Thanks, man. It'll be interesting to see where Cole goes from here. Especially since the Bullet Club has doubled in size in the span of a few cards. Of course, now that Omega has the Western Highway Championship, he's punched his ticket to the King's Road Championship Final at the end of the tour. I think there's a good chance Cole will get invited to go after one of the other Highway titles for that same honor...

BDW Presents: The Queen's Road Festival 04.20.2016 from San Francisco, CA
- Twin Road Queens Championship Tournmament - The Pink Ladies vs. Lucha Sisters This match ended in a draw (Double DQ) at 6:44 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Things got off to a good start as Yim took the fight to McKay, but a misstep cost her and McKay made the tag to Eagles which brought on a world of pain for Yim.
The double team of the Pink Ladies had Yim reeling and Eagles kept the pressure on with big strikes and sick submissions.
A tag to McKay spelled doom as they hit a double roundhouse kick and went for a cover!
Bates came in to break up the fall and all hell broke loose! Eagles and Bates came to blows and as the ref tried to separate them he got clocked by them both!
He called for the DQ and threw the match out for both teams! One tag team just got a whole lot lighter of an evening with a bye in the next round!
- Twin Road Queens Championship Tournament - Global Green Gangsters vs. Canadian Ninjas Kellie Skater defeated Portia Perez with an INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT at 25:06 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: What a great tag contest! These four women tore it up and it was anybody's match.
Skater and Nakagawa absorbed a lot of punishment, but came back in big ways with their double team moves.
At one point, Matthews hit the VANCOUVER MANEUVER and it looked like it was all over, but Skater made the save for her partner.
The finishing stretch saw Perez come off the top only for Nakagawa to roll through for a cover and then apply her finisher! Matthews was able to break it up, but when going for a clothesline accidentally hit Perez! Nakagawa used the CBD again! But Perez made the ropes!
She dropped Perez with a fisherman's suplex and made the tag! Double thrust kicks! INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT from Skater! 1, 2, 3!
What a match! Team 3G cruises to the finals with this win after the double DQ earlier!
- BACKSTAGE - Amber Gertner is backstage with a newcomer to BDW, the Scottish Daredevil, Kay Lee Ray!
Kay Lee tells Amber that she's honored to be here and compete on the Queen's Road and looks forward to the competition.
Amber asks her if there's anyone she's interested in facing anyone in particular and Ray responds that with the roster, there's too many choices to single any one talent out, but she's sure her first match will set the tone and she's eager to step into the BDW ring.
- Twin Road Queens Championship Tournament - Team Slap Happy vs. MSEERIE MsChif defeated Heidi Lovelace with a DESECRATER at 10:06 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Things got off to a hot start as Lovelace took the fight to MsChif and even scored with a FROG SPLASH for a near fall.
Some double team work would lead to another near fall from Evie, but MsChif would come back and make a tag to Von Eerie who came in a cleaned house!
She hit a series of high impact moves on Lovelace and a near fall of her own after a big knee strike.
The double team from MsChif and Von Eerie would lead to a DESECRATER from MsChif, but Evie was able to break up the pin.
A second DESECRATER was a different story and Lovelace fell for a 1, 2, 3.
MSEERIE moves on!
- Twin Road Queens Championship Tournament - Midwest Militia vs. Trifecta Shayna Baszler defeated Jessicka Havok with a KNEE BAR at 20:46 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: There's no end to the hate these two teams have for one another. The Midwest Militia nearly put Mercedes Martinez on the shelf, but she'll compete in spite of bruised ribs in a #1 contender's match later tonight.
This one was mostly a brawl with Savoy looking very impressive early and lots of great tag work by both teams.
The story boiled down to Baszler and Havok as there was a spot outside when Baszler not only chop blocked Havok, but would wedge her leg in the guardrail and then jumped on the knee!
Havok was in pain and Shayna used the KNEE BAR, but Havok made the ropes. Barely!
Some crazy double teaming by Baszler and Savoy punished the leg even more and when Savoy locked in the KNEE BAR again, Savoy cut off the ring, and Havok had to tap. She needed help to the back.
Great showing from Trifecta and a nice measure of revenge for their captain. Of course Martinez and Kay will be two fo the participants in the triple threat match later, so this war still has acts left to play out.
- BACKSTAGE - Amber Gertner is with Trish Stratus...
AG: Trish, you asked me for some time on the mic. What's up?
TS: Well, Amber, after our first match ended in the double DQ, people assumed that 3G would get a bye into the final round. But since we're doing a one night tournament for our Twin Road Queens, that hardly seems fair. So I'm making it official... MsEerie will face Trifecta... AND Team 3G, the Global Green Gangsters in a Three-Way Dance with elimination rules in our semi-main event to crown the first Twin Road Queens!
