GWF 54 from TaurusBeast-Rider vs. MutantThe Neptunian Space Croppers seem to be delving more into singles competition this year.Earthquake vs. Exo-KingPowerhouse lost a heartbreaking decision to Highborn on the previous show. Earthquake puts his strength up against the King of the Court.Greek Gods vs. HeadsmenDarkos and Solaris represent polar opposites in this feud. That contrast is deeply reflected among the Assassins and the Gods.- GWF Tag Team Championship - Gladiators of Aethra (c) vs. TitanPowerThe fans have been wanting to see Boxer and Nexus get a crack at the tag straps for awhile. Are their talents enough against the most dominant team in this federation's history?- GWF Interplanetary Championship - Mesmer (c) vs. Mad JesterThe clown prince of the Royal Court has quickly made a name for himself using the most diabolical tactics. The Master of the Occult says now is not the time for corruption to triumph.- MAIN EVENT - - GWF Universal Championship - Thantos (c) vs. WolfAfter such a monumental performance during the Aethran Ultimate Escape main event on the last show, Wolf was granted this shot at the company's top prize. Spike was instrumental in Wolf dropping the belt to the Gamemaster at GalactiClash and will be keeping a close eye on this contest. Man, that main event. A classic! Can't wait to see who takes it! And, yes, I'm pulling for a Mutant upset.

Great to see those predictions rolling in, barflymike4ever, Swarm, Crossbones and throwingtoasters... However, I have to point out that I made a mistake with that card announcement... Wolf vs. Thantos for the GWF Universal Championship already took place on the previous show... Snap! I goofed... I've gone back and corrected the post... The MAIN EVENT for this show will be... Bishop Hell and Thantos vs. Galactic Punisher and Star WarriorI humbly apologize to anyone that was looking forward to an immediate rematch... LOL! Truly appreciate the overwhelming support, my friends... Many thanks!

GWF 54 2089.04 from Taurus
Beast-Rider vs. Mutant Mutant defeated Beast-Rider with a disqualification at 4:19 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: With Sweet Thing providing a distraction, Vanity orders The Creeper to attack Rider before the match begins. This brings Renegade charging from the back, prompting Vanity to make a quick exit with Sweet Thing in tow. Mutant seizes the opening and nearly steals the win using an undetected foreign object. Renegade blatantly interferes to save his partner, but costs him the match in the process. (Fatigue: Rider 3)
Earthquake vs. Exo-King (w/ Royal Overlord) Exo-King defeated Earthquake with a King Power Slam at 7:15 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Earthquake nearly causes Exo-King to lose his composure by breaking free of the DEATH VISE twice! With Overlord providing steady advice, King stays on track and wears down his inexperienced opponent until he can put him down for the pinfall. (Fatigue: Earthquake 3)
Greek Gods vs. Headsmen Proteus defeated Death Knight with an OVERHEAD TOSS at 2:14 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: The Greeks make short work of Death Knight, making sure that he gets nowhere near his corner to make a tag. Executioner tries to make the save, but Actagon cuts him off. Watching from the back, Darkos shows obvious displeasure with his team's opening performance. (Fatigue: n/a)
- Championship Match - Gladiators of Aethra vs. TitanPower (w/ Trainer Jim) for the GWF Tag Team Championship This match ended in a draw (time limit) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: The advantage is traded back and forth so frequently that it is virtually impossible to tell who is in control from one minute to the next. Brute busts Nexus open by hurling him face-first into the ringside steps. Returning the favor, Boxer nails Brute with a flurry of hooks and jabs to make him bleed. As all four men push the envelope, TitanPower draw upon the energy of the crowd. Nexus puts Brute down with a TITAN DROP and when Massacre runs in to make the save, Boxer hits him with a Titan Drop of his own. The ref slides into position, but the bell rings before he slaps the canvas even once. (Fatigue: Brute 5, Massacre 3 - Boxer 1, Nexus 4)
Gladiators of Aethra retained the GWF Tag Team Championship
- From the Board of Directors - - Once and for all, Spike and Wolf are going to settle their differences. And it will be done in a Best of Seven Cosmic Cage series that will commence at GWF 56.
- Starting this year, the format for Event Horizon has been changed. It is now a 40-Man Tournament! The opening round will be split into two separate cards, taking place at GWF 55 from Gemini and GWF 59 from Virgo. The quarterfinals will take place at GWF 63 from Sagittarius. At this point, there will be 10 competitors remaining. They will be split into two separate brackets for the semifinal round, which will consist of two separate round robin series to be held at GWF 67 and GWF 71 (locations yet to be decided). The finalists will meet at GWF 73 to decide the winner of this year's Event Horizon and who will get the first GWF Universal title shot of 2090.
- Championship Match - Mesmer vs. Mad Jester (w/ Royal Overlord) for the GWF Interplanetary Championship Mesmer defeated Mad Jester with a disqualification at 1:38 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: At his first opportunity, Jester dumps Mesmer over the top rope. Instead of making a serious attempt to win, he starts choking Mesmer with a length of chain found beneath the ring. Overlord tries convincing the ref to let his client's tactics slide, but his argument falls on deaf ears.(Fatigue: n/a)
Mesmer retained the GWF Interplanetary Championship
Bishop Hell and Thantos (w/ Royal Overlord) vs. Galactic Punisher and Star Warrior (w/ Omega) Bishop Hell defeated Galactic Punisher with a Bishop Blast at 12:45 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: During the first half of the bout, Punisher and Star Warrior work together as a constant chain of motion. Bishop lands a lucky blow and while Overlord distracts the ref, burns Punisher with HELLFIRE. Omega takes out Overlord with a TOMAHAWK THRUST, but the flow of the contest has been irreversibly altered. Thantos moves in and tries to snap on the MASTERLOCK, but Star Warrior cuts him down. With all four men in the ring, Bishop takes advantage of Punisher's weakened state and pins him for a fast three count. (Fatigue: Bishop 3, Thantos 1 - Punisher 2, SW 2)

Mutant with a DQ win...rare. Renegade eager to protect his partner. Exo King with the win. the Royal Overlord keeping him focused. The Greek Gods stop the Headsmen cold. the Masked Assassins aren't fairing too well other than a few attacks. in the ring they seem to have stalled The Gladiators saved by the bell. Titan Power pushed the Aethran team to the limit they just ran out of time big news from the Board. Best of Seven between Spike & Wolf should rock the house. and Event Horizon gets a face lift can't wait to see how it goes. Jester gets DQ'd. Mesmer holds onto the IP title Hell & Thantos with a clean win, color me surprised. good show Pariah. always eager to see what happens next

Always enjoy your post-show commentary, barflymike4ever... I wanted everyone to have a chance to win Event Horizon this year - Hence the new format... Going forward, I will try to include as many characters as possible in this competition... I've always been a big fan of the 'Best-of' series and it's something else I want to do with more regularity... Spike vs Wolf will set a very high standard, I'm thinking... Truly appreciate you taking the time to read and share your thoughts, my friend... Many thanks!

Always great to see fellow promoters getting involved, barflymike4ever and Crossbones... After winning EH in 2087, Star Warrior got knocked out by Executioner in the first round of 2088... Can he get past Massacre in 2089? Bounty Hunter has already dropped a match to Reptillo... Failing to beat Badger will add to the early disappointment of his rookie year... And the most unbalanced first round encounter has to be Beast-Rider vs Spike... Truly appreciate you taking the time to read and comment, my friends... Should have this show posted later tonight... Many thanks for staying tuned!
