GWF 56
2089.06 from Cancer
Pulsar (w/ Trainer Jim) vs. The Creeper (w/ Vanity and Sweet Thing)
The Creeper defeated Pulsar with a disqualification at 11:57
Match Rating: 2.50
Match Notes: Pulsar shows off some great aerial moves in this steady back and forth encounter, but is almost overwhelmed by The Creeper's unorthodox approach. A run-in by Renegade leads to an unexpected technical decision. Trainer Jim tries to prevent Renegade from interfering in the match, but the wildman cannot be contained. (Fatigue: Creeper 2 - Pulsar 2)
- Championship Match -
Mesmer vs. Death Knight
for the GWF Interplanetary Championship
Mesmer defeated Death Knight with a BLACKOUT at 1:56
Match Rating: 1.00
Match Notes: Before the match, the ref orders Darkos to keep his Assassins away from ringside. Otherwise, he will immediately award Mesmer the decision. If Knight has any kind of strategy, it quickly dissolves while facing the scientifically gifted champion. (Fatigue: n/a)
Mesmer retained the GWF Interplanetary Championship
Blood Brothers vs. Neptunian Space Croppers
Beast-Rider defeated Splatter with a disqualification at 6:16
Match Rating: 1.50
Match Notes: Pulling out all the stops, Viper and Splatter show they are more interested in trying to injure their opponents than winning the match. Their blatant rulebreaking costs them, but they do not seem to care. With Trainer Jim leading the way, the Fighting Titans arrive to prevent the Assassins from causing serious harm. (Fatigue: Rider 1, Renegade 3)
- Six-Man Tag Match -
Galactic Punisher and Powerhouse vs. Mad Jester and Highborn (w/ Royal Overlord)
Galactic Punisher defeated Mad Jester with a disqualification at 12:43
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: An absolutely stellar back and forth encounter that comes to a disappointing finish. Punisher hits Jester with the VERDICT, but is taken out by Queen before he can attempt a cover. As all six men start brawling inside the ring, Jester uses Overlord's scepter to blatantly choke out Punisher and the ref calls for the bell. (Fatigue: Punisher 1, Earthquake 3, Massif 1 - King 2, Queen 1, Jester 1)
Bishop Hell enters the fray and attacks Punisher. It looks like the Court have the upper hand until Powerhouse use their combined strength to clear the ring! Jester foolishly tries to leap on top of Earthquake and gets press slammed over the top rope and through a table. In order to send a message, Massif and Earthquake roll out to the floor and deliver the DOUBLE QUAKE. Jester requires medical attention (out for 3 cards).
- Cosmic Cage Match (First in Best of Seven) -
Spike vs. Wolf
Spike defeated Wolf with an Atomic Spike at 17:53
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: Wolf frustrates the Aethran with his agility, but Spike is relentless. He grabs his opponent and pounds him repeatedly into the cage wall until blood starts to fly. Clawing his way to a vertical base, Wolf retaliates with a whip into the turnbuckles. Spike reverses the momentum and catches Wolf with a devastating combination to take the early lead in the series. (Fatigue: Spike 3 - Wolf 4)
Spike leads series 1-0
- Championship Match -
Thantos vs. Star Warrior
for the GWF Universal Championship
Thantos defeated Star Warrior with a MASTERLOCK at 14:26
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: For a good portion of this contest, it looks like Star Warrior is going to become a two-time champion. He hits Thantos with a variety of rapid fire strikes before landing the NOVA LAUNCH. Thantos sneaks a shoulder off the canvas just in time to beat the count. Picking up the pace, Star Warrior mistimes a leap from the top turnbuckle and Thantos is able to steal the advantage. Reacting quickly he traps his challenger in the middle of the ring and forces him to tap out. (Fatigue: Thantos 3 - SW 1)
Thantos retained the GWF Universal Championship
