt slighted by Rowe not shaking his hand.
Rowe went for a fist to the face, Dunst blocks, German suplex!!
Rowe is reeling...
The action spills outside after Donst goes crashing over the turnbuckle.
They're brawling over the guardrail. The ref is trying to get them back in the ring...
They push the ref! Donst and Rowe just pushed the ref into the guardrail!
The ref climbs back into the ring and calls for the bell! It's a double DQ!
Donst & Rowe just eliminated themselves from the tournament and handed a huge to the winner of the Page/Velasquez fight!
Lightning Mike is up from his desk with mic in hand!
MQ: Donst. Rowe. I had one rule. And I thought I was pretty clear about it. You want to push my refs? You just want to keep fighting. Fine by me. I'm benching from the next show and signing, right now, your next match... Donst versus Rowe in a Last Man Standing Match! Sound like fun?
- Northern Highway Championship Round One - Tracy Williams vs. Josh Alexander Josh Alexander defeated Tracy Williams with a TWISTING TOMBSTONE at 7:50 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: This is a rematch from last night, but now it's a part of the Northern Highway Championship Tournament.
Will Tracy Williams avenge his loss and take a step on the King's Road? Or will Josh Alexander establish a measure of dominance?
The struggled for an advantage early, but a missed lariat led to some vicious crossface shots by Alexander. TWISTING TOMBSTONE! Williams gets the shoulder up barely.
He keeps the pressure on and dismantles Tracy Williams. Strikes and hi impact moves led to a Rusty Nail and another TWISTING TOMBSTONE, but Williams again got the shoulder up!
Alexander was frustrated, but kept the pressure on and used another Rusty Nail and an apron corssbody, but it resulted in only a two count!
Exploder! Ripcord elbow! TWISTING TOMBSTONE!
1, 2, 3! What a win for Josh Alexander! One step closer to the Northern Highway Championship.
Tracy Williams is hurting, but word is he may have opportunities on other Roads...
Kimber Lee vs. MsChif Kimber Lee defeated MsChif with a DQ at 6:09 Match Rating: 1.75 Match Notes: They survived a jaw dropping 30 minute time limit draw last night in tag action but this evening it's singles competition between Kimber Lee of the Kimber Bombs taking on McChif of MSEERIE!
MsChif just dominated Lee, but when she couldn't finish her in or out of the ring, she let her frustrations mount and grabbed the bell hammer and smashed Lee with it!
The ref called from the bell and MsChif loses by way of disqualification!
The Batiri vs. To Infinity & Beyond Colin Delaney defeated Kodama with a backslide at 18:36 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Great back and forth tag action that saw both units working smoothly together.
Cheech and Colin Delaney seemed to have a little bit of an edge, tho Kodama and Obariyon scored a near fall on Delaney early on.
The risked DQ with a big brawl with all four in the ring much to the fans delight, but when order was restored, To Infinity & Beyond had Kodama hurting a Delaney scored with tope con hilo and backslide sealed the deal!
Good win for To Infinity & Beyond.
Team Slap Happy vs. The Pink Ladies Jessie McKay defeated Heidi Lovelace with a SCHOOL GIRL CRUSH at 3:18 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Team Slap Happy came out looking to making an impact against two of the best, Jessie McKay and Madison Eagles, the Pink Ladies.
Of course Heidi Lovelace is definitely no slouch, carrying titles in other organizations.
Unfortunately, that didn't help her here as the Pink Ladies dismantled Lovelace! They cut off the ring and hit high impact moves from the get go.
Evie made the save after Eagles locked in a stranglehold, but couldn't do the same after SCHOOL GIRL CRUSH by McKay.
Strong outing from the Pink Ladies. The Twin Roads could be calling...
- Northern Highway Championship Round One - Michael Elgin LE vs. Arik Cannon Michael Elgin LE defeated Arik Cannon with an AVALANCHE ELGIN BOMB at 14:20 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Great match that proved just what's at stake for both men. Cannon had one of the best matches of his career, but Elgin was just that much better... And pissed off!
Cannon spat beer at Elgin in the opening, Elgin went for a clothesline, Cannon ducked, sit more beer! Elgin was pissed, but Cannon took advantage and got a couple moves in...
Then Elgin took over. He decimated Cannon and even toyed with him at points, not even going for a cover! It nearly cost him tho as Cannon came back huge and even hit his finisher on Elgin!