- #1 Contender Triple Threat Match - Allysin Kay vs. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mercedes Martinez Mercedes Martinez defeated Allysin Kay with a 3 Amigas at 14:12 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: This match started off with Deonna Purrazzo taking the fight to Martinez and hitting a variety of strikes and then her own set of Three Amigas!
She would later hit a trio of German Suplexes on Kay to cement the big statement.
There were plenty of near falls and Martinez even hit two straight FISHERMAN BUSTERS on Kay, but it wasn't enough!
There was plenty of brawling out of the ring, too. Ultimately, Purrazzo was coming on strong, but Martinez through her out of the ring and hit the 3 Amigas on Kay for the 1, 2, 3!
Martinez is the number one contender and pinned Kay to do so! Trifecta stands tall tonight, but Purrazzo is not happy outside the ring. She looked great tonight, and you gotta think, she's at the top of Trish Stratus' list in the line of potential contenders after Martinez gets her shot...
First, tho, we need to crown a Queen's Road Champion!
- Twin Road Queens Tournament Final - Trifecta vs. Global Green Gangsters vs. MSEERIE Nicole Savoy defeated Christina Von Eerie with a DRAGON SUPLEX at 21:51 Shayna Baszler defeated Kellie Skater with an ARM BAR at 32:10 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: This was wild all the way. Lots of great brawling in and out of the ring and some amazing spots and double teams.
At one point early in the match MsChif came in and screamed right in Nicole Savoy's face only to be met with a big Tiger suplex!
Von Eerie absorbed an incredible amount of punishment including double team thrust kicks from 3G and a wicked looking powerbomb from Skater to Nakagawa's knees.
Savoy and Baszler continued to look good as a team, but 3G was dominant and took the fight right back to Trifecta.
Eventually, Savoy finished Von Eerie off with two back to back DRAGON SUPLEXES. No one could believe Von Eerie kicked out of the first, but the second left little doubt and her partner had to help her to the back.
Trifecta. 3G. It all comes down to this.
Incredible action as 3G worked so smoothly together and tore Savoy apart! Desperate for a tag she couldn't seem to make, it looked like 3G would take the title of Twin Road Queens.
Nakagawa hit a brutal sliding lariat and made the cover, but Baszler was in for the save, Skater was in! All four women in the ring. The ref is trying to restore order...
Wait a minute! Here come the Midwest Militia!!!! Jessicka Havok is limping as Kay and Stephie distract the ref and other wrestlers... Havok blasts Savoy with a chair to the back!
A cover by Nakagawa! The ref turns around having missed the chair shot!
1... 2... NO!!!! Nicole Savoy gets the shoulder up! No one can believe it! Kay, Stephie, and Havok are in shock at the entry way!
Nakagawa makes a tag and Skater holds Savoy, but Savoy ducks and Skater is clocked with the running enzugiri!
A cover! 1... 2.. NO!
Savoy finally makes the tag! Baszler goes up top! Cross body! 1... 2.. NO!
Skater gets the shoulder up, but Baszler immediately transitions into the ARM BAR!
Nakagawa can't make the save! She taps!
Trifecta has won the belts! Trish Stratus arrives with the new titles and hands them over to the first ever Twin Road Queens! And Mercedes Martinez, the new number 1 contender is out to join her stable mates! They celebrate as an enraged Midwest Militia looks on...
Trifecta won the Twin Road Queens
- Queen's Road Championship Final - Cheerleader Melissa vs. Barbi Hayden for the Queen's Road Championship Cheerleader Melissa defeated Barbi Hayden with an AIR RAID CRASH at 28:39 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: These two women gave it everything they had and put on one hell of a match.
It went back and forth and had lots of reversals, chain wrestling, and scientific holds, but it was not all clean technical wrestling. There was plenty of brawling and strikes in and out of the ring.
Barbi came on strong, but Melissa battled back. Still Barbi would get the duke outside the ring and then roll Melissa in looking to extract more damage, but they'd see-saw for control and Melissa would then ram Barbi into the guardrail, nearly scoring a count out!
Barbi would fight back, though and hit a series of stiff boots to the face!
Melissa would come back and hit a curb stomp out of no where! She couldn't capitalize, though, and the match continued as these two women put on an epic battle for control.
Barbi would get the upper hand outside, smashing Melissa into the timekeepers chair and table!
Back inside, she settled into control and would hit HAYDEN'S HALO around the 19 minute mark, but Melissa got the shoulder up!
