BDW Presents: The Western Highway Tour (2) 04.09.2016 from Las Vegas, NV
Dave Marquez makes his way out and stands next to the Council Table with a microphone.
DM: Welcome to Las Vegas! The Western Highway is open and we are one the road for the Red Carpet Rumble to crown the BDW Western Highway Champ! In the spirit of the city from which we emanate, we’ll be rolling the metaphorical roulette wheel and having two Fatal 4 Way matches tonight that will serve as RCR Qualifiers! Only, in this case lady luck shines, because all four men will be in the Rumble… However, the winner will be awarded a high number draw… The loser will find themselves joining the bottom 5… The others will be awarded spots somewhere in between!
Before Marquez can continue, the Masked Man’s music hits and out he struts in a suit and black mask.
MM: Dave, I love to hear a Council Member getting creative with stipulations. That’s some solid match making in the works… But, not to trump you on your own Highway… I have an announcement of some importance. On the fight card following your Red Carpet Rumble… San Francisco, California will host the first ever Queen’s Road Festival! We will crown the first Queen’s Road champion, but that’s not all, tag teams will be competing to crown the first Twin Roads Queens! And as if that wasn’t enough… The entire night will see a special guest Council Member presiding… None other than Trish Stratus! Now get back to booking Dave. I liked where you were headed.
- Twin Roads Tournament Block B - RPG Vice vs. RockNES Monsters Trent Barreta defeated Johnny Yuma with a springboard dropkick at 22:49 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Strong opening match, but the outcome never seemed to be in doubt despite Yuma and Goodtime's best efforts.
Too much action to call, but Barreta and Romero looked fantastic. Trent hit a big suicide dive on Goodtime early in the match and then bettered it with a twisting tope that had both men reeling!
Goodtime absorbed an enormous amount of punishment before finally making a tag to Yuma, but he couldn't withstand the onslaught from RPG Vice and some excellent tag work and double teaming led to the finish and tho Goodtime broke up the pin fall after STRONG ZERO, Barreta hit a springboard dropkick to get the win.
RPG Vice could be a major threat on the Twin Roads, tho they did struggle to seal the deal, they were nothing but dominant the whole match.
- Red Carpet Rumble Qualifier - ACH vs. Timothy Thatcher vs. Joey Ryan vs. Bateman ACH defeated Bateman with a 9:10 at flying cross body Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Very different kind of 4 way than what we've seen before in BDW.
Joey Ryan and Bateman were going back and forth in the ring while ACH and Thatcher battled on the outside.
Ryan had just about put Bateman away with THE WALK OFF, but ACH stole it!
He tossed Ryan, hit a flying cross body and got the 1, 2, 3!
ACH get s a high number draw while Bateman will be among the first 5 in the RCR!
Ryan is hot on the outside and Thatcher storms off.
- Twin Roads Tournament Block B - Beaver Boys vs. War Machine John Silver defeated Raymond Rowe with a DOUBLE PENETRATION at 19:36 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Excellent contest between two contrasting styles.
The Beaver Boys went for the win early by hitting DOUBLE PENETRATION in the opening moments. War Machine wouldn't be deterred, tho!
Rowe and Hanson came back and put the hurt on John Silver, even scoring a near fall.
The action spilled outside, but Silver still couldn't get anything going and just when it looked like all hope was over, he made a desperation tag and assisted in Dat Crazy Combo!
Reynolds took it to both Hanson and Rowe, using his agility to keep out of there grasp and nail them with big moves like a flipping DDT!
Silver had recovered enough to get involved and hit two SPIN DOCTORs on Rowe, but he kicked out!
Reynolds is in... DOUBLE PENETRATION!
1, 2, 3!
This has got to be considered an upset! Reynolds and Silver celebrate while Hanson tends to Rowe. Still both teams have a long way to go...
Saraya Knight vs. Kellie Skater Saraya Knight defeated Kellie Skater with a KNIGHTMARE at 15:45 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Skater and Knight matched up well to give the fans one hell of a match.
It had a little bit of everything and Skater had no problem mixing it up with Knight on the outside too.
Skater began attacking joints and trying soften Knight up for Skate or Die, but Saraya was going away easy.
She evaded a charge in the corner and then applied the BRIDLED ROCKING HORSE out of no where!
Skater was in the ropes, tho and the hold was broken. The action spilled outside and Skater mounted a comeback. Their brawling was reaching a fever pitch and Skater tossed Knight in and hit two INTERNATIONAL INCIDENTs but to no avail.
Skater was keeping the pressure on and hit a springboard elbow drop, but Saraya Knight moved at a crucial moment and Skater tumbled to the ring floor.
It was the opening Knight needed and after a string of near falls she finally hit KNIGHTMARE to score the win!
- Twin Roads Tournament Block B - Devastation Corporation vs. American Wolves ROH Flex Rumblecrunch defeated Eddie Edwards with a BLACK HOLE SLAM at 16:30 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Interesting contrast of styles between these two teams, but one thing they had in common was their drive to win.
Each team controlled the bout for long stretches and scored near falls, but the tag work and continuity was so strong that neither team held the advantage for a majority of the bout.
The spectacular action saw them mix it up with strikes and hi impact moves with some fine mat wrestling from the Wolves.
They kept it clean and rarely exited the ring unless for a breather. Even Sidney Bakabella was fairly quiet at ringside.
The finis finally came when Rumblecrunch made a desperation tag after avoiding Edwards' machine gun chops. McMassive came in and after a lariat he made an immediate tag and they hit the BLACK HOLE SLAM for a huge win at the beginning of the Twin Roads Tournament!
- Red Carpet Rumble Qualifier - Pretty Peter Avalon vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Brian Cage vs. James Morgan Brian Cage defeated Scorpio Sky with a WEAPON X at 4:23 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: An uncharacteristically short 4 way! Cage and Sky squared off and Sky lost the striking game and then the Machine dismantled Scorpio Sky!
The first pin fall attempt was broken up, but when Brian Cage hit his second WEAPON X he secured the big win!