Elgin somehow battled back and it see sawed towards the end, but Elgin came off he ropes with a shoulder and hit another buckle bomb! FLiyin lariat from the top!
He picks Cannon up, takes him up top and hits the AVALANCHE ELGIN BOMB for the win!
Both men are exhausted and Cannon is being attended to with ice packs as Elgin uses the ropes to get to his feet and raise his arms in victory.
Quack can be seen watching this one intently...
Fatigue Count: Elgin: 4 Cannon 6
- Northern Highway Championship Round One - Johnny Gargano vs. Rickey Shane Page Johnny Gargano defeated Rickey Shane Page with a swinging reverse STO at 5:03 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Gargano got quite the welcome from the crowd. The Northern Highway might not be "Johnny Wrestling's" only home, but it's certainly the one that loves him most.
Ricky Shane Page definitely has the size advantage, but Gargano is deceptively strong and has heart to spare.
Gargano dominated early and even locked in the GARGANO ESCAPE, but Page wasn't going out that easy.
Page came back, but it was short lived and Gargano hit an improbably lawn dart followed by a cannonball from the top and then a swinging reverse STO to pick up the win and advance on the Northern Highway! What a display!
Saraya Knight and Rhia O'Reilly vs. Mercedes Martinez and Cheerleader Melissa Mercedes Martinez defeated Rhia O'Reilly with a double team fisherman buster at 9:53 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Melissa and Knight are still feeling last night's Fatal Four Way. Which, Melissa won in spectacular fashion. But it was obvious the feud between these that's exploded in other promotions was present here in BDW, too.
Knight and Melissa went back and forth, but a tag out to O'Reilly changed the pace.
Martinez and Melissa worked her over and then Melissa hit the KUDOH DRIVER, but O'Reilly got the shoulder up! Not once, but twice! Incredible!
Things were tense as Knight kept distracting the ref and Melissa almost charged in a couple of times.
The finish saw Knight break up a pin, but while she was escorted out by the ref, Melissa and Martinez hit a double team fisherman buster for the 1, 2, 3!
Knight and Melissa are jawing afterwards and almost come to blows, but the officials keep them separated.
Melissa is definitely on her way to the Queen's Road, but will Knight join her? Or Martinez, for that matter?
Chris Hero , Louis Lyndon, and Marion Fontaine vs. Zack Sabre Jr. , Matt Cross, and Davey Vega Chris Hero defeated Davey Vega with a DEATH BLOW at 12:45 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: We end our night with a traditional King's Road Six Man match. This will be fought with one fall rules and a 60 minute time limit.
Chris Hero was the dominant force on the last card, can he repeat that tonight?
Zack Sabre Jr is still smarting from being eliminated by Hero, will this be his chance for revenge?
Both men are looking for a place on the King's Road and their respective partners want the same thing. Vega impressed with a DQ win over Ricky Starks and Matt Cross fought in a Time Limit Draw Fatal Four Way match. Lyndon and Fontaine make their BDW debut!
Interesting matchup and especially interesting that Sabre and Hero never got to share the ring!
Lyndon took a beating, but came back and the match was even for a bit... Eventually Hero was tagged in and he destroyed Davey Vega with an Electric Chair Elbow and the DEATH BLOW! Count is broken up by Cross!
DEATH BLOW again!!! 1, 2, 3!
Hero stands victorious again!
Quackenbush applauds in approval at the show comes to a close.
Overall Card Rating: 2.26

Love the format for your match summaries... The main points of the action really highlighted well... And the drama is built up in a manner that is easy to follow...
It was very cool to see Gargano advance in the tourney... But, I'll be pulling for the Callihan Death Machine to go all the way...
Shaping up to be a truly exciting journey... Excellent work!

BDW Presents: The Northern Highway Tour (2) 03.04.2016 from Detroit, MI
- Northern Highway Championship Round One - AR Fox vs. Eric Ryan Eric Ryan defeated AR Fox with a DQ at 2:17 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: AR Fox came on strong in the opening moments and scored a near fall.
A springboard 450 splash led to Ryan rolling outside clutching his midsection. Fox followed and the ref warned him to bring it back in...
Ryan stumbled around to the timekeepers table and when Fox began raining down blows, the ref warned him again, but after he smashed Ryan face first into the bell, the ref called for the DQ.
Fox was hot and so were the fans! But Mike Quackenbush sat at his desk with a poker face...