They see-sawed a bit and Melissa hit a sunset flip out of no where for another near fall!
She applied the Kondo Clutch, looking for a tap out, but Barbi would make the ropes.
After a big Samoan Drop from Melissa, Barbi rolled out, but Melissa smelled blood and followed. She grabbed the downed Barbi by the legs and then swung her repeatedly, head first, into the guardrail! It was brutal.
Back inside Barbi would try to get something started as they heaped reversal on reversal, but Melissa would score with a clothesline and then a curb stomp! She could sense the end was near...
AIR RAID CRASH!
1, 2, 3!
Cheerleader Melissa is your first Queen's Road Champion!
Trish Stratus is out with the title belt and presents it to Melissa as the fans cheer on. It's an incredible moment, but Mercedes Martinez, ribs taped, is out and simply points at the exhausted Melissa and then flashes the Trifecta sign as the show comes to a close...
Cheerleader Melissa won the Queen's Road Championship
Overall Card Rating: 3.82

Really digging the Trifecta... Thinking the trio of Martinez, Savoy and Baszler will remain a force to be reckoned with for some time... Look out Melissa!

BDW is back in session. There may be some minor format changes, but I'm still on the road to crowning the myriad champions, so feel free to get caught up or refreshed. I know it's been a while.
Our next stop is the Southern Highway and Councilor Jim Cornette has announced the names for the Double Elimination Tournament to crown the Southern Highway Champ. Remember, these Highway championships are interim titles to be held until we crown the first King's Road Champion when all our the respective Highway Champions will square off.
Jim Cornette's personal pick: Lance Hoyt Trevor Lee CW Anderson Jimmy Rave AJ Styles Keith Lee
There will be two Fatal 4-Ways to determine the 7th & 8 men: Austin Theory vs Adrian Amour vs Chip Day vs Chuck Taylor & Uhaa Nation vs Caprice Coleman vs John Skyler vs Murder 1
The first Southern Highway show lineup will be up soon! We'll have lots of tag action and Queen's Road action as well!
Edit: Dropped Ray Rowe from the second Fatal Four Way as War Machine is still in the Twin Roads Championship Tournament

BDW Presents: The Southern Highway Tour (1) 05.01.2016 from Dallas, TX
- Show Open - The Masked Man declares the Southern Highway open and commends both Dave Marquez for his Western Highway and the Red Carpet Rumble, won by Kenny Omega, and Trish Stratus for managing the Queenโs Road Festival, one of the best cards in the first season of the BDW. He then hands off the even to the Southern Highway Councilor, Jim Cornette.
Cornette confirms that the Southern Highway Championship will be decided in a Double Elimination tournament and then announces the number one seed, Lance Hoyt! He also adds that heโs thrilled to have CW Anderson as another entrant. Cornette promises a night of furious action, including two fatal four ways to decide the last two entrants in the 8-man tourney.
He doesnโt want to waste any more time, thought, and directs us to the ring to get the action started.
- Twin Roads Tournament Block B - Roppongi Vice vs. Irish Airborne Beretta defeated Jake Crist with a STRONG ZERO at 7:18 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Some really good back and forth early on. Especially between Trent and Jake. They kept catching the others kicks and then putting the leg down and going for another, eventually Trent went for an enzugiri, but Jake ducked and tossed him in the corner, he missed a running splash though and tumbled to the floor in what was the beginning of the end as he couldn't make a tag or rally and eventually Rocky tagged Trent and they hit the STRONG ZERO for the win.
Roppongi Vice remains undefeated in the tournament and at the top of block B, while Oi4K suffers their first loss.
Austin Theory vs. Adrian Armour vs. Chip Day vs. Chuck Taylor Adrian Armour defeated Chuck Taylor with a DESTRUCTO DISC at 19:51 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Hell of a fun 4-way that nearly went the 20 minute time limit instituted by Jim Cornette.
All 4 had their moments, but Adrian Armour was truly the star of the match and it paid off for him. He spent some time going back and forth with Theory, but it was his battle with Chuck Taylor that had the fans on their feet.
Nearing the end of the match all four were on rubber legs, but Taylor hit the AWFUL WAFFLE on Chip Day and fans thought it was over, but Armour came up from behind, spun him around and hit the DESTRUCTO DISC for the 1, 2, 3!
Adrian Armour has earned a spot in the Southern Highway Tournament!
Cornette immediately comes out and informs Armour that his reason for celebration may be cut a little short... Because his match is tonight! And it's against the number one seed... Lance Hoyt!
- Backstage - Cheerleader Melissa, wearing the Queenโs Road Championship, is interviewed by Amber Gertner along with Trish Stratus.