Cage is guaranteed a high spot in the RCR, while Sky will find himself in the first 5.
Morgan and Avalon never had a chance, really.
Tommy End vs. Will Ospreay Will Ospreay defeated Tommy End with an ESSEX DESTROYER at 13:56 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Excellent match that could've gone either way.
They jockeyed for position early and chain wrestled until Osperay took the first big advantage only to crash and burn.
Tommy End took the fight to the Aerial Assassin and went for broke with hi impact moves, but he couldn't sustain the momentum and Osperay gave as good as he got!
The pendulum kept swinging back and forth and it was anybody's match. Even after Osperay scored a near fall with a fireman's carry gut buster, End would come right back! He hit a brain buster and the Elohim Combo along with other hi impact moves.
It spilled outside and End went for a plancha, but Osperay rolled out of the way and End crashed to the floor! Osperay then hit a springboard moonsault and End struggled to even make the count... He might as well have stayed outside as Osperay immediately hit the ESSEX DESTROYER for the 1, 2, 3!
- Twin Roads Tournament Block A - Sydal & Ricochet vs. The Briscoes Jay Briscoe defeated Matt Sydal with a release spine buster at 8:39 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Interesting match. Quick tags, lots of back and forth and a blistering pace of hi impact moves.
Ricochet had a flurry of offense that led to CHOCOLATE RAIN on Mark Briscoe, but the wild man kicked out. Sydal came in and then Mark made a quick tag to Jay.
Kick to the gut and a ring shaking release spine buster! 1, 2, 3! Jay Briscoe with the lightning pin!
Dem Boys with a good showing in their first match of the tournament.
- Queen's Road Tournament Semi Final - Madison Eagles vs. Barbi Hayden Barbi Hayden defeated Madison Eagles with a HAYDEN HALO at 21:46 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Incredible match that was a sterling example of how important the Queen's Road is to these competitors.
They both went big early and see sawed looking for an opening. Eagles even hit HELL BOUND, but it was too early.
Hayden proved tougher than she looks and put on a gutsy display surviving barrages of kicks from Eagles.
Eagles dominance was short lived, tho and they continued to battle back and forth with strikes and throws as each tried to get a lasting advantage.
Hayden surprised with a back elbow smash and a near fall out of no where!
HAYDEN HALO! 1, 2, 3!
Huge win for Barbi Hayden! She's in the finals of the BDW Queen's Road Tournament and she will face off against Cheerleader Melissa!
Adam Cole and The Young Bucks vs. Shaun Ricker and The Classic Connection This match ended in a draw (Double DQ) at 6:12 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: This one was intense from the get go as Buddy Royal and Matt Jackson traded holds.
The Bucks used tag work to get the advantage and then the Bullet Club was off to the races.
Shapiro was getting a beatdown after a plancha from Nick Jackson when the Bucks went for the kill with MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. Percy Pringle, tho, distracted the ref and the pin was broken.
Early onset led to the fight spilling outside once again, but Nick Jackson brought it back inside and went for another cover. Buddy Royal made the save, tho, and then things really broke down.
Ricker and Cole were going at it on the outside, Royal was laid out by Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson pummeled Shapiro...
The ref couldn't get control and called for a Double DQ!
Matt and Nick started double teaming Shapiro in the ring with a chair! MELTZER DRIVER on the chair!!! INDY TAKER!
Shapiro is not moving... Cole runs off Ricker and Pringle with a chair of his own and then the Bullet Club stand in the ring over Shapiro's limp body.
"Too sweet!"
Officials clear them from the ring as Levi Shapiro is stretchered out...
[He'll miss 4 cards due to injury...]
Pringle is yelling at Marquez: There'll be hell to pay, Marquez!
Marquez is staring daggers at the Bullet Club... Will there indeed be hell to pay? Or will the Bullet Club get away with one after all the stuff that Pringle's "Dynasty" has pulled?
Overall Card Rating: 3.33

Especially enjoyed that big upset by the Beaver Boys... And Ospreay vs The End is one match I would definitely pay to see IRL... Great to see Bandit Dragon back in action, my friend... Fun show!

Thanks, man! Been too long. Not sure if I'll get back to any of my other feds, tho my Classics fed will never be truly dead. That said, BDW is something that I wanted to do for a long time and I didn't want to just let it go no where. The online issues really hampered my ability/desire to play for a while, that and planning a wedding, buying a condo, starting a new job... There was a lot going on, haha.
Needless to say I'm stoked to be back rolling the dice and enjoying the boards with my fellow promoters.
Thanks for following!

BDW Presents: The Western Highway Tour (3) 04.11.2016 from Los Angeles, CA
As the show opens Dave Marquez is in the ring with Percy Pringle.
DM: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the Western Highway. We are one step closer to the Red Carpet Rumble to crown our champion. However, as you well know, we’re about so much more than that… And one of the rivalries, hell out and out feuds, making headlines involved my guest and his Dynasty against the Bullet Club. Now, Mr. Pringle has petitioned me to ban the Bullet Club… But that’s simply something I cannot do. But before you get too bent out of shape, Percy, I assure you there will be repercussions. First of which, I’m giving you the mic to speak your mind to the Bullet Club...
PP: Thank you, Dave… It’s good enough for now… Adam Cole! Young Bucks! You think I’m afraid! You think the Pringle Dynasty fears you! I think you’ve got things twisted around… You see, boys, I’ve seen it all in this business… Princes. Kings. Risk takers. Heartbreakers. Warriors. Assassins. Madmen. And Dead-men… And this Bullet Club fad of yours… Your string of broken bodies and hostile takeovers… It will get you nowhere! Because I will raise up an army against you! Oh yes! And I will fight fire with fire and there’s nothing you or you, Dave Marquez, or you, Masked Man, can do about it! They want us to fight over this Dragon Road? Well, fine! So be it. Shots fired, we hear you loud and clear! Percy’s Army is ready! Are you Bullet Club? Are you? Because I think you’re a bunch of young punks who just bit off more than you can chew!