The Young Bucks vs. To Infinity & Beyond Matt Jackson defeated Cheech with an INDY TAKER at 11:37 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: After the past few shows, the Bucks showed up in far better form. Nick Jackson started off with a "Suck it" to Colin Delaney and the Bucks were off to the races.
Excellent tag work, lightning paced, and big hi spots, all you'd expect.
There was some brawling on the outside, especially after Nick crashed and burned on a dive.
Delaney took MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK, but Cheech made the save and huge brawl erupted.
The ref got in Matt and Nick's face, but they backed off quickly, giving the ref a crotch chop behind his back as order was restored.
Cheech tried to mount a comeback but a huge dive to outside by Matt just about sealed the deal... MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! 1, 2, NO!!!
Quick tag... INDY TAKER!!!
1, 2, 3!
Great match from the Bucks. After a rocky start they seem inspired and ready to go even if they have a huge task before them.
Quackenbush looks on with approval from the desk. Perhaps if they tread carefully enough they'll be able to challenge for the Twin Roads...
Heidi Lovelace vs. Jessie McKay Jessie McKay defeated Heidi Lovelace with a BOYFRIEND STEALER at 1:30 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Whoa! Jessie McKay came out swinging as they locked up and when she got pushed off into the ropes she came back with a big lariat!
She hit a BOYFRIEND STEALER in no time, but only scored the 2! She didn't let the shock of it get to her, tho and hit the move again to score the easy win!
Heidi Lovelace has done nothing but struggle so far on the Dragon Road... Will she find a spot on the Queen's Road at all? McKay on the other hand, might be a shoe in.
Arik Cannon vs. Tracy Williams vs. Rickey Shane Page Arik Cannon defeated Rickey Shane Page with a Glimmering Warlock at 28:09 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: This was an incredible three way match. Just when you thought it was the Arik Cannon show, Williams or Page would come in and change the complexion.
So many great exchanges and awesome spots, but the build was fantastic.
The beginning saw Cannon and Williams going at it after Page was knocked out the ring. Page just sat outside... Lurking, waiting.
Once he got his chance he mercilessly punished Arik Cannon. Even busting him open on the outside!
Williams almost stole a pin, but somehow, Arik Cannon came back to life and even bloodied Williams.
He then turned his fury on Page and exacted revenge, eventually scoring the fall with two straight glimmering warlocks!
Great match. Mike Quackenbush gave them the thumbs up as the crowd cheered and Arik Cannon, crimson-masked and all, strode to the back victorious!
- Northern Highway Championship Tournament Round One - Davey Vega vs. Matt Cross Matt Cross defeated Davey Vega with a DEATH FROM ABOVE at 18:08 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Davey Vega and Matt Cross are no strangers and they came at each other like two men who know each other well. The match flowed back and forth as both men tried to land big moves to put the other away.
The action spilled outside multiple times, but they never went underhanded. More than a few dives to the outside were to be had, tho and it thrilled the fans.
Cross was busted open after one spill to the outside and Vega soon was as well!
It reminded one of the hard-hitting affairs Jerry Lynn and RVD had in ECW.
The finish finally came in thrilling fashion as Cross bounced back on the outside and hit the Flagpole Splash! He followed it up with a big snap suplex inside and hit DEATH FROM ABOVE to get the 1, 2, 3!
Matt Cross moves on in the quest to crown the Northern Highway Champion!
Great match!
- Northern Highway Championship Tournament Round One - Sami Callihan vs. Robert Anthony Robert Anthony defeated Sami Callihan with a TACO PIZZA at 9:30 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Hell of a match.
Anthony came out swinging, but Callihan swiftly turned the tides and punished Anthony.
Anthony was able to come back after absorbing considerable punishment and score a series of near falls!
He went up top to try and seal the deal, but Callihan hopped to the top rope! They struggled... Anthony hits a sick backbreaker off the top!!!!
TACO PIZZA! It's locked in... Callihan taps!
This has got to be considered an upset!
Mike Quackenbush looks on in surprise and takes out his cell phone...
Meanwhile, Sami is is hurting. And not happy...
Anthony celebrates to the back as he moves on in the Norther Highway. He'll face Josh Alexander on the next card to see who moves to the semi-finals!
