Thank you, I let it slide for a long time but am not determined to get it finished up and connected to my current GWF fed. Only about another 50 cards to go I estimate!

Card 103 - Titan Sportatorium:
Tag champs, the Gamemasters, easily defend against Defiance. It’s a stroll in the park for the Gamemasters who have got even better since becoming the champions. They may be thinking a lot of themselves but they can back up their bragging. Star Warrior does the job on Jammer via a Running Star Blast. It’s going to take a hell of a team to get the belts back off them
Morpheus pinned Omega. Fortunes not been so kind to Omega in recent months having lost the belt and then being beaten by both Grogan and Mangus soon after. He just doesn’t look as slick in the ring and it’s clear Morpheus wants it more today. He is a man on a mission and uses TRIP TO HADES twice but it has lost a bit of venom. Omega doesn’t sell the move but is now struggling. Things well set for Morpheus who takes advantage and nails Natural Disaster for the win
Lord Nexus struggles to a winning debut against Mimic via TITAN DROP. First look at the Titan newcomer. He gets the biggest cheer as the new darling of the home crowd. However it’s nearly a nightmare. Mimic almost beats him in under a minute with MIME NERVE SLEEPER. Desperate to show his credentials Lord Nexus clings on and escapes the hold only to miss his chance to break Mimic’s momentum and end up in it again. Somehow he forces another break by grabbing the ropes. Mimic doesn’t relent and dishes out a Fisherman’s suplex which also comes close to bringing him his pay day. How many chances does Lord Nexus need? Thankfully this is the close call that ignites him and he now turns on the style. Unlike his opponent he doesn’t need several goes with his finisher as it yields success first time. Spontaneous eruptions of confetti from the crowd. Lord Nexus speaks to them and gets a huge pop as he pays the departed Paladin Power a big compliment and hopes he can make Titan just as proud but he pledges to try not to give them quite so many scares as he did tonight
Commander Sam mauls Mangus. You can’t hold a big rivalry back. Their last run favoured Mangus so Sam is longing to turn the tables. No messing about as Sam wins in barely a minute after his crippling SAM’S ATOMIC DROP. Mangus has spasms in his spine for days afterwards
Vice walks over Silvar. Sin is at ringside meaning double trouble. None of the GWF officials on duty have the confidence to send him away. It’s a dangerous combo as this motley duo seem intent on causing as much suffering and carnage as they can. Silvar seems to be the guy most often fed to newcomers to put them over but tries his best to shake that tag but has nothing to offer here. Perhaps intimidated by the company in and out the ring he folds weakly to a low blow
Caiman defeats Mighty Grogan with HANDICAPPER. Grogan has had his moments in the GWF since he joined but remains a model of inconsistency.
Card 104 - Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
Galaxian champ, KO Keller, beat Caiman by DQ. Caiman blows it as he feels the pressure of what’s riding on it. Understandable when in touching distance of such a huge prize. Keller continues to look strong. THE TEN COUNT might not of led to the pin but made things tough for Caiman and rattled his brain. Might of had a lot to do with impairing Caiman’s judgement later
Silvar beat Montrol with TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER. Montrol does not look in the slightest bit impressive. Not to detract from Silvar’s joy. He doesn’t win often and most of the roster is genuinely pleased for him
Star Warrior beat Mangus by DQ. No holding back in this match. Mangus probably just shades it (one failed attempt with THE ANNIHILATOR) but then wants to punish the bragging Star Warrior by smashing him with a drinks tray on the outside. “I did it because I wanted to burst his bubble. That bruise on his head will be a reminder that he is just as vulnerable as the rest of us” exclaims Mangus
Defiance wins over Polarity. Defiance trying to rebuild bruised rep after coming up short in their recent title challenge. They show character to bounce back as they nullify Sin’s cheating and Jammer puts him away with BAD NIGHT
Cosmos beat Rama. They engage in free flowing action but essentially it’s a squash and Cosmos gets the submission from MASTERLOCK
Morpheus takes no prisoners against Mimic. He batters the mime artist and casually drops him with TRIP TO HADES. At the moment he is outshining his rival Omega. If beats Omega again he could get a title shot, not something we’ve seen for some time.
Card 105 - Titan Sportatorium:
Morpheus again defeated Omega. Signs of life from Omega as he makes a better fight of it but still very much second best to his great rival. Morpheus needs several goes at it but TRIP TO HADES eventually does for him
Lord Nexus pinned Montrol after TITAN DROP. Why waste time in bringing these two face to face in the ring. The match is booked immediately after their debuts and the rivalry (some might say feud) already has lots of fan interest. Early signs that Lord Nexus is much the superior wrestler as he canters to victory
Gang of Three defeated Commander Sam and the Gamemasters. Just the kind of match Omega has always tried to avoid but there’s no escaping it now Vice has been allowed in. Dirty tactics win the day as Sin and Vice steak victory from under the nose of their opponents. They put Salvation on top and he keeps trying FIGURE EIGHT ROLL UP on Sam until it succeeds
Hechilles and Caiman triumph against Defiance. Caiman still feeling sorry for himself after his blow out against KO Keller. His buddy Hechilles urges him to dust himself down and help him make a big tag team push. They work really well together and mostly control the flow. Blood is pinned after feeling THE END and later on HANDICAPPER
Tano ends Silvar’s one match winning streak! Tano hitting the singles version of DEIMOS DRIVER (not as potent in singles as only +1) to stun Silvar long off to get the pin fall
Mimic uses MIME NERVE SLEEPER to upset Mangus in a match that generates low fan interest.