The Bullet Club makes their way out to the ramp and Nick Jackson has the mic.
NJ: Chew? Yeah, you’d know plenty about chewing wouldn’t you? MJ: Or maybe not, maybe that’s his problem, he just swallows it whole. NJ: Good one. Good one.
Adam Cole smirks and Nick hands him the mic.
AC: You want to get serious, Percy? You want to get real, BDW? Ok, here’s the shoot… When you decide to open a battleground and set up the prizes and then invite all comers, it’s only natural that the most blood-thirsty, power-hungry, main event making scoundrels in the business show up! You all thought you were getting nice Adam Cole. Well, I’ve got news for all of you… That Adam Cole is a myth! A myth you made up because you looked around and realized all your so called heroes are pathetic. Your fan-favorites are boring. And if there’s one thing I will never be… It’s boring! I came here to BDW for one reason and one reason only… To become a king… And when you go to war, you bring an army… And I’ve got the best! And make no mistake! We are only getting started! And Mike Quackenbush! You think you’re holding the Bucks down by not letting them in your little tournament! You just gave them nothing to lose. And if you thought they were dangerous before… Percy you want a war? You got it… Just remember, you might have guns… But we got all the bullets…
Pringle is sneering at Cole, but has no response.
Dave Marquez then informs PP3 that if he can find partners for Shaun Ricker he’ll grant a 6-man rematch tonight on the Western Highway! And it will be No DQ!
- Twin Roads Tournament Block B - Beaver Boys vs. Irish Airborne Dave Crist defeated John Silver with a DQ at 6:24 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: The Beaver Boys come into this match with an upset win over War Machine, while OI4K's Irish Airborne had a bye in the first round.
Alex Reynolds came out on fire against Dave Crist, but a crucial tag brought Jake in and swung the momentum to Irish Airborne.
John Silver evened the odds a bit, but Jake took over on the outside and would crank in a dragon sleeper that left Silver hurting.
Good tag work saw the Crist brothers his a shoot kick followed by a moonsault... Cover!
Alex Reynolds pulls the ref from the ring and when the ref gets in his face, he pushes him down!
The ref calls for the bell and Irish Airborne pick up a win in the Twin Road Kings' tournament!
Rhia O'Reilly vs. Mia Yim Mia Yim defeated Rhia O'Reilly with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER at 10:33 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Solid bout that saw O'Reilly wrestling Yim in the opening moments, but Mia turned it around with a spinning backlist and stout power bomb!
She used power moves and holds to try to establish dominance early, but Rhia came back with some suplexes of her own and hit a Finlay Roll, but she played to the crowd and gave Mia an opening.
The finishing stretch saw Mia hit a PACAKGE PILEDRIVER, but Rhia surprised the crowd with a kickout! Mia lost it and hit two spinning Seoul kicks followed by another PACKAGE PILEDRIVER for the 1, 2, 3!
Saraya is out and attacks Mia! But Leva makes the save! They're going at it... Rhia and Saraya set up a table in the ring, but Leva decks Saray! Mia ducks a bottle shot from Rhia... She sets her up on the turnbuckle... No! PACAKGE PILEDRIVER from the turnbuckle through the table!
Rhia has to be stretchered out and this one went from bad to worse after the Double DQ match earlier in the tour.
[Rhia is out for 3!]
- Twin Roads Tournament Block A - Reno Scum vs. Catch Point Adam Thornstowe defeated Drew Gulak with a SCUM STOMP at 2:34 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Both teams come in with a win in the first round. Thornstowe and Gulak start things off.
Adam flips him off and hit a chop, but Gulak tries to rebound off the ropes with a splash, but Thornstowe catches him with a kick!
Thornstowe pressed his advantage and even went up top.
FROG SPLASH! Williams breaks up the count, but as he's jawing with the ref, Luster comes in... SCUM STOMP!
The ref turns around: 1, 2, 3!
What a win? Williams is hot and Reno Scum laughs as they head off victorious to the back.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Roderick Strong Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Roderick Strong with a CROSS ARMBREAKER at 7:45 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: This was a fight. The stakes felt high from the get go as Strong reversed a hold and hit Death By Roderick for a near fall! Olympic Slam! 1,2... No!
SICK KICK! Oh my god! Strong is bringing it, but ZSJ kicks out!!!!
Against all odds, Sabre would mount a comeback and slowly but surely dismantled Strong. He almost got the tap out with a CROSS ARMBREAKER, but Strong made the ropes.
Perhaps sensing the need to get it over with quickly, ZSJ got aggressive when Strong rolled out and dropped Roderick on the outside with a Sabre driver!
After nearly scoring a contour victory, he slapped on another CROSS ARMBREAKER and Strong had to tap!
BACKSTAGE PP3 is backstage talking on his phone. “I know you’re not scheduled tonight, but how would you like to be? I’ll make it worth your while. And it’s not like you don’t have reason to hate the Young Bucks from what I hear. Oh, we’ll see to that. It’s a Pringle Guarantee…
Jessicka Havok vs. Madison Eagles Jessicka Havok defeated Madison Eagles with a Triple Kick Combo at 20:18 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Havok and Eagles came up short in the Queens Road tournament, but the winner of this bout could easily establish themselves as an early contender for a title shot once the Queen is crowned.
Havok came out hot and hit HAVOKILLER early, but Eagles kicked out! She'd get another near fall with a Demon Drop.
The pace slowed when Havok went up top, but Eagles knocked her off to the mat.
Eagles was hurting but rallied back and nearly got the fall with HELLBOUND! She almost submitted Havok with the cattle mutilation, but Havok was still in the match.
They started brawling at ringside and went back and forth both in and out of the ring.
Neither woman was giving an inch.
Madison would come back and hit a big running boot, but Havok rolled out and then pulled Eagles out after her and slammed her into the post!
Eagles was hurt and Havok capitalized! Big choke slam! Working a camel clutch... Eagles is almost out... Side slam! Triple Kick Combo and Eagles is on dream street!
1, 2, 3!