Melissa starts off by handing it to Barbi Hayden. She didnโt make it easy, but at the end of the evening, the better wrestler won and she promises to defend the Queenโs Road title against all comers.
Stratus addresses that point and says as a result of Mercedes Martinez winning the #1 contender match in San Francisco, Melissa and Martinez will meet at the Southern Highway Tour Finale, Fire on the Mountain.
Uhaa Nation vs. Caprice Coleman vs. John Skyler vs. Murder-1 This match ended in a draw (Draw) at 20:00 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Great match where all 4 competitors had their moments.
Caprice Coleman looked really good, in particular, and the final moments saw him hit Trinity on John Skyler, but by this time Coleman was hurting, too and couldn't capitalize. Nation and Murder 1 were on the outside and the bell rang as the time limit expired!
Jim Cornette came out and announced it was too bad no one would be moving on tonight. He went on to say the only fair thing to do was give Lance Hoyt the night off! He'll get a bye into the next round of the winner's bracket!
Fans didn't seem too pleased at this and the four men that had just poured out all they had in the Fatal Four Way weren't happy either.
The Masked Man made it known that it's Councilor Cornette's Highway and he can do what he likes, but that he'd have his eye on the four men for other things down the road...
- Twin Roads Tournament Block A - Sydal & Ricochet vs. Team Tremendous Bill Carr defeated Ricochet with a CARR-NADIAN DESTROYER at 4:51 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Too short to be anything substantial, but Ricochet looked great against Barry until Dan made the tag to Carr and the big man put a stop to all of Ricochet's momentum.
Sydal tried to save his partner, but after two BOOK EM DANNOs and then Bill Carr's CARR-NADIAN DESTROYER Ricochet was done for and Barry kept Sydal from breaking up another attempt.
- Twin Roads Tournament Block B - RockNES Monsters vs. American Wolves ROH Eddie Edwards defeated Johnny Yuma with a DIE HARD at 9:13 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Really good, fast paced contest.
Richards and Goodtime started it off, exchanging strikes. Goodtime went for an early pin after the Double Deuce, but to no avail.
Richards would come back and hit a suicide dive to put the momentum in the Wolves' hands... er, paws.
Edwards came in and scored a near fall, but Goodtime came back and was able to tag in Yuma. Yuma would hit a suicide dive of his own that saw the match break down into a brawl on the outside. Miraculously, Edwards came back and hit DIE HARD out of nowhere to score the 1, 2, 3!
- Southern Highway Championship Tournament Round 1 - Trevor Lee vs. Jimmy Rave Trevor Lee defeated Jimmy Rave with an ORANGE CRUSH at 22:06 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: What a great match! These guys really gave it everything they had. Right off the bat they were throwing bombs and going for covers, but neither man was able to get the fall so early.
The match had a little bit of everything and in spite of Lee hitting some big moves, he couldn't get the win. Of course, same could be said for Rave, who his 4 spears in a row! The crowd was sure he had it, but Lee was able to get the shoulder up.
He then came back and they battled back and forth with big moves until Lee hit a sunset flip for a near fall. They brawled outside and Lee came out on top, hit a killshot knee followed by the ORANGE CRUSH to finally secure the 1, 2, 3!
- Southern Highway Championship Round 1 - Keith Lee vs. C.W. Anderson Keith Lee defeated C.W. Anderson with a DQ at 2:38 Match Notes: Man, this one really seemed to have some legs. They went hold for hold, strike for strike, and seemed to be building to a great match as Anderson attempted to neutralize Lee's size and strength.
Unfortunately, CW took some shortcuts outside and got caught using a wrench from under the ring on Lee and was DQ'd!
Anderson was hot afterwards, and Cornette tried to keep him calm and let him know he'd still have a chance in the loser's bracket.
- Southern Highway Championship Round 1 - AJ Styles vs. Adrian Armour AJ Styles defeated Adrian Armour with a STYLES CLASH at 12:27 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: What a match. Adrian Armour won a lot of people over with an incredible performance here. He kicked out of two STYLES CLASHES and this was after he scored multiple near falls on Styles.
Armour kept coming back and Styles was in legit trouble at points.
The finish came after a huge plancha from Styles, a Spinal Tap and another STYLES CLASH for the 1, 2, 3.
Not a lot of people expected a different outcome here, but the fact that Armour gave Styles a run for his money had to raise some eyebrows.
Overall Card Rating: 3.64

Really like the pairing of Ricochet and Matt Sydal... And of course, it was PHENOMENAL to see AJ emerge triumphant in the closing bout... Kudos to Armour for a fine performance though... Fun times!