Card 106 - Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
The Gamemasters defeated Vice and Sin in a non-title contest. Could there ever be a more vile, cheapshooting combo than this ever dreamt up? Bookies are so certain they’ll lose by DQ that they refuse all bets on this outcome. As it happens the Gamemasters battle to an outright victory but they do have problems. Eventually Cosmos snares Vice with MASTERLOCK to avoid a potential banana skin. They may be on a hot run but they are not the finished article yet
The Deimos Dazzlers overcome Commander Sam and KO Keller. Always a party atmosphere when these two wrestle on Deimos and they cause a massive upset. Not so much that they won but in how they did it. Against probably the two top singles guys they orchestrate a win in just 3 moves. KO Keller making a mistake using the ropes and quickly finding himself on the mat and on the end of DEIMOS DRIVER
Montrol beat Silvar. High hopes Silvar could repeat his victory from the previous meeting but Montrol gains some small measure of revenge thanks to MONTROL STEAMROLLER
Caiman beat Blood via DQ (both matches between the rival teams end this way). Blood is on the ropes but kicks out after HANDICAPPER. In his efforts to fight back and turn the tables he draws the ire of the ref and a DQ decision Hechilles wins against Jammer by DQ. Hechilles very much in control despite being frustrated that Jammer survives THE END. He keeps up the pressure forcing Jammer into defensive measures such as brawling out of the ring
Mimic defeated Mangus by DQ. Bit more heat this time around. Mangus having to deflect criticism back in his homeworld in Cygnus for losing badly in recent weeks. Also being mocked by his great rival Commander Sam. Starting in brutal fashion Mangus goes all out for a fast win but it’s the stuff of nightmares for him again. He is nearly beaten once more by MIME NERVE SLEEPER. Mangus is consumed with fear of another clean defeat so grabs a weapon and strikes out at Mimic and doesn’t wait for the bell to get out of town.
GWF REPORT (2083 CARDS 103 - 106)
Champions:
*GWF Galaxian Champ: KO Keller
*GWF Tag Champs: The Gamemasters
Latest News:
Rumours abound that a training camp and wrestling federation have now been formed on Aethra. Omega is put under some pressure by Morpheus (after a couple matches to blowout their problems the ill feeling is cooling and Morpheus, happy with his victories, is said to be fully co-operating with Omega once again) to relax his stance on Aethra. The GWF was in Aethra several cards back and the word was very much that they were ready to invade the fed given the chance. The two of them are seen at a Deimos restaurant sharing a meal with Morpheus trying to sound very persuasive. Poor old Omega kept getting his wine glass topped up and by the end looked more than a bit tipsy. At least he and Morpheus seemed good chums by the end of the night. Fresh from their productive dinner meeting Morpheus (with dollar signs in his eyes) is pleased to announce that Omega has relented and scheduled another card at the Aethran War Dome (perhaps paving the way for Aethrans to join the GWF in the future). The local promoter entrusted by Omega worryingly books the card entirely as cage matches to satisfy the Aethran penchant for violence and titles the card as 'BLOOD AND GUTS'. He then makes a deal with Network Deimos bosses who love the theme and behind Omega's back turn it into a special one off PPV. Omega has to agree to it happening or lose his prime tv slot. There are dark tremors reverberating and a very high probability that we will see Aethrans entering the federation very soon.
In other news Morpheus has been made top contender to the singles belt. He has made a stellar comeback and craves the glory of being the champion. He also has some strong fan backing as his popularity grows. Perhaps more notable than that is the astonishing way the Deimos Dazzlers dismantled the superstar pairing of KO Keller and Commander Sam. Nobody could ever of seen that coming. KO Keller admits “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t embarrassed by what happened but fair play to them. I just have to dust myself down and get on with things. Gotta belt to defend”. His partner, Sam, didn’t take it quite as well and has been critical of Keller for not taking the match seriously. Not likely they will be teaming again anytime soon. The final upset surrounds Mangus and his inability to beat Mimic. Mangus is in a state over it. Will he risk stepping in the ring with Mimic again?