Jessica Havok gets a hard fought win in a great match.
Afterwards she stands over the fallen Madison Eagles and rains down kicks in a show of disrespect.
Jessie McKay is out to make the save and Havok heads for the back with a sick smile on her face.
- Twin Roads Tournament Block A - The Addiction vs. ReDRagon Bobby Fish defeated Christopher Daniels with a leg lock at 6:18 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: O'Reilly and Fish were in the zone. Kazarian tried to keep up with Fish in the early going, but the veteran got out-wrestled.
Kazarian was in trouble as redDragon worked the double-team, but he made a desperation tag to Daniels in hopes of evening the score.
O'Reilly got dumped outside and Daniels even hit BME, but O'Reilly came roaring back and nearly tore Daniels' arm off with ARMAGEDDON!
Kazarian saved his partner not once, but twice. In the end, however, it was the tag work of redDragon that spelled doom for Daniels as they worked over his legs with stereo leg sweeps and a double leg DDT!
Fish slapped on a leg lock while O'Reilly knocked Kazarian from the apron and the Fallen Angel tapped out.
Strong win from the former ROH tag champs.
IN RING W/ AMBER GERTNER
Amber Gertner is with Barbi Hayden in the ring.
AG: Barbi, right now you have to be living the dream. You’ve made it to the finals of the Queens Road and will meet Cheerleader Melissa to crown the first Queen’s Road Champion in San Francisco.
BH: Amber, I’m feeling great. I’m riding high. I don’t think a lot of people expected me to make it this far. They take one look at this face and don’t take it seriously. But Cheerleader Melissa… She better take it seriously! I beat Mercedes Martinez! I beat Madison Eagles! Two of the very best in the world. And come San Francisco, everyone will know this Barbi… Is a Queen!
Cheerleader Melissa is out! She stares Barbi down as Amber evacuates the ring. It’s Allysin Kay! Allysin Kay has ambushed Melissa! Barbi doesn’t quite know what to make of it… Mercedes Martinez is out and attacks Kay! Barbi is out of the ring and it looks like she might be trying to tend to Melissa as Kay and Martinez go at it, but Melissa is having none of it! Melissa is all over Hayden. Officials are out and separate the women…
It’s Trish Stratus!
TS: Ladies! I think we all know what’s about to happen here… If you want a fight… You’ll have a fight. Melissa and Mercedes versus Allysin Kay and Barbi Hayden! And to keep things really interesting… If one of you two (she points to Martinez and Kay) scores the pinfall… You’ll be added to the number one contenders match at the Queens Road to make it a Triple Threat match!
Timothy Thatcher vs. Joey Ryan Timothy Thatcher defeated Joey Ryan with a London Bridge is Falling Down at 22:07 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Wow. Timothy Thatcher gave Joey Ryan a lesson in mat wrestling. But Ryan would not give up. In spite of being stretched every which way, he would not tap.
Thatcher's frustration built to the point that he resulted in brawling on the outside multiple times and though Joey tried to come back, he could never sustain any offense.
Finally, after trying his finisher and multiple submission moves, Thatcher flipped the script and hit London Bridge is Falling Down to get the win.
Joey Ryan was in a bad way after this one.
Cheerleader Melissa and Mercedes Martinez vs. Barbi Hayden and Allysin Kay Allysin Kay defeated Mercedes Martinez with a DQ at 9:27 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Man, this one was off to an excellent start. Melissa and Kay went back and forth before Melissa took over and worked the tag to her advantage.
Martinez looked good, but Hayden would come in and battle her toe to toe.
Kay came back in and Martinez would hit a brutal jaw-jacking strike off the ropes that sent Kay heading for the outside.
Martinez followed and they brawled at ringside. Eventually, Mercedes had enough and grabbed a chair, but the ref was having none of it. Martinez looked like she'd relent, but she pushed the ref and smacked Kay with the steel!
The bell was called for and Allysin Kay just punched her ticket to a #1 contender's match! Martinez doesn't even look like she cares. Melissa is trying to figure out what the hell is going on and Martinez threatens her with the chair!
Hayden is in the ring and as Martinez leaves the ringside area Melissa turns her focus back to her opponent at the Queen's Road Festival...
Barbi Hayden. Cheerleader Melissa. Who will be the first Queen's Road Champion?!?
Chris Hero vs. Chris Sabin Chris Hero defeated Chris Sabin with a DEATH BLOW at 9:18 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Wow. Great match. Spilling out of the war between ZSJ and Chris Hero, the rivalry between Hero and Chris Sabin has taken on a life of it’s own. Sabin is one of the only men to hold pinfalls over Hero and the war of words between the two has furthered the feud.
It went back and forth early on and it looked to be anyone's game.
Hero was taking some punishment at Sabin was able to his a German suplex and a ring-shaking sit-out power bomb.
Hero came roaring back, tho, and would hit a huge CYCLONE KILL off the ropes, but only got 2!
He went for it again and again only scored a 2 count!
Hero was shocked and Sabin was showing some life, even giving him the finger!
Hero was enraged and took him outside and hit a big boot while Sabin was leaning against the ring post! Sabin was busted open!
He barely made it back into the ring, but when he did he asked for more and Hero obliged him. DEATH BLOW!
1...2... NO!
Hero cannot believe it! Fans are in shock!
DEATHBLOW! 1, 2, 3!
Wow... It took everything Hero had to put Chris Sabin away, but maybe now, he'll set his sights 100% on Zack Sabre Jr...
Sabin, bloody and hurting, needs to be helped from the ring.
Adam Cole and The Young Bucks vs. Shaun Ricker and RPG Vice Nick Jackson defeated Shaun Ricker with a NSYNC at 12:20 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Wow! Rappongi Vice has joined Pringle's Dynasty! Is it one-night only? Or is this a new part of the stable. They certainly have history with the Young Bucks...
And that history brought a lot to the table as Trent and Matt one hold for hold back and forth.
Slick tag work by the Bucks, though, brought them the advantage and in spite of tag work from RPG Vice, it wasn't to be.
