On my way out of town to California, I stopped at the M casino to place some bets for Sunday and to have an early dinner at the Raiders Tavern and Grill.

So Jon Gruden is suing the NFL and Roger Goodell over his email scandal. Shame on them for forcing him to have such outdated and hatful thoughts then making him put those thoughts in his emails and send them. Jokes aside I know he is suing over them releasing his emails and not others but it is fun to make fun of him. I mean if he wants to fix his public image this is not the best way to go about it. While he might have a case about what they did at the end of the day he is still the one with the thoughts and emails. Not sure what the difference is between them releasing all emails, even if it makes others look bad, and just his. The damage done to his career was his fault ultimately.

He while I have zero sympathy for Gruden. I do question the timing of the release of the emails and why when they’re investigating the Washington Football Team we only got dirt on the Raiders coach. Why did the League do nothing to Goodell’s right hand man when those emails where leaked? |

Raiders need a big win this week. I hope this isn’t another lost season. They need a win but a loss won't kill them. They are in striking distance of not just a Wild Card bid but the division. As a Lions fan I wonder what that feels like after the 2nd week. |

I had a good day on The Strip today celebrating both Thanksgiving and my parents' 51st Anniversary (which was also today, they flew to Las Vegas for their Anniversary.) At The Paris, it was great to watch the Raiders defeat the Cowboys in Overtime!
We saw the start of the game at Beer Park which is an outdoor upstairs bar in front of the Paris and there were alot of Cowboys fans sitting at the tables around us. They were not too happy with some of the calls as the Cowboys at times really helped out the Raiders with all those pass interference penalties.
Raiders move to 6-5 and are still very much in contention for the AFC West Championship.