Card 107 - BLOOD AND GUTS - Aethran War Dome
(Is there any significance in the fact that neither Omega or the Gamemasters are booked to compete at the event? It was probably pretty common knowledge that Omega was against the idea of all this and pressurised into allowing it. Perhaps his influence spread to Star Warrior and Cosmos. Maybe Star Warrior is beginning to listen to his father once more)
All cage matches
Polarity overcome KO Keller and Morpheus. Word is that Keller did not want to come to Aethra and wrestle but the tv execs would not allow the top GWF star to sit at home and not appear on a PPV event. He was even less happy at being partnered with Morpheus (against whom he will defend his title on the next show). Both men were uneasy together with growing animosity before, during and after. There is additional concern facing Polarity as in a cage Sin is more or less free to do as he pleases. He was searched for weapons before entering by GWF officials but chances are the violent Aethran crowd would be throwing things at the cage that could be used. Polarity reserve most of their punishment for KO Keller who is hit with KNUCKLE SANDWICH twice and has 6 tokens by the time he is finally finished with FIGURE EIGHT ROLL UP. Morpheus is not impressed with Keller and says he did not have the stomach for the fight. Keller says things will be different when they square off and there is no way Morpheus can get his grubby hands on the belt
Vice gets the better of Commander Sam. Both revelling in cage combat. It’s a hell of a battle which Vice eventually wins. Poor Sam managed to prevent an escape after WICKEDNESS but it had taken it’s toll and Vice always looked more likely after that with a spiteful knee right on Sam’s head from the turnbuckle finishing it. Vice escapes and then tries to re-enter the cage armed with a baseball bat he grabs from within the crowd. The Aethran crowd are encouraging a violent attack but ringside bouncers (installed to protect wrestlers from the crowd) pull him back
Hechilles and Caiman are too good for Defiance. Both Hechilles and Caiman like to tease each other over who has the bigger finisher (both among the most damaging around). On this occasion it’s Caiman’s as HANDICAPPER beats Jammer. The team looking good for a raid on the tag straps
Lord Nexus beats Montrol again. One way traffic the whole way. Montrol seems out of his depth in this rivalry. The only positive he can take from this match up is that he manages to last a long time as he has built up seven tokens by the time he was beaten
Mangus escapes against Mimic. Mangus needs to banish those demons with a win but it’s almost the most embarrassing defeat of all. We are just a few minutes in when Mimic applies MIME NERVE SLEEPER and appears to incapacitate Mangus. In fact Mimic is almost over the top and ready to climb down the other side but he pauses to make some silly gestures. The skit proves fatal as it gives Mangus a chance to grab a leg just as he was about to throw it over. Mangus pulls Mimic forcefully into the cage and although it’s still a struggle he finally wins a match with an Alien Romp leading to a successful climb out of the cage. Relief for Mangus but possibly not the end of this offbeat rivalry
Mighty Grogan wins over Silvar. A cage battle is not the really the sort of match that suits either guy and you could tell. Despite the lack of enthusiasm for the brutality of the match type they gave it a go. Fair play to both combatants as they kept it as pure a wrestling contest as they could and did not use the cage sides at all. Grogan predictably ending triumphant after weakening Silvar with UPPER CRUSH and then an Olympic Roll Up to pave a way to winning.
Card 108 - Fire Island:
Galaxian champ, KO Keller, knocks back the challenge of Morpheus. Having gained a bit of a cult following there are a surprising amount of people hoping Morpheus can do it. He has been thwarted in so many attempts to win the title from Omega in the past. KO Keller’s confidence has been knocked so this was a good time to face him. Sadly for Morpheus it’s over in the blink of an eye. KO Keller finding form when it matters and pinning Morpheus with THE TEN COUNT. It was only the third move of the match. Morpheus looked devastated, was that his last big chance gone?
Deimos Dazzlers go over Polarity. A thrilling double superplex puts an end to Sin’s resistance. Salvation’s refusal to attempt pin saves ultimately costing Polarity
Caiman beats Jammer by DQ to keep up the theme of highly charged matches between these guys
Blood beats Hechilles by DQ. Part of a rivalry brewing between Defiance and the Hechilles/Caiman partnership. Blood a deserving winner but frustrated it wasn’t a clean victory after failing with SCAR TISSUE during the contest
Silvar upsets Star Warrior. Low key match for Star Warrior serving as a reminder that he needs to keep his feet on the ground. Seems that Star Warrior does not get the message as he looks pretty full of himself. Too much showboating and it comes back to bite him as he misses a turnbuckle charge and Silvar quickly pins him
Omega pinned Mimic after TOMAHAWK THRUST. Bottom of the card for Omega as he tries to pull himself out of a big slump. This’ll certainly help him as he looks a bit more like his old self and is rarely troubled.
Card 109 - Fire Island:
Lord Nexus overcame Montrol. Things ticking along nicely in this feud for the talented Titan. He peppers his rival with rapid moves and finishes with TITAN DROP. It’s just all too easy and that’s 3 in 3 for Lord Nexus in matches between them now
Mighty Grogan defeated Vice but ends up with a bloody nose after being attacked with a weapon as the ref tries to raise his hand in victory. The crowd enjoys it as Grogan responds to this by picking Vice up. Using his immense strength Grogan hoists him clean over his head and tosses him back out the ring
Hechilles and Caiman overcome Polarity by DQ and keep their win streak going
Morpheus pinned Silvar following TRIP TO HADES. With a couple of recent victories signalling a surprise upturn in Silvar’s fortunes he gets a mini push. Before the bout he was told that if he beats Morpheus here he will get serious consideration for a title shot. Word is that Morpheus is horrified to hear that Omega is dangling this carrot in front of Silvar and is determined to prevent that happening. Losing to Silvar was always unlikely but nonetheless Morpheus really raises his game and mostly controls the flow of the battle
Blood is too tough for Mangus who folds meekly. Blood can now see why Mimic is having so much success against him
Star Warrior eventually beats Tano with NOVA LAUNCH (takes 3 of these). Star Warrior doing a lot of arguing with the ref as he feels the pressure of performing alone. The match is littered with mistakes and could easily of been another upset outcome.