Romero nearly got his head kicked in after Early Onset Alzheimer's followed by a super kick party! Adam Cole nearly caved his skull in with a super kick to the back of the head!
Shaun Ricker tried to get something started for his team, but Adam Cole bay-bay!
Cole tortured Ricker and used a combination of high impact moves and worked over the leg with the figure four. He scored numerous near falls, but RIcker proved resilient.
Still, tag work from Bullet Club brought numerous double-team moves and it spelled doom for the weakened Ricker. NSync brought the end as the Nick Jackson got the 1, 2, 3.
Bullet Club celebrated in the ring as Pringle looked on in disbelief. Shaun Ricker, his golden boy was barely able to walk and his new tag team was at a loss...
Overall Card Rating: 3.20

BDW Presents: The Western Highway Tour (4) 04.12.2016 from San Diego, CA
The show opens with a video package of recent events concerning the Bullet Club and Pringle's Dynasty. It ends with these two clips:
ADAM COLE: Percy Pringle, you want to build a dynasty? The Bullet Club isn’t lacking for members, either! Tonight, we’ll add to the ranks. A Hangman. A Villain. And this is only the beginning. So, if your Dynasty still even exists after the way we took out Roppongi Vice and Shaun Ricker, bring it. Meanwhile, at the Red Carpet Rumble, I will enter at number 30 and I will exit the Western Highway Champion!
PERCY PRINGLE: Bullet Club, the Pringle Dynasty will take this newest setback in stride. Oh yes! Because I know that my boy Shaun is chomping at the bit to go through 29 other men at the RCR to become the Western Highway champ and deny the Bullet Club any chance of controlling the West!
Dave Marquez then welcomes us to the Western Highway and announces a series of matches pitting the new members of the Bullet Club against the new hired guns of the Pringle Dynasty.
- Twin Road Kings Tournament Block B - Devastation Corporation vs. RPG Vice Rocky Romero defeated Flex Rumblecrunch with a STRONG ZERO at 16:04 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Fantastic opener! Roppongi Vice comes into this after a seemingly one-night-only teaming with Pringle's Dynasty in a losing effort against the Bullet Club.
Devastation Corp scored a big win over the American Wolves in their first tournament match.
It really was a story of power versus agility and power won out almost every time. Flex and Blaster used smart tag work and grinding power moves to lay a heavy beating on both Trent and Rocky, with Rocky taking the brunt of the punishment.
But a desperation tag and a missed opportunity from Dev Corp led to Trent and Rocky turning the tables.
A huge dive from Trent spelled doom and he and Rocky hit STRONG ZERO for a big comeback win!
- Twin Road Kings Tournament Block A - Team Tremendous vs. The Briscoes Bill Carr defeated Jay Briscoe with a DQ at 1:09 Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: Wow! Team Tremendous came out of the gate with lightning tag work and Jay rolled outside after 10-80.
Bill Carr followed and Jay slammed him through a table and pushed the referee aside to continue his assault drawing a DQ! The Briscoes were hot, but Dave Marquez stayed silent. Even as the Briscoes hurled obscenities at him when they walked to the back.
Dan Barry helped Carr up and they now have a win in the tournament while the Briscoes draw their first loss in controversial fashion.
Marty Scurll vs. Ricky Starks Ricky Starks defeated Marty Scurll with THE BUSTER KEATON at 14:55 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Marty Scurll makes his debut as a member of the Bullet Club! And Percy Pringle, not to be outdone, brings in his newest Dynasty member, Ricky Starks. Starks hasn't appeared on the Dragon Road since our inaugural card, but he certainly impressed in a match with Davey Vega.
He came out of the gate swinging and tried to put Scurll away early with consecutive Implant DDTs, but didn't go for the cover.
They went back and forth as Marty rallied and hit huge dive that had both men laid out on the arena floor.
Scurll recovered well and looked to have the match in hand, but things turned on a dime and Starks was back in it with another DDT from nowhere and scored a near fall. He worked a sleeper and tried to put Scurll out, but the Villain found a way to stay alive.
He came back with an enzugiri from no where and followed it with a sexton and a jackknife power bomb!
Percy Pringle rang the timekeeper's bell and the ref was distracted from the count!
Scurll is up and the Young Bucks are complaining and Matt chases Percy!
Starks hits the BUSTER KEATON!
But Nick Jackson is in the ref's face!
Chaos is ensuing. Finally, the ref sends the Bucks and Pringle to the back!
Before they can all reach the exit, tho, Starks hits THE BUSTER KEATON again!
1, 2, 3!
The Pringle Dynasty/Bullet Club war keeps escalating and for the first time in a while, Pringle comes out on top, but not without a dash of interference.
Adam Page vs. Eddie Kingston Eddie Kingston defeated Adam Page with a BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE at 1:06 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Whoa.
Page came out cocky and hit a series of chops, but Kingston laughed them off and hit a huge lariat that flipped Page out of his boots. Near fall!
BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE!
Matt Jackson jumps up on the apron, but Kingston knocks him off with a backfist!
Another one to Page!
1, 2, 3!
Percy Pringle has chosen wisely as he bolsters the ranks of Pringle's Dynasty with Ricky Starks and Eddie Kingston. Guns for hire, no doubt, but effective.
VIDEO PACKAGE
ALLYSIN KAY: Mercedes Martinez… You want to hit me with a chair? You’re dumber than you look! Not only do you push me to the #1 contender’s match, but you pissed me off. You better watch your back, too. Because tonight… The Midwest Militia comes to BDW!

TRISH STRATUS: There’s been a lot going on on the Queen’s Road. There’s no doubt these women want to make their mark. In the ring, out of the ring, and with chairs. Mercedes Martinez, you robbed yourself of the chance to be in a #1 contender’s match. But, apparently, fortune is still shining on you. Because your former partner, Cheerleader Melissa, has requested a match. So tonight, they’ll go one on one. The hitch is, I only agreed because if Mercedes beats Melissa, she’ll get into that #1 contender’s match after all!
cut to
MERCEDES MARTINEZ: Melissa… We’re not friends. Never have been friends. But excellence seeks excellence and we had each others backs when it counted. Now, you have a spot I want and I’ll do whatever it takes to get there. As for Allysin Kay and her Midwest Militia… (Mercedes smiles and holds up three fingers.)