Jessicka Havok, Sassy Stephie, and Allysin Kay vs. Mary Dobson, Sumie Sakai , and Thunderkitty Sassy Stephie defeated Thunderkitty with a DQ at 4:38 Match Rating: 1.75 Match Notes: We got off to a hot start when Havok slapped Dobson in the face!
The jockeyed for position and eventually all six women had been in the ring in a very short amount of time. Sakai scored a near fall out of nowhere after being shot into the ropes, but Stephie got the shoulder up.
Thunderkitty came in and immediately took things out of the ring! The end came when she smacked Stephie with a chair!
The ref called for the bell as Quackenbush looked on, somewhat bemused.
Havok grabbed a chair of her own, but officials prevented her from doing any damage as Dobson, Kitty, and Sakai headed for the back.
- Northern Highway Championship Tournament Round One - Ethan Page vs. Isaias Velazquez Isaias Velazquez defeated Ethan Page with a HAMMER OF DAWN at 12:06 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: This was a fantastic match between two men who went all out to advance for the Northern Highway Championship.
Ethan Page looked like a beast in the opening moments and was looking to squash Isaias, but it wasn't in the cards as we soon had an awesome back and forth hi impact battle!
Tons of near falls as Page battled back again, BOOM Head Shot! Diving cutter!
Page goes up top... Velazquez is up... Superplex! Velazquez had it back again and was looking to put him away, but missed a dive to the outside!
Page is back in control. Irish whip in the corner... Page charges with the lariat, Isaias ducks, runs, leaps to opposite turnbuckles, Page turns... Moonsault!
1, 2, 3!
Velazquez gets the win! What a battle!
Quackenbush applauds the effort as do the fans and Ethan Page is clearly frustrated.
Velazquez is heading to the back with the big win as he advances directly to the semi-finals since Donst and Rowe drew each other with the double DQ. Huge advantage in the tournament.
Heroes Eventually Die vs. 2 Guys Hanging Out Chris Sabin defeated Chris Hero with a CRADLE SHOCK at 4:44 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Mike Quackenbush is standing next to his desk atop the ramp with a mic.
MQ: Detroit! Are you having fun? Because if you were having fun before, get ready... A last minute signing brings me a very special tag team match that I KNOW will be dear to your heart... Will Chris Hero continue his dominance as he tags with partner, Tommy End as Heroes. Eventually. Die.? OR... Will Will Osperay and his partner... Yet to be named... Come out victorious... 2 Guys Hanging Out... And that second man... As if you didn't already know... Detroit's own, Chris Sabin!!!!
(The crowd goes crazy as Sabin makes his way out with Osperay.)
The match gets to a quick start as Osperay tries to fight off End, but has no luck. A tag brings in Hero, but Osperay ducks the double-team and clocks Hero with a handspring enzugiri!
Hot tag to Sabin! Crowd pops... CRADLE DRIVER!!!
End breaks up the pin... He argues with the ref... Osperay... Handspring cutter!!! CRADLE SHOCK again from Sabin!
The ref is down to make the count... 1, 2, 3!
Sabin just pinned Hero!
Hero looks distraught and hurt as the crowd cheers Sabin. He celebrates with Osperay as Quack takes out his cell phone and makes a call...
Overall Card Rating: 2.65

BDW Presents: The Northern Highway Tour (3) 03.06.2016 from Milwaukee, WI
- Northern Highway Championship Quarterfinal - Josh Alexander vs. Robert Anthony Robert Anthony defeated Josh Alexander with a TACO PIZZA at 5:02 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The winner of this match will find themselves in the semi-finals for the Northern Highway Championship! They will face the winner of Michael Elgin vs Eric Ryan.
Alexander came out strong. He clearly had a game plan. Strong strikes leading the big exploder then taking to the air.
It almost worked, too, but Anthony hit a dropkick as Alexander attempted an apron cross body!
He took over and hit the SPRINGBOARD DDT for a near fall. It was near fall city for a stretch as Anthony tried, but couldn't put him away.
Finally, after, failing to get the pin with another SPRINGBOARD DDT, Anthony got fed up and locked in TACO PIZZA! The weakened Alexander had no choice but throw in the towel.
Impressive turn of events and Mike Quackenbush is furiously scribbling some notes at his ramp-top desk.
The N Words vs. Beauty and the Beast Stevie Fierce defeated Acid Jazz PP 16 with a BE OUR GUEST at 8:36 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: These four are no strangers to one another and Beauty and the Beast have had a run of success lately in other promotions.