Card 110 - Phobos Sundome:
Tag champs, the Gamemasters, keep the belts against Hechilles and Caiman. Star Warrior is tormented by his recent singles loss to Silvar and admits he did not prepare properly and won’t make the same mistake. He looks more focused in an entertaining battle and carries his team to the win by nailing Caiman with NOVA LAUNCH
KO Keller defeated Salvation in a non-title match. Salvation shows flashes of singles ability but in the end folds to THE TEN COUNT
Lord Nexus beat Morpheus by DQ. Lord Nexus toppled over the rope after trying to get to his feet following a spinning neck breaker. Rather than try and continue Morpheus leaps over the rope and starts hurling the young Titan into virtually every object available. The bell rings relentlessly but he just carries before eventually leaving Lord Nexus in a heap across the ring announcer’s table. Not good behaviour but Morpheus is angry and has clearly decided that he will take his recent belt failure frustration out on Lord Nexus. There is concern for Lord Nexus as he receives medical assistance but then cheers as after a few mins he wobbles to his feet and gives the thumbs up to signal he is ok. Lots of criticism thrown Morpheus’ way but he can’t understand what all the fuss is about reasoning it’s better to let it all out in the ring. “Isn’t that why we formed the GWF?”
Mimic goes over Mangus again. Takes just a couple of minutes having stunned Mangus with a leap off the turnbuckle, he applies MIME NERVE SLEEPER. The rivalry continues. Unbelievable that Mimic has haunted Mangus for so long as usually this would be a real mismatch
Vice beat Omega by DQ. He may of lost but Omega’s road to recovery continues as he toughens up and fights fire with fire against Vice. The crowd was not happy with the ref as he should probably of disqualified Vice several times over. Omega is apologetic but says he won’t take any nonsense from rulebreakers like Vice
Deimos Dazzlers win over Blood and Commander Sam by DQ ruling (Sam steps in as Jammer is having physio on what is described as an old ailment). The Dazzlers doing just that as they once again show they are a better team than often given credit for. Blood loses by DQ but could easily of been a clean pin after getting hit with DEIMOS DRIVER. Sam looks despondent at another loss and is fast finding out that there is an art to tag team wrestling.
GWF REPORT (2083 CARDS 107 - 110)

*GWF Galaxian Champ: KO Keller
*GWF Tag Champs: The Gamemasters
Latest News:
GALACTIC BATTLEGROUNDS BUILD UP ... Lord Nexus tops the bill. He is buzzing about the chance to team up with his hero, Omega, at GB8. With Omega’s domination at an end it is a chance for other guys to move up the card. This is a perfect opportunity for the talented young Titan to make a name for himself. The match came about because Morpheus (bitter about losing his shot at belt glory) seemed to take it all out on the young Titan. Lord Nexus escaped with cuts and bruises. Omega said he will take care of the matter by speaking to Morpheus about his actions and explain what went on was not acceptable but Lord Nexus said it is better if the differences are settled in the ring honourably. Morpheus has struggled to find a partner for the challenge. Montrol wants the spot but Morpheus knows he isn’t exactly a strong partner and is trying to find someone else. There is also a big match as partners Cosmos and Star Warrior face off. Omega thinks it’s a great idea as it is in the spirit of the GWF. He also hopes it will keep them grounded as they have both been a bit unpredictable in their characters (especially his son). At the moment there are no planned matches with the belts on line which seems a bit odd. Omega maybe trying to show that there is more to life than championship belts and build up the rivalries.

Early Classics is a lot of fun. I'm not too worried about completing it, I just enjoy the fun wrestlers and seeing what people do with them.

Card 111 - Phobos Sundome: Polarity go over Omega and Mighty Grogan in then main event. The two Cetus stars are no match for the perfect synchronicity of Polarity. Salvation gets the pin against Omega with FIGURE EIGHT ROLL UP. He kept trying it and eventually it was successful
Star Warrior pinned Montrol after a missed deathjump. Not sure how Star Warrior got out of this one as the winner. He is not impressive against Montrol who is not shy about using MONTROL STEAMROLLER (4). Suppose Star Warrior deserves credit for keep kicking out but Montrol blows it more than Star Warrior staging a great comeback. He just wants too many bites of the cherry and gets reckless when going to the top rope. A clumsy effort to dive on top of Star Warrior sees him crashing into the mat and pinned as a direct result
Cosmos crushes Lord Nexus. Keen to test himself against as many wrestlers as he can Lord Nexus now goes against Cosmos. He is ready to accept being the underdog and the one the fans want to see lose but gets a big surprise as it seems more of the crowd are cheering for him. Unfortunately he is blown away in three moves. He opens up by getting a moonsault wrong after which Cosmos saps his energy via a Gamemaster Grip. Lord Nexus sinks to the canvas upon which Cosmos swiftly applies MASTERLOCK for an easy submission. Lord Nexus sportingly accepts the defeat and admits he still has much to learn. He then praises the fans for their unwavering support. Even in defeat Lord Nexus comes out looking good
Blood quickly beats Mimic. Irritated by some previous ramblings Mangus challenges Blood to see if he can do better against Mimic. Never one to back down Blood takes it on. It’s a strange run of events as it is over in a flash with Blood emerging the victor but he also nearly suffered the same fate. Mimic catching Blood out with a sunset flip that so nearly resulted in a pin in a matter of seconds. Looking to capitalise immediately Mimic goes to the top of buckle but Blood is nowhere near stunned enough. Blood gets to his feet and Mimic’s face goes into a panic as he is grabbed and tossed forcefully into the ring and then pinned with ridiculous ease. Blood is moving high in the singles rankings. Despite his allegiance to tag teaming it may well be that he is set to have more success when wrestling alone
Mangus, with a point to prove, mauls Jammer. Vicious wave after wave of attacks ends with THE ANNIHILATOR and Jammer’s shoulders on the mat for the three
Rama beat Vice by DQ. The youngster prefers not to win this way but it’s always nice to have your hand raised in victory.