- Twin Road Kings Tournament Block B - War Machine vs. RockNES Monsters This match ended in a draw (TIME LIMIT DRAW) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Unreal. It looked like the RockNES Monsters might be out-gunned, but they would not give up and gave as good as they got.
Too much great action to call it all. Lots of reversals and back and forth. Each team got stretches of sustained offense and scored near falls, but neither would stay down. There were excellent displays of tag work on both teams parts, too.
The kept it in the ring and wrestled clean wanting to avoid any of the shenanigans from earlier in the night.
In the finishing stretch Goodtime would hit two TOP ROPE KNEE DROPS, but Rowe got the shoulder up once and then Hanson saved him the second time.
War Machine roared back and it looked like Rowe was about to put Yuma away after a ring shaking Avalanche belly to belly, but it spilled outside and as they began brawling the ref warned them.
It started to look like we would see a DQ Or countout, but the bell rang and we have a time limit draw!
Incredible bout.
VIDEO PACKAGE
CH: Chris Sabin… Your blood stains my elbow pad. And even I have to admit, you earned my respect. I respect the fact that you can take a Chris Hero beating. Like so many before and so many after. But now it’s time to focus on the one that brought me here. Zack Sabre Jr. We’ve warred at the crossroads, in the North, and now in the West. Where does all this go? Do we rumble around the world? Or do we find a place to have our final battle? Tonight, Roderick Strong and I will see you in the ring, and at the Red Carpet Rumble, maybe we’ll get lucky enough to share that ring. But numbers be damned, I’m planning on walking out the Western Highway Champ and you won’t stand in my way!
Mercedes Martinez vs. Cheerleader Melissa Mercedes Martinez defeated Cheerleader Melissa with a Count Out at 6:52 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Melissa was not f'n around. There's definitely tons of hate between these two now. There may never have been any love, but there was respect.
Melissa brutalized her up front and went for a curb stomp and a near fall.
She kept the pressure on and took her out of the ring and slammed her into the guardrail multiple times.
Back inside she went for the AIR RAID CRASH and that's when Martinez's friends showed up. Nicole Savoy and Shayna Baszler!
The Trifecta is on the Dragon Road!
Melissa fought off Savoy's interference while Shayna distracted the ref.
But it gave Martinez some much needed recovery time and she roared back to life with a succession of brutal chops.
Melissa rolled out and like a shark smelling blood in the water, Mercedes followed her and hit a sick brain buster on the floor!
She rolled back in and the ref's count reached 20!
The Trifecta celebrated in the ring while officials and Trish Stratus checked on Melissa...
MIDWEST MILITIA! Kay, Havok, and Sassy Stephie are out and brawling with the Trifecta!
Martinez has made her way into a #1 Contender's match with this win and Kay will be one of her opponents!
As officials get the six women separated, Trish has a mic.
TS: Ladies! At the Red Carpet Rumble, I'm putting the 6 of you in a tag team elimination match! And Mercedes, you're in the triple threat with Kay... The third woman in the match? I'll guess you'll have to wait and see!
Adam Pearce and James Morgan vs. Brian Cage and Michael Elgin vs. Johnny Gargano and Rich Swann Johnny Gargano defeated Michael Elgin with a GARGANO ESCAPE at 15:17 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Lots going on heading into this one. The Family Stone has had a beef with the Unbreakable F'N Machines since the beginning of the tour and Johnny Gargano was so very close to becoming the Northern Highway Champ, but Elgin prevented that from happening.
Morgan and Cage started things off and surprisingly, Morgan kept Cage on his heels for a while. Cage was able to get a short flurry and tag in Elgin, but Morgan and Pearce worked well together to keep the Northern Highway Champ on the defensive for the most part. Swann and Gargano were chomping at the bit to get tagged in.
Eventually, Swann came in and Pearce was able to keep him on his heels. Pearce eventually came back in a big way on Morgan and then he and Gargano worked over Pearce.
Elgin, still hurting on the apron, was blind tagged by Scrap Iron, tho and Gargano went right after him! He punished the NH Champ and then slapped on GARGANO ESCAPE!
Swann flew across the ring with a dive into the opponents and Elgin tapped out!
Big win for Gargano! Elgin is hurting and Gargano picks up some huge momentum going into the Red Carpet Rumble!
The Family Stone look irate and Stu Stone is berating the ref, but it's all over. Swann and Gargano celebrate in the ring.

LEVA BATES: Sweet Saraya. We all know there’s nothing sweet about you. You’re a schoolyard bully and everyone has got to be looking at me like the underdog… Thing is, even schoolyard bullies get what’s coming to them on occasion. Mia and I aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty, Rhia O’Reilly can attest to that! So tonight, San Diego Street Fight, I’ll give as good as I get.
cut to
SARAYA KNIGHT: Leva Bates. Mia Yim. Never thought you’d have it in you. Putting Rhia on the shelf does tip the odds… In MY favor! I will destroy you tonight, Leva Bates. And when I’m done, Mia, you’re the next c**t I’m kicking in.
- San Diego Street Fight - Saraya Knight vs. Leva Bates Leva Bates defeated Saraya Knight with a Superhero Kick at 12:18 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Leva Bates and Mia Him have declared war on Saraya Knight and Rhia O'Reilly. So far they're ahead by putting Rhia on the shelf in retaliation for coming after Mia with a broken bottle. Tonight would go a long way to establishing dominance in that war.
Leva came out dressed as Ralph from A Christmas Story!?! Some folks in the crowd got a kick out of it, while others wondered if she shouldn't be taking Saraya in a street fight more seriously. She started off hot, tho, and scored a near fall in the opening moments, but Saraya wasn't going down that easy.