Acid Jaz and Rob Matter started things off in back and forth style, but Matter soon took over and utilized the tag well.
Fierce worked his way up to their BE OUR GUEST finisher, but Jaz got the shoulder up even after Fierce stopped B-Ryce from interfering.
The finish finally came when Matter orchestrated another BE OUR GUEST and Fierce made the cover for 1, 2, 3.
Great display from Beatuy & the Beast!
- Queen's Road Qualifier Match - Angelus Lane vs. Kellie Skater vs. Nikki Roxx Kellie Skater defeated Nikki Roxx with an INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT at 26:42 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: While some competitors have apparently already been included in the Queen's Road championship tournament, there are, a couple open spots. This match would decide the next entrant.
Skater and Lane attacked each other with a fury and really seemed to be the focus of the match. Not sure what it's stemming from, but it seemed to go deeper than a tournament seed.
Nikki Roxx, tho made her presence felt and even scored a near fall on Lane, but it just wasn't in the cards for her.
In fact, Skater came back in a big way and after neutralizing Lane, she focused on Roxx... Skate or Destroy! 1, 2, NO!
INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT! 1, 2, 3!
What a win for Skater!
Quack is on his phone, smiling at Skater as Lane fumes on the outside of the ring...
- Northern Highway Championship Quarterfinal - Michael Elgin LE vs. Eric Ryan Michael Elgin LE defeated Eric Ryan with an ELGIN BOMB at 10:36 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Elgin came out swinging, but somehow, Ryan bounced back and began to mount quite an offensive stand.
He threw everything he could at Elgin and when what he was doing in the ring wasn't enough, he took it outside and was cunning enough to get away with a chairshot across the back of Elgin!
Ryan took it back in and called for the end, but he came off the top and Elgin caught him with a European uppercut! ELGIN BOMB!!!
1, 2, 3!
And just like that Michael Elgin puts him away to move on to the semi-finals!
Ryan sure as hell tried tho...
Sami Callihan vs. Tracy Williams Sami Callihan defeated Tracy Williams with a roll up at 11:49 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: They set a blistering pace in the opening as they chain wrestled and tried to get an opening...
Callihan was the first to take it, and take it he did. Williams was punished in every way Sami could think of. Suplexes, holds, and monster strikes, including a couple Forearms 2 Remember!
But Williams hit a backbreaker off the ropes that completely turned the tide!
He pulled out some big moves: a single undertook brain buster and a diving elbow.
Unfortunately, he went up top again and The Death Machine rushed the ropes and tore him down with an exploder suplex!
A big suicide dive from Sami had both men hurting and Williams used it as an opening, but when he whipped Sami into the corner, he missed a spear and clocked himself on the post. Sami rolled him up and scored the 1, 2, 3.
The Young Bucks vs. Four Star Heroes Matt Jackson defeated Matt Knicks with a pinning combo at 17:11 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: The Young Bucks proved too much for the Four Star Heroes as they dominated Matt Nicks in particular.
Lots of quick tag work and all their big spots led to an INDY TAKER, but Castro was in and the brawl that ensued nearly cost both teams a win, but order was restored and the playing field was somewhat level, but it lasted seconds as the Bucks took over again and Nick hit a sick dive on Nicks outside.
More tag work further weakened Nicks, but he bounced back briefly and sent Matt into the ropes, sunset flip attempt is denied and Matt Jackson steals the pin 1, 2, 3.
After a rough start the Bucks got back to basics and even Mike Quackenbush can't stop their current momentum...
- Northern Highway Championship Quarterfinal - Johnny Gargano vs. Matt Cross Johnny Gargano defeated Matt Cross with a GARGANO ESCAPE at 10:30 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: They traded holds early and Cross had Gargano reeling a couple times, but was unable to sustain any momentum.
Gargano made a sustained comeback that led to a Baby Ace Crusher for a near fall and a GARGANO ESCAPE!
At one point Gargano hit a elbow suicida that nearly resulted in a countout.
Back in Gargano worked him over the with Crosston Crab and eventually locked in another GARGANO ESCAPE for the victory!
Gargano v Velasquez in the semi-finals!
Mike Quackenbush shakes Gargano's hand on his way to the back and Quack grabs for his phone after...
- Falls Count Anywhere - Tim Donst vs. Raymond Rowe Raymond Rowe defeated Tim Donst with a power bomb on concrete at 12:30 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Classic brutal brawl!