GB8 UPDATE
Montrol will partner Morpheus. Seems Morpheus has few friends among the roster and is left with no choice. A belt will be defended after all as KO Keller says he cannot think of himself as a proper champ if he is not regularly defending at the biggest events. The top contender is announced as Vice. Groans are heard as this nasty rule breaker has been given the chance but the records don’t lie. Since entering the GWF he has only been pinned once and can list Omega, Commander Sam and Silvar among his victories. Mangus and Mimic sign to square off again. It is an intense rivalry even allowing for the muteness of Mimic but sometimes the lack of noise adds something. As the old saying goes the silence can be deafening. Commander Sam in a slow burner of a rivalry takes on Blood. Sam seems fed up with some tag matches he has been involved in feeling his partners are letting down. Blood is the latest culprit but of course refuses to accept responsibility for their pairing. Sam seems to think two top ranked singles wrestlers can just turn up and easily beat established teams.

Card 112 - Charon Ice Castle:
KO Keller beats Commander Sam with THE TEN COUNT in a non-title match up. Billed as a TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS final rematch. Not sanctioned by the GWF but KO Keller challenges Sam for possession of his trophy. Sam says “sounds like fun, why not”. KO Keller wins the bout rather easily but Commander Sam backtracks and refuses to hand over the trophy. KO Keller calls Sam a crook who has effectively stolen what is now rightfully his
Caiman beat Star Warrior by DQ in a disappointing contest. Star Warrior still struggling to control his temper and puts his hands on the ref
Hechilles pinned Cosmos. Defeat may of been the outcome for Cosmos but he is continuing to make a name for himself. The match could of gone either way and Cosmos had left Hechilles open mouthed by easily kicking out after THE END. Hechilles in giving his rundown on match said Cosmos is a great tag wrestler but has the potential to become a phenomenal singles wrestler
Polarity beat Omega and Lord Nexus. In a bid to get match practice ahead of GB8 Omega and Lord Nexus team up. Could of chosen more wisely than to face Polarity. They are not the sort of team to be trying to hone your tag skills and can easily leave you injured. Sure enough the violent methods of Sin make the match worthless as he smashes Omega with KNUCKLE SANDWICH. Fortunately Omega avoids getting too badly hurt, all that is hurt is a little bit of pride
Defiance overcomes the Deimos Dazzlers with Jammer beating Rama. The tag team scene needs an overhaul. Some of the matches are getting a little repetitive and the singles belt is being given much greater prestige. Guys like Blood and even the champs themselves are wrestling more and more singles matches of late
Mangus defeated Mighty Grogan in a match where Mimic appears at ringside. Grogan cannot lift himself to take advantage of Mangus being distracted and is second best in every department. He later admits that Mimic had probably also distracted him. When Mangus finishes the match he tries to go after Mimic but is easily given the slip. Grogan wants the chance of a rematch but Mangus refuses by saying “it’s not my fault he couldn’t concentrate”.
Card 113 - GALACTIC BATTLEGROUNDS 8 - Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
Galaxian champ, KO Keller, keeps the belt against Vice with a DQ win. Faced with a big opportunity to win the big prize Vice still can’t bring himself to be more cautious in the ring and tone down the sadistic behaviour. He picks up the belt from the timekeeper’s table and brings it down over Keller’s head. Instant DQ and to show his disdain for the authority and rules Vice then throws the belt on the floor spitting and stamping on it
Morpheus and Montrol defeated Omega and Lord Nexus. Having made it very clear he was unhappy at being lumbered with a weak partner Morpheus tries to give Montrol as little ring time as possible. However Montrol actually gets himself in most of the major incidents (which were few and far between in a long match). Montrol manages to use MONTROL STEAMROLLER on Lord Nexus even though it doesn’t come all that close to getting a pin. Later he is under a barrage of attacks from Omega, looks all over when TOMAHAWK THRUST connects but a combination of luck and surprising resourcefulness sees Montrol fall near the ropes and manage to get a leg up on them when Omega covers. Morpheus is not about to stand idly by after watching all this and wants to steal the glory for himself. Demanding a tag he then pushes Montrol out of the ring so he can be in the spotlight and to be fair he delivers. He knows Omega is getting tired and if he can just prevent him tagging out to Lord Nexus should be able to seal the match. His tactics are spot on and he wears Omega down before using TRIP TO HADES to get the win and all the kudos
Cosmos beats Star Warrior to win the battle of the Gamemasters. The partners meet in the ring and serve up an intriguing match. Star Warrior is on it from the opening bell. Cosmos is hit with NOVA LAUNCH early and hardly gets a look in during the opening minutes. However his greater experience slowly brings him back into things. He applies Gamemaster Grip in the centre of the ring and really slows Star Warrior down. Quick as a flash he latched on MASTERLOCK and Star Warrior taps out within moments. Cosmos checks on how he is after the victory announcement and gets a nod. Star Warrior is magnanimous in defeat and says that is first time he has ever felt his partner’s finisher. “That sure hurt, no wonder it’s so effective”
Mangus defeated Mimic. This rivalry has lasted over a year now. We’ve almost forgotten the intensity of the Sam-Mangus matches as this has been so intriguing to watch. Mangus walks a tightrope and struggles as Mimic copies his moves. Sadly we are not witness to another huge shock as Mangus does get the upper hand after a period of jockeying but it takes a vicious Mangus Destroyer to win it. Mangus wants this to be the end of the rivalry as he is fed up with wrestling that freak and causing his ambitions to stall
TOC belt match, Blood blows Commander Sam away. Sam comes to the ring courting some controversy as he is wearing a belt he has had made up which he calls the TOC championship (he’s never managed to capture a belt previously). It’s slightly heelish behaviour but the crowd is enjoying his showmanship. Blood is not impressed and attacks Sam before he has even removed the belt. Within a couple of minutes he has already used SCAR TISSUE twice and Sam is well beaten. Spotting the TOC belt on the floor Blood picks it up and straps it round his waist deciding it’s such a good fit that he’ll keep it
Polarity cheats to victory over the Deimos Dazzlers. A travesty of justice as Salvation is in big trouble after being subjected to DEIMOS DRIVER. Sin manages to attack and reverse the pin attempt. Tano cannot recover (Sin seems to use a weapon) and when Sin comes in as legal man he soon finishes him off. Double dose of pain for the Dazzlers as it’s a big loss in their home arena
Jammer takes a great scalp over Hechilles. Terrific grappling between them. Jammer resists a lot of pressure waiting for a mistake and it comes as Hechilles misses a top rope move. It gives Jammer a foothold and he takes the three after latching on with BAD NIGHT a few times
Caiman wins the opener against Mighty Grogan. He has to dig deep and even spend an energy sapping stint in UPPER CRUSH but comes out on top in the end.