They battled back and forth, but Saraya struggled to get anything of substance started.
Leva wore her down by working the body scissors and targeted the head and neck with an array of head scissors, chin busters, and face breakers. She also clocked her with a Superhero Kick which would actually be the move that scored Leva Bates an excellent 1, 2, 3!
Shaun Ricker and Buddy Royal vs. The Young Bucks Matt Jackson defeated Buddy Royal with an apron run kick at 7:17 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This was an interesting matchup for Pringle's Dynasty. Levi Shapiro is on the shelf after being injured but the Young Bucks and Adam Cole, but Shaun Ricker hasn't been able to get the best of Cole since their first encounter.
Cole accompanied the Bucks to ringside and Pringle was there with Ricker and Royal.
Ricker took the fight to Nick early and had things well in control. He worked the tag and Royal was able to keep the momentum going for a time, but Nick made a tag at a crucial moment and the Bucks came back to life.
The utilized the tag to work over Royal with high impact moves and it looked like it was all elementary, but Royal came back a couple of times.
In the end, Matt Jackson scored with a big apron run kick and Cole pulled Ricker from the apron as the Bucks scored the 1, 2, 3!
The Bullet Club didn't spend much time celebrating tho, as Ricky Starks and Eddie Kingston made their way out. It looks like this war may have to carry over to the Southern Highway...
Roderick Strong and Chris Hero vs. Chris Sabin and Zack Sabre Jr. Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Chris Hero with a DQ at 15:07 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: So much hate. Chris Hero tried to level Zack Sabre early in the match with skull crushing back to back DEATHBLOWS, but Sabin had his back and the match would continue.
Strong came in to keep the pressure on, but Sabre was able to make a desperate tag to Sabin and the tables turned.
Roddy and Sabin went back and forth and Sabin was able to score a near fall with HAIL SABIN.
Hero ran in to make the save and ZSJ tried to cut him off, but the ref stopped him and Hero clocked Sabin with a DEATHBLOW, but the ref wasn't on top of the count and he got the shoulder up!
Eventually Hero and Sabre were back at in the ring together and Hero was blasting him with strikes and stretching him with holds.
ZSJ rolled out to take a breather, but Hero was relentless. They brawled at ring side and Hero grabbed a chair and whacked Sabre for the DQ.
He looked to continue the onslaught, but Will Osperay ran down and he and Sabin wiped out Roddy and then double-teamed Hero.
They set up a table at ring side and Sabin hit HAIL SABIN through the table and Osperay followed with a double stomp with a chair! Sabre then locked in the ARMBREAKER! Hero was out and officials poured out to try and get them off of Hero.
Chaos ensued as Roddy was wielding a chair.
Dave Marquez was hollering at officials and promised to dole out punishment to the offenders on the next card!
Hero was in a bad bad way and had to be stretchered out.
[Hero will be out 7!! Marquez will announce punishment at the RCR!]
Overall Card Rating: 2.81

BDW Presents: The Red Carpet Rumble 04.18.2016 from Los Angeles, CA
Jessie McKay vs. Jordyne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Kelly Klein Deonna Purrazzo defeated Jordyne Grace with a FUJIWARA ARMBAR at 28:58 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: What a debut on the Dragon Road for these incredible competitors. Jessie McKay was heard from earlier on the road taking it in stride that she'd not been included in the Queen's Road Championship tournament, but now she has a chance to enter the Triple Threat match to determine a #1 contender to that title.
Lots of great action all around and there were multiple near falls towards the end. Each woman breaking up at least one pin to keep the match going and keep their hopes alive.
The finish saw Klein take a spill outside and Grace tried to steal the pin on Purrazzo, but McKay broke that up only to have Purrazzo come back out of no where and lock in the FUJIWARA ARMBAR on Grace to get the tap out victory!
Deonna Purrazzo has made a mark in her debut and has wrestled her way into a spot in the #1 contender's match!
- Twin Road Kings Tournament Block A - Catch Point vs. The Addiction Christopher Daniels defeated Tracy Williams with a DQ at 6:24 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Well, the right team won, but not how they would've liked.
Daniels and Kazarian isolated Williams and worked together to wear him down in short order. After working the double-team Daniels was back in and hit Last Rites! Williams rolled out, but he wasn't safe as Daniels hit a huge moonsault on the outside.
He rolled back in to soak in the appreciation of the crowd and when he came back out, Williams blindsided him with the ring bell in desperation!
The ref called for the DQ and Kazarian saved his partner from further damage.
Gulak did not look happy with Hot Sauce and was heard saying "That's not what Catch Point is about!"
Catch Point now finds themselves with only 2 out of a possible 6 points in the tournament...
Addiction picks up their first win here for 2 points as well, tho they had a bye in the first round.
- Twin Road Kings Tournament Block A - The Briscoes vs. Reno Scum Jay Briscoe defeated Luster the Legend with a DQ at 8:06 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Great feeling out process early on as Mark Briscoe and Adam Thornstowe proved there was more to them than meets the eye with great mat wrestling.
Eventually the Briscoe would dominate and it looked like the result would be elementary, but Luster made a quick comeback and Jay rolled outside.
Luster followed and a huge brawl broke out! Eventually Luster threw a chair at Jay and the ref called for the DQ!
This match is Reno Scum's first loss in the tournament, while the Briscoe pick up their second win.
- Twin Road Kings Tournament Block B - War Machine vs. Devastation Corporation Flex Rumblecrunch defeated Hanson with a giant claw hold at 7:33 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Two big power teams clashing and I don't know that it went the way most would've predicted.
Blaster and Hanson traded blows early with neither getting the edge, but eventually Devastation Corporation began to dominate and didn't look back. They kept Hanson cut off from his partner and even tho he tried to come back, it wasn't happening for long.
They brutalized him and Flex got the win with the giant claw hold as Blaster kept Rowe from making the save.
Big win. Dev Corp now has two wins and a loss, while War Machine has a win, a loss, and a draw.