They started in the ring going at it furiously, back and forth, blow for blow!
Donst scored big first and eventually took the match out of the ring!
Almost immediately, Rowe came back big and began punishing Donst all over the building!
The fans were in the middle of the war zone as tables and chair became instruments of destruction!
Miraculously, Donst made a monster comeback and Rowe was in big trouble after being busted open with a chairshot!!
Multiple pin fall attempts, but Rowe kicked out.
Donst set up a table and went to power bomb Rowe through it, but ended up being back dropped for his troubles! Lying in the splinters of the table, Donst was suddenly on the defensive and Rowe quickly exacted some payback!
He eventually pulled up the ring side mats and power bombed Donst on the concrete for the win!
Quackenbush was on his feet and his phone in no time...
Chris Hero vs. Chris Sabin Chris Hero defeated Chris Sabin with a DEATH BLOW at 10:32 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Chris Hero looked all business at the start of this one. He had one thing on his mind... Caving in Sabin's skull.
It was brutal. Hero simply destroyed Sabin with total Malice.
It wasn't quite that simple, tho. Hero went up top at one point and the ref was in a bad position and got creamed!
Sabin tried to mount a comeback as Hero checked on the ref. Quack even came down to ringside...
Hero was having none of it tho and they brawled outside the ring and Sabin got split wide open after Hero tossed a chair at him and thing his a rolling elbow into it!
Back inside he nearly pummeled Sabin unconscious with repeated DEATH BLOWS and a CYCLONE KILL!
The ref was finally back to his senses and counted the 1, 2, 3 after another sick DEATH BLOW.
Sabin has to be helped from the ringside area by medical staff as Hero stands in the middle of the ring.
HERO: Chris Sabin... Get your punk ass off my road! That's right... Greatest of all time... Coming to conquer the Dragon Road... I may not be fighting for the Northern Highway Championship, but I've spoken with Dave Marquez, Steve Corino, and DJ Hyde... Let's just say I have options... In the meantime, if any other bitch ass punk wants to step up to the king, you just saw the results... I'll send you out in a body bag!
(Fatigue Count: CH: 0, CS: 8!)

BDW Presents: The Northern Highway Tour (4) 03.11.2016 from Minneapolis, MN
- Non-Wrestling Segment - Mike Quackenbush is at his table to welcome us to the fight card.
MQ: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Northern Highway! Welcome to Bandit Dragon Wrestling! We are bringing the Northern Highway Tour to a close this evening, but that doesn't mean this is the last you'll see of Mike Quackenbush. The next card will emanate from the Emerald City of Seattle! A contested territory on the Dragon Road, if you will. The Northern Highway and Western Highway will meet in peace as we continue to scout talent, but all five Council Members will be on hand to join me at the Council Table to witness the great action in BDW!
It has been my honor to kick off the Dragon Road here on the Northern Highway and I am pleased to announce that tonight we will crown a Northern Highway Champion and that man will represent the Northern Highway when BDW crowns it's first ever King's Road Champion at the end of the season! May the best man win.
But, in the meantime, I've got something special up my sleeve for those competitors that didn't quite make the cut. Some of them have been in action the past few cards outside of the tournament, but tonight we will have two Triple Threat Matches... Call them Second Chance matches. And the winners of these Second Chance matches will face the men that don't advance tonight. In conjunction with the Western Highway and my fellow Council member, Dave Marquez, I have secured a guaranteed spot in the Red Carpet Rumble for the winner of the Second Chance Tournament! Of course, impress, Dave Marquez enough and perhaps even the losers could still win...
And that action starts... Right now!
Arik Cannon vs. AR Fox vs. Sami Callihan This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: The levels of brutality in this match were unexpected.
Callihan and Fox went hold for hold, but Fox brought the pain soon after and Callihan was in trouble.
The match became a brawl as all three competitors went back and forth with one another.
Cannon and Callihan began to square off and Cannon was destroying Sami! He was busted wide open after a chair shot and it just got worse from there... But the Death Machine would not stay down! He came roaring back and nearly caved in Cannon's skull with repeated forearm shots!
Cannon was bleeding heavily at this point as Sami exacted his revenge.
Fox came back and nearly put Cannon away, but Callihan somehow broke up the pin and nearly stole one of his own.