Card 114 - Charon Ice Castle:
Tag champs, the Gamemasters, saw off the Deimos Dazzlers. A sudden slump means the Dazzlers aren’t coming into this title challenge brimming with confidence but they give their more illustrious opponents a massive early scare. They link up to nail Cosmos with DEIMOS DRIVER but he gets a shoulder up. After that the feeling was that was their chance gone and predictably the Gamemasters snuffed out any more openings they were attempting to build on. Tano gets caught in ENDGAME and that was that
Contenders match, Mighty Grogan beat Blood by DQ. The winner getting a shot at the belt. Blood will feel hard done by
Sin overcame Silvar with his vile KNUCKLE SANDWICH. Despite being the only wrestler in the roster not booked to perform at GB8 Silvar is staying upbeat and pledges to keep working hard. He gives it his best shot here but against such tactics even the best the GWF has to offer would struggle. He needs to be careful that he doesn’t incur the wrath of Sin though as he makes a very public complaint about him and urges officials search him thoroughly before every match. Sin is a dangerous guy to make an enemy of
Mangus beat Omega with THE ANNIHILATOR. Sadly it was all too easy for Mangus
Vice comes flying out the traps and completely overwhelmed Lord Nexus in just a few moves. Vice wants another shot at the belt after what he calls unfair treatment at GB8
Hechilles beat Jammer. Out of the ashes of GB8 comes a cool rivalry. This rematch is even better with Hechilles triumphing with a brilliant Russian leg sweep causing Jammer to come crashing down right on the back of his head. Means they share the spoils across their two matches.

Latest News:
Morpheus holding the fort whilst Omega attends functions and holiday celebrations in. Cetus. Probably a bit naive to let Morpheus have sole control as he gets back to find another shadowy combatant has been let in. CTA-102 is invading the GWF. Commander Krakan comes in with a big reputation and immediately aligns himself with military partner Montrol (as the senior ranking offical) in a bitter rivalry with Lord Nexus. The path that has led Krakan into the GWF to face the noble Lord Nexus has deep roots with the Galactic Wars. Krakan was raised to be an aggressor since childhood. He has a war mongering attitude and despises Titan for the death of his father and later prison term on the moon. Krakan will throw everything he has to try and defeat (cripple?) Lord Nexus. The story is described in great detail in the Classics 2084 booklet. As talented as Nexus is he has realised he stands very little chance in a two-on-one battle and has enlisted the help of KO Keller who he has befriended during his rookie year. Together they will be forming an occasional team called ‘Teamwork’ to fight off the CTA-102 threat! It’s a timely boost to the tag division. There may also be a Commander Sam-Krakan ticking time bomb here as Sam takes exception to the Krakan calling himself Commander wants to face him.
Speaking of Commander Sam, he was going around saying he is the holder of a new championship, the TOC belt, but the GWF (or more specifically Omega) refused to recognise it. It spawned a heated rivalry between Sam and KO Keller after the events of #112 where they met. KO Keller beat Sam legitimately and was expecting (under the terms of their agreement) to be handed the trophy but Sam refused and went on to create a new belt to defend in the GWF (did he have the original trophy melted down?). He immediately lost it to Blood who unexpectedly kept it and is now walking around declaring himself as the champ. The GWF is not recognising this belt but it’s a good storyline and Omega has been secretly encouraging it.
Blood maybe cavorting around with this fake belt but he is actually within touching distance of a Galaxian title opportunity. He is just as accomplished wrestling singles as he is tag and recent efforts have pushed him well up the reckoning. He has had to watch the likes of Grogan and Vice stake their claims but word is that he has been promised a run at it as reward for his excellent form. This doesn’t mean he is turning his back on tag wrestling as he still loves partnering Jammer and is very proud of their team. Blood sees no reason why he cannot pursue both belts.