Mercedes Martinez, Nicole Savoy, and Shayna Baszler vs. Allysin Kay, Jessicka Havok, and Sassy Stephie Mercedes Martinez defeated Allysin Kay with a DQ at 8:39 Jessicka Havok defeated Mercedes Martinez with a Count Out at 22:00 This match ended in a draw (TIME LIMIT DRAW) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: The hate between the Midwest Militia and the Trifecta might not have a long history, but it's had a short fuse and is ready to explode.
Savoy and Stephie started things off and it went back and forth. Kay came in, but a hot tag to Martine damn near brought the house down.
Mercedes went on the warpath, but it spilled outside and things got nasty! Kay grabbed a pipe from under the ring and smashed Mercedes in the side with it! The ref DQ'd Kay, but Havok held Martinez while she hit her again!
Mercedes was in a bad bad way and Havok punished her for a while until Mercedes made a comeback against all odds.
It wasn't enough, tho and as action spilled out again Havok piledrived Mercedes on the floor for a count out.
Back inside Shayna Baszler dominated for a while and looked to have a bead on Havok, but the Militia would come back and worked over Shayna something fierce! She would not stay down, tho and kept getting the shoulder up!
Both teams, minus their "leaders" soldiered on and went back and forth until the bell rang signaling the time had expired!
Martinez was in the back getting medical attention and it was later announced she'd be out for 6!
Savoy and Baszler have already challenged Havok and Stephie to another match.
Will Trish grant it?
Shaun Ricker vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Bateman vs. ACH vs. Adam Cole vs. Big Duke vs. Brian Myers vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Colt Cabana vs. Drew Galloway vs. Drew Gulak vs. James Morgan vs. Jervis Cottonbelly vs. Joey Ryan vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Kyle O'Reilly vs. Kenny Omega vs. Pretty Peter Avalon vs. Ryan Taylor vs. Roderick Strong vs. Sasha Darevko vs. Timothy Thatcher vs. Trent Barreta vs. Tommy End vs. Ricochet vs. Brian Cage vs. Cedric the Hitman vs. Excalibur vs. Matt Riddle vs. The Hobo Bateman defeated Shaun Ricker with an Elimination Bateman defeated Scorpio Sky with an Elimination Chuck Taylor defeated Bateman with an eliminationation Chuck Taylor defeated Ryan Taylor with an Elimination Drew Galloway defeated Big Duke with an Elimination Joey Ryan defeated Drew Galloway with an elimination Joey Ryan defeated Cedric the Hitman with an Elimination James Morgan defeated Joey Ryan with an elimination James Morgan defeated Chuck Taylor with an elimination Trent Barreta defeated James Morgan with an elimination Colt Cabana defeated Excalibur with an elimination Trent Barreta defeated Tommy End with an elimination Johnny Gargano defeated Pretty Peter Avalon with an elimination Colt Cabana defeated Trent Barreta with an elimination Johnny Gargano defeated Sasha Darevko with an elimination Trent Barreta defeated Roderick Strong with an elimination The Hobo defeated Brian Myers with an elimination The Hobo defeated Jervis Cottonbelly with an elimination Johnny Gargano defeated Trent Barreta with an elimination Matt Riddle defeated Kyle O'Reilly with an elimination Johnny Gargano defeated The Hobo with an elimination Drew Gulak defeated Timothy Thatcher with an elimination Drew Gulak defeated Johnny Gargano with an elimination Matt Riddle defeated Drew Gulak with an elimination Kenny Omega defeated Ricochet with an elimination Matt Riddle defeated Brian Cage with an elimination Adam Cole defeated ACH with an Elimination Kenny Omega defeated Matt Riddle with an elimination Kenny Omega defeated Adam Cole with an ONE WINGED ANGEL at 52:09 Match Notes: Fast paced rumble with lots of eliminations coming in rapid succession. Felt like there were never more than 5 or 6 men in the ring at once.
Johnny Gargano was the iron man and lasted the longest for sure. Over 30 minutes. He spent most of that taking a beating, but somehow avoiding elimination. He even took a couple people out when he had a flurry of offense.
The final three came down to Matt Riddle, who also lasted a long time, Kenny Omega, a surprise entrant, and #30, Adam Cole.
Cole and Omega double-teamed Riddle and Omega snuck up behind him to get the elimination.
This left Cole and Omega... Are they on the same side? Is Kenny Bullet Club on the Dragon Road?
Whatever the case may be, Omega came out strong and hit the fireman carry into a moonsault followed by the ONE WINGED ANGEL to get the win!
Kenny Omega is the Western Highway Champion! He wasn't even an announced entrant.
Adam Cole is fired up, but the Young Bucks are out to try and calm him down. Marty Scurll and Adam Page are also in the ring.
Matt Jackson is heard saying "What's good for one of us is good for all of us."
Eventually Cole simmers down and slaps hands with Omega. He leaves the ring with Page and Scurll as the Bucks help Omega celebrate in the ring and the show comes to a close.
Overall Card Rating: 3.30
[Couple of quick show notes: The order of entry got screwed up above and it would've been crazy trying to fix it all from memory. The eliminations are in the right order, tho, so that gives you an idea of who was in when and how long. To a degree. I used a name randomizer on the internet to pick the names at random. Ricker, Scorpio Sky, and Bateman were 1-3 as determined by matches, tho and Brian Cage, ACH, and Adam Cole were 28, 29, & 30. Ricker was eliminated first which was a big shock. Had no clue that Omega would come in at 26 and win the whole thing. That was completely unexpected. Gargano had 8 tokens by the end of the match. Insane. Matt Riddle and Trent Beretta were also stars in that match and the Hobo had a great run, too. Not sure if I prefer the RCR format to the old school Battle Royal rules, but it definitely had it's moments.]

Battle Royals of any kind are always a lot of fun, even though they can present a bit of a challenge trying to keep track of everything that goes down... Very cool that the Cleaner, being a surprise entry, was able to win the whole thing... It looks like Cole took it well, but how long before he expects a shot at the belt?
Excellent show!