The match devolved into an all out brawl as Callihan could barely stay on his feet! Cannon was relentless and may have knocked Calliahn out, but it was outside the ring and he couldn't get him in for the pin! Fox was coming outside, but the bell rang!
Time limit draw! Wow... Quackenbush is on his phone in no time as medical crews attend to Callihan and Cannon. Incredibly bloody battle to open the show.
- Northern Highway Championship Semi-Final - Isaias Velazquez vs. Johnny Gargano Johnny Gargano defeated Isaias Velazquez with a GARGANO ESCAPE at 2:21 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Whoa! Johnny Gargano was definitely a favorite to go far, but this display of dominance establishes him as a firm threat to the Northern Highway.
Velazquez tried to get something started, but Johnny Wrestling stuffed him and transitioned from the Crosston Crab to the GARGANO ESCAPE to secure the win and move to the Northern Highway Championship Finals.
- Northern Highway Championship Semi-Finals - Robert Anthony vs. Michael Elgin LE Michael Elgin LE defeated Robert Anthony with a Buckle Bomb at 4:48 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Elgin sent a message to Gargano by decimating Anthony. Anthony had one flourish, sliding out of a vertical suplex and hitting a stiff kick to the back, but Elgin was having none of it.
A string of hi impact moves including a buckle bomb and a spinning backfist all led to another buckle bomb for the win!
Gargano vs Elgin for the Northern Highway Championship!
Eric Ryan vs. Josh Alexander vs. Matt Cross Matt Cross defeated Josh Alexander with a DEATH FROM ABOVE at 23:00 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Action packed bout that saw Ryan dominate Alexander and go for a fall only for Cross to come into the picture and the over the dominance on Alexander.
He went on to score multiple near falls before the action spilled outside and the brawling began in earnest!
Cross hit a monster suicide dive that sent Josh Alexander crashing into the floor! He was busted open and bled profusely for the rest of the match. Barely able to stand in the final moments.
Ryan tried to steal a pin, but Cross came right back in and went on to hit DEATH FROM ABOVE for the third time to score the hard fought win. Alexander needed medical attention after the match (Fatigue was 10!).
Eric Ryan blindsided Matt Cross! "This was my second chance" he screams!
Quackenbush has officials restrain Ryan, but Cross dives over them! They're brawling up the ramp! Officials are pulling them apart, finally.
Quack has the mic...
MQ: Looks like we've got a problem here... But I'll tell ya what, I know how to solve it. I'm putting you two in a match at the Northern Highway Festival... I know, Mr. Cross, you're thinking you've earned a Second Chance, but your little dive onto my officials... Yeah, it cost you that! (Fans are chanting "You Screwed Cross" at Ryan and Quackenbush) Oh... And that match between you two... it'll be inside a Steel Cage!
(Cross is hot at his missed opportunity! Ryan is rain too! These guys will tear into each other at the Festival card!)
- Queen's Road Championship Round One - Saraya Knight vs. Jessicka Havok Jessicka Havok defeated Saraya Knight with a top rope cross body at 5:48 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Havok destroyed Knight. In what was a somewhat surprising match, Havok took control early and his every hi impact move in her arsenal scoring multiple near falls in the opening moments.
Frustration mounted and she took it out on Knight, not allowing her to come back and eventually came off the top with a cross body for the win.
Will Havok be able to back up this display on her way to the Queen's Road?
The Young Bucks vs. The Classic Connection Levi Shapiro defeated Matt Jackson with THE CLAW at 16:11 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Great tag action in a bout that saw the Classic Connection arrive in BDW.
It was back and forth nearly the whole way, with each team dominating for stretches. At one point Levi Shapiro took MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK, Royal breaks it up, MELTZER DRIVER, Royal breaks it up, and INDY TAKER, and he got the shoulder up! All right in a row!
The crowd was hot and the Bucks were in shock.
Matt missed a big dive to the outside and was hurting, blood streamed down his face!
Back inside, The Classic Connection hit the Midnight and Levi would apply THE CLAW and the bloody Matt Jackson tapped out!
Incredible! Quack was on the phone immediately and congratulated Buddy Royal and Levi Shapiro as they left. Nick tended to his brother, Matt and helped him to the back. Interesting position for the Bucks as they fight for a chance to get a shot at the Twin Roads titles at the end of the season.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Tommy End Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Tommy End with a rolling prawn hold at 6:13 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: What a display from ZSJ! End's ability to take the punishment is worth noting, but in the end Sabre gets the W.