It’s been a year to forget for Omega as he hardly won a match. Is it the pressure getting to him or just the fact he is past his prime? The worrying aspect is just how rapid the decline has been. The big winners this year are KO Keller and the Gamemasters as they retain the top awards. Keller also scoops most popular ahead of surprise runner up Mimic (the fans just loving his rivalry with Mangus). He is making a great run with the belt and deserves his success. Word is that Morpheus scores very highly in the voting as he made his comeback into the ring and fought with real desire to shut the mouths of those that thought his best days were behind him. He rekindled his classic rivalry with Omega and got the better of him. Newcomers Vice and Montrol moved straight into the most hated spots. Vice seems to of tipped the balance of the Polarity team and seems even nastier than even Sin. Whilst Montrol suffers from the public being wary of anyone coming out of CTA-102. The events that triggered the Galactic Wars are very hard to forget.
End of Year Awards: WRESTLER OF THE YEAR – KO Keller (runner up: Blood) TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR – The Gamemasters (runners up: Polarity) MOST POPULAR – KO Keller (runner up: Mimic) MOST HATED – Vice (runner up: Montrol)

Card 115 - Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
TOC belt match, Commander Sam sinks Blood with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP. Never one to shirk a challenge Blood gives Sam the chance to win the TOC belt back almost immediately. Sam grabs the opportunity in a win every bit as one-sided as the match he lost to Blood at GB8
Silvar beat Krakan by DQ. Memorable debut from Krakan which Lord Nexus would of watched with great interest. It’s quickly apparent Krakan is a far superior adversary than Montrol is. Silvar gives as best as he can and even prevents a speedy loss by kicking out of MILITARY MANUEVERS. Krakan is angered by the resistance and wants to punish Silvar as an example to rest of the roster. He beats up on Silvar outside the ring with excessive aggression. The poor ref then cops the anger of Krakan who grabs him by the collar when questioning the decision before seeing sense and releasing his hold
KO Keller overcame Montrol in a non-title match using a windmill of fists to stop him. It’s another tick in the win-loss column for Keller but in no way as straightforward as he thought it’d be. On three occasions the crowd holds its breath as Montrol makes covering attempts (two of those following MONTROL STEAMROLLER). It’s a strong kick out each time but nobody would of predicted Montrol building that much offence. Has Montrol upped his game because of the arrival of Krakan in the GWF?
Polarity easily see off Mangus and Mimic. Polarity have been tearing up the opposition in recent months. Up against an oddball team as Mangus and Mimic join forces. It’s crazy because the two of them have been at each other’s throats as recently as GB8. They might go back to being like that after this as they are not on the same wavelength at all. Salvation repeatedly rolls FIGURE EIGHT ROLL UP on Mangus until one sticks. Think he used it four times consecutively
Star Warrior beats Vice by DQ. Vulgar moves as expected from Vice who has created a storm by bringing Sin ringside to ringside. Star Warrior can sometimes still look slightly out of his depth in singles action but he looks confident here despite being outnumbered. Treated us to NOVA LAUNCH very early and even an old favourite of his the Cetus Sleeper. Not enough to gain victory but enough to cause consternation to Vice. It’s not a surprise when Sin makes an attack from outside the ring bringing proceedings to a halt. There is a worry when both Vice and Sin look like they are ready to gang up on Star Warrior after the bell but Cosmos who had wrestled one match earlier suspected this might happen. He is quickly on hand to make his way to the ring and armed with a metal bar forces them to back away
Caiman defeats Cosmos by DQ. Even match and a shame there is no definitive outcome to split them.
Card 116 - Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
Tag champs, the Gamemasters, lose to Polarity by DQ. Both teams carrying impressive win streaks coming into this showdown. Cosmos plays Sin at his own game whilst duelling with him on the runway. Using some tv wire ripped from under the floor he wraps it around Sin’s throat and comes a cropper as ref disqualifies him. Sin says if this is how Cosmos wants to play things then so be it
KO Keller defeated Krakan by DQ in a non-title match. Already a marquee match for Krakan. KO Keller has taken Lord Nexus under his wing and is assisting him in his rivalry already. He finds the going very tough. Krakan catches some attention for holding the upper hand for large parts. Despite a lack of wrestling technique he has a powerful offense. It’s enough to make Keller relieved to come out scraping a messy DQ win. Krakan had followed him outside the ring and as he grappled with Keller the pair of them went crashing into tables. The ref saw this as an unnecessary and dangerous move by Krakan which was why he decided to award the win to the champ
Montrol demolishes Lord Nexus. Turn up for the books as Montrol is in total control from start to finish and ends it with MONTROL STEAMROLLER
Mighty Grogan easily disposed of Mimic. No messing from Grogan here. Normally he likes to methodically build up to victory and work over his opponents. This time he makes short work of things and takes all the breath out of Mimic with UPPER CRUSH
Hechilles overcame Jammer. All action match which Hechilles prevails in after stunning Jammer with an underhook DDT
Mangus and Morpheus defeated the Deimos Dazzlers. As a team Mangus and Morpheus don’t really go together but I guess they’ve got their reasons. They certainly find the Dazzlers a handful. Morpheus is hit with DEIMOS DRIVER twice but manages to avoid being pinned whilst Mangus also has to make his fair share of kick outs. Having rode out the storm Morpheus manages to get the win under pressure. He avoids a crossbody by Tano from the top turnbuckle and uses the impact of the miss to pin him.