He hit things off with a fast furious pace and hit a dive to the outside within the first couple minutes.
He was able to apply the CORSS ARMBREAKER twice, but End was able to get out of it!
Eventually a pair of Dragon Suplexes was slickly transitioned into a rolling prawn hold that got the victory!
ZSJ is getting ready to exit the ring when Chris Hero makes his way down...
Hero is in the ring, stalking back and forth...
Will Osperay and Chris Sabin are out! Officials begin trying to get between the five men as End gets to his feet, still hurting from the match. ZSJ has a mic...
ZSJ: Darling, darling, there's three of us and two... Well, more like one and half of you. Let's just call it a night and save it for another time. Another place.
HERO: Oh I got no problem with dropping your ass right here and now in front of your friends! But that's not why I'm out here. I came out here, to let you know that unless you can pull a miracle out of your collective asses on the next fight card, my team and myself will prove we are better than you.
ZSJ: Don't look like much of a team, there.
HERO: Zack Sabre Jr. let me tell you something, Chris Hero has friends all over!
And with that Colt Cabana makes his way out to the ring and the odds have been evened! Colt Cabana is on the Northern Highway!
End is back to his feet, and all six men are in the ring...
QUACK: Gentlemen, gentlemen... As much as I'd love to have this match right here and now... Save something for next time... And since there seems to be so much pride and ego on the line, let's really see what we can do to make sure the winners make a statement... So Sabre, Hero, lead your teams to war, because at the Battle in Emerald City, for the first time in BDW, it will be a Captain's Fall 6 Man Tag Team match!! Now, clear my ring! I have a Northern Highway Champion to crown!
- Queen's Road Championship Round One - Madison Eagles vs. Allysin Kay Madison Eagles defeated Allysin Kay with a lariat at 23:12 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Classic. What story told here.
Eagles would have to be considered the favorite and more seasoned of the two. That's not to say Kay hasn't been impressive.
After a short feeling out process and jockeying back and forth, Eagles began to dominate with a variety of strikes and suplexes.
It looked like it would only be a matter of time, but Kay made little comebacks here and there. Finally, she seized upon an opportunity to use a variety of holds to wear down Eagles and recoup some of her energy. They had little effect on Eagles, tho, and even after a big discus lariat, she came back to hit a Spider German on Kay!
Kay, tho, showed her toughness, by coming back big with a Samoan Drop followed by a gogoplata!
THE CUT-THROAT! 1, 2, NO!
These two women have gone nearly 20 minutes, hold for hold...
Kay keeps up the pressure and scores another near fall... Eagles comes back out of no where... HELL BOUND! 1... 2... NOO!!! Kay gets the shoulder up.
Kicks and knees from Eagles. Kay is out on her feet. No, Samoan drop! Whip into the corner...
Eagles with a hue lariat! Kay was turned inside out! 1, 2, 3!
What a match!
Huge ovation from fans and Quack... Eagles is one step closer to the Queen's Road, but Kay surely has earned a spot on this roster.
- Northern Highway Championship Match - Johnny Gargano vs. Michael Elgin LE Michael Elgin LE defeated Johnny Gargano with an AVALANCHE ELGIN BOMB at 14:52 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: This one had you going from thinking Elgin was a monster Little Johnny had no chance of slaying to Johnny Wrestling putting the hurt on and nearly tapping the beast out with GARGANO ESCAPE.
Johnny Gargano's heart earns him a spot on any roster and there's little doubt he might get a second chance on another road, but the story of the night is Michael Eglin's toughness, power, and animalistic dominance.
He survived the best Gargano had and was relentless in dishing out his brand of punishment. Stiff strikes, big bombs, and overall brutality. Johnny was battered, bruised, and blooded after some stiff strikes opened a cut above his eyebrow. Still it wasn't enough.
The finish came in spectacular style when Gargano made one last fiery comeback! Exhausted, he went up top, only to be caught by Elgin... AVALANCHE ELGIN BOMB!!!!!
1, 2, 3!
Another great match! Michael Elgin is the Northern Highway Champion!
Mike Quackenbush presents the title to Michael Elgin and the rest of the Council Members come out to show their respect to the champ... And perhaps fear that their respective Highway Champs, will have to do battle with Unbreakable...
Overall Card Rating: 2.83