Card 117 - Venus Space Station Complex:
CTA-102 beats Teamwork despite a lazy effort from Montrol. He keeps tagging out to Krakan and seems unwilling (perhaps intimidated) to wrestle. Krakan doesn’t let this get in his way and asserts himself to win against Lord Nexus with MILITARY MANUEVERS
Hechilles is victorious over Star Warrior. Classy match but Star Warrior will feel aggrieved at throwing away a commanding position (he’d hit NOVA LAUNCH twice) and going down to a Russian leg sweep
Cosmos beat Caiman by DQ when Sin runs in attacking Cosmos. He ruined a well balanced high quality match. Caiman takes exception and joins forces with Cosmos to fend Sin off. Bad blood building here
Polarity defeated Defiance as Salvation pins Blood. Jammer breaks down with injury during the match
Mighty Grogan beats Omega in a great tussle full of respect. Early running made by Omega but Grogan fights back powerfully and clinches it with UPPER CRUSH. Grogan has a title shot next and he looks really ready for it
Mimic beats Silvar. No lack of fight from Silvar but Mimic is far too crafty for him.
Card 118 - Venus Space Station Complex:
(Little info nugget - a charismatic guy was in the crowd. Proving quite a distraction to the combatants in the ring. Acting like a big star he said he was here scouting the opposition as he might be joining the roster soon. When asked his name he simply said he was a big superstar who had dominated other galaxies/territories and was ready to run wild on the GWF)
Galaxian champ, KO Keller, keeps his impressive reign going (now 23 cards which is almost 2 years) as he sees off Mighty Grogan’s challenge with a solid count-out win
Krakan defeated Lord Nexus. A historic first meeting. Both trying to halt a run of losses. Krakan racking up DQs since his arrival whilst Lord Nexus early promise has faded with a series of pin fall defeats. Sadly for the popular Titan he is on the end of a comprehensive beating topped off with MILITARY MANUEVERS. Montrol then enters the ring to join Krakan and they do a number on Lord Nexus. Both coming off the ropes in turns to come crashing down on him. The arrival of KO Keller (who has been limbering up for his match nearby) is critical as he breaks things up but CTA-102 has left it’s mark on Lord Nexus. He is hurt and takes a lot of time to pick himself up and leave the ring
Gang of Three beats Morpheus, Mangus and Mimic by DQ. Match never really gets started. Within seconds Sin has been thrown outside by Morpheus and gets set upon by Mangus and Mimic. They pull a spur out of his boots (which he was obviously intending to try and use). Carnage threatens as Vice jumps down and tries to make a grab for it but Morpheus now comes out from the ring to outnumber them. Salvation keeps his place on the ring apron refusing to get involved. Sin and Vice both spit towards the opponents as they back off. Morpheus explains the actions of his team as being proactive in preventing the violence of the Gang of Three and besides it’s entertaining to the fans and helps sell tickets
Omega overcomes Montrol with TOMAHAWK THRUST (although it takes three of these to do it)
The Deimos Dazzlers go over Defiance by forfeit as Jammer pulls out the match
Star Warrior beats Silvar in just 3 moves thanks to NOVA LAUNCH. Star Warrior knows he needs to keep working to improve his singles record. Tonight’s performance won’t do his confidence for this discipline of wrestling any harm.

GWF REPORT (2084 CARDS 115 - 118)
Champions:
*GWF Galaxian Champ: KO Keller
*GWF Tag Champs: The Gamemasters
Latest News:
SHOCK NEWS ... Jammer has officially retired from the ring. He has survived an incredible amount of time considering the horrendous knee injury he suffered at the hands of Ricken Prince several years ago. Many expected him to hang up his wrestling boots long, long ago but he has carried on performing to a high level. Sadly his suspect knee has finally gotten the better of him having gnawed at away at his physical mobility for a number of years. He did a good job of masking its severity and until now no-one outside of his partner, Blood, knew just how chronic his knee was. He had never used it as an excuse in his matches. Trying to take the positives Jammer looks back on a great career and is focusing on the next chapter in his life. He rules out paths other wrestlers have taken such as managing and training. His dream is to return to Albireo and run his own fight club even though he knows he won’t be able to compete. Omega pays compliment to Jammer’s contributions by presenting Jammer with a badge of honour.
Lots of noise that a big superstar is coming ready to bring sorrow to all rule breakers and become the new star of the GWF. Maybe it’s the same chap seen on #118. There is a bit of excitement and maybe with the likes of Omega and KO Keller slowing down we need a new top guy although guys who have paid their dues might object to someone steaming in and stealing the limelight.
A move we thought we wouldn’t see due to Omega’s stance on teaming up but on the next card he will join the Gamemasters in 6 man tag action face the infamous Gang of Three. Many of the roster have taken exception to both Sin and Vice and are trying to work together to stop or at least reduce their sadistic cheating.
Krakan makes a massive statement by defeating and then injuring Lord Nexus. Widespread condemnation for his actions and can only imagine how much worse it could of been but for the timely intervention of KO Keller. His rescue saw him floor Krakan and Montrol with his punching power and forcing them to flee. Poor Lord Nexus is facing a tough early run in the GWF with this injury and his form punctuated with defeats. The news from the doctors treating him is he has some pretty bad bruising on his ribs which could take a long time to fully heal. Lord Nexus bravely vows to go on rather than take a full break. He acknowledges it may mean his ribs will take longer to recover and there is a risk of worsening them but does not want his career stalling before it has properly started.
INJURED - Lord Nexus (6)
